Sephiroth: *turns his head towards the door and loudly snorts* Hmph… *slowly shakes his head* Is there any way that examination can be skipped? I can assure you for a fact that nobody in my living space has lice of any kind. *scowls* We are not a mob of unhygenic animals.
Seres: *begins to bang against the door, intending to break it down in order to get out. Finally, she barges out of the room and dashes back to where she left Sephiroth* ~That woman was trying to molest me!~
Noemi: *cocks her eyebrow at the scene then looks over at General Sephiroth* I shall leave this up to you, General. I is you who is in charge of things on the ground afterall.
General Seph: *scowls in annoyance* The medical department won’t be very happy with an incomplete examination… *slowly shakes his head* If the female can’t even tolerate a simple exam, then leave. *snorts*
Sephiroth: *narrows his eyes at Gen Sephy* You’re going to ignore the entire application based on that? *sighs at Seres* *”You probably shouldn’t have done that you know.”*
Physician: *promptly runs up the hall after Seres, calling out to her* Wait, come back! There’s still more things to do!
Seres: *growls at the Physician then stands up straight and glares at General Sephiroth* I will not be molested by that woman any longer. She wants me to pull down my pants so that she can look at my nether regions. I refuse to let her touch that area. *narrows her eyes* If you want proof that I will always be perfectly healthy here. *locks her eyes on the General’s gun then teleports it into her hand. Then, she presses it against her temple and shoots herself in the head before anyone could stop her. This creates a rather large mess of blood on the floor in General Sephiroth’s room as Seres’s body slumps down. However, she only remains dead for a minute at most. Soon, she gets back up then glares at General Sephiroth* There, can any of your soldiers do that?
Noemi: *simply stares at the scene, uncertain of what to make of it. For the moment, she is completely speeachless. As Seres stands up again, her brow furrows and she looks into Sephiroth’s eyes, trying to find some sort of explanation*
General Seph: *is about to open his mouth to object when Seres fires the gun on herself. He gets to his feet, staring at her, seeming genuinely shocked. He just continues to stare at her as her body heals up and she stands up again* How did you–*grunts and shakes his head* You left a mess on the floor of my office…
Sephiroth: *catches Noemi’s gaze and glances back at her* She’s immortal. She has an immortality bond in place with her fraternal twin.
Zack: *enters the room again, carrying two half empty soda cans, one in each hand. He glances down at the blood, then checks people in the room, looking for injuries* What just happened? I heard a gun going off…
Seres: *scowls at the lack of actual response from General Sephiroth* Oh, for fuck’s sake. Yes, the floor is a bit dirty. That happens when you blow out your brains. *grunts then casts a spell to clean up the blood stains* There, are you happy now? Can I not strip for this perverted female here. *points back to the Physician* I’m not having her grope through my nether regions for parasites.
Noemi: *deeply frowns at Sephiroth’s statement* ~Well, what do you make out of this development, General. I honetsly don’t know what to think of this at all. I thought the stories about them being immortal in those journals were fabrications of this Sephiroth’s imagination..~ *looks over at Zack* Your commerade here- *points to Seres* Just shot herself in the head.
Zack: Oh? *glances at Seres, not seeming terribly fazed by the news. He shrugs his shoulders slightly and sits down in one of the free chairs, sipping his soda cans* That happens sometimes. Usually when she gets injured enough to start again. It’s like pressing the reset button.
General Seph: *sits down again and composes himself once more, frowning* Very well, give me the physician’s notes. *takes the clipboard from her* You may leave now. *flips through the papers and grunts* Stop for one second. *hands the clipboard back to her* Go get the rest of these medications for her to take. *looks up at Seres* Do not be concerned, these are all oral and can be swallowed with water. After that, you shall be approved and we shall send up somebody to guide you through the induction process.
Seres: *Frowns at General Sephiroth’s words but slowly nods and moves to follow the physician. She gives the woman an agressive glare though, not wanting her anywhere near her* ~I didn’t screw things up by killing myself like that, did I, Father? I hope you didn’t want to keep it a secret from them… I’m sorry if I messed up.~
Noemi: “Reset button”? Please, tell me what exactly you mean by that. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of such a thing on a living being. *glances down at the notes in the General’s hands as he’s reading through them* ~So, what do you think of all of this? You didn’t answer me before.~
Sephiroth: *”Whether you did or not, it is too late now. I just hope that they do not treat you differently because of it, or make you do something especially dangerous. I am guessing they would have already known about your abilities, or would soon question what you know.”* *calmly states to Noemi* It’s an immortality bond. She is bound via a link to her fraternal twin brother.
