GLaDOS: Test will be chosen by who runs this facility. I will gather data. Science will be done.
Jenna: *glances over at the runes once more and scowls at them. She then glances at Seph and softly speaks* Thank you for the effort, Seph. *quickly turns her head away, still irritated*
Sephiroth: Useless comment. It did nothing at all. *growls and elbows the wall* We’re still damn stuck here. We’ll probably be stuck here forever. *snorts and glares at the floor, irritated, bored, and downright fed up of the situation*
Hojo: You’re not touching my specimens. I don’t care what else you do.
Jenna: *grumbles to herself, not really forming words though. She then moves over to Seph’s side and reaches over to rub his back. Still, she doesn’t bother to look at him*
GLaDOS: Very well. Data will be gathered whether tests are performed by me or by . Then there will be cake.
Hojo: No, there will not be any cake. Let those stupid specimens starve for all the pain they have caused me, for all I care. *growls* I’m behind schedule again… and it’s all thanks to them. *mutters as he leans back into the chair and jabs a needle into his arm, drawing blood from it* I don’t think I’m ever going to get anywhere….
Sephiroth: *leans forwards enough so Jenna can pat his back, but says nothing*
*a very loud engine roar echoes throughout the town and the mountains as the Highwind engines begin to churn, roaring into life. Cid’s voice can be heard somewhere in the engine bay cheering, also accompanied by much swearing and cussing about how long the repair work took*
Cid: *climbs the ladder to the engine room once again* F*ck it all, how long did that take!? *loudly laughs and slaps Cloud on the back* We’re finally going to f*ckin’ GO somewhere now, that’s the main thing! Okay Spikehead, you’re the brains in this outfit, where the hell are we goin’?
Cloud: I don’t really know… *glances over at Aeris and Yuffie for advice*
Jenna: *grumbles* We don’t want any fucking cake anyway. *snorts and glances over at Seph* At least he’s going to leave us alone for a long time… *frowns then pulls her hand away from his back, still angry at his accusations. She then moves toward the back corner of the cage and sits down*
GLaDOS: But Cake is needed for a reward. Positive reinforcement is one of the key parts of my programming. As well as enhancing the truth.
Vincent: *thumps down on the deck of the Highwind just before the engines rev up. He then grunts as he hears the engines start and shakes his head. Silently moving, he heads into the bridge. He looks over at Aeris, but doesn’t seem overly affected that she’s back* I see I came just in time…
Yuffie: *was sleeping in her bed when the engines revved up. She releases a loud squeak as the engines startle her. She then groans and tries to burry her head in her pillow* Aww.. man..
Aeris: *loudly yelps in surprise* Where did you come from, Vincent!? *looks upwards, then all around her* Scary… *sighs* I don’t know how much you know about the situation, but we can fill you in – there’s a giant alien like Jenova around, and it’s motives aren’t good… it beat me up asking over and over about ‘the girl’, who I can only assume is Jenna, the lady Sephiroth hangs around with now. *sighs* We need to work out what to do now.
Sephiroth: Indeed. He’ll be occupied for a while… *looks up, scowling at Hojo* Don’t you ever take on any new experiments, old man? You keep doing the same ones over and over. It’s getting boring and very predictable of you. *lowers his head again, ignoring the sharp hunger pangs he has now*
Hojo: Well if I could actually FINISH one of these experiments without somebody breaking it, I’d be able to complete them and move on! *yells* But brats like you keep holding me back!!
Jenna: *grumbles* A brat is a spoiled little kid. We are not little kids. Also, neither of us were ever spoiled. *Snorts then sighs as she looks over at Seph. She deeply frowns, debating whether or not to comfort him. Eventually, she gets to her feet and then hugs him from behind. Meanwhile, she wraps her wings about his body as well* You should have just eaten before, Seph.. Whether it was palatable or not..
Vincent: *Curtly nods at Aeris* I see.. *turns his attention to Cloud* Hojo is alive and was searching for something in Midgar. There seems to be quite a lot of activity around the #5 reactor.
