Desiree: *tilts her head as she notices what Droozun is doing. She then shakes her head before scowling at Kalysto* Hello, this is your demon. You specifically said that you don’t want me to interfere. *she rolls her eyes* You talk to him.
Kalysto: *makes a tired sighing sound, turning away from her as he buries the temptations welling up inside of him* Fine. *closes his eyes and stands there for a few moments, trying to concentrate. He furrows his brows as if he’s getting into some kind of argument, then makes a huffing sound* Yeah, he suspects it’s a trap. He’s mocking me.
Droozun: *begins to attack the air, biting at it in his frustration*
Desiree: *turns her attention toward Droozun. She screws up her face in confusion as she watches the felhunter act out. She then glances down at the materia in her hands before snorting* Hmph.. *She suddenly stops channeling any energy into the orb at all. She then looks at Kalysto* Hey, don’t say that I didn’t try to help you. By the way… your dog has gone bat-shit insane.
Kalysto: He’s not a dog. *crouches down to pick the Felhunter up, cuddling him in order to calm him down. He strokes the demon’s maw, which seems to work very well as the creature soon leans up against him, going very placid* If another Warlock saw me do this, I would be mocked for sure. We are supposed to see them as tools, not companions. However, with this one… *gently pokes a finger in the Felhunter’s mouth, and he is rewarded with a playful bite* A willing loyal servant will never rebel. And should be rewarded for its actions.
Desiree: *grins and nods at Kalysto* I know that you’re very close to that guy. *she softly chuckles at the scene before her then nods in approval* I think the two of you are a perfect match. *She then glances down at the black materia and sighs* Thought it would have worked for sure..
Kalysto: If the previous events didn’t happen, he probably would have come willingly to me. He was instructed to protect me anyway, and he does not wish to dishonor the one who asked him to do that. So my guess is that he will come around eventually. *sighs in irritation* He just doesn’t respect me. That’s most of the problem, actually.
Desiree: Well, that much is really easy to tell… aside from the him being asked to protect you. *She groans and grumbles* It’s worth one last shot… *She then holds up the black materia once more. However, this time, along with channeling energy into the orb, she also tries to create a small rift into the astral plane to make the energy pass into it even quicker* Come on..
Kalysto: *stares at Desiree, fascinated by what she is doing* ….I want that thing. Give it to me.
Bael: *makes a loud rumbling noise at the energy, finally moving towards it* *”You try to bait me little human, but you have garnered my attention. Are you making an offering to me in order for me to be motivated to merge with the weakling elf once again? Because I find your plans to be very poor.”*
Desiree: *grunts in frustration as she tries to stabilize both the energies in the black materia and the rift at the same time. However, as soon as Bael comes closer and speak to her, she becomes distracted* ~I am..~ *Unfortunately for the girl, before she can manage to even think of the end of her sentence, a powerful force rushes through the astral plane, zeroing in on her energy. This force literally slams past Bael, as if shoving him out of the way. Within a split second, a black tentacle suddenly bursts out of the rift before slamming into Desiree and ramming her into the nearest tree with such force that it breaks the thick trunk in half. Soon after, a pair of claws grip onto the edges of the rift and begin forcing it to widen up*
Bael: *despite his size and stature within the Astral Plane, he retreats like lightning when the larger superior Astral energy comes racing in his direction. He retreats away enough that he can still observe, while trying to stay out of the way, knowing full well that the larger entity can consume him if it wanted to*
Kalysto: *stares at the rift and quickly drops to the ground, ducking his head* What the hell…? *winces at Desiree as she strikes the tree*
*The claws continue to force the rift to open. However, they suddenly stop once it is only three feet wide. Instead, the tentacle that had struck out at Desiree retreats back in before black ooze leaks out of the rift before slowly slithering over to where the girl landed. As soon as the ooze reaches the girl’s feet, it gathers up before reforming into a large, nearly 6 meters tall, draonic creature with tri-layered wings. The creature then narrows its eyes as it examines the girl more closely* You are not that wretched traitor..
