Noemi: *chuckles at Sephiroth* To be frank, yes, you are sounding a bit paranoid. *shakes her head at him* Trust me, they’ll be teasing you much more about your hair legnth and coloration. I suppose you’re just lucky that they did away with that crew-cut mandate for males in the military. It never did make much difference in the performance of their soldiers afterall. *reaches down to grasp onto Sephy’s left hand* I don’t think you’ll receive much mouth for rooming with a sexy female like me.
Sephiroth: *grins at her* I look forward to it. *grasps onto her hand and tries pulling her along* Now, hurry up and continue the tour. I want to know all about the facilities here. Do they feed us whenever we’re hungry or what?
Noemi: Alright, alright, Sephiroth. We’ll move on. And no, we don’t eat whenever we feel like it unless we have snack food stored in our dorms. For the most part, we have scheduled times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. *takes a sharp turn to the right then strolls into the large park/courtyard within the center of the university. The park is surrounded by a running track which is regularly used by recruits to exercise and jog* This should be self-explanitory, I hope. Most students use this area to work out or relax on their time off. *points to the northern building* That there is the cafeteria and campus store.
Sephiroth: Do you train here regularly? It looks like a long distance to run… *frowns* And it looks tiring. *glances towards the northern building* Where do you spend most of your time, Noemi? I hope some of my classes are closeby… we could have lunch together if that happened.
Noemi: *Frowns* I have a feeling that a lot of your work and classes will be out here and in the training, boot-camp area to the East. *points over to another field that is littered with obstacles and whatnot* Aside from that, I hear that there are a few classes that marines take in the northeast building. *points to the South* That building over there is the largest of the naval schools. Several of my classes will be there. *continues to point out buildings that surround the courtyard and track, giving Sephiroth brief descriptions as to what can be found in them*
Sephiroth: *slowly nods as Noemi explains the areas to him and frowns* Wait, why will I be spending most of my time out here, Noemi? Is there something wrong, or did you spend heaps of time out here when you first joined up with the army here?
Noemi: *softly chuckles at Sephiroth* Because marines are combatants, Sephiroth. How do you think you’re going to receive training in war games if you are inside in a small little room. *shakes her head* Meanwhile, Naval officers do not necessarily involve ourselves in the firefights. We do our own fighting through the cannons of our ships and whatnot, but not necessarily in the face of our foes. *shrugs* You’ll probably get more class-room courses in further years as they prepare you to be an officer as well and not just a marine.
Sephiroth: Ah that sounds more likely. *nods his head* I’d rather be fighting something with a weapon than blowing it up and flying around though… I’d imagine that’s a lot more difficult and leaves you more vulnerable to attack.
Noemi: That’s all your personal preference, Sephiroth. As for me, I am more at home at the controls to a ship, flying through the cosmos. *looks up at the sky then shrugs in an innocent manner* Maybe, it’s just the dragon blood in me that makes me want that. *coyly grins at Sephiroth* But yes, ground troops tend to be in much more danger than those on the ships. On the other hand, those on ships go down with the ship, those on the ground have the ability to run and take care of themselves if needed.
Sephiroth: *slowly nods his head* That’s right. Once the ship is gone, so is everybody on board, unless some escape by a miraculous event. But a ground soldier can care for himself or others. And they are much smaller targets than an entire transport or battle ship.
Noemi: Well, there are always escape capsules equiped on all ships. So, there is the chance of escaping when the ship is failing; however, you have to be quick. If the failure is so drastic that there only mere moments before it’s disintigrated, then the chances of escape are dramaticly reduced. *looks into Sephy’s eyes* Also, there are quite a number of captains that will rather go down with the vessel than escape. *gives Sephy a girn* However, I plan to crew the greatest ship and greatest crew ever. So, we’ll be near unbeatable.
Sephiroth: *nods* I hope you’re right. It would be sad to hear one day that you’ve died because a dragon hit and blew up your ship. You’re no good to the alliance and the war effort once you’re blown up and dead.
Noemi: *grins at Sephiroth* Well, that all depends on the cause and reason for your death. If your death is a life well spent doing something to save a battle for the war or something like that, then you will become a ralying point for the rest of the forces. *frowns* However, there are so many deaths that it is unlikely that such a heroic death will become heroic… *shrugs* Not that I’m looking forward to dying either.
