Sephiroth: *stops in the stairway and glances across to Jennah, grunting at her* What kind of a favour? *narrows his eyes* This better be good. *”Don’t blame this entirely on me. You are rebellious also you know.”*
Zack: I’m not calling you dim-witted. Dimmy, like dim-sum. And I don’t think the builders are going to laugh at you. Hell, they might even find you attractive. Lots of builders are those types. Don’t worry about it.
Jennah: *clears her throat before looking into Sephiroth’s eyes and calmly speaking* I have a need to request the aquisition of some clothing from one of your children who is say.. Hmm.. *thinks then holds up her hand to the approximation of Ramie’s height* This high. For, I recently sent Seph to gather up my second son, and it seems that his clothes are more or less scraps. If it will help. I can show you him and you can find clothing for him with full knowledge of how tall and big he is.
Jenna: ~Feh, I’m not that rebellious. You’re the one who actually tried to revolt against the planet you were born on in an attempt to become a god. And haven’t we had this conversation before??~
Dimitri: *glares up at Zack, even more irritated* I still hate the nick-names “Dim-sum”, “Dimmy”, “Dim-wit”, and so on! It’s insulting. *twitches his wings* And I wasn’t talking about my sexual preference, numb-skull. *scowls then stands up and heads back inside*
Zack: *frowns at Dimitri as he watches him depart* *”Oh calm down. I wasn’t trying to pick at you. But fine, you want to leave? Go ahead.”* *heads into the house to find Holly, Mei and Xelong*
Sephiroth: What? You ended up with another son? *raises an eyebrow at her* Is it the child of the other Sephiroth and you? *frowns in thought for a moment* We have clothing, plenty of it. *heads up the rest of the stairway and walks towards the end of the hall, opening the door that leads up the stairway to the attic* *”We have had that conversation many times before, Jen. But you are rebellious as I am, in your own way. There is no point in denying it.”*
Dimitri: *shuffles his wings about, still annoyed at Zack’s words* How am I supposed to believe that you won’t pick on me when you always pick on me… *shakes his head*
Jennah: *scowls at Sephiroth* No, it is not Seph’s child. He only had sex once so far and that woman was not seeded. *snorts and opens the door to the guest room* This child was made by Hojo a few years after I picked up Seph here. Then, Seph convinced me to take him as well.
Jenna: ~I still say that you are much more rebellious than I am. But think what you will, Seph. I won’t try to change your mind.~
Sephiroth: *”I don’t care of the level, I am just merely saying that you have a rebellious nature also. You cannot entirely blame me for the way the children have turned out. They are half of your genetic structure you know.”* *steps up into the attic and begins to go through boxes of clothing that are not in use at the moment. He finds a box full of clothes that he guesses will fit Ramiel, then walks down out of the attic area with it, teleporting the box to Jennah’s feet. He moves to the top of the stairwell and smirks down at her* Try those. If they do not fit, there are five other boxes worth of clothes that probably will.
Zack: *opens the door to their guest room, sitting down on the bed* Hey guys. Miss me at all?
Jennah: *yelps in surprise as the box appears infront of her and plops down at her feet. She scowls and backs away from the box then mutters, glancing over at Sephy as she speaks* Well, I can now see that all Sephiroths enjoy practical jokes. Or at the very least, you guys like scarying the hell out of those around you.. *Snorts once more* Seph, please pick up this box and set it down next to the bed.
Xelong: *Is currently sleeping next to Holly. He doesn’t notice Zack’s return because he is deep asleep*
Seph: *picks up the box of clothes* This smells a bit musty… *grunts* I will need you to open the door. I would say we’d need to be quiet but we don’t – Ramiel wil sleep through a thunderstorm and the apocalypse.
Holly: *looks up at Zack and smiles, speaking quietly* I heard your plane coming so I know you were headed home, but it’s nice to see you, honey. *points to Xelong* I was teaching him how to talk. He’s tired out from learning and trying so hard.
Jennah: *nods at Seph* Yes, that would make perfect sense, Seph. *walks over to the door and opens it up for her son. She moves to stand behind the doorway so that she isn’t in Seph’s way then glances over at Ramiel* I suppose you’re right about how deeply he sleeps… *shakes her head* I have no idea how he achieves such. Neither of us sleep as deeply as he does.
