Sephiroth lowered his head, nodding. “I have a son. He was born with complications. When his mother was still carrying him in the womb, she was attacked and harmed within an inch of her life. She suffered blood loss and was in a coma for some weeks after the incident.” He slowly shook his head and sighed, continuing. “The child was born with mental capacities below average. And his voice was underdeveloped. He cannot make any sounds.”

He raised his head, almost pleadingly glancing at Noemi before his signature scowl covered all his expression once again. “I’ve done my research… your world is one of the most technologically advanced. He needs your help. Please… take him and make him somewhere towards normal. Repair his mind, do anything… just make him well again.”

General Sephiroth stood near the door, very unimpressed. “Silence, unmarked natural.” He hissed the words as if they were an insult, or implying inferiority.

Noemi tilted her head slightly, though her right eye twitched once again as she suppressed her mental programming. Shaking her head to clear it, she responded to Sephiroth, “Our world? You are on a station, not a planet. There are many worlds that we deal with…”

Her eyes narrwoed before she scowled and looked away. Gritting her teeth, she coldly answered, “I will refuse to take your son anywhere. If he were to be treated, they would certainly think that he is part of the project and take him.”

Sephiroth sighed, defeated. “That wasn’t on the intelligence report I was given…” He slowly shook his head. “No, world…” He scowled, pondering how best to explain. “Reality? I am from a different plane of existance. My mate made a portal here for me.”

He stood tall, brushing himself off. “But if you cannot help me, then I suppose I will have to make my own portal back…” He mumbled. “Good day.”

Noemi looked over at Sephiroth once more, surprised by his further explanation. Another reality? She had heard of hypothesis concerning these sort of things. However, she had never once seen any proof of this. Thus, she quickly moved to grab onto the leather-clad man.

“Another reality? What do you mean by that?” she demanded.

Sephiroth began to make motions with his hands. “If there is one reality, there is another where another decision was made, or another scenario existed. Somewhere, somebody made a different decision to the one made in my reality, and so there was a divergence. For every decision, a new reality exists. There are as many paralell universes as there are people that ever existed. Infinite.”

He frowned. “There is no point in continuing any of this if you cannot help me. I shall just have to continue seeking out somebody who can.”

Noemi frowned, for this Sephiroth was as stubborn as the one that she had been chosen to mate with. Fortunate for the General, she loved him, so their forced relationship made little difference to her. To be honest with herself, she had loved the boy since they were children.

Still, she shook her head then tightened her grip on the “younger” Sephiroth before her. Frowning, she softly spoke, for she wasn’t certain if she should let the General hear her, despite the fact that his enhancements would probably let him hear her anyway.

“This reality… There is galactic war against Tiamat and her brood? There is no Project S or N? There is no science department that controls you?”

Sephiroth raised brows at Noemi’s question and shook his head. “There is a dragon named Tiamat and it colonized Midgar. However, it has no interest in harming anybody who doesn’t care to harm it’s children, I don’t think…” He thought hard, shaking his head again.

“Some years ago, the dragons were in hiding. And then one day, all at once, they revealed themselves and a lot of the population died. But there was also a good number who survived… the continent I was living on was overlooked entirely, as if they weren’t interested at all.” He frowned. “Since then I have been leading the army and assisting others. We have gained territory on other continents, gone into negotiation with other dragons, and we have even allied with some again. Right now I have four sitting on a sea-dock at home… they are tied up and refuse to listen to negotiations.”

He sighed, for this must have sounded like a rather far-fetched story, especially to an outsider.

“There is no galactic war, no. We are not space-faring either. Also, the dragon doesn’t care. You could probably move over to it and poke it with a stick. The Brood Mother cares nothing about our presence.” He shook his head yet again. “There was a Project-S and a J-Project, but nothing beyond that….”

