Jenna: Very well, Seph. I am sorry for misunderstanding your words. *shrugs* I know you don’t complain about things, it’s just when you bring up a subject frequently, it seems like you are trying to complain. *grins at Chimera* Yes, it does seem that he’s already tired out. Guess you’re too tall for him to jump all over yet.
Xelong: *lowers his head and continues to mentally transmit an impression of pouting. Still, he slowly nods his head* ~Alright, alright, to please you two both, I’ll learn things that are not necessary for me to learn. It’s going to be a waste of my time though.~
Jennah: ~What are you talking about, Seph? I do not sense anything out of place.~ *reaches down to take off her boots then lies down on the bed. She gives Ramiel a side-ways glance then grins at him* You sleep like the little angel that you were named after…
Sephiroth: With some luck he won’t grow as tall as me. Hopefully he will stay short like yourself so that he can’t climb over me at all in the end. *grins broadly, openly showing that he’s just kidding around*
Holly: *runs a hand through Xelong’s hair, sighing at him* Oh come on, its not that bad. One day it will come in handy and you won’t regret having to learn it.
Seph: *”There’s giant boats coming towards the land. I don’t think they’re friendly either. Should I fly over to them and try to sink them?”*
Jenna: *blinks as she catches on to what Sephiroth said, then openly glares at him. She growls and moves to punch him in the shoulder, not even bothering to hold back* I am not short, Seph! For a female, I am on the tall side. *aggressively snorts at him* You’re not exactly the tallest male to ever exist yourself.
Xelong: *crosses his arms and looks at Zack* ~Both of you want me to learn, so fine, I’ll humor you. But it’s not important for dragons to learn human things. I can just poke about human minds and reap them of their thoughts.. Well, if I was older, I could do that.~
Jennah: *slowly shakes her head* ~No, Seph. It is not ours to protect this land. If you are concerned about the boats though, feel free to contact your dimensional double. He is the one who truly should decide what comes and goes here.~
Sephiroth: *sighs as Jenna punches him in the shoulder and flinches slightly, though he doesn’t move from his current position on the bed* No, I am not the tallest male to exist. *frowns as he hears a large honking noise from the freight liner moving towards the continent and gets to his feet, looking out the window* Ah, they’re here. It may be a suggestion to take off for a week. Because construction tends to be very loud.
Zack: Yeah I guess you could do that… *sighs at him* I don’t know why you’re so against it. Some old dragons read and wrote, some wrote the books in mother’s library. You can’t stay illiterate all your life you know.
Seph: *grunts* I suppose I will ask him then.”* *narrows his eyes at the ship as it blares its horn and darts back towards the house, figuring his hunting has been ruined*
Ramiel: *makes a soft groaning noise and slowly sits up, rubbing his eyes, yawning*
Jenna: *Snorts at Seph’s suggestion and shakes her head before firmly stating* Noise does not bother me, Seph. I’ll be quite fine staying at home whether there is construction nearby or not. *frowns as a thought crosses her mind* Unless… It is you who wants to escape the area in order to get peace and quiet. *gives Sephy a quizzical glance, curious as to what his answer will be*
Xelong: *grumbles though there are no actual words to his noises. It is more like a dragon’s soft grumbling growl* ~Alright, alright, I get it. I said I’d learn what you want me to learn.~
Jennah: *blinks as Ramiel wakes up, not having expected him to rouse so soon. After a moment, the sorceress leans in to Ram’s side and rests her hand on his shoulder* Shh, you can go back to sleep, Ram. There is no reason why you have to get up right now.
Ramiel: *scratches the side of his head and rubs his eyes* Oh, yeah there is… I’m cold. *looks down at himself* Ah, that would explain why. *lazily stretches* I’m also hungry. Really really hungry. I could eat a horse, except they’re bland and tasteless.
Sephiroth: I just feel the noise would be disruptive and loud. I mean, they’re building a house right next door, or across the field. *shrugs* If you are not bothered by it, we do not have to go anywhere.
Jennah: Well, I’ll go get you food shortly. For now- *moves over to the box of clothing and nudges it closer to the bed* -we were given this clothing for you to pick through and find something comfortable to wear. I know that they’re used, but at least they’ll be something for you to wear until we can get around to buying you new clothes. *reaches down into the box and pulls out a handful of clothes before tossing them over to Ramiel*
Jenna: *Shakes her head* It would not bother me much at all, Seph. Remember, I lived in an area where “thunder lizards” still reigned supreme. *Shrugs* Anyway, if we evacuated the house for the duration of the construction, there’d be a high chance that one of the workers would try to sneak in here and steal something off of you.