General Seph: *frowns* *”I dont know what to think. I want to know how they’re doing it. Did you sense any use of magic spells? They could be fooling us. A barrier spell may have been put in place, and she may have faked being shot. “*
Seres: ~I’m not afraid of dangerous tasks, Father. I would go and do things like that immortality bond or not. It’d be boring to always walk on the safe side of things.~ *slowly shakes her head* ~Do they know about your immortality, Father?~
Noemi: *scowls at Sephy* Yes, you just said that. I do not need to hear things twice. *snorts* But please explain to me what this “immortality bond” is. How many memebers of your family have them? *deeply frowns at General Sephy’s inquiries* ~I didn’t sense a single spell in action at all. Even then, the amount of damage that was made by that gun shot was too real to be a simple illusion.~
Sephiroth: *grunts* Enough of them have immortality bonds to warrant their safety. That is all I will tell you. *”No, I do not think they know I have one. I’m not going to do much to inform them of mine either. If they don’t know, it won’t bother them.”*
Noemi: *Frowns in thought as she considers Sephiroth’s words* I see. Thank you for telling us this. Now, please escort your daughter to the waiting room so she can receive the medicine that the General wants her to take. *waves Sephiroth off then looks down at General Sephy* ~Any opinions on a course of action that we should take? Or should we taken none and just watch what develops?~
Seres: ~Yes, I suppose that’s true. Though they’ll probably ask how to become immortal, won’t they..~ *deeply sighs at the mention of medicine and slowly nods before turning around to step outside* Come on, Zack. Let’s go.
Sephiroth: *silently nods his head and moves off the wall, following Seres*
Zack: Huh? Oh, you want me to come to make sure they don’t do anything funny to you? *gets to his feet to follow*
Physician: *tries leading Seres back to the room* This way please… *sighs and mumbles to herself, just wanting to be finished with Seres so that she doesn’t have to deal with the girl any more*
General Seph: *”Yes, take no action. I want to see how this develops. It might end up more interesting than it looks.”*
Seres: *scowls as she follows the physician, particularly hating the woman at the moment* ~Father, can’t we just kill her and say that I took the medicine? I really, really, really dont’ want to do anything else that stupid woman says anymore. She forced me to have a stupid shot. She made me take off my shirt for her. Then, she wanted me to strip off my pants as well. I reallly hate her.~ *looks back at Zack* No, I just think you shouldn’t be an idiot and wait around all day in those two’s office. They’re likely to get cranky with you.
Noemi: ~Hm? What exactly is it that is going through your mind, General?~ *moves behind the man as the others leave and begins to massage his shoulders and lower neck*
Zack: Oh, right… *follows the physician into the private examination room and immediately heads for the cabinets on the walls containing various vials of innoculations, curious to know what’s in them*
Sephiroth: *”No, you cannot kill her. I had to receive this same treatment before I joined the army. She’s not trying to be perverted. She is just doing her job.”*
Physician: *to Zack* Don’t touch anything. *reaches into one of the drawers and takes out two bottles of pills* Now, you will need to take one of each of these with water. And then you’re done. *walks over to the water cooler, filling up a paper cup before handing everything to her*
Seres: *Scowls at the medication but swipes it out of the physicians hands and quickly takes them. She cringes at the feel of the pills going down her throat and coughs a bit once they’re down, but she is quite content once the job is finished* There, are you happy now? You’re not going to prod and poke me even more, are you? *scowls even more at the thought* ~They had you completely strip down for them? That is just plain rude. They have no right looking around my vagina.~
Sephiroth: *”As intrusive as it sounds, they’re just screening you for pubic lice. I believe they do that to every recruit because you are going to be in a very communal environment, sometimes you will end up very close to others. It is just to prevent outbreaks. Some recruits who joined the army in my youth came from relatively poor homes, and then there were some males who were very bad with their hygiene. It seems an insult – I know, I hated it too. But it is a necessary evil because of those few unhygienic idiots.”*
Physician: *sighs at Seres* No, I’m not. Jots down one or two final notes on her clipboard, then tears off the top two layers of the forms she was filling out for Seres, then folds them up and hands them to her* Take this back to the General for him to read and sign. Then you will be escorted to your new area.
