Jenna: *chuckles at Seph and shakes her head* They tend to assume that humans prefer to get married if they become intimate, Seph. *coughs once more then shakes her head* It’s nothing for you to worry about. Just correct them if it really bothers you. *yawns* It won’t hurt my feelings.
Sephiroth: I won’t if it makes them complain like Aeris did when she found out we were having sex. *snorts* I don’t want a lecture on morals that I don’t own. *growls* You’re doing alright though, aren’t you? *frowns at her* How long will that coughing continue?
Jenna: *grumbles* I’m not the doctor, Seph… Why are you asking me such questions? *slowly shakes her head at him. She then tries to make herself comfortable again* Did they do anything else other than assume that we were married?
Sephiroth: Oh.. *tries to hand her the test result papers the nurse left with him* They ran tests on you. Most of them seemed fine. Then the nurse commented that there was something strange about your blood and that a doctor was running tests. No results have come back yet.
Jenna: *glances at the results then shrugs* Do you think I should worry about the fact that there are unidentified elements in this report? It could just be because I’m not a human from this planet… *yawns, still tired*
Sephiroth: *mumbles* Go back to sleep. Nothing else is happening around here. With the snake gone, you can get some good rest without threat of anything attacking. *grins and tries to get comfy in his chair once again*
Jenna: *frowns at Seph and shakes her head* How can you possibly be comfortable like that, Seph? You’re not exactly a small male, and that chair isn’t exactly all that large. *reaches out to rub the side of Seph’s face once more*
Sephiroth: *shrugs* I’m tired, it’s quiet and we’re out of the way of danger. *moves his head down, resting it on the edge of the bed so that Jenna can get better access to him* Is that better? I would certainly say so…
Jenna: *grins at Sephiroth then slowly nods* I still can’t imagine that chair to be all that comfortable, especially for a big strong man such as yourself. *smirks at him then begins to gently massage the top of his head. Soon enough, she yawns then begins to drift to sleep once more* Wake me if they say anything else of worth, Seph.
Sephiroth: *slowly nods his head, then rests it back down on the edge of the bed* Will do… I can’t see anyone annoying you any more though… *yawns and resumes trying to drife off to sleep. He just lies there, soon drifting into a light state of sleep, though still attentive to the noises in the room should he be needed*
Jenna: *falls asleep soon after as well. Once asleep, she remains that way for the majority of the day. She’d only wake up for short bits after coughing fits or to take more medicine as ordered. By the next day, though, another nurse comes in and begins consulting Jenna and Sephy over procedures that should be done to insure the health of the fetus, including sonograms.*
Sephiroth: *remains in the room for the rest of the day, waking up when Jenna coughs, but because it is nothing dangerous or harmful, he soon goes back to sleep. He remains there overnight, snoozing back in the chair. When the nurse comes into the room he softly groans as he is woken up, frowning at the nurse’s advice* Isn’t the fetus fine though…? *yawns* If it’s fine, don’t bother with more silly tests…
Nurse: Well, from what we can tell so far, yes, it can be fine, sir. However, with these tests, we can identify any defects and abnormalities now. It is for the best interests of the child and your wife, sir.
Jenna: *softly groans then grumbles* I just want to sleep more… *shakes her head and tries to drift back to sleep. She is completely disinterested in the topic*
Sephiroth: *sits up* Fine, just give us the papers and I’ll read through it. Instructions, whatever. If it helps, and it makes you leave us be so we can get more rest, even better. *grunts* I’ll happily take whatever documentation needed. I can explain it to her.
Nurse: Very well, sir. *flips through a few pages on her clipboard. She soon hands Sephiroth the documents on the various tests that are suggested for pregnant women. The papers include full documentation of the risks that the various tests help avoid* I’ll be back later. *she walks out of the room to check up on other patients*
Sephiroth: *takes the documentation and begins to read through it. He seems a little amused at the requirements and proceedures of such a test, then nudges Jenna* Do you want to sleep more, or hear about this test that they want to perform on you…? *yawns, still rather tired after his ordeal yesterday*
Jenna: *cracks open her eyes and looks over at Seph. She then yawns as well then shrugs* I’m awake now… You might as well take advantage of it. *stifles another cough*
Sephiroth: They want to examine the growing fetus via ultrasound wave technology. Fairly standard and harmless test. You get to see the baby via the generated image on the screen. *yawns, then tries to hand her the papers* The only downside is that you have to drink a lot of water beforehand, apparently. Do you want to read through it? I think you should ultimately decide whether you want to do the test or not.
Jenna: *shrugs with indifference, not even bothering to take the papers* I’ll leave such up to you, Seph.. If you think that it’s a pointless procedure since you are a psychic, then don’t do it. *tries to make herself comfortable on the cot once more* If you want to see the fetus, then I’ll do it.
Sephiroth: *frowns at Jenna’s indifference, then folds up the papers again, leaning back in the chair in an attempt to get comfortable again* I suggest going through with it… *frowns and gets to his feet again, stretching* I should probably buy myself a room at the Inn while I am here and waiting for you to recover.
Jenna: *Deeply frowns at Seph’s words and looks up at him, she then softly speaks* I’d rather not be here alone… I prefer your company. Maybe you can ask them to let me leave? Not that they’d be able to stop you if you were just to take me and leave.
*Another nurse and doctor stop outside the doorway to Jenna’s room. They seem to be debating the more detailed results of Jenna’s blood tests*
Sephiroth: *frowns* Well… is there anything else you need? I personally don’t want to put you in the way of harm again, but I cannot deny that I am very tired and need somewhere to rest properly. *glances up at the doorway, having sensed the prescence outside* Come in.
*The nurse walks into the room, carrying both papers and new blood collection equipment* Hello there. The doctor was worried about the blood sample we collected earlier… and if it’s alright with you, we’d like to collect another one. The results from the first one are complete, but the sample seems have come back identified as ‘dragon blood’…
Jenna: *blinks and stares at the nurse. She then snorts and crosses her arms, not in the least bit amused. However, for now, she chooses not to say anything to the nurse, especially not about Seph’s previous accusations concerning her genetics. Instead, she just mutters* I want to leave…
Sephiroth: *grunts, nodding his head, echoing Jenna’s sentiment. He glances over at the nurse and scowls at her* Indeed. When can she go home? Neither of us are going to get a decent night’s sleep if we remain here. No offense to you facilities, but… *shrugs*
Nurse: We need to conduct another test. We’d also like to keep Jenna here for a few more days if that’s alright with you. *moves to Jenna’s side, then grasps her arm, trying to slip a torniquet onto it* Stay still, madam. This won’t take long.