“There are also three dragons of Cetra lore and legend. They probably existed, but I personally have never cared to study that as I have always believed them to just be rather fancy magic.” He narrowed his brows and snorted. “However… supposedly, at the end of their lives, their spirits were stored in Materia. Their names were Bahamut, Neo Bahamut, and Bahamut-Zero. All three of them have always been benevolent protectors – all you need do is summon their spirits.” He snorted again, folding his arms.

“We’re getting off the subject.” He stated finally.

Noemi lowered her head as she listened to Sephiroth’s tale. Overall, his situation did not sound bad at all. Still, she had many more questions to ask him. However, she kept her voice low just in case the General would think her a traitor for what she was beginning to consider.

“So, you are in relative peace then, correct? That also means that you are not a slave or property to anyone?” she looked the leather-clad man over as she spoke. “You do not seem as if you are branded by anything.”

Sephiroth folded his arms. “If peace is being cordoned off to one set of islands in the South-Pacific sea while the dragons sort their alliances out once more, then yes.” He snorted. “We will need to negotiate and reclaim territory, but I don’t think it poses too much of a problem in all honesty.”

“I’m not branded via anything.” He crossed his arms across his chest, scowling. “However, we are really getting off the subject now. Final time I am going to ask this – are you able to help my son or not? If not, I shall have to find another.”

Noemi narrowed her eyes in thought before she responded in a near whisper, “I may be able to assist you. The Halcyon is built for deep-space missions. We are fully equipped with a medical staff. The staff is not nearly as advanced as those found on Earth or even on this station. However, they should be sufficient… If you are willing to return to your reality with cargo, that is.”

General Sephiroth scowled. “You can’t be serious! You want to help him? He’s an unmarked-natural with one of the most ridiculous falsified tales in existance.” He snarled. “You want to help him? Noemi… you’re not thinking straight. Do you remember the lessons about being led into temptation? We should be reporting this idiot!”

Sephiroth slowly nodded his head. “As one has to give something to receive, I am willing to return to my reality with cargo if that is one of your terms for assisting me.”

Noemi frowned as Sephiroth retorted to her plans. She glanced to the side before she loudly grumbled, “General Sephiroth, I am getting old and they are planning on retiring me. You do realize that they won’t just send me off with a pension, right? I am part of the enemy… I also have the experimental early implants, remember?”

She narrowed her eyes as she looked back at General Sephiroth. Her lips pressed into a thin line as she continued via telepathy, ~They try to make it so I forget this detail, but they plan on killing me. It probably will be soon. I’d rather live.~

General Sephiroth made a low growling noise and turned away from Noemi, slowly shaking his head at her. “I can’t believe what you’re suggesting…” He mumbled. “I really can’t….”

Sephiroth nodded his head in understanding. “Alright…” He glanced down at his mechanical hand, then back at her. “Get ready in five minutes before they discover what’s going on. How are we going to do this?”

Noemi frowned at the General before she softly spoke out to him, “You do not need to join me, General. You have no dragon blood in you at all.”

Shaking her head, she turned her attention to the “younger” Sephiroth before she confidently spoke, “I shall escort you to the Halcyon. From there, I shall depart the station in my ship. What happens after that, happens.”

General Sephiroth made a very angsty sound and whined like a child. “Noemi… if you’re going, I’m coming with you.” He spoke stiffly. “No two ways about it… I’m sorry. I’m not letting you leave without me.” He growled. “I’m not losing you again.”

Sephiroth rolled his eyes slightly and sighed. “Yes. I will open a portal in front of the Halcyon and you may fly it through. Be aware that it may come through the other side upside-down, sideways, or even backwards.” He nodded. “Gather what you need to and quickly move before your superiors discover the magnitude of what is happening.”

Noemi nodded at Sephiroth’s words before she sent out an order to her crew to have all essential staff on the Halcyon within ten minutes. She made a point of not notifying those that had families on the station, for she did not want to force them to leave them behind. Once her orders were sent out, she looked at Sephiroth.

“I suggest you gather what members of your team you want to come along with you, then, General. You know where the Halcyon is stationed, so be there within ten minutes,” Noemi suggested.