Sephiroth: *looks back at her and sighs* I apologize for my outburst… *lowers his head further, speaking quietly in an attempt to make sure Hojo won’t hear* I’ve done things I wasn’t aware of before, and I know what it is like to be berated for something you cannot control, or are not aware of….
Cloud: Hojo… *blinks* That slimy creep is alive? No matter what he’s doing, no doubt, he’s up to no good. I think we should check it out. Any objections?
Aeris: *shakes her head*
Jenna: *Frowns at Seph* But I didn’t speak at all, Seph.. *sighs, figuring this is the best apology that she’ll receive. So, she shrugs then leans her head against his back* You’re forgiven, Seph.. I suppose.
Vincent: *nods* It was most certainly him. However, I do not think he is alone. The amount of activity in that reactor was more than what Hojo alone can produce.
Cloud: He’s not alone? But… who else would be with Hojo? Unless it’s Sephiroth. *pauses, thinking* Yeah… I wouldn’t put it past that bastard to work with Hojo to make another crazy monster to attack us all. *glares* We should definitely go after them.
Aeris: No. *sighs* Cloud… Sephy isn’t with Hojo. He isn’t anywhere! I spent the last day searching for his life energy and praying to the planet, asking for his whereabouts. The planet didn’t know and said he isn’t here any more. He’s used a portal and left…
Vincent: *nods* I didn’t move inside the reactor to see what exactly was happening. However, I did hear at least two females voices talking. They seemed to be sisters by the way one who kept on saying “Virgo” spoke of the other. There was also something quite large. I could hear heavy footsteps. As for Sephiroth.. He could be there. But I saw no signs of him.
Sephiroth: You suppose? *shrugs* Good enough… *turns his attention around the cage, wondering if there is even anything slightly palatable to eat*
Aeris: Vincent… you wouldn’t see any signs of him. Sephy isn’t on the planet. I already told Cloud that. I would have been told where he was by now if he was still here. But sure… if Hojo is doing something, we should be looking at it. He never does anything good.
Cid: So you idiots are actually decided on something now? *moves out of the area, heading for the plane controls, yelling* Hold onto the rails, we’re launching in five!
Jenna: *slowly nods* However, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered any of these events where you say you’ve done things without being aware of them. *Shrugs to herself then pulls her wings away from him. She folds them up against her back. However, she continues to hug him from behind*
Vincent: *nods and then moves to stand near the back of the bridge. He crosses his arms and just prepares himself to be bounced around a bit as the Highwind takes off*
Sephiroth: I’ve done a lot of things without being aware of it… *frowns* Any Jenova manipulation, for example. *sighs quietly and leans back into her, troubled with the entire situation*
Cid: *casually guides the Highwind into the skies, then turns the wheel, aiming the plane directly at the Main Continent and Midgar once they are high enough* Here we go! Hold on tight and watch for the corners, kiddies!
Aeris: *loudly yelps at the forces on the deck caused by the plane movement and holds onto the railing*
Jenna: *releases a faint hissing noise then she nudges the back of Seph’s boot with her right foot* You know, you’re not exactly a light male. *smirks. She then removes her arms from his person and slowly moves about to stand in front of him* At least you’re not yelling at me anymore, nor throwing chains at me for no good reason.. *shakes her head. She then reaches her hand up to affectionately rub the side of his face*
Vincent: *shuffles about a small bit. However, he manages to remain standing for the most part. He glances over at Aeris, noticing the way that she’s fumbling for her balance. He then shakes his head as he moves over to her side. He sets his hands on her shoulders and tries to help her remain stabilized. Still, he does his best not to get overly close to her, not wanting her to get the wrong idea*
Sephiroth: *remains quiet as Jenna moves, closing his eyes as she pats his face. He quietly purrs, contented with her close proximity and gentle touch* I’d rather not talk about that any more… I’d rather focus on getting out of here and finally eating a decent meal.
