Sephiroth: *loudly sighs at him* What do you want? If I sit you on my lap while I work, you have to promise not to bother me. I can’t stand being interrupted while I am working hard. *picks the boy up and carries him with him as he moves over to his work chair. Then he sets Chimera down in his lap and reaches for the newly arrived stack of faxed papers that he has to work on now*
Ramiel: I’m not making it difficult, mother. I can deal with things on my own without the aid of weapons, I just use my powers to freeze stuff in place or something. Or smash it with a wave of destructive psycho-kinetic energy. *shrugs*
Jennah: *frowns at Ramiel* Please, stop arguing with me on these matters. Seph made all the same complaints and whatnot when he was your age. In fact, he didn’t do all that much better than you did on his first go in survival training. *shakes her head* All you need is a bit of practice, that’s all.
Chimera: *purrs as he’s set down in Seph’s lap and begins to gently kneed his claws into Sephy’s left thigh. Soon enough, he presses his nose against Seph’s abdomen and begins to gently lick his father there.*
Sephiroth: *grits his teeth slightly as his thigh is kneeded by Chimera’s claws, but tolerates it. He turns his attention downward as his abdomen area is licked and raises his eyebrow at the boy* What are you doing? If you’re hungry, I can take you back to your mother. You won’t get any food from doing that.
Chimera: *continues to affectionately like his father for another moment then looks up at him and releases a large yawn, stretching out his jaws to the max. Once that is done, he flaps his wings then begins to curl up so that he can fall asleep in Sephy’s lap*
Dimitri: *strolls into the kitchen, wanting to grab a snack. However, he pauses as he spots Ramiel* Huh? Who are you? ~Father, there’s some new guy here. I’ve never seen him before. Do you know anything about him?~ *accompanies his telepathic message with an image of Ramiel*
Ramiel: *immediately backs up as he hears Dimitri’s voice, one hand reaching to grip onto the small sword on his belt, ready to draw it in a heartbeat. His tail sways behind him and his eyes glow slightly as they stare attentively at him. Ramiel tenses up and stands tall, then begins to make a soft rumbling growl, assuming Dimitri to be a threat*
Sephiroth: *”I’ve never seen that one before. Ask them who they are. And what the hell they’re doing in our house.”*
Dimitri: *flaps his wings, disturbed by the fact that someone has a sword pointed toward him* ~Then? One of them is the other version of mother that you gave premission to stay here. And the other.. Well, he’s pointing a sword at me at the moment, Father. I don’t want to ask him who he is again.~ *backs toward the doorway, keeping his attention on the sword*
Jennah: *sighs at Ramiel* Put that up, boy. This is one of the children of the other version of me. It will do us no good for you to harm him.
Ramiel: *Places his small sword away again, but doesn’t ease his stance at all. He just continues to sway his tail, growling at Dimitri, making the noise louder as he inches towards him* Yeah and what if he harms me instead? What then, huh?
Sephiroth: *”I’ve no idea. I will come out and look.”* *picks up Chimera and sets him over his shoulder, loudly sighing* Feh, and I didn’t want to get up… *moves out of his office and heads into the kitchen, raising an eyebow at the boy* What the hell is your problem, boy? Stop acting so defensive. If you attack anybody in this house, you will not survive long. *snorts*
Jennah: *rolls her eyes and the scene* Will you all calm down already? There is no reason for this stupid arguement. No one here is threatening anyway. *rests her hand on Ramiel’s shoulder* Now, Ram, calm down and relax. *blinks and stares at Chimera* I see the freaky child is out again…
Dimitri: *flaps his wings in response to Ramiel’s statements* I am a pacifist. I have never once hurt anyone or anything. *grins as Sephy moves into the room then rushes to his side* Now, listen to my Father.
Sephiroth: *loudly growls at Jennah* I do not approve of that comment at all. If that’s going to be your attitude, you can get out of this house. *snorts* And take the confrontational one with you. Neither hostility nor insult towards members of my family is welcome here.
Ramiel: *frowns and relaxes, glancing up at Jennah* *”I don’t like him. He’s really mean…”*
Jennah: *frowns at Sephiroth’s comments* I was only saying that one child’s genetics are seriously strange. I cannot imagine how he was created, and I don’t want to know. *scowls* And I have helped your family quite a bit by giving your wife food while she was pregnant and so on. *gently pats Ramiel’s shoulder in order to help reassure the boy* ~Do not worry about him, Ramiel. He’s just about as mean as your brother, that’s all.~
Dimitri: *mumbles* She’s one to talk. That other one there has a tail just like half of our family does…
Sephiroth: *grunts sharply* Just don’t say things like that again. *carries Chimera out of the room with him, heading back for his study/work room. He shuts the door behind him and sets Chimera back down in his lap, picking up the papers he was working on before*
Ramiel: *sways his tail, but seems more interested this time* So there are others that look like me? *cautiously moves towards Dimitri, his attention on his giant red wings*
Jennah: *rolls her eyes at Sephiroth* I’m glad that my Sephiroth is nothing like him. I’d have to beat up my son quite frequently if he had that sort of attitude. *sticks her tongue out at Sephy then turns her attention back to Ramiel* Yes, there are other children like you. Several other ones about here like you, infact.
Dimitri: *blinks as Ramiel comes closer to him and nervously shuffles his wings about behind him* What? Is there something that I can help you with?
