Desiree: *sighs as she watches Kalysto blow up the tree. She then grumbles* The reason that we use projections is because they generate within seconds. *she points to the trees* Those generate in decades. You run out of one, not the other. Notice the difference? *she shakes her head* Though if you want to pick on some clones… Those can be generated in days..
Jenna: *releases a soft groan. By now, since she’s aggravated her condition, she’s burning up. It is also possible that Sephy will be able to sense the Jenova cells that are attacking her by now*
Kalysto: If it comes back, why waste your efforts in the first place? I don’t need anything for target practise. I’ve been doing this for years, I know what I am doing. You’re the one who needs to learn and practise, not me. Hm?
Sephiroth: *shakes his head* What were you doing outside anyway? *grunts* Foolish.
Desiree: Oh, so you want to be just as you are now for all time and eternity, hm? No advancement at all? Mother and father believe in always improving on what they know. *She crosses her arms then chuckles* If you never practice new stuff, you’ll be left in the dust.
Jenna: *simply groans in response, for she’s not aware at the moment*
Centra: *resopnds in Jenna’s stead* My lady was performing a training exercise. I am obliged to state that her performance was below-par.
Kalysto: Blah blah blah blah, do you want to keep wasting my time or do you want to learn something? *folds his arms* Or do you want to drag me somewhere else and waste more of my time showing me things that aren’t really any of my concern? Because, I have all day. *waves a hand* Go on, waste my time as much as you like.
Sephiroth: I see. *scowls at Centra’s reply* And why was she training?
Centra: That is not in my abilities to analyze. However, if I were to make a conjecture, I would have to say boredom.
Desiree: *glares at Kalysto* My, why the hell do you have to be so very serious. Lighten up. It’s not like we’re at war or something. You don’t need to be so uptight and “waste of time” and all that all the time. *she sighs and then shrugs* Well, show me stuff. *she points to the field* Have at it.
Sephiroth: Boredom? *frowns* Well I don’t really know how to fix that one for her. *sighs* What’s wrong with her now? Is she fatigued, or is there something more? I don’t want to remove her from the base and take her to a physician, but I feel as if I must soon.
Kalysto: You want to see something? Alright, I’ll show you something worth my time. *closes his eyes and raises his hands, beginning a summoning. He remains in that position for nearly half a minute* You’re sure to like this one…
*At the end of the summoning spell, a very large centaur-like demon stomps out of the nether from which it was summoned. It has large flaming wings and it seems incredibly pissed at being dragged from it’s home realm. It flares out its wings and begins to make a thundering loud roar, incinerating the grass in it’s immediate area*
Desiree: *backs up as she watches Kalysto perform the summoning spell. She then blinks as she watches the demon appear. Frowning in thought, she glances at the demon then over at Kalysto* So… all you ever do is summon demons? That sounds repetitive..
Centra: I do not have the necessary scanners available in this room to be able to analyze her bodily functions from her current position. However, my records do show that you have senses that are far beyond that which any other mortal can obtain. In theory, one would assume that you can find the answers to what is wrong with my lady without outside assistance.
Kalysto: What do you want me to do, summon angels? Raise the dead? Or perhaps just maybe you would like me to will cotton-candy shreds to come flying out of my ass? I’m a demonologist, you idiot. What are you expecting?
Sephiroth: Well, I already scanned her, and nothing….
Desiree: I thought you said that you knew spells that inflict damage. *she shrugs* I’m certain I’ve seen you do more than just summon demons over and over again… Though if that’s all you can do.. Yea, you’re not that good of a magic-wielder at all. *she shrugs then begins weaving a spell in an attempt to make the area break out in a light sprinkling of rain*
Centra: I see. My records indicate that there is a low liklihood of there being any trained physicians that understand my lady’s biology.
*The massive centaur demon begins to kick down trees nearby and rips up another, throwing it away. It tramples the ground with it’s massive hooves and beats on it’s chest, declaring it’s dominance over the area*
Kalysto: *flattens his ears* I burned down the tree, didn’t I? Hmph. You’re the one who was whining. If you’re going to destroy something, you will need something big and sturdy to destroy. This Feltaur just happened to be the closest thing to me at the time. Sometimes you just have to take what you can get. But fine – you want to see something? *flicks his wrist, casting a curse of blinding-pain on the centaur demon. It immediately begins to howl in torment and it rushes at him. The elf quickly backs up, throwing more seemingly small insignificant spells on the demon, but they seem to make the demon more upset as the time passes. Within the minute, it begins to vomit blood onto itself, but continues to charge in its rage* Don’t know what you’re expecting to see… but you wouldn’t want to be him right now. *the Blood Elf draws his hands back and begins to cast shadowy bolts and fire at the demon now that he has weakened sufficiently* Weaken your enemy, draw out it’s suffering… *begins to blow it apart, literally* …and enjoy your destruction. *folds his arms and smirks in satisfaction as the demon collapses in front of him, dead*
Desiree: *tilts her head as she watches what Kalysto is doing. She then faintly grins* Ah, so you can do more than just summon demons. That is good. *she moves closer to Kalysto once he’s done with his display. She then glances over at the corpse of the demon and nods* Well, you definitely enjoy destruction.. *She ponders for a moment then mutters* I suppose I can show you one thing that I know how to do, if you’re up for it..
Kalysto: If I’m up for it? Look at me, what do you think I am? *folds his arms and nods* Go ahead. *flicks out his hand and incinerates the demon’s corpse* Oh, nearly forgot… *watches it burn, smirking* I had to clean up after myself, didn’t I?