Xelong: *makes a soft “mmm” sound then moves to snuggle up against Holly’s side. If one didn’t know better, he’d look like he is accustomed to hugging his “mother’ in such a fashion all the time*
Holly: *smiles down at Xelong and reaches over to stroke his hair with her hands*
Seph: *dumps the box down on the floor* I don’t sleep that heavily either. We could probably turn him over and put clothes on him actually. He’d never wake up… *frowns* He has no shame. He’s sleeping naked.
Sephiroth: *heads the rest of the way up the stairs and walks into his bedroom, grinning at Jenna as he moves over to her* You look comfortable there.
Xelong: *grins a bit, even though the expression is a bit hard to read, and opens his eyes a crack to look up at Holly* Tha’ feel goo. *it is clear that he’s been practicing on expressions and vocalizing his thoughts quite a bit*
Jennah: *blinks and gives Seph a sideways look* Huh? I’ve slept nude as well, Seph. In fact, I recall you having done it in the past. *Shakes her head* What is wrong about sleeping nude? It’s quite comfortable when you’re in a bed you can trust and the air around you is hot.
Jenna: *broadly grins as she sees Sephy. However, she restrains her excitement and remains on the bed, desiring for him to come to her* Maybe I am comfortable. Do you want to come here and check, hm?
Seph: Oh I don’t care really. It was just another excuse to say something about him. *smirks at her* You know, that whole ‘brother picking on another’ thing. I’m sure you would have done it too if you had a sibling to pick on. *glances at Ramiel and pulls the covers over him* At least he’s clean and sleeping now. When I found him he was covered in nettles and wild honey, and he was halfway up a tree, shivering. *chuckles* He didn’t do as well as me.
Holly: *grins down at Xelong* You’re definitely getting better at it. You’re a fast learner too.
Sephiroth: *moves to sit on the bed, then stretches before slowly unbuckling his boots to take off* Oh no, I don’t need to check. You look comfortable as is right now. *smirks* Did you see the stupid press conference?
Jennah: *softly mutters under her breath* Actually, I tore out the throats of those who picked on me as a child… Then again, it was more than sibling fueds in most cases.. *quickly shakes her head in order to cast away her thoughts* I’m glad that you care enough about your brother that you enjoy teasing him like that. *allows herself a small grin* And I don’t doubt your assessment of how well he did. *reaches over to pat the top of Ramiel’s head* I think I’ll have you take him out with you for the next few weeks. I don’t know what else to do.
Xelong: *nods* Yef, fash. *a small frown forms on his lips* Buh wan ‘a geh bettah.
Jenna: No, I did not bother watching the press conference. *Shakes her head* I figured that you’d rather not have me watch such nonsense. Unless… that is what you wanted. *Shrugs then tries to hand Chimera, who had been contently sleeping on Jenna’s lap, over to Seph*
Sephiroth: *grasps onto Chimera as he is handed over to him, setting him in his lap properly. He glances down at him and pats the top of his head, smirking* Does this one do anything else other than sleep? I’ve not seen him do much else.
Zack: You’ll get better. Then once you’ve learned it, are you going to transform back into a dragon?
Seph: *pouts* I am to escort him outside? I don’t want to hunt with him… he’s lousy at it. He keeps making noises and scaring off my food. *folds his arms* Make him catch his own food in his own time, mother.
Chimera: *slowly opens his eyes as Seph picks him up. It takes him a few moments to focus on Seph, but once he recognizes his father, he begins to loudly purr and shuffles closer to his abdomen, nearly crawling. Once there, he presses his head against Seph’s chest and chirps, wanting to be pat and have attention*
Jenna: Yes, he does more than sleep, Seph. It’s just he sleeps quite a bit. You should know well enough that the boy eats and plays around from time to time. *indifferently shrugs* I guess he just has more fun in his dreams. It’s not like most infants are up and aware all the time.
Xelong: *looks up and thinks for a moment then looks at Zack* ~For when I am outside, yes. But being a human is much easier for when I am inside with you humans. This house isn’t made for dragons.~
Jennah: *deeply frowns at Seph’s protests and gives him a poignant glare* No, Seph. He needs someone to work with to show him how to get better. So, you are the one who needs to teach him. I am not going to let you slip out of this task.
