Sephiroth: Go ahead. If you want to go now, we can do that. Emotions like that, we can do without. *rises to his feet and makes sure Iris is secure before leaving to follow Jenna*
Jenna: Hmph.. We could use all the help we can get though. He might be useful as a distraction, at the very least. *she shakes her head. She then moves up the stairs. Soon enough, she walks into the area where Kalysto, Desiree, and the others live. She then scrunches her nose in distaste* What the fuck is that smell?
Kalysto: What smell? I don’t smell anything. *glances down at Droozun* Do you? *shrugs at Jenna and goes back to the stuff on his desk* I smell nothing. You must be dreaming about it, or you’re making it up.
Jenna: *narrows her eyes at the elf’s response. She then shakes her head and growls with slight irritation* There is definitely a distinct smell to this area. *she snorts* Now, are you and your commerades ready or not?
Kalysto: Who said I have comrades? There’s just me… and me. *flicks his ears back* You have Zulmire who’s busy with Desiree, and he won’t fight because he’s a damn pacifist. Then there’s Rhy.. who um, wouldn’t do it unless he was upholding and protecting the weak.
Jenna: *groans* For some reason, I get the feeling that you are of the very lazy type of character.. *she shakes her head* Show me these two. At the very least, show me the one who would fight.
Kalysto: *scowls at her* I’m not lazy. I’m sour if anything, fucking Seferia… *snorts then shakes his head* Rhy’s around here somewhere. And I just told you where the troll is. *folds his arms* Tell me when you’re ready to get out of here.
Jenna: *pauses and looks back at Kalysto* If you are that sore about it, try to go after her again. I can see that you are missing no body parts. Then, she gave you more respect than what an enemy would garner. *she shrugs then steps out of his room to look around the area. Soon enough, she looks at Sephiroth* Any idea where this “Rhy” person can be?
Sephiroth: *shakes his head* I don’t even know who he is. *scowls* There are so many idiots around here these days. *scans the base* There’s the idiot who hangs around with Desiree nearby. There’s another with a similar energy pattern in another room. It is unfamiliar to me.
Kalysto: Uh huh. No. *watches Jenna leave and punches the desk*
Jenna: *speaks one last time to Kalysto* ~Cowards who do not dare to tread always sink.~ *she tilts her head in thought. She then nods her head* Let’s try the one that isn’t near Desiree for now. Perhaps that one is the “Rhy”… Either that, or the elf is simply referring to a bread.
Kalysto: *”You can’t call it cowardice. You don’t know shit about what happened. I told her – twice. If she’s too fucking stubborn, that’s going to be her own demise, not mine. Don’t tell me how I should or shouldn’t do things.”*
Sephiroth: *sighs* Alright.. *moves up the stairs, heading for the red-blonde elf’s location*
Rhyderi: *is sitting on his bed right now, and using a rag and some oil on his sword to keep it shiney and sharp*
Jenna: *chooses not to continue speaking to Kalysto for the time being. Instead, she simply moves on and follows Sephiroth. Upon reaching Rhyderi’s room, she cocks her eyebrow at the elaborate illusion spell* What the hell?
Rhyderi: *doesn’t look up at Jenna and continues to oil the blade* Things that remind us of home often keep us calm and in good spirits. *raises his ears and sets down the rag* Can I help you?
Jenna: *looks over the armored elf* You are the one who was turned into a child… Is your name “Rhy”? *she glances at the room again* I take it my daughter did this. Her energy signature is all over it.
Rhyderi: Yes, I was the one who was turned into a child. And I do believe it was your daughter who placed the illusion over my room. *finishes cleaning his blade, then sets it at his side* So are we going or not? Kalysto has already informed me of the details. I don’t really understand it but I shall try to assist where I can.
Jenna: *sighs* I cannot say that I want to drag along those who are not fully motivated.. However, if you desire to bring your assistance, whatever that may be… *she looks him over* All I can think is that you may want to try sitting on something to squash it with the weight of your amor.. *she then quickly shakes her head* However, yes, we’ll take you.
Rhyderi: *raises an eyebrow at Jenna, then shakes his head* There’s nothing wrong with my armor. High defense works very well. Especially if you can tolerate the blows that would otherwise kill another. It’s a very valuable thing to have when ensuring the survivability of your team. *slings his shield over his back* The only thing that motivates and drives me is the protection of those who cannot protect themselves.
Jenna: Hrmph… Such armor would be useless to you in the upcoming battle. But we shall see whether your heavy ass can do much of anything of use. *she then sighs and looks at Seph* Can you think of anything else that we’ll need to help us assure success?
Sephiroth: Something that would assure success against the snake? You’ve known her longer than I have. I’d wager any guess of yours would be more accurate than any of mine. *slowly shakes his head* I don’t even know where to begin.
Rhyderi: Against the physical, no. Against the realm of the spirit, only the light can assist me in defeating my foes.
Jenna: *grunts* Perhaps so.. But you are the military genius here. I just know how to kill things. How to kill things quite well, but it doesn’t lead much into strategy. *she then looks back over at Rhyderi before shaking her head* Do you know what you are about to face? Are you even in the slightest bit prepared?
Rhyderi: Can we ever truly be prepared for what lies ahead? *glances at Jenna before heading for the stairs* I go where I must. I will protect those whom are weaker than I, or die in the attempt. In the light I commend my spirit.
Sephiroth: *scowls* *”This guy sounds like a basket-case.”*
Jenna: *groans and covers her face with her left hand, almost as if she were feeling some sort of shame. Soon enough, she glares at Rhyderi* For fuck’s sake, going into a fight like this with all guns blazing and trust in god is not what you want! *she growls then shakes her head* Go down and into the library. I shall acquire the other elf and all of us will try to come up with a strategy then and there. *with that, she walks out of the room and heads to Kalysto’s. Upon entering the warlock’s room, she rushes over to him before grasping onto his right arm and literally dragging him along with her toward the library*
Kalysto: *was busy condensing energy into various spell-stones, which shatter on the ground when Jenna drags him away from his work at the table. He seems quite annoyed as Jenna drags him down to the library and pulls away from her the second he can* You just smashed something that could have helped us! *grumbles and turns his back on her, putting his hands together to attempt to conjure more stones*
Jenna: *growls then glares at the dark-haired elf* Sit down. I want to avoid as many difficulties and casualties as I can. *She glances around the room, wanting to insure that Rhyderi had followed her instructions as well* Neither of you seem to fully understand what you have volunteered to fight.
Kalysto: *rather flatly* I know what it is. The Astral Plane is made up of spirits and entities of all shapes and sizes. The smallest of these are insignificant beings, some no bigger than energy-sparks. Then there are bigger ones such as imps, lesser-demons, demons, demon-guards, greater-demons, overlords, Magister-demons, Fel-Lords, Pit-Lords, etc. Work your way up the chain of command until you get to what that thing is. And that’s what it is.
Rhyderi: *shrugs* I don’t care. I just want to defeat it.
