Cael: *whines as Sephiroth leaves her side* No. Stay! *reaches out for Sephy, doing her best to look pathetic and in need of company* Pwease…
Xelong: *stares at Zack, paying close attention to what he’s doing. Eventually, after a few moments, he opens his mouth and attempts to mimic the noise that Zack just made* Zzzeh- ong.
Jenna: *chuckles at Iris’s request* They just wouldn’t understand at this stage in their development, Iris. *continues to massage the back of the girl’s head* This is just a phase that they’re going through. Eventually, they’ll grow out of it and start behaving properly. You’ll see. You just need to be patient.
Sephiroth: *glances back at her* If you want to stay with me, you’re going to have to get up for the day. I have things to do – I can’t sit around here and stay with you while you go back to sleep.
Zack: That’s a good try. Try again if you want. Say Zel-on’g. *grins at him* If you’re really interested in speech, I can hire a speech therapist to teach you properly if you want.
Iris: *sighs, calming down a bit* *”They know they’re being selfish jerks though… you should be able to punish them for it.”*
Cael: *frowns for a moment then slowly nods and climbs out of the bed. Once on her feet, she tottles over to Sephy’s side and hugs him* Wanna be wit you! *tightly hugs onto his leg*
Xelong: Eeh–on… *closes his mouth, not quite getting the fact that he needs to move his toungue and lips in order to make speach noises. He looks up at Zack as he suggests a speach thearapist and nods* ~Yes, that may be useful… but will they think I’m an idiot?~
Jenna: *shakes her head at Iris* You’ll understand when you have children of your own, Iris. *moves her hand down to massage the girl’s neck* Teenagers tend to be handfuls as well. *smirks* And you’re just about to become a teenager.
Sephiroth: *smirks in amusement* Then follow me out of this room, alright? *grunts at Orion* You too. Unless, you’d rather sleep alone there.
Zack: Hell no. If I make something up, they’ll understand it perfectly. Or, I could tell one of them you were a dragon and you’ve morphed yourself into a person. An ordinary speech therapist wouldn’t buy that, but I could always bribe them.
Iris: But… I’m not going to be a handful! I’m quiet and I do what I’m told. This isn’t fair.
Cael: *nods at Sephiroth* Will come. *looks down at herself* Nee ta get dress? Oh, can stay lie thes?
Xelong: *lowers his head* ~That wouldn’t be a good thing to tell a human… I guess it won’t be a bad thing for them to assume I’m stupid. Then, they’ll be pretty thorough, right?~ *Frowns in thought* ~I shouldn’t speak to average humans like this, right?~
Jenna: *softly chuckles at Iris* Yes, that is what you are. But not everyone is perfectly behaved like you. We can’t force them all to behave like you do. But we punish them when they cross the line. You know that.
Sephiroth: *nods* Yes, get changed into some day clothing if you wish. You can help me in the kitchen area. There is a large pile of sliced fruit that needs to be eaten, perhaps you can help? *smirks with amusement to himself*
Zack: No, don’t talk to a regular human like that. At first it will freak them out. If you’re not careful, you’ll give the weaker ones a really bad headache.
Iris: *moves back from Jenna and folds her arms, lowering her head so her horns are bared* That’s rotten. I’d punish them if you’d let me.
Cael: *nods at Sephiroth* Yes, will help. *lets go of him then tottles over to her dresser. She takes a moment to pull open a drawer then begins to dig through her clothes. Finally, she pulls out a light blue sweatsuit then looks up at Sephy* Thes good?
Xelong: *slowly nods* ~I shall remember that then. I don’t want to hurt someone just by speaking to them.~
Jenna: *shakes her head at Iris then gently grips onto her arm and tries to guide her back to the hosue* Sephiroth is taking care of the triplets as we speak, girl. If he thinks that they should be punished, he’ll do such.
Sephiroth: *slowly nods his head* Do you know how to put it on properly, or do you still need help with doing that? *grunts and pokes Orion* Wake up, young male.
Orion: *whimpers and finally sits up, yawning. He rubs his eyes and toddles out of the room, wanting to find his brother*
Zack: You’d more likely freak them out, but yeah, don’t do it unless you have to. I’ll take you to a speech therapist over the next week, they’d easily be able to help you. You already know the words and how they sound, so you’re more than halfway there. *grins at him* You’ll do just fine.
Iris: Good… *sighs and allows herself to be led back towards the house* Because I don’t like it when they’re mean and loud and chaotic. They’re not very nice to be around when they’re like that.
Cael: *nods at Sephiroth* Yea! *grabs the pants and begins trying to put them on backwards. She clearly doesn’t know that much about dressing herself yet*
Xelong: *nods at Zack* ~I hope that you are right. I do not want to be tormented by a teacher for not doing things to their liking because I am not a human by nature. ~ *looks out at the forest* ~Squeak, are you done out there yet? You’ve been gone for quite some time.~
Jenna: All of us in this family have some quirks, Iris. You should know that by now. *glances down at her* You have no problems dealing with Kether when he’s having one of his bad days afterall.
