General Sephiroth: *”No, I just do not want to see any bias occuring here.”* *glances over at Seres and Sephy, motioning to the seats in front of his desk* Please, take a seat. We will not be here long, but I still want you to feel comfortable. *nods his head and picks up Seres’s application again*
Zack: *frowns* This place smells funny. *takes the end seat closest to the door*
Sephiroth: I do not need to sit down. *leans against the wall and folds his arms* Say what you want to say. You got us here, now speak.
Seres: *crosses her arms and remains standing next to Sephiroth* Yea, just get this over with. I can answer any of your questions while standing. I’ve been sitting all throughout my plane ride here. *unlike Sephy, she remains upright and doesn’t bother leaning against the wall*
Noemi: ~Well, well, well. Seems like what they say is correctly. Children take after their parents.~ *allows herself a small grin and shakes her head*
General Seph: *”It would seem that way. She certainly has the same attitude.”* *leans forward in his chair, grinning slightly* Ah, now… *glances down at his papers* Seres. Can you explain your reasoning for wishing to join the army at your age? Normally we only accept applicants between the ages of 13 and 17 years.
Seres: *cocks her eyebrow at General Sephiroth* Why I am joining at my age? You make that sound like I’m a feeble old woman. *snorts* I’m only just turning 19 in a month. *shakes her head* I didn’t want to make my father worry about me when I was younger, so I waited to express my interest. I also had siblings to help out before. *scowls in irritation* And my mother is used to people joining the military at 18. What does it matter that I waited a few miniscule years?
General Seph: *folds his arms* I noticed here that you did not fill out any current medical conditions. *looks up at her curiously* Are you aware that lying on an application can mean your expulsion? You will receive a full medical exam in half an hour. Is that understood?
Sephiroth: *loudly snorts at him* What the hell do you think is wrong with her? She’s healthy and fine.
Seres: Hm? But I’ve not seen a doctor since… Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a doctor, sir. *shakes her head* There is no lie there because there is no history to be had. *indifferently shrugs* But if you really must have a physical done on me, fine. Though I can easily prove to you how healthy I am.
General Seph: *nods his head and leans back in his seat once again* Ah, very good. *picks up her faxed application and continues reading* That might have to be done anyway, seeing as though you have not even listed your own blood type. *narrows his eyes slightly* Or do you just not know it? Also, you have no birth record available.
Sephiroth: *grunts sharply* I don’t see the point in owning a piece of paper for that anyway. She was born on Halcyon, and the island does not exactly have any need to keep records of whom is born and who dies.
Seres: Excuse me, sir, but you appear to be the same genetic structure as my father. Does your blood type register on any of the machines? Because my father’s doesn’t and my mother refuses to get tested. *shakes her head* As my father stated, I was born outside of human society. For that reason, there was no one around to document my birth aside from my parents and Centra. I’m certain we can provide unchangable video logs of the events if you need proof.
General Seph: *narrows his eyes* Centra? How do you know about tha-*stops himself, loudly hissing* *”It appears this planet has its own Centra as well, Noemi.”* *loudly clears his throat* I’ve had my blood type tested. It contains proteins that are not normally found, but I can assure you that it can be classified. And so can your own. I do not think it will pose a problem. *folds his arms* I don’t need to see video footage proof of your birth. I think it is quite safe to say that you were indeed born.
Seres: Then please tell me, what is your blood type. Father’s official papers say “Unknown” and no one ever once gave him problems about that. Thus, I think you are persecuting me simply because my Father was the greatest general in his time. *scowls* If that is so, we can take you down for all your two are worth.
Noemi: ~Yes, I heard as well as you did, General. That doesn’t surprise me all that much. Afterall, there are versions of you and me here.~
General Seph: Now that information is really none of your business, now is it. *folds his arms and narrows his eyes* And your hollow threats do not bother me. I am not persecuting you. This is merely a screening interview to judge your character. *smirks* I suppose you want to know how you’re scoring?
Seres: Well, if you are claiming that you have a documented Blood Type while my father’s is still documented as Unkown, then you should tell us. *crosses her arms* Maybe it would be of assistance to my father for him to know what his blood type is, hm? *scowls* I don’t give a damn about your score. I know you’re retired and don’t have any authority here. You retired when you gave my father your old position.
General Seph: I am not retired, and I do have authority here. *grunts at her* The position of managing the army has been partially handed over to this one, yes. *motions toward Sephy with his hand* But a lot of the decisions are still looked over by the Captain and myself here. *taps a pen on the desk, continuing to read over Seres’s application* Now, is there any specific job you want to undertake here?
Seres: Any specific positon..? *shrugs* Any that isn’t a grunt poition. *broadly smirks* Maybe I’ll take your position one day. What does it matter at the moment? I haven’t even begun training, aside from what my father gave me throughout all my childhood. *scowls* And if you want to question that, I sent in several video tapes of me fighting with Cloud Strife and beating him to a pulp. *triumphantly grins at the memories*
General Seph: *tiredly sighs* Yes, I’m sure the video footage has been reviewed over, otherwise you would not be sitting at our desk right now. *folds his arms* Well, I am satisfied that you are genuine. Noemi, what do you think?
