*The demon makes an unamused sound* *”Minion? Hardly. If anything, the Warlock has sworn fealty to me. Not the other way around.”* *grumbles in demonic tongue to himself* *”You bothered me to learn how to make tea?”*
Sephiroth: *moves an arm around Jenna, not liking the situation* Let’s just get out of here, OK? *sighs*
Desiree: ~I wasn’t particularly trying to bother you exactly… Just any that know him. And fine… companion. I don’t know what the hell he calls you guys or what the relationship is. I still want to make him his damn tea!~
Jenna: Mmmm… *looks over at Rhyderi once more then snarls at him* He still a wretch, theif, and intruder…
*The demon growls* *”I would be the only one who… knows how to communicate. The Felhunter knows nothing. The small one is about as simple minded – though it would rather terrorize you and break your posessions.”* *growls again* *”If you want to make the weakling’s tea, simply dissolve leaves in heated water. It is as simple as that. Is that all you want me for?”*
Sephiroth: *sharply pulls Jenna away* Do what you were originally intending to do. Don’t get distracted now.
Desiree: Huh? *She frowns and looks at the leaves again* ~But… these leaves don’t dissolve… How the hell… That can’t possibly be right.~ *shaking her head, she begins to heat up some water anyway*
Jenna: *yelps then glares at Sephiroth as he pulls her back* Silver hair.. Meddling fool. *she reaches out, intending to slash at his face. However, she is still rather weak and would be easy to stop*
*The demon sighs irritably* *”Find a shard and bind me to this world. I know where the elf hides the leaves and I know how to do it. It’s such a simple pathetic task that a blinded leper could do it.”* *pauses* *”You can find the shards amongst the elf’s rubbish assortment of knick-nacks, and you can bind me to this world by placing the shard in one of the elf’s circles.”* *growls* *”Then say the words ‘ashal alar relamore’ and the rest will be done.”*
Sephiroth: *snatches Jenna’s wrist when she reaches out at him and narrows his eyes* We’re not going through this again.
Desiree: Mmmm… *frowns as she considers what the demon is telling her. Eventually, she nods* ~Fine… But before I summon you.. What the hell is your name? How do I know that I can trust you?~ *she slips out of the kitchen then heads back to Kalysto’s room. Deciding to completely ignore Zulmire, she moves to Kalysto’s drawers and begins searching through them*
Jenna: *Hisses in annoyance as her hand is gripped onto. However, she tries to swipe at Sephiroth a few more times before groaning with exhaustion and leaning into him*
*The demon rumbles* *”I have no name. Our kind do not believe in them. However, Lady Milena decided to gift me with the name of ‘Bael’ when she was alive and bound her soul to mine. The offspring of hers that has decided to do the same, also decided to give me the same title. I cannot say I object. Because he actually gives a damn about you, I am sure you have heard of the name mentioned at least once before.”*
Sephiroth: *simply glares at Jenna, waiting until she’s done*
Desiree: ~Yea.. I’ve heard him mention that name before… He never really explained much of anything to me though.~ *she continues to dig through Kalysto’s belongings until she finds a crystal-like item. Figuring that it is a soul shard, she grasps onto it then moves back to the kitchen* ~You better not be planning on betraying me or something…~ *she sets the shard on the floor the kitchen before softly speaking* Umm… ashal alar relamore…
Jenna: *releases a tired groan as she leans into Sephiroth. She then mutters* My head hurts…
*the ground begins to smoulder along with the shard as Desiree states the summoning words. Within moments, a very large horned bipedal demon with goat-hoofed legs takes a step into the tangible world. As its horns scrape against the ceiling, it ducks, crouching in the room so it will actually fit properly. It then looks around itself for a few moments, it’s smoldering fiery eyes narrowing in dissaproval of its surroundings* The point to betraying you? There is none… *shakes his head in dissaproval and makes a rumbling snort, swaying his tail* Well, where is it? *glares down at her*
Desiree: *stares as the demon appears. She then mutters* Damn… Big.. *quickly shaking her head, she moves over to the pot of boiling water and the mana thistle leaves that she had gathered* I was getting it started… I just don’t see how these leaves dissolve…
Bael: Yes, I am big, How very observant of you. *makes his wings tangible and flares them out to make himself look even bigger than he already is. If Desiree is observant, she may notice that they are the exact same colour as the wings that occaisonally phase-shift from Kalysto’s back* This had better be quick. My host is weak without me. *eyes off the leaves and reaches down to pick a couple of them up* They dissolve. They just do. *rumbles* Is that all?