Zack: *glances back at the physician, noticing she’s distracted. He reaches into the vaccinations cabinet and begins stealing as much of the serums as he can without being noticed*
Seres: ~I still hate her. She was completely rude and didn’t respect me or my personal space at all. Can’t she tell by looking at me and knowing that you are my father that I don’t come from a poor nor unhygenic family.~ *loudly snorts then snatches the papers from the physician* Thank you. I’ll make certain he signs it. *glances at the paper then at Sephy* ~Father, is your handwriting different from that other Sephiroth’s?~
Sephiroth: *”Whether you like it or not, it’s necessary for them to be satisfied. They’re idiots and they don’t trust your word, but there is not much you can do about it. As for my handwriting, I do not think it is terribly different. But if you want me to sign your papers, forget it. They wanted you to come here, me signing your paperwork for you would nullify the exact reason we had to come here. If you want to get into the army, you have to play by their rules. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t even bother with any of this stupidity.”*
Seres: *frowns* ~I don’t like that other Sephiroth. He’s stuck-up and thinks he knows what’s best for our planet even though he doesn’t belong here. You deserve to be fully in charge of the army, Father.~ *depite her complaints, she still walks into General Sephy’s room and sets the papers down on his desk* I was told that you need to sign these. *Glances back* ~Father, where did Zack go?~
Sephiroth: *”I am in charge. Though I told you before, I can’t authorise your entry to the army because they’re claiming my opinion of your being a viable candidate for it is biased.”* *glances back down the corridor* *”As for Zack, he’s coming.”* *raises an eyebrow* *”He’s been up to something though. He looks paticularly guilty about something.”*
General Seph: Take a seat. *takes the papers and glances down at them again, picking up a pen so he can write his own comments on the papers*
Zack: *smirks as he heads back into the office area* What?
Seres: *crosses her arms and takes a seat as requested* So, that’s it, right? I’m in now and I can go join the other new recruits already? ~Well, that is complete bullshit. They should understand that you are a serious being and don’t make decicions on the fly or with bias. I’ve not once seen you give any of us preference simply because we’re your children.~
Noemi: *looks over General Sephiroth’s shoulder, curious as to what he’s writing. However, she breaks off from this activity for a brief time when she notices Zack’s entrance. She studies the clone for a bit, lifting up her left eyebrow finding his behavior strange. Still, she chooses to ignore the man and continue reading the General’s notes*
General Seph: *writes a few comments about Seres’ immortality and adds a few comments about how it would be suited to very dangerous missions, including bombings or using fighter jets. He nods his head* Just go down the corridor. Your father can show you to the area where you will begin your new life. *looks up at him* Show her to her dorm. She’s been placed in with another new recruit who got here four days ago. *grunts at Seres* Be kind to her, her circumstances are special.
Sephiroth: *scowls at the order, but nudges Seres on the shoulder* I’ll show you the way there. *glares at General Sephy before he heads out*
Zack: *grins and follows them*
Seres: *Frowns and mumbles under her breath* Why have me sit down just to have me stand back up? *shakes her head and gets to her feet before following Sephiroth out of the office* Father, do you know what they mean by my roommate having special circumstances? She can’t be another member of our family, so what are they talking about. *looks over at Zack* And what the fuck are you smiling over, Zack?
Noemi: Are you certain that it is a brilliant idea to have that girl slotted to perform suicide missions? She may catch on to the fact that we are sacrificing her for her abilities and revolt, General. *deeply frowns in thought* Do you regret the fact that we left our children behind?
Zack: *”Oh, no reason really. I just stole a whole lot of vaccines we needed for the house. And some of them were really good quality too, better than the stuff I got from the Medical Center in Mideel. I can either sell them there, or use them on our family.”*
Sephiroth: I don’t know a thing about this new recruit, I authorize so many to be inducted, their exact details escape me. I would have to find out her number and look it up to tell you of her history. Or, you could always ask her yourself. *pushes open the door to leave the administration area, walking up the hallway, heading for the elevator* These dorms up here are for the higher ranked people. You will get your own room once you work your way up.
General Seph: If she is anything like us, she would enjoy a challenge. We will need to examine the true extent of her abilities, but I do not think there will be too much of a problem there.
