Jenna: ~I don’t know.. there was definitely something on that screen.. I just couldn’t see clearly enough to tell what it was saying.~ *shakes her head then glares at Hojo again* Well? Are you going to give Seph food that he’d eat? Or, do I need to show you how much damage these claws can do? *scrapes two clawed fingers together, trying to emphasize how sharp they are*
Sephiroth: *”He’s probably wrong. You said you were barren anyway.”* *shrugs his shoulders* *”I don’t want any food that he thinks is ideal to serve me.”* *scowls and folds his arms, not at all liking the idea*
Hojo: What did I tell you before, blasted female? *glares back at her* You’ll get food when dinner time comes. Do I look like I have any food here now? *picks up a beaker containing another dead alien embryo* You could always eat this. *places it in the cage bars, then heads for the exit, looking outside again* It’s dark enough now. I am leaving for a short period of time. If you do anything, you will be severely punished. *heads to exit the lab*
Jenna: *Snorts* Well, he certainly didn’t care much for reacting to my threats that time. Perhaps he is indeed deluded. *glances at the dead embryo then snorts and shakes her head* Disgusting.. *turns her attention to Sephiroth* Do you still want to try to break out of here?
Sephiroth: I’ll see what I can manage. *moves to his feet after Hojo leaves, then begins to shake the cage bars. He moves a hand onto the lock, then begins trying to tear it off, yanking hard, snarling angrily* Where did he leave that rod.. *snarls*
*an synthesized feminine voice speaks out not long after Sephiroth begins trying to break out of the cage* For your safety, please refrain from your current activities. For your safety, and the safety of others, please remain stationary until the tests can start proper.
Jenna: *narrows her eyes as she hears the voice then snorts* This place certainly is detestable.. *Glances at Seph* What rod?
Sephiroth: The rod he’s been whacking the bars with. *glances upwards, then narrows his eyes* Shut up!! *gives the lock a hard yank, then rotates the chain link so the lock is inside the cage. Then he props himself up on the bars to yank on the chain with his entire bodyweight and strength*
GLaDOS: What are you doing? Stop that. That is not approved behavior.
Jenna: I must wonder where the hell that voice was before.. *snorts and shakes her head* I think the idiot took the bar with him. I certainly didn’t see him drop it.
GLaDOS: For your safety, you must cease your activities. If you continue with this unauthorized activity, an weighted companion cube will be deployed in five.. four.. three.. two… one.. *a slot opens up in the ceiling in the area just outside of the cage. Then, a large cube drops down right before the door to the cage*
Sephiroth: *stares down at the cube, then stops pulling at the chain to look at it properly. When he finds nothing interesting about it, he loudly snorts and resumes pulling on the chain, snarling as he stretches one of the links* What is that supposed to do!?
Jenna: *Shakes her head and then moves beside Seph* My guess is that it was supposed to block our escape path. *shrugs* Is there anything I can do to help you out, Seph? Aside from find this bar that I have no idea where it is.
GLaDOS: I do not think you know what you think you are doing. Stop that. All test subjects must remain in their resting area until needed. If you stop now, cake will be served. It is good cake. You will like it. It is very moist.
Sephiroth: *snorts* Just… pull on the chain… *snarls and positions his feet up on the bars, resuming pulling on the chain in order to break it. He loudly snarls as it finally snaps, causing him to crash onto the ground, the door quietly swinging open afterwards* I don’t want any cake… *snarls and gets to his feet again* Run.
Jenna: *Glances around, weary of where Sesshou might be at the moment, especially since she can’t sense the energy creature’s location with her magic blocked. She then nods at Seph and moves closer to him* Lead the way, Seph.
GLaDOS: Stop that at once. Please assume the submission position. You will be escorted back to your holding area. Then, cake will be served.
Sephiroth: *grabs onto Jenna’s arm and runs for the lab exit, yelling at the AI overhead* I don’t want any damn cake! *snarls and pulls Jenna outside with him, navigating through the rubble, shoving his way towards the outside* Once we get out of the range of the psionic-energy muter… I’ll fly us far away from here…
Jenna: *sways a small bit, but she mostly is able to keep up with Seph as well as stay on her feet* Well, that thing is definitely not made by your father..
GLaDOS: Wait, come back! Very well then, I am sorry but you are forcing me to do this. *there is a beeping sound. Soon after the beep sounds, a portal-like hole opens up under Sephy and Jenna’s feet. The other side of the portal would open up on the ceiling of the cage*
Sephiroth: *runs into the portal, loudly hissing as he crashes back down onto the floor inside of the cage. Damn it!! *remains on the floor so he would be able to break the impact for Jenna if she were to land on him* How long are we going to be stuck here?!
Jenna: *was right behind Sephers. So, she falls into the portal as well before even realizing that it was there. She yelps as she lands ontop of Seph then groans* You definitely don’t make a good landing pad… *rolls off Seph. However, she remains on the floor, trying to recover from the stinging impact that she had*
GLaDOS: Hello. Please, remain in your resisting facility. Thank you. *drops a few more containers in front of the opening to the cage, trying to block the exit*
Sephiroth: *snarls and kicks at the containers, angry* I don’t want to be kept here! Damn you, stupid computer! *growls and glances over at Jenna* Are you alright? *frowns* I don’t want you to hit your head again…
Jenna: *grumbles* I’m fine, Seph. It just wasn’t the most pleasant of experiences. *shakes her head* Not that I don’t like being on top of you on normal occasions of my choosing. *pushes herself up to a seated position then rubs the back of her head* I’m pretty certain that I didn’t hit it this time. Not that it doesn’t still hurt… *sighs*
Sephiroth: *kicks the cubes out of the way, then tries to exit the cage again. He glares at the embryo containers across the other side of the room and picks up a piece of destroyed chain to hurl at them and knock them over* We’re not going to get out of here… *loudly snarls* We’re simply not going to get out of here, ever!!
Jenna: *glances up at the runes that have formed the spell that is holding her magic out of range* Well.. there is a way.. But it depends on how deeply those symbols are burned into the metal. *sighs and glances over at Seph* And you are being overly pessimistic.
Sephiroth: *moves to sit down on the floor, loudly hissing* How…? Perhaps scratch them off? *glares at the doorway, then back at her* Scratching over the runes is about the only thing I can think of…
Jenna: *Sighs* That would hardly do at all.. if you could distort the metal.. maybe then something might happen. *shakes her head* We’re probably going to be here for a long time..
Sephiroth: *glances at the metal, seeming to be calming down now. He picks up a piece of broken chain and begins to scratch at the metal, trying to etch his own scribble into it*
GLaDOS: Please, do not destroy valuable laboratory equipment.
Jenna: *snorts* Well, someone definitely does not like what you’re doing Seph. *watches him as he scratches into the metal. She then sighs and shakes her head* No good yet.. *glances back to the doorway* I wonder how long until your idiot of a father returns.
Sephiroth: It doesn’t matter… when he returns, we’re all in a heap of trouble… *hisses, but continues to quickly scratch into the metal, trying to be as quick as he possibly can* Keep a watch out… if you can see yet…