Ramiel: *to Dimitri* Yeah, I think there is. *moves behind him and lightly pats the outside of his wing, then he lightly grasps onto part of the wing membrane, wanting to examine it more closely* So can you fly with these? *looks back at Jennah* *”Seph is like that. He’s mean, he’s bad tempered, and he says nasty things to me all the time.”*
Dimitri: *releases a loud, sharp yelp as Ramiel touches his wing and jumps away from the boy. In the process, he bangs his back and head into the wall behind him. Thus, he gains a small bit of a headache* Umph… What do you think you’re doing? *tries to hide his wings behind his back* No, I can’t fly… I’m not good at doing anything at all. *Shakes his head*
Jennah: ~Ram, you know that’s all just him teasing you. He never seriously says anything negative to you.~
Ramiel: *Stares at Dimitri as he bangs his head up against the wall* Hey, be careful there. *Sways his tail and tries to move beside him, wanting to get a better look at the wings* Why can’t you fly with them? They look big enough. I can swish my tail and it makes for great balance when I’m climbing. So why can’t you fly with your wings? *frowns at Jennah* *”Not really, but sometimes he still makes me mad.”*
Dimitri: *frowns at Ramiel’s advice* Yes, be careful… *shakes his head then moves to stumble over to the table, rubbing the back of his head. Eventually, he slumps down into a chair near the table* I can’t fly, that’s just how it is. I can’t do psychic stuff like my father and I can’t figure out how to fly. I am just a strange looking human.
Jennah: ~Well, that’s just how brothers are, Ram. But despite the occacional bouts of anger and disputes, you two still are family.~
Ramiel: *”Family or not, he’s still a pest sometimes.”* *keeps his attention on Dimitri’s wings* They look good enough for flying, if you stretch them out for a bit. Have you ever tried flying with them? I bet with some practise, you could be soaring on them with ease.
Jennah: ~All families have their ups and downs, Ramiel. That is just the way things are. Would you really prefer to have Sephiroth always pleasing you?~ *shakes her head* ~You’ve seen how Kerash and I interact afterall.~
Dimitri: *frowns at Ramiel* Yes, when I was about seven years old, I jumped out of a tree and tried to fly. Because of that, I fell straight to the ground and broke my wing. *shakes his head* I can’t fly.
Ramiel: That’s pretty dumb. When I learned to fly, I had to start at ground level. You should’a done the same, you know. Otherwise, yeah, I can see why you say you can’t fly. Especially if you only had one try at it. Try again. *”Yeah, I know… it’s not always bad, but we still fight.”*
Seph: *wanders in through the back door of the house, his suit spattered with blood, his face mildly scratched*
Dimitri: *frowns at Ramiel* That’s nice, but you sound like a psychic. Those who want to learn how to fly with actual wings need height first so that we can catch an updraft. *shakes his head* I’m not very gifted when it comes to psychic abilities. The most I can do is speak to others with my mind.
Jennah: ~My point is that it is natural for families to fight. If you didn’t fight from time to time, then I may get a bit concerned.~
Ramiel: Huh? How about just taking off from the ground? I’ve seen dragons and birds leap into the air and flap off. There’s no reason why you can’t just do that, right? I mean, it’s not hard to jump and take off. Dragons learn it when they’re teenagers. *sighs and glances back at Jennah* *”Yeah I guess. Can we drop this subject? I don’t hate him, but sometimes he’s a jerk.”*
Dimitri: *becomes even more irritated with Ramiel than he was before when the boy was only poking his wings* No, I can’t do that. I can only jump about as high as any other human. A few feet at best will not get me the needed height to grab an uplift. Dragons have powerful hind legs that allow them to spring up several times over their own height. *shakes his head* I’m grounded.
Jennah: ~Alright, I’ll give you that much. Seph can be a bit of a pain when he doesn’t want to do something. That is quite true. *nods her head* Still, he does care about you, and he is your brother.~ *looks up and frowns as she spots Seph in the other room* Seph? What happened to you?
Ramiel: *sighs at him* Well… that’s too bad… *backs away from him, sensing his rising irritability* Sorry. *”Yeah, I know he cares, mother…”*
Seph: *looks up at Jennah upon hearing her voice* Oh, I’m just fine. I had a bit of a struggle killing something, but its dead now, and I got to eat it. It’s not a good idea to go hunting out there for some time. Some of the building humans spotted me and called out to me. *scowls* They knew my whole name – they called me Sephiroth! Of all the nerve…
Dimitri: *grumbles* My other siblings with wings will probably not be able to get themselves off the ground either. *shakes his head and deeply sighs, releasing all of his frustrations*
Jennah: *frowns at Seph* They probably thought that you were the other Sephiroth, Seph… Did you do anything to them to make them angry at you? The Sephiroth who runs this household is already short-tempered enough, we don’t want to make him even more aggressive to our presence. *mutters* I’m actually enjoying the peace that this place is offering.
Kether: *totters into the room, taking slow steps to insure he stays upright. Once he reaches the doorway to the kitchen, he looks at Jennah then at Ramiel in confusion* Who?
Ramiel: That’s a real shame. I’d love for a lovely pair of wings. I don’t get it, you should be able to fly… *looks dissapointed. He glances up at Kether as he speaks and tilts his head curiously* Who are we? *points to himself* I’m Ramiel. *points to Jennah* That’s my mother.
Seph: I didn’t do anything to make them angry, but they seemed annoyed when I didn’t know what the hell they were talking about. But their loud bumbling around outside is scaring away all the food animals. It’s a good idea to not hunt nearby them.