She then moved forward to grip onto the leather-clad Sephiroth’s arm before she unlocked the door for both of them. Having been in General Sephiroth’s room more than often enough, she knew the access codes forwards and backwards. Once she stepped out of the room, she lead the leather-clad man to the Halcyon.

~Act natural,~ she told the man.

Sephiroth followed Noemi along, his posture stiff and rigid – which was normal for him, if not natural. He briskly walked to the ship, frowning as he awaited his next orders. “How long will this take to start up?” He wondered.

Meanwhile, General Sephiroth sent out a notice to his crew, asking them to go on a dangerous dragon hunting mission, also requesting people with close family to stay behind. His message was answered fairly quickly as his personnel began to rush down the deck within the next few minutes, picking up weapons, artillery and supplies along the way, behaving as if they were preparing for a proper battle mission.

The General smirked at their loyalty and stood at the doorway of the Halcyon while everything was loaded.

Noemi had left the port to the Halcyon open so that her crew could board as swiftly as possible. When General Sephiroth arrived, all he would need to do was register with Halcyon’s personal roster. Thanks to Noemi’s status, she was able to sneak the other Sephiroth into the ship via a private entrance, so the question about two Sephiroths would not come up.

As the “younger” Sephiroth questioned her about how much time was needed, she calmly replied, “My crew are efficient. It should take little more than ten minutes for us to be ready to move. General Sephiroth does not waste time either.”

Sephiroth slowly nodded his head, slipping into one of the private holding areas as directed. He took a seat on one of the seats nearby, lowering his head as he began to ponder. “I need to know how big this ship is. I’ve helped move an entire island to a new location before, but I had help… I should be able to manage a smaller portal without assistance… but I need to know how wide to make it.”

General Sephiroth hung around the other soldiers, ordering them where they needed to go.

Noemi thought for a few moments, for she hadn’t thought much of the ship’s size before. After a bit, she calmly responded, “The widest point is 2 kilometers wide. It is about 600 meters tall. As for the length, it is just shy of 4 kilometers.”

Sephiroth nodded his head. “That should be easy…” He glanced out the window. “Fly it out into an open area. Then guide it forward. Then when I tell you, Turn every engine on as hard as possible.” He made some motions with his hands. “The ship will make an arc when it arrives through the portal due to the rotation of the planet, and gravity. It is up to you to pilot and work out what will happen after that…”

Noemi nodded at Sephiroth’s instructions. She understood what he was telling her to do, so she had no questions for him. Thus, after giving him a formal military bow, she left her quarters, where she had lead Sephiroth to earlier.

As she was leaving, she turned to look at the leather-clad man, “Stay here. I do not want to explain you.”

With that said, she made her way to the bridge before she began to instruct her crew. Within the next fifteen minutes, the Halcyon had undocked and was quickly moving to the location where Sephiroth had indicated.

Sephiroth stayed put, listening to the sounds of the ship, also watching the scenergy outside the window. He still couldn’t get over the fact he was in space. The ShinRa had only ever tried to send one rocket into space, and it was a flop.

General Sephiroth stood on the bridge, watching the crew go about their work. “19,000km/h and rising, Captain. Approaching the speed of sound within ten seconds.” He nodded. “Awaiting your orders.”

Noemi chuckled at General Sephiroth’s statement. Shaking her head, she tilted her head to look at him.

“You make that sound fast,” the captain commented. She gave him a sly smirk, “Of course, you foot-men think anything is fast, don’t you.”

After winking at her love, she continued to direct her crew toward the spot where Sephiroth had indicated. By the time that they reached the location, they were already traveling close to the speed of light.

General Sephiroth stood on the deck and watched the speed increase, feeling nothing as the ship reached its desired speed. He nodded, “Good work.” and slipped off the deck to go walk into Noemi’s personal quarters.

Sephiroth continued to watch the window, frowning. *”How fast do you want to take this thing?”* He wondered. *”You’re going to need to slow it down. I’m not going to be able to make a proper portal in front of it by the time it reaches the portal at this speed….”*
