Seferia: *doesn’t show any interest at all as Kalysto leaves her be. However, she does release an agitated hiss as the console that she was utilizing suddenly goes dark*
Centra: *monitors Kalysto’s activities as he rummages through the base. Finally, as he approaches Jenna’s largest treasure trove room, she activates a holographic projector so that the form of a red-haired female appears in front of Kalysto* May I be of assistance? You appear to be searching for something.
Kalysto: *stops as the hologram appears before him and quickly raises his hands, attempting to cast a shadow bolt at the woman. When he realizes that it’s just a projection, he stops again and calms somewhat* What the hell? Yeah. I’m searching for something. But unless you can find something that stores souls, I’m not interested. And as if you would tell me that.
Centra: *stares at Kalysto as he attempts to attack “her”. However, she does not voice any objections to his actions. Instead, she simply stands there and waits for him to calm down. Upon hearing his inquiry, her form vanishes only to be replaced with the projection of a number of items* Souls can be contained in a variety of items. The most common choice of containment is a gem of no or little coloration, so that the spell-caster can determine that the soul is properly contained by the change of coloration. However, souls have been documented to be locked into several other containment devices.
Kalysto: Yeah, yeah, this is basic knowledge. I can already make my own soul shards just by casting. Gimmie something real to work with here, woman. I’m after… *motions with his hands, then shrugs and gives up* Something flasky.
Centra: Yes, souls have been documented to have been contained in flasks as well. As already stated, a skilled spell-caster can lock a soul in any object that they find to be of use. Is there a specific spirit that you are attempt to find?
Kalysto: No specific spirit. It’s just that where I came from, I had a basement. Well, it wasn’t just mine, but… *stops, looking awkward* You will never understand. *grunts* I am looking for magical implements and reagents to conduct research and experiments so that I may further progress in my learning.
Centra: *the images that she is displaying shift about again. She then makes part of the map flash with a red coloration* By your words, you want the library. All research on spell-casting techniques have been collected in that room. According to my files, there are over a hundred years worth of reading material in that room.
Kalysto: *steps back to examine the hologram. He takes a small blade out of his pocket and pulls his glove off, very gently carving the path trajectory onto his palm, just enough so it will mark and prick with blood. With that, he nods, and begins moving away* Very good. *waves her off with the other hand*
Centra: Glad to be of assistance. If you find yourself lost once more, speak up. *with those words, her hologram projectors shut off*
Kalysto: *heads into the library and begins to sort his way through the books. He finds a topic he likes, then sits down on the floor with it, pulling off his other glove so he can read and turn the pages properly. He would spend a good long time there, just reading, seeming to lose track of time*
Jenna: *groans as she wakes up at about noon. Shifting about a bit, she sighs as she notices that she still feels warm. So, she reaches over to gently nudge Sephiroth* Mmm… thirsty.. Go get.. *she then buries her head in her pillow, not wanting to really move about*
Desiree: *wanders through the base around the same time that Jenna wakes up. She had recently woken up, but she has had enough time to get into some clean clothes. Eventually, she finds Kalysto down in the library. She then blinks and moves in toward him* I thought that you didn’t want to read these books… You called them stupid when I showed you this room before. *yawning, she moves to sit down next to him* Are you hungry?
Kalysto: *glances up at her, then back down at his book. He raises his hand to show her the map he carved into it, then shrugs* I was told where to go. Now it’s just a matter of sifting through rubbish for the important information. *looks up at her again* Did you say food?
Desiree: Yes, do you want food? You know, that stuff that can be ingested and gives you energy. *She shrugs and stands up* I can show you to the kitchen and you can make whatever you want. If that’s alright with you.
Jenna: *weakly nudges Sephiroth once more* Thirsty…
Sephiroth: *is fast asleep and lying on his stomach, snoring away on his pillow, not hearing her for the time being*
Kalysto: I know what food is! *snaps the book shut, flustered. He shakes his head and sighs* Right… go ahead and lead me there. I might as well find out where to get some food. Though I doubt you have anything I’d want. Humans and their rubbish trash…
Jenna: *cracks her eyes open to look over at Sephiroth. Upon noticing that he’s still deep asleep, she releases another loud groan before reaching over to whack the back of his head* Thirsty.