Ramiel: *slides down off the bed to look through the box of stuff. He flicks some of the items onto the bed, then picks up a t-shirt to put on* Oh nice clothes. You were given them? They don’t even look like somebody has been wearing them before me. *picks up a shirt which is worn in parts, but still wearable* Ah, maybe not. *grabs up a pair of jeans and puts them on* Tell them I said thanks. *glances out the window* Where’s Seph? Did he go off on his own again?
Sephiroth: Hrmph, more than likely…. *nods* Very well, we will stay here.
Jennah: Yes, your brother ran off on his own after I told him that I want him to accompany you on a few hunts in order to help you out. *Sighs* He’s such a hot-head at times. *reaches over to pat Ramiel’s shoulders* I’m glad that you’re finding things that are acceptable to wear in that pile. It’d be a pain to shop for clothing for you when you are naked. *smirks*
Jenna: *nods back at Seph* Thank you for seeing things my way. I’m certain that the noise won’t be that loud. And if it does start distrubing you, I can start casting spells to muffle it out.
Ramiel: *grins as Jennah pats his shoulders, liking how it feels very much* Oh yeah, and it’d be a pain to walk around the shops while I’m naked too. I’d be self-concious of the fact that everyone would be staring at my schlong. Plus I’d be cold and that wouldn’t be very good at all. *moves over to the window and looks outside, yawning* If Seph is off hunting, he probably won’t want to go again for a while… what a drag.
Sephiroth: *nods his head in appreciation* Ah, thank you very much. I just do not want the noises of the workers to disrupt our lives here. The children are learning every day, it would be a distraction to them otherwise.
Jennah: Acutally, Seph told me that he’s returning to the house right now. Apparently there are a bunch of boats heading over to the island, and they’re making too much noise for your brother’s liking. Still, he’s probably not going to go back out to hunt again soon.. *shrugs* Do you want to eat right now? I can show you where you can get some food for the meantime. *gets to her feet, preparing to walk over to the kitchen*
Jenna: *nods at Sephiroth* Very well, I’ll go ahead and set it up now. Just don’t distrub me while I’m casting this spell. It’s not exactly the easiest thing to set up sound magical sound barriers around a large area when your specialty is attack magic. *closes her eyes and begins to concentrate on her task*
Ramiel: *quickly moves to follow after Jennah* If there’s boats making too much noise, then they’ll scare off the prey and nobody will be able to hunt. So yeah, I’m interested to know where I can get food until then. *cautiously enters the kitchen, warily glancing at the place* I can’t say I like it here….
Sephiroth: *slowly nods his head and goes quiet. He gets to his feet and walks over to their bedroom door, making sure it is firmly shut and locked so that nobody would just barge in and mess up Jenna’s concentration*
Jennah: Hm? What’s wrong with it here, Ramiel? It’s not all that much more different from the base, just above ground and human sized. *indifferently shrugs then opens up a storage cabinet and pulls out a few kills that she had been allowed to store in there away from the other Jenna’s main storage. She pulls out a few rabits-like cratures and then a cervidae type animal. Soon afterwards, she lays the kills at Ramiel’s feet* Here, eat whatever you want. Or, I can ask one of the residents here to actually cook food for you, if that’s to your liking.
Ramiel: *picks up one of the rabbits and begins to pick at it, wanting to pull the skin off so he can get at the flesh underneath* I don’t need anybody to cook for me. This is good enough. *tears a hole in the carcass and begins eating the flesh and guts around the ribcage area*
Jennah: *nods at Ramiel’s response* Very well, I’m glad that you are easily pleased with the food given to you. *moves up behind Ramiel and gently scratches the top of his head in a massage-type motion* Seph mentioned that when he gathered you up, it looked like you hadn’t slept at all during the time that you were left alone. Please, tell me, what happened?
Chimera: *shuffles about as he realizes that Sephiroth is no longer next to him. He sniffs the air for a moment before getting up to all fours and crawling to the edge of the bed. As he moves, he makes a soft whimpering mewl sound*
Ramiel: *makes a loud frustrated noise* Aww mom… *grumbles* You know how Halcyon is in a partially tropical area, right? Well it rained pretty much the entire time I was out in the wild. On top of that, food was scarce. I ate rotting fruit off a tree and got a little drunk, ended up sick the next morning. I managed to catch a few fish, but… most of my time was spent scavenging and foraging. I had no successful hunts, not one. I got to eat meat when some raptors were finished with their kills, but… it was mostly ribcage, sinew, cartilage and bits of junk that they didn’t have the dexterity to pull off the bones. It was horrid. I didn’t have one lucky break all week.
Sephiroth: *moves to sit back down on the bed and pats Chimera on the head* I will have to leave soon.
Jennah: *frowns at what Ramiel tells her and slowly shakes her head* You should know better than to eat rotting fruit. Also, rain should be little than an annoyance while hunting. Sure, it may be an inconvience and a pain to deal with, but the food will still be out there. *frowns* I am a bit disappointed to hear the results of your test; however, you did survive. So, I guess you passed in that regards.