Sephiroth: *sighs and walks over to Cael, taking the pants from her. Then he pulls her current ones down and off her, holding her steady so she doesn’t fall over. Then he holds out the pants for her to step into properly* Just go slowly, else you will fall over.
Aeris: *”Yeah, I’m fine. I’m trying to pounce a dappled baby deer. But it keeps moving into my blind side.”*
Iris: Kether is at least easier to understand. He doesn’t act like a screaming baby when something doesn’t go his way.
Cael: *stares at Sephiroth as he approaches her in order to help her out, confused at first. Once she realizes that she must have done something wrong, she nods then slowly steps into the pants as Sephiroth instructs her to* Lie thes?
Xelong: *deeply frowns at what Aeris tells him then sends her his best explanation on how to see with psychic abilities* ~Try doing that. It may take you a bit to get used to having a three-hundred-and-sixty degree vision range, but it’ll help you reduce those blind spots.~
Jenna: Not anymore, Iris. But a few years ago, he did. *looks down at Iris* Anyway, the triplets are still what is classified as “babies” in human culture. *stops at the porch and stares at Zack and Xelong* What are you two doing out here?
Sephiroth: *nods his head* Yes, like that. Very good. *pulls the pants up on her properly once she has stepped both feet into the pants* That’s good enough. *sits up a bit to fumble through another clothing drawer, looking for a t-shirt for her to wear* Take that old shirt off.
Aeris: *”I’ll try that out… thank you very much.”*
Zack: Huh? *looks up as Jenna speaks to him* Us? We’re just chillin’ on the steps here, eating pancakes. Xel wanted to come outside. And Aeris is hunting out there somewhere.
Iris: Babies? Phh, they’re smarter and more developed than that. They should know better, mother. Even you’d have to agree that they’re more mentally mature than other kids their age.
Cael: *nods at Sephiroth and takes her shirt off. Once it’s off her upper body, she tosses it to the other side of the room* Lie tha? *broadly grins at him*
Xelong: ~You’re welcome, Squea- I mean, you should have known that without me telling you! You’re hopeless!~ *yawns then leans up against Zack’s side*
Jenna: I see. Well, don’t leave behind yoru plates out here. I’m not going to come out here and clean up after you boys. *looks down at Iris* Yes, they’re still babies. They’re classified as tottlers, Iris. And even if they’re smarter than most humans, that doesn’t mean that they are more emotionally mature. *shakes her head* You just need to be patient with them when they are that age.
Sephiroth: *takes another shirt out of the drawer* Yes, but next time, we put our clothes in the laundry basket rather than throwing them carelessly onto the floor. Somebody might trip over that later. Put your arms up. *holds the shirt up over her head, waiting for her to put her arms up so he can easily slip it on*
Aeris: *makes a loud huckering snicker and trecks further away from the house in her efforts to hunt. The dragon within her understands the 360° scanning easily and tries to take over*
Iris: *folds her arms and pouts* Very well mother, I’ll try my best. That doesn’t change the fact that I would want to kick their ass if they become annoying.
Zack: Yes mother. *says it just like a scolded five year old child and smirks in amusement*
Cael: No trip. *nods* Ok, where bas-et? *looks up at the shirt the lifts her hands up in order to let Sephiroth place it on her. She grins at him* On.
Xelong: ~You’d best get a really good catch now, Squeak. I won’t let you return without getting something nice and big to eat.~ *yawns, tired now that he has a full stomach. He tries to hand his plate back over to Zack*
Jenna: Well, that is not your place to decide, Iris. As I said, when you have children of your own, you can choose how to train and raise them. Until then, you need to respect the way that Sephiroth and I choose. *shakes her head at Zack and lightly kicks his butt as she passes by him* And then you can realize that males never grow up.
Sephiroth: *pulls the clothing down over her, smirking as he pulls it on properly* There, much better. *flicks some hairs off it, then gets to his feet again* Now, are you ready to help clean up?
Zack: *reaches up to take Xelong’s plate, yelping slightly as Jenna kicks his buttocks* Ouch! Hey that hurts, damnit! *grins in amusement* *”I am so getting you back later, mom.”*
Iris: *sighs at Jenna as she leaves, slowly nodding her head* Alright, mother… I don’t like it though…
Aeris: *”It’s working a bit better. I think I’ll bring home both the baby and the momma deer at the rate I’m going now.”*
Cael: *broadly grins at Sephiroth and nods* Yea, much betta! *rushes over to his leg and hugs him again* Thane you, fa-tah!. Will help clean up. *looks over at Orion* He help too?
Jenna: *smirks at Zack’s reaction to her kick* ~Oh, I highly doubt it.~ *frowns in thought then stops* ~You wanted to speak to me earlier. Please, tell me what you wanted to say then, now. I would want to get such over with here and now.~
Xelong: ~Well, don’t go getting more than you can eat, Squeak. There is no point in killing just to kill. We need to give our prey enough of a chance to repopulate so that it’d still be around when we get hungry again.~
Sephiroth: If he ever wakes up… *grunts and pulls the covers off the bed. As he discovers that Orion is not there, he glances out the doorway* Hmm, he must have already left.