Desiree: Yea… I’m just trying to help him heal up.. I’m certain that you want your host to be healed up too.. *she frowns* Is there something more that I should do to help him get rid of that fever?
Bael: *growls impatiently, swaying his tail, knocking over one of the kitchen chairs nearby* One thing at a time, humanoid. You summoned me into this world for one simple purpose. I am obliged to fullfill that before I go on my way. *gently plucks the leaves from the table, then holds them in his claws, before he holds them out for Desiree to take* They dissolve. They are barely holding together as it is.
Desiree: Hrmph… I would have thought that you’d care about the well-being of your host or whatever.. *shrugging, she looks at the water. Noticing that it’s boiling, she nods then snatches the leaves from the demon before putting it in the water* This still doesn’t sound like it should work.
Bael: *growls* It dissolves. You do not need to comprehend it to see it occur. *flails his tail around behind him and begins to walk away, seeming to know the way out of the base*
Desiree: *grumbles* If it’s that simple.. I could have done it. I wasn’t not going to do what you were saying before.. *she sprinkles the leaves into the boiling water. She then tilts her head as she waits for the water to become tea* I hope he approves..
Bael: *growls* *”If it gets him high enough to seperate him from his reality and permanent memories, then that silly little elf approves of anything. Such a dissapointing result of it’s mother, but nothing can be done now.”* *walks up the stairs, having to crouch most of the way because he barely fits as it is. Once outside, he stomps off, wanting to explore the world around him*
Desiree: Mmmm… Yes, I suppose you’re right there.. It’s such a pity that he likes being high so often. He misses out on so much. *she finally thinks that he tea is done. So, she fills a mug with the liquid before moving up the stairs. Soon enough, she moves to Kalysto’s bedside before lowering the cup so that the rim is near Kalysto’s nose* ~Hey, wake up. I have something for you.~
Kalysto: *flicks an ear, then cracks his eyes open, looking up at her* Huh…? *sniffs the contents of the cup, then tries to grab onto it so he can drink it*
Zulmire: *looks up at them* Are you sure dat be a good idea? I mean. He not be healed an everythin.
Desiree: Yea, I know he’s healing… But he needs to keep hydrated too.. *she shrugs* I guess if it hurts him.. We’ll know. *she grins as she notices that Kalysto is reaching for the cup. So, she moves to gently position his hands to grasp onto the mug* Here you go.
Kalysto: *makes a low grumbling sound and begins to drink from the cup, immediately wincing in pain afterwards. He quickly sets the cup down on the table nearby and adopts a tight ball position, hugging his stomach*
Zulmire: I w’d say not. Heh. *moves to his feet and pokes Kalysto’s shoulder* He’ll be alright though. Dey always regenerate. *crouches down to look under the bed* Some’tin has been botherin me since I got here. Dere’s somethin else in dis room. But I dunno what it is.
Desiree: *softly sighs as she notices that Kalysto is clutching his stomach in pain. Sighing, she tries to cast the best type of healing spell that she knows on him, hoping that it’d relieve at least some of his pain. She then glances at Zulmire* Huh? What are you talking about?
Zulmire: It small an under here. Its been under here since I got here, an its not been touched. *reaches under the bed, pulling at the incubation box. Once it is out in the open, he gently sets it down to look over it, wondering how to open it* It be familiar somehow. I can jus feel it in my heart. Da spirits are never wrong about dis sort of thing, mon.
Kalysto: *pulls the covers over himself entirely* *”Go away…”*
Desiree: *softly sighs at Kalysto’s request* ~Stop that. Friends don’t abandon each other like that. I’ve been trying to help you out. That’s what a friend does.~ *she gently pats the top of his head* ~Despite what you might want, I do care about your wellbeing.~ *she then frowns as Zulmire brings out the incubation box* Oh.. That… Umm..