Kalysto: *flicks his ears back as far as they will go, glaring at the draconic creature that has just broken it’s way into the tangible realm, just observing it*
Droozun: *makes a loud angry warcry at Sesshou and suddenly leaps away from Kalysto, running towards it as fast as he can. Once close enough, he begins trying to bite her, attempting to devour some of her energy*
Sesshou: *continues to hover over Desiree, examining her* Hmph.. you stink of that traitor thou- *She then lifts her head and looks down as the demon dog begins to strike at her feet. Soon enough, she begins to laugh* Little creature. You dare try to drain me? *She then suddenly opens up the end of her right tentacle, revealing a maw. With that, she slams attempts to slam the tentacle down on the fel hunter so that she can simply consume it and be rid of the creature*
Desiree: *releases a pitiful moan. However, she doesn’t move from her position. She had been knocked out by the blow. And, she has gained several broken ribs and a dislocated left shoulder thanks to the impact*
Kalysto: *keeps his distance, torn between whether to move for Desiree, or his Felhunter which is about to be devoured. When he sees that Sesshou is distracted by Droozun, he moves for the Felhunter, immediately flicking a small firestarter spell on the tentacle before following it up with a much larger fireball, intended to explode on impact*
Sesshou: *pauses as her tentacle is blown up. She then narrows her eyes at Kalysto before kicking the fel-hunter in his direction* Insolent creatures. *she spreads open her wings to make herself look even larger then rams the claws of her left hand into the ground such that they puncture the tree that still surrounds Desiree, only missing the girl herself by mere inches* This one… She stinks of the traitorous human who calls herself Jenna. Where is that human?
Kalysto: *promptly grabs the Felhunter once it is kicked towards him and sacrifices it on the spot for it’s own preservation. Once the pup is free, he runs towards Desiree, intending to get her out of there*
Shesshou: *bares her fangs then swings her tail out at Kalysto, intending to fling him away* I repeat, where is the human who calls herself Jenna? *with that, she lifts up her “pointer claw before drawing it along Desiree’s chest, producing a rather large slash along her skin* Or do I need to destroy this little one to get my answer?
Kalysto: *growls as he is pushed off his feet and simply stands up again and resumes running back to Desiree, attempting to get close enough so he can pick her up and run off with her* I don’t know who that is. Now piss off!
Sesshou: *narrows her eyes at Kalysto’s actions. She then lunges forward in order to snap her jaws down only a few inches away from his face* Little mortal. I do not believe you. *She once again gorges her claw along Desiree’s flesh* I repeat, this little one stinks of the human’s presence. She is an offspring, I am certain. So, where is the mother??
Kalysto: *seems more annoyed than anything else. He simply flicks his ears back at the snapping, wanting to keep them out of the way from getting bitten or torn* Heh. You’re not the first overlord who’s tried flaunting their power at me to strike fear into my being, but I really don’t give a shit. So stop with the act, huh? You’re superior to me – big fucking deal. *rolls his eyes* Also, I find it amusing that despite the fact I’m a little mortal, and nothing more than a mere minion conductor, you’re still too dumb to actually just find out for yourself. You certainly don’t need me to tell you where shit is.
Sesshou: Overlord? Hmm… I do rule over several galaxies, but few refer to me as that. *she begins to chuckle* Oh, you misunderstand me. While it is easier for me to get the information from you willingly- *She tries to slam him into a tree with her tail* I need not your input to find my quarry at all. *She slashes at the girl under her one last time, her form then melts away as she chooses that these two are not worth her time. With that, the slime that composes her form rapidly slithers away*
Kalysto: *puts up no resistance as Sesshou smacks him away again. He goes limp in an attempt to lessen the impact as he smashes against the tree, but it doesn’t do much good and he lies on the ground shortly after, quite out of it*
Desiree: *is currently in very bad shape, for she has several long slashes along her chest which are bleeding. Her broken, bruised, and overall badly injured body is sprawled inside the remains of the tree that Sesshou had flung her into. Meanwhile, the black materia lies a few feet away from her feet*
Kalysto: *doesn’t move again for about another five minutes. He slowly sits up, seeming most annoyed about the situation* These damn things… it gets really tiring to hear “I’m so much bigger and superior to you!”. *snorts* Really don’t give a shit… doesn’t do anything… *moves to his feet, glancing over at Desiree. He makes a tired sighing sound at her and struggles to pick her up, carrying her back to the base. He ignores the Black Materia utterly*
Desiree: *a faint pained whimper escapes her lips as she’s picked up. Luckily for Kalysto, she’s still a teenager, though nearly fully grown. So, she is still quite petite. Unfortunately, she was attacked with much more saveragery than Kalysto, so she isn’t about to regain conciousness any time soon*
