Sephiroth: Feeling better? *scowls and snorts* I feel like garbage. Thanks for asking. *rubs the side of her head, grumbling* I don’t know whether to eat something, go back to bed, or have a bath… *scowls and moves out of the room, flopping face down on the bed*
Jenna: *groans at Seph* That’s not what I meant… *sighs and lowers her head. She then moves back over to the bed and sits down again. However, she show no signs of intending to sleep yet* Do you remember yesterday?
Sephiroth: *raises her head, muttering* I remember it…. Why? It wasn’t very interesting. *puts her head down again* *”And judging by today, it’s not looking good either.”* *rubs the side of her head and scowls, curling up*
Jenna: You were pretty out of it… You scared me so much.. *she lowers her head and sighs* Seph, please, stop being so depressed.
Sephiroth: *”Why? Name one thing I can do right now that is in any way enjoyable.”* *sits up, scowling* I can’t control anything… *punches the bed, tensing up, growling* And as this stupid thing continues, I’m going to lose my abilities. It happened to you.
Jenna: What happened to me is not necessarily related to what will happen to you, Seph. Your powers are much different from mine. You don’t channel energy through your very body in order to do what you do. *she shakes her head. She then looks at Seph* Why can’t you just go with the flow? Is control all that important? I’ve never had control of anything.. *frowns*
Sephiroth: *scowls at her* Let me put this into perspective for you… everyone has at least some degree of control over their life and can prevent what they don’t want. I didn’t choose to become a female. I didn’t choose to become pregnant. I had no control over any of it. Why should I go with the flow? I can’t stop it, I can’t do anything. *growls* Just fuck everything. *turns her head away* I can’t do anything, so why bother? Whoever wanted to drive me into the ground has done so. I just wish they would get off.
Jenna: *shakes her head. She then moves to grip onto Seph’s shoulders so that she can try to force Seph up enough that she can look directly into the other woman’s eyes* That is not true, Seph. Were you given no choice in falling in love with me, hm? Were you given no choice in having sex or not? You have the choice to choose living. You have the choice to care for me. You have the choice to take care of yourself and not just allow yourself to wallow away in sorrow and self-pity… *deeply frowns at her*
Sephiroth: *looks back at her, a hint of amusement and a gleam of her normal personality in her face for a few moments* I didn’t really have a choice in falling in love with you. It was something that happened, whether I had any concious choice over it or not. If I tried to decide otherwise, I don’t think it would happen. What is is what will be. *grunts slightly, then shakes her head* I have the choice to do all of that, sure. But that’s not what I’m so damn unhappy about. If we can just… *makes a frustrated motion with her hands* be turned into something else one day or the next against our will, then it’s likely that those forces that do it can do anything. So the choice in the first place is a lie. It was never really ours if it could be just taken away without any consent.
Jenna: *shakes her head at Seph* That isn’t true, Seph. Yes, they were able to change your form, however, that is not your free will. Yes, there are beings alive who can take away even that, such as the snake. However, I never gave up choosing to act on my own will just because of that. *reaches over to gently stroke the side of Seph’s face* The ones who messed with our genders.. I can’ tell by their energy patterns that they can do nothing more than change the physical state of things. You are still you, no matter what your shape. That’s what I keep on trying to tell you. *shakes her head* And I love you so much, Seph. If I need to, I’ll stay up for an entire week to just insure that you don’t do something stupid in this depressed state of yours..
Sephiroth: *listens carefully to Jenna’s words, occaisionally nodding in agreement, thoughtful. However, she doesn’t seem any less unhappy at the end of it* What do you think I’m going to do – throw myself down some stairs or slash my wrists? That’s not my style, you should know that. *mumbles* Thanks for listening to me… even if you can’t do anything, I.. I appreciate it. I appreciate being able to unload what is on my mind and have it acknowledged.
Jenna: I always listen to you, Seph. Even when you don’t listen to how much of a jerk you’re being, I listen.. *yawns for a moment. However, she continues showing no signs of going to sleep any time soon* I do have to stress that you need to take care of yourself, Seph.. Unless you truly want to make yourself and the child inside you sick.
Sephiroth: *doesn’t seem that interested, and shakes her head, momentarily irritated* Go to sleep, Jen. *moves off the bed, heading for the stairs* I’m going to take care of myself, then come back to bed.
Jenna: *shakes her head. She then slides out of the bed* I’m fine, Seph. *moves to follow after Sephiroth*
Sephiroth: *stops in the stairwell* You’re going to follow me everywhere? This might become a bit awkward, you know. You better not follow me into the bathroom when I want to relieve myself. *heads into the kitchen and begins to go through the cupboards, scowling* It’s not here…
Jenna: *tilts her head* I do not see where that would be a problem even if I were in the bathroom at the same time as you. Human couples tend to share bathrooms. I know their pairings sometimes get ready in the morning together, simply using two different parts at once. So, it should be a moot issue.. *glances up at the cupboard* What is not here?
Sephiroth: *mutters* Cupcake mix… I think I threw it away yesterday while thinking about something else. *scowls and takes out some spaghetti, banging the cupboard shut afterwards* I’ll have to make do with this. *places the spagetti in a saucepan and adds water, placing it on the stove. She then sits down at the table and folds her arms, waiting* If you ever wanted to cook for me, that is pretty much the easiest thing you can prepare.
Jenna: Yes, you were ripping apart a box… Then I brought Hojo in since I wanted to know if the Jenova inside you was making you whack out. *softly sighs then glances at what Sephiroth is doing. She then shakes her head* I think I’d rather grab food from human restaurants if you couldn’t make your own food. Things like that.. I don’t knwo anything about cooking.
Sephiroth: *looks up at her hopefully* Could you? I should make a list of what I like to eat. I couldn’t cook anything appetizing if my life depended on it. *closes her eyes* I wasn’t whacking out. I was being very sane and I explained everything quite clearly.
Jenna: *nods at Seph’s first question* Yes, take-out food is rather common in civilized cultures. It would be rather easy. If you want, I can even take you out to eat at a restaurant. *shrugs. She then deeply frowns at Sephiroth* No, you were not coherent at all, Seph. Please, do not try to pass yesterday’s events as “sane”. They were not. You were out of it.
Sephiroth: *tilts her head to one side* How so? They were sane as sane could be. They were sane clear thoughts. Not like a gutter clogged up with leaves, not at all. *closes her eyes and scowls* That food better finish cooking fast. I’m hungry, but it’s fast turning to nausea.
Jenna: *deeply frowns at Seph* Right… Just, try to keep your mind as clear as you can, Seph… *she shakes her head. She then moves up behind Seph and sets her hands on Seph’s stomach by first embracing her from behind. She then begins to softly whisper. Soon enough, she’d cast a spell to help alleviate the nausea for a few hours*
Sephiroth: *leans back in the chair, relaxing as Jenna casts the the spell. She seems much more comfortable after it is over, then nods her head* Thank you. *mutters* I think I would like you to get the food from the human cities in future, if it’s easy for you, and so I don’t have to cook. Can you remember all the good ones we’ve been to? Are they still there, or have they expired from lack of business yet? Food expires too, you know… I don’t want that kind.
Jenna: *frowns at Seph. She then leans in to whisper in her ear* You’re rambling. You do realize that, right? *straightens up and looks over Sephiroth, muttering* It isn’t like you to ramble at all..