Zack: *his head leans back in his chair as he has fallen asleep. He begins to make soft snoring noises*
Seres: Huh? You’re staisfied? Just like tha- *pauses as she hears Zack’s loud snoring and glares back at him* Father, can you kick Zack for me. *grunts in a similar manner as what Sephy usually does* Such an idiotic dick-head…
Noemi: ~Hm, well, I must admit that was the most interesting interview I’ve ever witnessed. Either you’re getting soft at this, or you were just doing this for show, General.~
General Sephiroth: *”This is not just for show purposes, Noemi. I just want them to understand and acknowledge that we run this place regardless of Sephiroth’s rank here. That, and I wanted to see what his offspring is truly like. Her personality is certainly interesting.”* Yes, just like that. I will call the doctor and she will examine you now.
Sephiroth: With pleasure. *smirks in amusement and kicks Zack’s chair as hard as he can, causing it to jolt quite violently*
Zack: *jumps as his chair moves violently, quite startled by the sudden movement. He snorts as he jerks upright, coughing loudly* What the heck was that?
Seres: *continues to glare at Zack* You were fucking asleep, Zack. Your snores were irritating everyone. God, can’t you ever keep focus. *snorts then turns her attention back to General Sephiroth* So.. you were serious about the doctor. *frowns faintly. Having heard so many bad stories about doctors from her father, she is a bit on the fearful side toward them herself* Can’t you just see that I’m healthy… *pleadingly looks at Sephiroth*
Noemi: ~I suppose you are right there, General. I wonder though, what do you think of her personality? Are you trying to figure out what your own children are like through her?~
Sephiroth: *sighs at her and shakes his head slightly, looking back at her in the eyes* *”Unfortunately I can’t do much… they can throw your application right out the window. If it were up to me, you’d be in the damn army already. A physical exam is a little humiliating, but not invasive. They mostly do it to check your health, they don’t exactly want infectious or sickly people in their ranks. About the most they will probably do is ask you to take off your clothing and inspect you for lice.”* *scowls and looks up at General Seph* I can assure you she is healthy. Is such an exam really necessary? *snorts*
General Seph: *”Partly that. I am more interested in seeing how aggressive she is though. If she is anything like her parents, she will make a good fighter.”* *shakes his head at Sephy and Seres* No, the physical exam is necessary, and an entry requirement. It does not take very long at all.
Zack: *sits up in the chair and wipes drool off the side of his face* Geez, sorry… *folds his arms and yawns*
Seres: *bites the bottom of her lip before focussing on Zack* Zack.. Zack was supposed to send in my physical earlier. He’s a doctor. *points to Zack in an accusing way* Where is it, Zack? *still doesn’t want to go see some doctor, fearing that she’ll be scrutinzed like Sephy was in his youth* Give it to them so I don’t have to do it all over again.
Noemi: ~Well, I think it’s safe to say that she’s at least like her father. I do not know much about her mother though. From what I’ve gathered, her mother prefers to keep a low profile. And somehow, I have a feeling that this Sephiroth overexagerated things when he was writing them down in his journals.~
Zack: What..? *sleepily looks back at her* Are you crazy? I don’t remember doing anything like that. And yuck, why would I? I don’t think that’s something somebody like me should be doing anyway.
General Seph: *”Overexaggerated things? Such as? I need to actually read those accounts he keeps.”* A physical examination report from this one, *waves a hand to Zack* Would be null and void for the same reasons we are screening you right now. Bias and favouritism is not an option here. Stop being so concerned and just do it. *presses a button on his desk and folds his arms*
Seres: What, but… *frowns and pouts* ~Damn it, Zack. You shouldn’t have said that. You should have told them that you did it then mocked up something… Now I’m going to have to suffer through some dumb idiot looking over me.. prodding me… violating me..~ *moves closer to Sephiroth then speaks to him* ~Isn’t there anything at all you can do? I really don’t want to do this…~
Noemi: ~Well, I don’t know any specifics, but sometime when he wrote about her, he makes it sound like she’s some sort of god. Let’s see…~ *thinks for a moment before sending impressions of what she can remember about the books to Gen. Sephy*
Zack: *”Hey, don’t blame me! You shoulda planned that out earlier! You seriously should have come to me, I would have written up a mock report for you. But we can’t do that now, can we.”* *sighs, then loudly coughs* I am a qualified doctor. Let me perform the physical exam. All we need is a private room and a doctor’s office.
General Seph: *snorts* Where’s your qualification papers? *”Yes, that has to be overexagerated. Nobody is a god. The concept alone is ridiculous.”*
Seres: ~I did. Don’t you remember? Weeks ago when I first got my paperwork to fill out and before you disappeared, I asked you to do some tests to find my blood type and then to perform the needed physical on this application. We forgot about it because you vanished!~ *softly growls and clenches her fists, annoyed that she’s stuck in this situation*
Noemi: ~I’m certain that he knows that she isn’t a god. But her abilities that were documented there were considerably more than anything that I am capable of. I don’t know what it is that’s about her, but it can’t be all true.~
General Seph: *”We could always try to raid the other Sephiroth’s neural implants to get at his memories, but I am sure they would probably be as skewed as the documented accounts in his journals.”* *grunts at Zack’s comment, giving Noemi a wary glance* *”Would you really trust that bumbling clone to do a physical examination on the new recruit?”*
Zack: *”Well hey, calm down. I’m trying to get it resolved now.”*