Desiree: Hmm.. *she nods as he burns the corpse. She then turns around and thinks. Soon enough, she closes her eyes and begins to mutter in an ancient draconic dialect. A few moments after Desiree begins to mutter, a rift begins to open up infront of Kalysto. The blue energy that indicates where the rift is slowly widens as Desiree continues the spell. Soon after the rift opens enough, a force shoves Kalysto into the rift while Desiree just moves through on her own. This rift wound transport the two of them to the astral plane*
Kalysto: *blinks as Desiree opens a portal to the astral plane* Huh, you can do that? *casually steps inside, mostly due to the fact that he is very familiar with the place* Maybe you and I aren’t so different afterall… *frowns, suddenly becoming aware of what Desiree might see of him on the new plane. He quickly backs away and retreats for the darkness*
Desiree: *mutters as she sets foot on the astral plane* Well, I’ve opened up this rift once or twice before.. *she glances over as the rift closes up* I’m pretty certain that I can reopen it from this side as well.. *She then blinks as she notices that Kalysto is retreating. Rolling her eyes, she moves to follow after him* What are you doing now?
Kalysto: *compared to his physical self, his freeform astral self is quite different. He appears to be almost twice his physical size and is nearly black in colouration except for the large fire-coloured membraned wings on his back, and some demonic runes etched across his face and his chest. Three spiked horns grow off his head – two on the sides, and one jutting out from the back of his skull. A large quantity of foreign energy surrounds him, though it is now bound to him and is a part of him. He has a sturdy pair of hooved legs and a long spiked tail which looks like it could be used as a good clubbing mace. While his life energy would still sense the same, it would appear that another creature entirely has melded with him. Once Desiree comes closer, he promptly shields himself with his pair of wings, sinking further into the depths of the astral plane, trying to abuse his color to blend in with the abyss*
Desiree: *blinks as she gets a glimpse of Kalysto. She then rubs her eyes before tilting her head* Huh? How did you transform like that… We didn’t step out of our physical bodies… *shrugging, she moves closer to him* Stop that, I’m not about to attack you. You’re fine. *she looks over him then mutters* I wonder if this is due to what Astaroth did..
Kalysto: *growls* No, Astaroth didn’t do this… *tries to whack her away with his wings, then begins to zip away through the plane at high speed, fleeing from her. The wings flap as the male moves, even though he does not need to use them in the case of gliding through the area* *”Get away from me. Now you know what I am, you’re going to be like all the rest.”*
Desiree: *yelps as she’s whacked away. She then groans and rubs her arms before frowning at his retreat* ~Like the rest? What the fuck is that supposed to mean?~ *she rolls her eyes* ~I told you that you are fine. If you would just stop trying to push me away at every opportunity, you might find that I am trying to be your friend. You look like you could use one.~
Kalysto: *”Don’t bullshit me. Everybody who discovers a Warlock condemns them. We are the masters of the underworld, the hands of the greater ones. But normal people don’t see it that way. They hate us, loathe us, cast us out, accuse us of being evil, and they wish damnation on us. They will say you have sold your soul to the devil, when in fact the opposite is the truth. We are chosen. We do not do it because we want to, but because we’re capable.”* *shakes his head and begins to glide back towards her, flaring out his wings to appear large and intimidating* *”And that is something that you will probably never understand.”*
Desiree: *Groans then thinks for a few moments. She looks about the area, that is still partially in the real world, so she can kinda see the surroundings from Halcyon. She then mutters* Shut up about all of that. I don’t care. What other people do is what they do. *she then begins heading back toward the base, even though she doesn’t return to the real realm* Come on. I think I keep on trying to tell you something, but you haven’t seemed to listen before.. maybe if you see it..
Kalysto: *”Yes. What other people do is what they do. What is, is what must be.”* *makes a low rumble and drifts after her casually* *”I’ve listened to everything you’ve said thus far. What is it you want to show me now?”* *follows her along, curious now*
Desiree: *releases a soft sigh, not wanting to explain what she’s about to show him again. Instead, she just shakes her head and slips into the base. As she moves down what would be the stairs in the real world, Kalysto might notice that there are an increasingly larger number of demons lingering around. The almost look like they’re waiting for something to happen. Desiree then mutters* They love hanging around.. *eventually, she moves into Jenna’s bedroom then points at Jenna, who has Sephiroth near to him. Since Desiree and Kalysto are in the astral plane, they would be able to easily see the souls of those two, and they may be able to see the bond. However, the most ovious bit would be Jenna’s soul, which is merged with a chaos spawn. Her flaming wings would be always out in the astral plane, though they’re usually not visible in the real world. In fact, her soul resembles an angel that is on fire. At the very least, Jenna is unaware of Des and Kalysto as they enter the area via the astral plane for she’s unconcious*
Kalysto: *casually stomps down the stairs after Desiree, whacking out at any lesser demon that he can with his spiked tail, just because he can. When he approaches Jenna, his movement becomes much more slowed and cautious. He stops short of her, and then silently lowers his head and kneels, going quite still*
Desiree: *Crosses her arms* I kept on trying to tell you that she had a major source of power. I noticed it when I was young, but I never understood what it was then. *she shakes her head then nods at all the demons* They’re all waiting for her to initiate the end of everything. *she snorts* Father is loyal to the wrong person..