Desiree: I do not eat rubbish trash. *She snorts at Kalysto’s assessment of her eating habits. Still, she doesn’t delay in leading him to the kitchen. Upon entering the kitchen, she opens up the various cabinets, closets, and refrigerators that are filled with food* We have a variety of choices.
Kalysto: *spends a good few minutes looking around the kitchen area, poking curiously at a lot of the refrigerated food. He places a hand on the wall of the refrigerator, then begins looking at the appliance itself, trying to determine what makes it work exactly. When he doesn’t find out he quickly becomes bored and gives up, then begins to pull various vegetables out of the refrigerator so he can eat them* Some of these I recognise, some I do not. This planet is weird.
Kalysto: *spends a good few minutes looking around the kitchen area, poking curiously at a lot of the refrigerated food. He places a hand on the wall of the refrigerator, then begins looking at the appliance itself, trying to determine what makes it work exactly. Sephiroth: *makes a pathetic groaning noise as he is woken up. He glances at Jenna sleepily, then yawns, unhappy to have been woken up rather abruptly* Mmmm….? *scowls* Mmmmph…. *mumbles* Fine… I need to relieve myself anyway… *fumbles out of the bed, sitting on the edge of it for a few moments, rubbing at his eyes* What do you want? *yawns again, then stretches his arms above his head, feeling around on the floor for a pair of pants*
Desiree: *Stares at Kalysto as he feels about the refrigerator. She then furiously shakes her head* What are you doing? You’re being freaky again. *she chuckles then leans in closer* Have you never seen a refrigerator before? There’s like one in every house, according to my parents. *she then straightens up and blinks* Huh? You don’t recognize some? Well, which ones do you want to know about?
Jenna: *groans, still wanting to bury her face in her pillow* Don’t care… Don’t care at all. So hot in here. Just, need something.
Kalysto: *holds a carrot up, then a zucchini* Well I know what these are so I am going to eat them. As for this thing… *holds up a broccolli sprig and snifs it before putting it back* I can cook. Let me work it out.
Sephiroth: *sighs and nods his head. He wanders into the bathroom, picking up a glass to fill up with cold tap water. He brings it back out to her and offers it to her*
Desiree: Broccolli? Well, I hear that a lot of people don’t like that vegetable, so I guess that makes sense that you’ve never seen it before. *shrugging, she steps away from the stove. She then nods* Go ahead then. It’ll be interesting to see what you come up with. *she looks over him* Well, no wings today.. You must be feeling better.
Jenna: *cracks open her eyes as she notices that Sephiroth is near her. Upon spotting the glass, she slowly pushes herself up before reaching out to take the glass* Thank you.. *with that, she begins to sip on the water*
Kalysto: No wings? *pauses* What? What are you talking about? *shakes his head* Silly human. *begins to carefully cut vegetables and places them into a pot. After that he sifts through the cupboards and takes various spices to add to the pot. Once he is satisfied with the content, he adds a small amount of water and oil and places the pot on low heat* What else do you have? *glances upwards as he thinks* Do you have any of that wheat thing the humans like? They boil it and add sauce. Sometimes it’s good, other times it’s terrible.
Desiree: Wheat? Hmm.. *she thinks for a moment. She then nods and moves over to one of the cabinets near the back of the kitchen. Soon enough, she pulls out a container of fresh wheat and hands it over to him* Here you go. And yes, you had wings yesterday. *she moves up behind him and pokes his shoulders* Right here. They only appeared for a second though. You were also acting all whacked out.
Kalysto: *takes the container of fresh wheat from her and places some into a bowl so he can begin to crush it* I never had wings, don’t be stupid… *tenses* Don’t touch me. I’m perfectly fine. *finds a slab of steak in the refrigerator and eyes it off suspciciously* What died?
Desiree: Yes, you did so have wings yesterday. I know I saw them. *she frowns at him. She then glances at the steak* Huh? That’s just plain old steak. You get it by cutting up a bolvine. A cow. You don’t have cows where you’re from?
