Sephiroth: *hears the loud thump and the crying and quickly moves out of the spring, still dripping wet, assuming Desiree has been dropped on the floor. He stands in the doorway to survey the scene, relaxing when he discovers Jenna has only fallen out of bed* Hmm… after that, you should get some sleep. A decent amount of it.
Jenna: *grumbles* If someone hadn’t been snoring throughout most of the night… *Shakes her head. She then looks over at Sephiroth* Perhaps you should try the formula instead… *rubs her temples, not happy at the headache that she has thanks to her lack of sleep*
Sephiroth: I will when I’m dried off and wearing something. *frowns in thought* Pick her up and set her on your chest. At the very least she’ll stop crying because she hears your heartbeat and she likes your familiar smell. *heads back into the spring, grabbing a towel to dry himself off with. He screws up his face and begins to cough again, spending another few moments clearing his throat and dealing with that before coming out of the spring area again to get changed into some clothes*
Jenna: *grumbles* Perhaps I would try that if I could see straight.. . *shakes her head. She then moves to lie down on her back. She frowns and waits for her vision to clear. However, it remains quite blurry since she is exhausted* Damn.
Sephiroth: *steps out of the walk-in closet wearing a simple button-up shirt and some dress-pants* Hmph. Just go back to sleep. I’ll take care of this. *moves over to the crib and plucks Desiree up, trying to calm her down by patting her back. He then carries her with him up the stairs and begins preparing baby formula, glaring at the bottle and the tin of powder used to make it* This stuff smells like rubbish. *does his best to prepare the formula with one free hand, the other holding onto Desiree securely*
Desiree: *looks up at Sephiroth with curiosity as he makes the formula. For now, she’s stopped crying and is glad to be held. Still, she’d smell quite wickedly since her diaper is soiled*
Jenna: Don’t need to tell me that twice. *yawns then closes her eyes. Soon enough, she’d be fast asleep once more*
Sephiroth: *keeps Desiree held firmly with one arm as he finishes making the formula. He precariously screws the cap on securely, then shakes the bottle up to evenly and properly distribute the powder through the water. He then sits down at the table with Desiree, offering her the bottle* Here, drink this. *winces at the smell, but tolerates it for now* I am going to be pleased when you are bigger… hrmph.
Desiree: *Whimpers then cries, not happy with the food that’s being offered to her. She doesn’t bother even trying to take it. She’d also send out a psychic impression that the food is cold and she wants the warm milk that she’s used to*
Sephiroth: *tries to offer the bottle to her again, sighing as Desiree doesn’t take to it. He then gets to his feet again and places the bottle into the microwave for 30 seconds on high, shaking it up again once it’s done* This better work. Though I don’t blame you for not wanting to take that powdered fake garbage. Your mother’s breasts are much more preferable. *smirks at his statement and tries to offer the heated bottle to Desiree*
Desiree: *seems more interested this time, now that the milk is somewhat warm. She then opens her mouth and begins to slowly suck on the formula. Soon enough, she tries to grip onto the bottle as if she would Jenna’s tit, and continues to suck*
Sephiroth: *holds the bottle in place for her while she suckles on it, then rises to his feet again, carrying her back down the stairs, back into Jenna’s private quarters. He uses his psychokinetic abilities to gather up the needed supplies to change Desiree’s diaper, then walks into the library, sitting down with her in his chair* There we are. I am afraid that your mother needs to sleep today. *turns his head away to cough, frowning*
Desiree: *attentively looks at Sephiroth as them move into the library. She then tilts her head as he coughs. Soon enough, she tries to imitate the sound, finding it funny*
Sephiroth: *frowns down at Desiree* Don’t cough while you’re trying to drink. Otherwise you will end up making the sound for real. *just continues to hold her there while she feeds, glaring at the contents of the bottle*
Desiree: *soon drains the bottle completely dry. She then pulls away her head then reaches up to grip onto Seph’s hair*
Sephiroth: *frowns at Desiree* You can’t play around yet. You still smell like train station bathroom. *sets her down on the ground, then pries off the lower half of her clothes so he can change her. He picks up the empty bottle and hands it to her in attempt to distract her*
Desiree: *wiggles about as Sephiroth places her down onto the ground. Since the bottle is empty, she is less than interested in it. Instead, she continues to reach out for Sephiroth’s hair. Whimpering as she grasps for it, though she can’t quite reach the strands*
Sephiroth: Be quiet for a moment please. *frowns and continues to clean Desiree off, narrowing hsi eyes at the mess he has to deal with. Once Desiree is clean, he places a new diaper on her and discards the used stuff* Hrmph… *places her pants back on and picks her up again* Resume trying to pull on my hair for whatever reason you’ve chosen to do that.
Desiree: *Giggles with glee. She then grips onto Seph’s bangs before bringing the strands of hair into her mouth. She seems completely unconcerned that she had made Sephiroth suffer through changing her diaper yet again*
Sephiroth: *sits down with her in his library chair, letting her do as she likes for now. He pulls the hair away a bit when he fears she is going to try eating the hair, or choke on it* Be sensible, now. *screws up his face, then turns his head away to cough again*
Desiree: *blinks as she hears him cough again. She then sends him an inquisitive telepathic signal. Soon after, she mimics the coughing sound once more*
Sephiroth: *frowns at her, then tries to telepathically express the mechanism of coughing, also indicating to her that it’s not play and that it’s hurting him to do it*
Sephiroth: *sighs and moves an arm around her, leaning back in the chair as much as he can* It’s fine. I’ve been through worse. You should concentrate on getting more sleep, or… whatever it is you do. *lightly pokes her little nose* Then again, you really don’t do much, do you?
Desiree: *wrinkles her nose as Sephiroth pokes her nose. She then reaches out and tries to grip onto his finger. If she gets a hold of it, she’d put it straight into her mouth*