Sephiroth: *slowly nods his head* That’s true. Not unless I do something worthy of note, like kill a thousand dragons in a matter of hours. And even then, yes, you’re better off alive than dead. You can’t do any more once you’re gone.
Noemi: *grins at Sephiroth* Don’t worry, dear friend. I have every intention of living forever and ever and never once leaving you alone in this world. *looks up at a clock on the cafeteria building* Hmm… It’s almost time for you to report back to the rest of your group. Shall we get moving?
Sephiroth: *frowns* Already? *sighs* Alright… *slowly moves back the way they came* I wouldn’t make a promise like that though, Noemi. Because you’re going to be on an assignment one day and I’m going to be on a different one, so we’re going to seperate frequently I’d wager.
Noemi: *softly chuckles at Sephiroth* You know what I mean, Sephiroth. Even though we were a distance away from each other, we were still able to be with each other with our abilities. The only way for me not to be with you in here- *reaches up to pat the side of his head* -is for me to die. So, I am promising you that I don’t intend to die and leave you behind to live the rest of your life alone.
Sephiroth: Oh, right… *looks a little sheepish, but nods his head* Thank you for the sentiment, Noemi. *grins slightly and heads back into the auditorium. The signups are just finishing up so they are not late in returning* Don’t you have any classes later today? They’ll probably make me start soon…. *glances around the area, looking for his supervisors* Might as well tell them about the plans you have for moving me near your dorm.
Noemi: *nods back at Sephiroth* You’re welcome. *gives him a small smile* And do not worry about today. This is the day for orientation for new students and settling in for others. The largest thing that is going to happen today is that everyone will unpack and prepare their belongings. The real lesson schedule starts tomorrow though.
Sephiroth: *slowly nods his head* Then we’d better ask about where I’m being placed first… because if I am going to unpack my stuff, its important to know where I’m going! *heads over to his supervisors and glances at Noemi* Excuse me sir, Noemi and I were wondering if I could be placed nearby her. I’ve missed her you see, and, well… *puts his hands in his pockets* I would like to request to be placed nearby my friend.
*The scientist that has accompanied Sephiroth’s group over looks interested by the suggestion and grins* I will suggest it. I dont see why not, young man. *walks away to get it arranged*
Noemi: *Grins at the affirmative from the scientist* ~Well, that was easy. I told you that there’s next to no way that those fame-thirsty scientists would deny our requests. They’re probably thinkiing of how much sex we’d have already.~ *moves to another part of the room, looking at an intricate decorative mural that has the naval icon on it as well as some symbols that are typicly associated with the navy* ~It’s a pity that Kerash couldn’t live to see you go off to the academy..~
Sephiroth: *lowers his head for a moment* *”Yeah I know… I’m going to miss her. She was brash and pushy and sometimes it seemed like she hated me, but she was honest and never withheld any truths. I liked her….”* *sighs* *looks up at the mural and the naval icon* Well, now we just wait until they get me a dormitory now, I guess…
Noemi: *nods in agreement* ~You’re right. Kerash was several things, but at least she was honest and straight with us.~ *reaches over to gently grip onto Seph’s hand* I suppose. But don’t you have an orientation meeting to go to? Usually, the head of the accademy asks to speak with all the new recruits on the first day that they arrive.
Sephiroth: *sighs* Oh yeah, that. Right… *squeezes onto her hand and glances around, heading away from Noemi to follow some of the other new recruits to one of the lecture halls* See you later then? I can’t imagine this will take too long.
*the supervisor that escorted Sephy over glances at Noemi, eyeing her with much interest. He wanders towards her and gives her a fake friendly smile* Ah! You’re the dragon female one, is it? It is good to meet you finally. *reaches out to try and shake her hand* My partner here, Doctor Edmund, is looking after four of your biological children from the hybrid-alien male at one of our new facilities. You’d be pleased to know how well they’re doing… *nods his his head* I’m happy to see you’re still interested in the male. He produces good quality DNA.
Noemi: *nods at Sephiroth and waves to him* Don’t bet on it. That old man can be quite the windbag. *smirks at Sephiroth’s direction; however, her smirk quickly vanishes as the scientist approaches her. Choosing to completely ignore the offered hand, she looks directly into the man’s eyes* Really now? So, how exactly are my children doing? *frowns at the thought of the experiments being conducted on her progeny, but doesn’t mention these sentiments*