Zack: *slowly nods his head* *”Well… whatever you decide is up to you. I’m not going to object to your decision either way. Though if you decided to be a person for extended periods of time, mother or father may ask you to participate in the same lessons that their other children are doing.”*
Sephiroth: *smirks slightly in amusement and pats the soft area between Chimera’s wings* So did you end up deciding to feed him that chewed up meat?
Seph: *scowls back at Jennah in a defiant manner* Do I have to? He has ruined kills and hunts in the past with his loudness. He is unskilled and untrained and downright bad at hunting. I do not like it much. To have him come with me on hunts? I may as well yell at my prey and throw rocks at them, it would acheive the same thing if Ram were to come along.
Xelong: ~I like being able to fit in the bed with you and Holly. It’s nice and warm. She’s also very nice with her hands. I love it when she rubs my back.~ *broadly grins, having figured out that is the proper human expression to match his feelings* ~Why do I need to go to lessons? I’m much older than all those other children.~
Chimera: *happily chirps at Sephiroth and flaps his wings, though the movement is rather weak considering the fact that the wings are undeveloped and small*
Jenna: *nods at Sephiroth* Yes, I gave him some chewed up meat today. He seemed to really enjoy it. *frowns at Sephiroth* You’re not going to tell me that I shouldn’t be feeding him that type of food again, are you?
Jennah: *continues to give Seph a poignant glare. However, now the glare is a bit more agressive in nature since Jennah is restraining her anger toward Seph’s protests and unwillingness to do as she asks* No, Seph. The boy needs someone to show him what to do. You shall bring him along and he will accompany you for as long as it takes for all of your tricks and tips to pass on to him. *snorts at him* If you argue more, I will remove your sword for two weeks.
Zack: *sighs* *”You might like lessons though. I loved learning about the biological sciences, and natural history. Then Halcyon had a lot of dragon and dinosaur information and I fell in love when I read the books. That was one of the reasons I wanted a dragon of my own – I found a baby one but mother let it go again, and then later she gave me your egg. Medical science also fascinates me. You might not like the idea of learning but if you like something, learn all you can.”*
Sephiroth: *moves his arms around Chimera to hold him securely, not wanting him to fall* No, I am not going to tell you not to feed it to him. He is part cat and dragon and they are pure carnivores. I just would suggest putting raw meat through a blender for convenience.
Seph: *narrows his eyes at Jennah, clearly annoyed at the fact she’s not backing down on his defiant attempt with her* Phooey… I won’t do it. *turns his head away from her and loudly snorts* I’m going hunting on my own. Let Ramiel sleep.
Xelong: *frowns and shakes his head* ~No, I do not want to learn biology. That sort of stuff is for humans. I am quite content with being and expert on hunting and taking down food. That is the sort of stuff that a dragon needs to know.. That and magic. We are supposed to know a lot about magic when we’re older.~
Chimera: *chirps and looks back at Seph’s hands. He flaps his wings a bit, confused as to why Sephy is surrounding him. Still, he continues to purr. Then, he looks up at Sephy and reaches up in an attempt to bat Seph’s hair*
Jenna: *Snorts* You can use a blender when you feed him. But I shall mince the meat in my manner. *crosses her arms* Why is it a problem for you when that is the way I want to do it?
Jennah: *scowls then grabs Sephiroth’s shoulder and shoves him back into the room* No, you are not. *casts a spell to restrict Seph from leaving Ramiel much farther than 5 meters* I am very disappointed in you, Seph. But you are forcing me to raise my hand to your defiance.
Zack: *”Ah Xel… learn what you want to. I’m just saying that if you find something interesting, learn as much as you can. You might not like learning to read and write, but they form the basis of our language and you’ll need them later. Then you can learn anything you desire. I know I’d help you find what you want as much as I can.”*
Sephiroth: I didn’t say it was a problem. I am not disputing what you have chosen to do. I merely suggested a more convenient way to do it, nothing mere. *smirks at Chimera’s attempts to bat his hair*
Seph: *growls as he’s forced back into the room. He pulls against the proximity spell and hisses as he twangs its end, then sits down on the bed* How long is this going to stay on for? What happens if one of us wants to do something else?
Xelong: *leans agasint Holly’s side and hugs her* ‘oll-ee. Zah say I shoul stuh-ee hum-ah sub-hecs. *frowns and shakes his head* ~Do you think I should take his advice? I don’t want to learn things that humans know. It’s not important for me to read and write.~
Jenna: Good. I don’t want to have another fight about my methods of feeding the boy. When it’s your turn, you can use a food processor and other human tools as much as you want. *glances down at Chimera* Well, you finally have proof that the boy doesn’t sleep all the time.