Zack: *”Oh, right… um. Can it wait until I’ve finished out here with Xel? I don’t want to abandon him by himself on the steps afterall.”* *frowns* *”That wouldn’t be very fair on him afterall, now would it?”*
Aeris: *”Oh no, I never kill to kill for fun. I was just thinking that somebody else might want some. This fawn is not very much food by itself.”* *the sound of a crying animal yelling in distress can be heard. It then crashes out of the bushes, running across the open plains that the house is set on. Aeris rushes out of the bushes after it, her jaws wide open as she does her bess to catch up with it*
Cael: *scampers over to the bed and stands up on her tip toes to look. Once she sees that no one is there, she looks up at Sephiroth’s face* Where Orion go? Though he no wan ta wake..
Jenna: ~I am certain that Xelong will be fine on his own. He is much more mature than even you.~ *broadly smirks* ~Now, please, tell me what it was that you wanted to discuss earlier.~ *walks over to the couch and picks up Chimera, who had been contently sleeping* You are the least active out of all of our children… *sighs*
Xelong: *blinks and stares as he notices Aeris’s chase. Deciding that it may be best to move into a location where he can easily jump in and help Aeris, he stands up and walks away from the porch. Stopping a few feet away from the house, he stands there and carefully watches Aeris*
Sephiroth: *shakes his head* I don’t really know. *scans the area of the house* Ah, he’s wandering around in the lounge room area. He’s fine, as long as he doesn’t cause any trouble.
Aeris: *thumps past Xelong as she charges the deer, but it’s too quick for her. It makes a distressed and panicked cry as it runs off into the foilage beside the house, Aeris stops and hisses, tiny amounts of smoke curling from her nostrils* *”Stupid animal…”* *snaps her jaws in aggitation* *”I missed it…”*
Zack: *nudges Xelong’s shoulder as he gets up* I’m going inside to talk with mom. Stay around if you want. *heads inside to the area where Jenna is*
Cael: *slowly nods* Alright. Go help clean now? *reaches up to Sephiroth, wanting to be picked up* Up, please.. *makes a small pleading whimpering sound*
Xelong: *yelps as Aeris thumps past him and takes a few quick steps backwards. He frowns as he watches her failed attempt at hunting and slowly shakes his head. Then, when Zack touches him, he quickly looks up at the man and nods* ~Alright. I’ll be fine. Take as much time with Jenna as you need.~ *returns his attention to Aeris* ~Hey, do you need help? I can return to being a draogn and catch some food for you.~
Sephiroth: *sighs slightly* Very well. *reaches down to pick Cael up, lifting her up so he can set her down on his shoulder. He then walks out of the room, heading for the kitchen*
Zack: *”Right Xel, This probably will take a while…”* *frowns at Jenna* Ah, mom? You’re going to need to follow me so we’re somewhere private. Where’s a good place for you?
Aeris: *makes an angry trilling sound and raises her head up in the direction the deer fawn left in, making a loud angry noise that is halfway between a yell and a roar* *”If you want to help hunt, go ahead, but…. that deer knows where I am now. It’s too alert to be bothered with eating. It’s going to keep an eye on you if you get near it.”*
Cael: *loudly giggles as she’s set down on Seph’s shoulders and happily hugs onto his head. She nuzzles her nose against the top her his head and smiles* Thane you, Fa-tah.
Jenna: Very well. *stands up, keeping Chimera in her hands* I suppose we can meet in my bedroom if you want privacy. About the only room more secure than that is Seph’s office. *Shrugs then begins to walk up the stairs. Soon, she sits down on her bed and sets Chimera down so that the boy can continue resting in peace. Then, she watches the door, waiting for Zack to catch up*
Xelong: *shakes his head at Aeris* ~Yes, I suppose you’re right. Perhaps it’ll be best to accept food that has already been killed for today. It’d probably take you another few hours to find an animal that you can take down, Squeak.~
Zack: I don’t want to go to dad’s office. He’d complain about not being let in, then demand to know what we’re talking about. No, your room is better. *follows her into the bedroom, shutting the door behind him. He frowns as he looks down at Chimera and shakes his head* You’re going to keep him in here?
Aeris: *”Very well, but I’m hungry.”* *wanders back towards the house, her tail dragging along the ground in her dissapointment*
Sephiroth: *walks into the kitchen, then tries to pick Cael up so he can set her down in a nearby seat* There you go. You can help clean up the excess fruit now.
Jenna: *crosses her arms at Zack* Is there a problem with that? The child is far from old enough to understand spoken words and would not have the slightest idea of what you’re saying, even if he were awake. *shakes her head* And since when did you start calling Seph “dad”. I thought you didn’t like him enough to do such.
Xelong: ~I bet you are..~ *looks up at the sky for a moment then grins* ~Wait out here, Squeak. I’ll be right back.~ *walks back into the house and soon enters the guest bedroom where Jennah and Seph are. He knocks on the door* ~Hello? May I ask a favor of you two?~
Cael: *giggles as Sephiroth picks her up again, delighted by his stregnth. Once on the chair, she energeticly nods* Clean, yes! *stands up on the chair and reaches out for one of the fruits* Ummm… *groans as the fruit is just out of her reach. At most, her index finger hits the fruit over and over again*
