Aeris: *”What do you mean, my people suck…?”*
Kalysto: They want to kill me? *blinks, though he doesn’t seem terribly worried* Well, that’s not the first time that’s happened… *shrugs* Whatever. *moves forward with his containers and begins to fill them up with the planet’s lifestream, gently corking the bottles once he is done* Alright – let’s get out of here. There might be a way to synthesize this.
Desiree: ~I mean that they suck! Horribly! First, they wouldn’t talk to me when I was trying to ask them something. Then, when I told them that if they wouldn’t even talk to me, I’ll take a small bit of Mako anyway to help my friend with his affliction, they said that I should kill him!! That is completely uncalled for and unfair. He doesn’t deserve death just because he has a condition! So, your people suck!~ *she looks at Kalysto as he gathers the bottles. She then nods* Yea, let’s get out of here. *she glares at the lifestream one last time. She then moves to follow after Kalysto*
Aeris: *”Wait, slow down a bit…”* *sighs* *”The planet wanted to kill him because he’s unwell? That doesn’t sound right…”* *pauses* *”You shouldn’t threaten the planet just because it doesn’t speak to you, Desiree. That’s no way to negotiate anything… Don’t you think your threat was uncalled for? The planet doesn’t normally speak. We shouldn’t demand it speak either. Usually we just listen.”*
Kalysto: *once he had his bottles, he begins to walk away* I have all that I need. Leave it to Rorsch’monde now. He’ll have some fun ruining whatever happens to be down there. Even if I break our soul link, he’ll be angry enough to cause destruction.
Desiree: ~I didn’t threaten it with shit. I said that if it wasn’t going to talk to me, then I was going to do what I was going to do anyway. Then, it started acting like an idiot! It crusted over and then told me that it wouldn’t let me help my friend at all. It said that he should die because he is addicted to magic.. Whatever that means.~ *she looks up as Kalysto begins to walk away. She then jogs after him and nods* Yea, let’s leave it to your big, scary demon.
Rorsch’monde: *begins smashing up anything it can inside of the Lifestream. Meanwhile, the energies around it begin trying to attack it and disintergrate it*
Aeris: *”Well, I’ll talk to it… but you shouldn’t be taking from the planet. Nobody should. It’s already been stolen from enough – by ShinRa, by Jenova. It’s sick. And if you take much more from it, it won’t even be able to sustain itself any more. No wonder it got offended…”*
Desiree: ~It’s only a quart! A single bottle-size amount of Mako. I’m not making a reactor here.~ *she snorts* ~It’s hardly enough to make any form of dent.~ *she continues to follow after Kalysto* So, you’re just going to drink it like you’ve been doing every other time?
Aeris: *”It’s still wrong to take from the planet. You shouldn’t have asked it that… it probably thinks you’re arrogant, bold, or rude now…”* *sighs* *”Let me talk to it. If you need something, talk to me next time. You don’t want to make a mistake.”*
Kalysto: No, not immediately. Well, maybe some… but I’m going to work out how to make it brew itself. It’s already proven it can expand and contract. If it can grow, I can make a sustainable source of the stuff forever. *smirks* And then I will be one step closer to not having to worry about it. After that, all I need to do is plant some tea seeds. And some manathistle seeds. *looks down at the bottle, then wanders away, heading back for his room*
Desiree: *grits her teeth* ~At this point, I don’t care what the planet thinks of me. It is rude, cruel, and idiotic. I was being nice. It wasn’t responding. I told it that if it wouldn’t talk to me, I had no choice but to assume that what I wanted was right. Then it threw a tantrum at me. Hrmph!~ *she then tilts her head as she listens to Kalysto* Mana… thistle seeds? Never heard of them.
Kalysto: Manathistle. It’s a herb. You grow it, and you eat it. It’s a cheap substitute for a hit of energy, but it works. *shrugs his shoulders* Now, let’s get this stuff into my room… *walks up the stairs, heading into his room shortly after. He sets the bottles down on his table, then begins to ponder over them, sitting down in front of them*
Desiree: *mutters to herself* It is rather strange… *she shrugs and continues to follow Kalysto to the room that she had choosen for him. Once inside, she settles down in a chair* Hmm.. *She glances over at him then up at the ceiling* Mother pulls magical energy out of the air itself. Why can’t you just do something like that?