Chimera: *purrs up at Sephiroth as he pats the top of his head and tries to stand up so that he can push his head into Seph’s palm. However, his legs aren’t completley strong enough to support him, so he winds up tumbling back down onto the bed*
Ramiel: I tried hunting, but it just didn’t work out for me! *grumbles* I did the whole prowl-approach thing… I was downwind from the creatures in a lot of the cases so they wouldn’t smell me out, but. It just didn’t work out. I didn’t catch anything…
Sephiroth: *grasps Chimera’s arms and holds him up in a standing position* Is that better? *turns his attention towards the window* Once that boat docks and some person comes to the door, I shall have to depart and oversee what they are going to do for some hours.
Jennah: *shakes her head at Ramiel* I don’t need excuses at this time, boy. What is done is done. *moves in to the boy and sets her hand down on his shoulder* I am just saying that I am not happy with the turn out of that training session. I’m not going to punish you, though; I’m just going to have Seph and myself give you extra attention so that you’d improve and be better the next time around.
Jenna: *finally opens up her eyes, having finished casting the spell. If Sephiroth has become sensitive to energy flowing about the house, he’d feel as if there were a bubble’like field that was diverting flows of sound now over the household* There, it is done. *yawns* I hope you didn’t want sex today.. Because I think I’m going to sleep for the rest of the day now.
Chimera: *whimpers as he listens to Sephiroth. Though he doesn’t quite understand his father’s words quite yet, he catches onto the tone and figure out that it is something that he doesn’t like. So, he looks up at his father before releasing a soft noise* Nnrewl…
Sephiroth: *reaches down to pick Chimera up, setting him over his shoulder* Ah, we do not have to do that every single day. But if you desire to sleep – shall I leave you to it, then? I will take this one along with me if you wish.
Ramiel: What? *frowns* Do I have to do it all over again? The rain was horrible, mother. Any more time spent out in it and I probably would have frozen to death. *shivers at the thought* It was just blustery and cold. I think the planet was going into it’s winter state or something…
Jenna: *grins in appreciation of Sephiroth’s words* Thank you. Don’t worry, I won’t start complaining about only wanting to sleep every night anytime soon though. *glances over at Chimera* If you want to take him with you, you can. He might as well be returned to his room by now, I was just having him in here with me so I could easily keep an eye on him. *yawns* He can get quite rambuncious once he does get moving.
Jennah: *releases a soft chuckle at Ramiel* You’ve known for years that I’ve sent out Seph on survival training sessions on and off throughout the years. Don’t act so surprised. Sure, one time proves that you can survive, but you need to do them more than once in order to improve your abilities. And not all of the times will be filled with rain. *Shakes her head* Anyway, it won’t be for quite some time either way.
Sephiroth: It does not bother me that much. I can keep myself occupied and busy. *perches Chimera up on his shoulder and holds onto his legs with his arm so he doesn’t fall* I will take him with me when I go downstairs to work on more stupid paperwork.
Ramiel: *pouts* I don’t want to do it again. I suck at catching things and Seph was right – if I was left to my own devices with no help, I’d probably be dead by now. I hate going out there and staying out there. I don’t mind hunting but I just can’t. It would help if I had a better weapon.
Chimera: *happily wags his tail as he set down on Sephy’s shoulder. He releases a soft purr and leans over to press his cheek against Sephy’s, headbutting his father in a very feline manner. Meanwhile, the child flaps his wings in order to make himself feel more stable*
Jennah: *frowns at Ramiel* Hey, calm down. We’re going to help you improve. *kneels down next to her second son* We won’t send you back out on another survival training mission until we know that you’ve had some improvement. But please do one thing, trust me. I am doing this so that if one day something horrible happens that makes us become seperated from one another, I won’t need to worry about you dying on me.
Ramiel: Phooey, I’m not going to die, mother. That’s nonsense talk! I’ll be fine. At least I will once I learn how to hunt properly. If you would just give me a gun, it would make things so much easier you know.
Sephiroth: *carries Chimera out of the room and heads down the stairs. He walks into his office and closes the door, setting the boy down on his lounge* Go to sleep here, alright? I have some work to do. If you get bored, I will bring in something for you to entertain yourself with.
Jennah: Ramiel, please, stop making things so difficult. *shakes her head* Guns run out of bullets. What will you do once you’ve fired six shots and no longer have any back up to gain food with, hm? No, I want you to learn how to deal with things when you have nothing to call upon for assistance but your own wits.
Chimera: *tries to grip onto Sephy’s hair with his forepaws, extending his small, soft claws. In the process, he rips a few strands out of Sephy’s scalp* Newl… *whimpers then begins to pitifully mewl at Sephiroth and try to reach out for his father, not wanting to be on the lounge*
