Jenna: *remains in her hybrid form as she moves down the stairs. Soon enough, she reenters the library then moves up to Seph’s side* Impatient, aren’t we? *she smirks at him* Fortunately for us, a creature which has lived for an eternity usually takes an eternity to take action. Especially one that is focussed on the thought of order. *she looks down at Rhyderi* So, do you understand what you have agreed to fight against how?
Rhyderi: *slowly nods his head, before lowering it* I will do what I can… but I fear I will serve little more than a distraction while another does the real damage. *slings his sword over his shoulder, seeming rather calm and resolute* But I am used to that.
Jenna: *nods* Very well… *she glances at Seph* The elf that tampers with dark magics should be coming soon. *she frowns* We need him since he actually seems to be able to sense where the snake is. *She shakes her head* Unless you want me to play the part of bait.
Rhyderi: I still think you should do without him. He’s corrupt as they come and about as heartless, too. He’s not some cute little innocent like you might think he is. Please consider what I say and listen. *slowly shakes his head and sighs* We can do this without him. He’ll turn it into something perverted along the way.
Jenna: *narrows her eyes at Rhyderi* If only you knew our backgrounds… Hrmph. *shaking her head, she snorts in distaste at the paladin’s opinion* I’m certain that he may prove to be useful. So, we might as well take him.
Rhyderi: Perhaps it is a better idea that I do not know them. *glances at Jenna, then back to Sephiroth, and gently shrugs* You may find my baby brother of use, but in the end he serves nobody but himself. If it’s convenient for him to switch, he will.
Jenna: *rolls her eyes. She then wanders over to one of the bookshelves. Soon enough, she pulls out a copy of the King Jame’s Bible from there before she throws it at Rhyderi* Here, read and distract yourself. Maybe that will make the time pass faster for you. *with that, she moves back over to Seph’s side. Then then begins to gently massage the back of Seph’s head*
Rhyderi: *blinks at the book, then catches it and begins to slowly flip through* Weird… for what reason did you give me this text? Am I supposed to study it for it’s culture? Is it even relevant to the fight ahead? *turns it over and raises eyebrows at the cover* Holy Bib-leh? Sounds like hoo-hah to me. I see nothing holy about this.
Jenna: Heh, sounded like something that would keep you silent for a bit, at the very least. *shrugging, she returns to massaging the back of Seph’s head while she watches the doorway*
Rhyderi: *shakes his head* I do not have a short attention span. I’m actually offended by your suggestion. *folds his arms and frowns at Jenna* If you want to keep us together, you should refrain from making comments like that.
Jenna: I said nothing of the sort about attention spans. I said I thought the book would keep you quiet for a bit as in it would help pass the time for you. *she spreads her wings out slightly* After all, we are waiting, and most being don’t like staring at walls whilst waiting. So, I gave you something to keep you entertained.
Rhyderi: This isn’t entertaining at all. *tries to hand the book back to her* It’s a load of rubbish if you want my opinion. At a glance it mentioned some violence, but… *if Jenna doesn’t take the book, he would set it down somewhere nearby*
*there is a loud crashing sound upstairs as Kalysto is deliberately knocking things over at his desk*
Jenna: Heh, preaching to the choir there. Neither of us believe in that pile of slag there. However, the nonsense in it can be rather humorous. Humans have gone to war over that stuff. *she smirks* Though I don’t think I’ve ever heard any of them quoting the songs of Solomon as reasons to do things. *she chuckles. She then frowns as she hears the crashing noises. Sighing, she steps away from Sephiroth before heading up to check up on Kalysto* Boy?
Kalysto: *is crouched over in a rather uncomfortable position, still trying to readjust to the demon’s influence on his soul. His large purple-red wings are flared out and very visible to the eye right now. They are almost tangible in their solidity right now* What do you want…? *flails a hand out at the air in front of him, then loudly hisses and lowers his head, cringing as he moves onto the floor*
Jenna: *pauses as she enters Kalysto’s room. She then sighs as she spots the way that he is positioned and the wings. So, she moves over to him before kneeling down next to him. As she does this, she spreads out her own wings in order to give them some room, however, she keeps them rather close to her body* I heard the noise, so I came to insure that you were fine.
Kalysto: *growls at her* This is why… the stupid idiot tried to do it before when I was on the ground… but you blew him up, didn’t you. *glares down at the floor and moves to sit properly on it, still trying to supress the demon*
Jenna: That demon of yours attacked my daughter. I do defend my own blood. *clicks her clawed toes against the floor as she watches him struggle* Hrmph… *she then slowly moves even closer to him before reaching out to gently set a hand down on his left shoulder as if offering support*
Kalysto: *immediately reacts by trying to smack and buffet her with his nearer wing. But because it is not tangible, it wouldn’t do much. He shuffles away from her shortly after, then forces himself to his feet* Go away. I am fine. *begins to straighten his sleeves*
Jenna: *she rolls her eyes and gets to her feet. She then shakes her head* I’m no idiot, boy. I can tell when someone is struggling to keep their sense of self despite overwhelming odds. *she narrows her eyes* I’ve been through such situations too often.. *she tilts her head as Kalysto begins picking at his clothing. She then grumbles* If not for the fact that you may wind up eventually becoming akin to a son.. *she shakes her head then moves closer to him and hugs him in an attempt to get him to settle down. She also begins to softly sing one of the few elven songs that she’s picked up in her lifetime*
Kalysto: *stares at her initial comment, then goes rather stiff and tense as Jenna hugs him. His ears remain high and alert over his head and he doesn’t move at all, not knowing what to do or make of the situation*
Jenna: *does nothing to indicate that this move is because she feels any sort of attraction to the elf. Instead, she keeps on hugging him in a “motherly” fashion, trying to provide comfort if nothing else. She also continues to softly sing to him. For the most part, she doesn’t mind that he’s stiff and unsure about what she’s doing*
Kalysto: *stares at her initial comment, then goes rather stiff and tense as Jenna hugs him. His ears remain high and alert over his head. He just remains stiff as Jenna hugs him, not really sure what to do under the current circumstances* What dialect is that? It’s neither of the ones I am familiar with.
Jenna: *faintly smirks to herself as she notices how stiff Kalysto is. However, she doesn’t stop in her attempts to province him comfort. As she runs out of song with her first one, she moves to another elven lullaby* ~Hmm? Yes, I’m certain you’ve never heard it. But your language seems close enough to Sindarin. Must be a strange case of parallel evolution among most elves. They usually speak near to the same language, no matter the origin..~
Kalysto: *growls softly at Jenna’s comment, then tries to nudge her away from him* That language certainly is no language of the Sin’dorei. And your comment on elven languages being similar is untrue – Darnassian and Thalassian sound only vaguely alike. If a Kal’dorei speaks, a Sin’dorei will only be able to understand vague words. And in some cases, nothing more than ‘the’, or ‘at’ parts of sentences. What you are saying is completely foreign to me. *glances away from her, flicking his ears back* We need to get moving.
Jenna: *lets go of him, not really fighting against him. She then stops singing before chuckling* Oh, I didn’t say that the languages are exactly the same. However, the sounds and structuring of quite a lot of them, especially elves that look like you, tend to match up. *she leans in closer to him then reaches in to poke at his wings* Are you in the condition to safely move out?