Aeris: *grins up at Vincent as she holds him steady, then shakes her head* You don’t need to do that. I can fly afterall.
Jenna: *nods at Sephiroth* Very well, Seph. Consider the subject completely dropped. *Sighs and looks over at the runes that Seph had been attacking earlier* ~I think the Snake must have burnt that symbol all the way through the metal. You dented it quite well, but it’s still active.~ *slowly shakes her head*
Vincent: Perhaps. *looks away from her then removes his hand as soon as the Highwind is done taking off*
Sephiroth: *scowls* We’re well and truly stuck here, then… *lowers his head, sighing, irriated with the situation. He has nothing to do right now, so he just continues to sit there, bored*
Aeris: *grins and bows her head at Vincent* Thank you. *walks away from him, heading for the control area of the ship* How long will it take to get to Midgar, Cid?
Cid: *stubs out his cigarette* We get there when we get there, lady! Hold your horses! *growls and sharply veers the plane to the left in his anger* Now shut up an’ hold on tight!
Jenna: *slowly nods at Seph’s words. She then moves to sit down in his lap once more. She gently brushes her left hand through his hair as she leans in to kiss him* ~At the very least, I can try to make it not as horrible for you, Seph.~ *spreads her wings, trying to block Hojo from Seph’s field of vision*
Vincent: *grunts as the sharp turn makes him stumble a small bit. He then shakes his head and frowns at Cid*
Sephiroth: *”There’s so much to think about right now, though… what’s going to happen to us now?”* *looks up at her wings, then moves to lean against her, sighing* *”Just when you think you’re ahead, you get knocked back into the far behind again.”*
Cid: *just hums to himself as he flies the plane, taking another cigarette out to light and smoke. Once the plane approaches the town, he slowly lands it, docking it down on the grass outside of the city* Okay, we’re here, go fuck off and explore.
Jenna: *slowly shakes her head at Seph’s words. She then leans her forehead against his before whispering to him* It’s not like the Great Sephiroth to be so negative and beaten. We didn’t escape today, but we’re bound to find a way eventually, right?
Yuffie: *shuffles into the bridge, holding her stomach. She scowls up at Cid then yells out* Could you have been rougher? I think there’s still something left in my stomach!
Sephiroth: *hisses* Unlikely with the amount of setbacks in here… *snarls in frustration* You obviously can’t do anything. I’ve tried. Nothing has worked…
Cid: Really? Guess I needed to steer faster then, huh? Get your butt out there and start looking for Hojo.
Cloud: *jumps off the bridge and heads into the town once he has landed on the ground*
Jenna: *slowly shakes her head at Sephers. She then moves in to gently kiss the bridge of his nose* You did some damage to that wall. That’s something… We just need to keep on trying.. That’s all. We’ll get out of here, eventually.
Yuffie: Hojo?? I thought we were going after Sephy-butt and that new alien? And isn’t Hojo dead? *huffs as Cloud simply exits the Highwind* Hey, don’t leave without telling me what’s going on! *huffs once more then moves to jump off the ship as well*
Vincent: *Shrugs at the scene. He then calmly walks out of the bridge. Soon enough, he jumps onto the ground as well*
Cloud: *hears Yuffie’s complaining and stops, waiting for her* We’re going after Hojo first. Vincent saw him and thinks there’s something going on. We’re going to check it out, and Sector 5 in general. Stay on your guard, there could be anything in there. Jenova, Sephiroth, Hojo could be cooking up something huge. You just don’t know… *takes out his sword and continues moving into the city*
Sephiroth: *makes a loud frustrated snort and shakes his head in disagreement*
Jenna: *deeply sighs at him* Remind me how exactly you successfully implemented the concept of encouragement and some belief in victory with your men in SOLDIER? At the moment, you are being anything but encouraging at all, Seph.. *sighs*
Yuffie: Great… What’s next? Is Ultima Weapon going to return and try to blow us up? Why can’t the dead dudes just stay dead??