Kalysto: I tried to bottle the energy in the air. I was actually doing that before you came in and interrupted me. *shakes his head* But it takes too long. And it’s tiring. By the time I finish drawing energy from the air, I’ve drained enough of my own that consuming what I collected is only a minor return. *shakes his head* It’s not efficient.
Desiree: Hmm… Strange. Mother never has any problem at all gathering up energy from the stagnant energy all about us… Maybe it has something to do with her wings. They’re always moving back and forth when she has them out, as if they were pulling things in toward her body. It’s kinda strange. *she shrugs then looks at Kalystos’ bottle* So.. you’re going to turn that Mako into.. materia?
Kalysto: No, I’m going to see if I can make it grow. Some types of energy attracts more of itself and it grows. It’s kind of hard to explain, but that’s how it works, simply put. Kind of like magnetized particles and a magnet. Now, if I can use this as the base, I can grow more of my own energy for use…. *eyes the bottle, pondering how to go about it*
Sephiroth: *lands down in Junon and immediately enters the building to begin his search. He wanders through the administration area and begins looking through the company personnel, asking around for the doctor that he has been trying to track down. When his search leads him nowhere, he becomes frustrated and begins to ponder a different approach*
Desiree: Hmm.. that does sound interesting.. I hope it works out for you. *she grins and nods at him. She then stands up* Well… do you have anything else that you needed me for? You know.. I was kinda having fun watching a movie when you came to me..
Kalysto: I do, actually. Two questions. The first – *points to the air around him* How did you do it? The projected display, I mean. I want to watch it for myself some time. It might prove to be interesting, or educational. Second question…. give me your palm? *takes his dagger off his belt*
Desiree: Huh? How do I do it…? *she tilts her head as she watches his hand movements* Oh, the holographic displays. Just talk to Centra. Though.. I hope that would work. She might not acknowledge you as a user… You probably will be fine. She responded to you before. *she shrugs then blinks* Huh? My palm? Umm.. Ok.. *she moves closer to him then holds out her palm*
Kalysto: Centra? Right, I’ll ask it. When I feel like it, later. It might as well be looked into, if I am to stay here awhile. *takes her palm, then tries to drag her over to the table* This is going to hurt, but I don’t know when it doesn’t. But it’s worth it. *attempts to set one of the empty vials underneath her palm once he is successful in dragging her oevr*
Desiree: *glances over at Kalysto’s knife. She then looks over at the vial before looking up into his eyes* Umm… What exactly are you planning on doing here? *she glances back down at his knife. Despite her insecurity concerning the situation, she doesn’t fight against Kalysto*
Kalysto: What am I planning? You will see. *takes note of her expression and flattens his eyebrows, clearly unimpressed* Relax, you’re just going to bleed. *lets go of her hand* Unless you would rather choose another body part? I usually use the palm because there are not many blood vessels there and it is easier to heal from. Especially if one cuts into the fleshy part on the blade of the hand. *raises his hand and pokes at it to demonstrate* It never takes much.
Desiree: *slowly nods as she listens to Kalysto. She then releases a long, drawn-out sigh before looking into his eyes once more* No, go ahead. Cut my palm. I trust you. *she gives him a small smile. However, the fear that she is feeling toward being cut does still show in her expression*
Kalysto: *observes her demeanor right now and relaxes his eyes again, glancing down at her hand, speaking in a calm quiet voice* Relax. I will be gentle. *pokes the tip of the needlepoint sharp dagger into the fleshy part of her hand and flicks it down quickly, making a very shallow surface cut in the flesh, about 3/4 of an inch long* It doesn’t take very much to do. I usually use more than the bare minimum, because I’m ballsy and I’m used to doing it.
Desiree: *crunches her eyes closed and visibly flinches as she’s cut. However, she doesn’t flinch enough to move her hand away from Kalysto or ruin what he’s doing. She then mutters* I don’t normally cut myself at all…. *she then opens her eyes and frowns down at the cut* What is this for..?
Kalysto: What’s this for, why are you doing this, always with the questions. Can’t you just observe and let your observations fulfill your curiousity that way? *sheathes his dagger and begins to squeeze Desiree’s cut, trying to make it bleed more*
Desiree: *clenches her eyes shut again as Kalysto squeezes on her hand. She then sighs and mutters* The only stupid questions are the unasked ones… *she then cracks open her right eye to watch what Kalysto is doing* But, if you’d rather not tell me, ok.