Chimera: *tries to jump up a bit so he can bat at Seph’s bangs. Luckily, his claws are underdeveloped and soft, so he can’t scratch Sephy that well if he misses*
Jennah: *Scowls at Sephiroth* Well, I’ll remove right here and now if you sincerely promise to do as I am asking you to do. If not, then I shall keep my punishment in place for as long as it takes, Seph. *shakes her head at him* I am not going to take your insolence towards my request.
Holly: *frowns* You don’t want to learn how to read and write? How are you going to write down information, or read things like signs, or warnings? I think it’s important to be able to read. You should learn how, for your safety. It doesn’t take that long to learn. I’m going to teach Mei how to soon, if you’re interested.
Sephiroth: *moves his hands away but carefully watches Chimera should he look like he is going to fall off* Indeed, it would seem that way. Though I still say he sleeps a lot. But this is an obvious statement to make.
Seph: *grunts in annoyance* Very well, I’ll take him with me. I’ll take him to hunt next time he wakes up. But if he holds me back… *grumbles* You know he scares away the food, mother.
Xelong: *Stares at Holly for a few moments. At first, his expression is blank because he doesn’t know how to properly express his feelings, but eventually, he forms a small frown. However, this is far from the pouting sensation that Zack and Holly would receive from Xel’s psychic transmission* ~But… Alright, fine. I’ll learn how to read and write. But it’ll be boring.~
Chimera: *flaps his wings a bit as he continues jumping up in an attempt to whack Sephy’s bangs. After a few attempts, he stumbles on his landing and begins to fall backwards*
Jenna: A lot of infants and young children sleep throughout the majority of the day, Seph. It’s not that uncommon. *Shrugs* I don’t see any problem here.
Jennah: *scowls at Seph* You weren’t exactly the stealth predator at his age either, Seph. Don’t you remember the number of times I scolded you for making too much noise? You just need to be patient and actually show him what he’s doing wrong. *removes her spell on Seph* Now, if I find that you left him behind, I will severly punish you.
Sephiroth: I’m not complaining about it, it is just idle observation. *quickly reaches forwards to catch Chimera, holding him securely so he doesn’t fall. He then picks him up and sets him down on the bed* Or would you prefer I not speak of it?
Seph: *snorts in frustration* Very well, and acknowledged mother. Now, Ramiel is asleep, so I am going outside anyway. If he wakes up, tell me, I’ll come back for him. Until then, I want to be outside. *gets to his feet and heads for the door*
Holly: It’s boring but it’s worth it, trust me. If you can get smart, you can do lots of great things. You don’t want to end up thinking you can’t do anything and end up as hopeless as I was before I met Zack…
Chimera: *mewls at Sephy as he’s caught and set down on the bed. However, the boy doesn’t go into a tantrum, instead, he shuffles over to Sephy’s side and snuggles up against his leg. After another moment, he yawns and begins to drift back asleep*
Jenna: *shakes her head* No, it’s alright for you to point it out, Seph. I just thought that you were complaining about it with the amount of times you brought it up. *smirks* Looks like he’s tired out now.
Jennah: Very well, Seph. Do not forget what I told you. *shakes her head at her eldest son then sits down on the bed. She reaches down to pat Ramiel’s back then grins at him* You only need some guidance, that’s all…
Xelong: *silently seethes at Holly’s words, the frown remaining on his lips* ~I would never be taken advantage of like that. No one would dare try to force a dragon into hopelessness then slavery. I’d only torch them with my fire then gobble them up!~
Sephiroth: I am not always complaining about everything. *slightly frowns* I am not that sensitive about every situation. *glances down at Chimera and slowly shakes his head, chuckling* He tires out very quickly.
Holly: *smiles at Xelong’s response, but looks kind of sad* Yes, Xelong. But not everybody is that strong. Look, if you don’t want to read, you’ll find something you’ll want to do. Maybe not right away, but you should learn all you can.
Seph: *wanders out into the wilderness and flies into the air, immediately becoming suspicious as he sees the huge transport boats come closer towards the small continent* *”Mother, something is very wrong here…”*
