Dimitri: *Whines as he receives his father’s transmission. He then whimpers, not even answering. Instead, he gathers up his stuff from the table, leaving behind the bill that Edgeworth left. He then slinks away, intending to hide away in the outlaying forest today*
Sephiroth: *”Do you want me to ban you from talking to him?”* *growls* *”Just don’t ruin it. I beg of you, just DON’T. You could do more damage than you could ever realize. We want him to be on our side, and just highlighting the fact that we are different and perhaps dangerous, as well as murderers… he’s not going to want to work for us any more. In fact, quite the opposite. He may launch a case against us. There are enough angry humans in the world who would want to put me down for my past deeds.”* *sighs* *”I don’t want to ban you from talking to him, but I honestly have no other choice. You’re not giving me one.”*
Dimitri: *whines at Sephiroth’s words. He then curls up at the base of a tree* No.. *sniffles and begins to cry, genuinely miserable now*
Jenna: *having become rather bored of waiting in bed all day long for several days as well as feeling much better, she has gotten dressed in her armor. She then walks toward Sephiroth’s office. Thus, she enters without bothering for an invitation within thirty minutes of Edgeworth arriving*
Sephiroth: *glances up suddenly as he hears movement. He nods at Jenna and goes back to work* Hello there. I see you got bored of the house. *sips his coffee and leans back in his chair, sighing with tiredness*
Jenna: Quite a bit. *nods then moves further into the room. She glances about as she moves toward Sephiroth. However, once she is standing next to Sephiroth, she reaches down to gently massage the back of his neck*
Sephiroth: *makes a contented sound and relaxes even further in the chair* This is rather counter-productive you know…. why don’t you look at something and read it out to me? The Neo-Midgar project would be an interesting one… Midgar and the Eastern Continent ended up a part of South America. We are pondering claiming the territory space.
Jenna: South America, huh? *shakes her head* I doubt you would manage that. Remember, Earth isn’t like Gaia. It isn’t one harmonious planet with only one government. South America alone has over fifteen governments, each which frequently have coups. Heh, getting that entire continent to join together under your rule will probably be next to impossible. *tilts her head as she catches onto a new smell in the area* Having a visitor today?
If anyone, such as Edgeworth, were to start looking online for the newest rumors concerning Sephiroth’s families, one would some come across a rumor mill concerning Jenna. Apparently, there have been a number of people who have found old newspaper clippings, dating well into the mid 1800s that show images of a woman that looks like Jenna. Some are clearer than others, but there are people wondering if the woman is indeed Jenna. Those that think it is Jenna are wondering how old she is.
Sephiroth: *nods his head* We have a lawyer with us. We’re going to launch a suit against the Americans. They breached peace-keeping requests and killed others when told not to. They also breached Earth’s Geneva convention codes.
Edgeworth: *just spends his time researching, quietly going through the newspaper clippings online*
Jenna: Ah, I see. *nods then pats the top of Seph’s head* That’s good. *grins at him then wanders out of the office* Not that you’ll have an America to launch a suit against soon.. *Shrugs and moves into the hallway. Since she is curious, she tracks down the scent of Edgeworth and permits herself into his office*
Edgeworth: *hears the door open and looks up at Jenna, quickly closing the browser on his computer* Hello. I was not told you were going to be here as well. Do you work in this building also?
Jenna: *her focus moves to the computer for a brief moment, noticing Edgeworth’s swift moment. However, she quickly shifts her gaze back to the lawyer. She snorts then shakes her head* No, I do not work here. I just go where I please.
Edgeworth: Well, I see… *picks up some documentation to busy himself with* Could you please shut the door behind you when you go. It’s cold in this building and I have come from a warmer environment. I am still getting used to the climate here.
Jenna: It is not that cold here. However, as you wish. *She reaches behind herself to close the door. She then moves closer to Edgeworth’s desk* So, you are here to place charges on your own country?
Edgeworth: *scowls at Jenna* It is not like that. I am writing a suit against those involved with the army, and highlighting poor army conduct. Unless you are directly involved with this case, I am not going to tell you any more. *pauses* Weren’t you leaving?
Jenna: I never said a word about my leaving. *She then turns to face Edgeworth, her eyes narrowing* And I do believe your case does have to do with me. It was my daughter that was shot. It is my husband who has hired you. *snorts* Anyway, it’ll probably be a wasted effort.
Edgeworth: *shakes his head* I have not specifically been told that you are authorized to discuss the details of the suit. I don’t care who was shot – if you do not have the clearance, you do not have the clearance.
Jenna: Heh, very well. *She glances at his desk then takes in a deep breath* Tell me, boy. Is it common for lawyers to hide fear? *she then glances at his computer* What is it that you are so nervous about, hm?
Edgeworth: *looks rather stiff and annoyed as he grits his teeth* Fear? What is there to be afraid of?? Don’t be so ridiculous. Now get out of my office and let me work! You aren’t even involved in this case. You have no reason to be here. *points towards the door*
Jenna: *cruely smirks then shakes her head* I am the wife of the top general here. I think that entitles me to being involved. *She then flicks her finger, casting a spell to trigger Edgeworth’s computer to show its hidden screens. She then makes a humming noise* That’s interesting.
Edgeworth: *quickly covers the screen with his hands, moving in front of it, yelling* Get out of here!
Sephiroth: *is attracted by the noise and moves into the hallway, opening the door. He scowls as he steps inside, nudging Jenna on the shoulder* What are you doing? *”Don’t ruin this for me. Dimitri has already endangered this operation by telling him we’re murderers. Don’t screw it up worse than it already is.”*
Jenna: *narrows her eyes at Sephiroth* ~You love playing hiding games. Such foolishness.~ *shakes her head then leans in closer to Edgeworth* Tell me, sir. Why do you have that sort of thing on your computer? It doesn’t seem to have a thing to do with your investigation.
Edgeworth: *covers the front of the screen with his body and fumbles for the power switch, turning the monitor off entirely* G-get out!!
Sephiroth: *snorts* What is going on here? *deeply scowls* *”If I didn’t know better… judging by the way he looks, his flamboyant sense of fashion and the way he carries himself… I would have guessed that he was looking at homosexual pornography.”*
Jenna: ~Seph, just go back to work. I’m not going to harm this man.~ *she moves closer to Edgeworth before turning her telepathy toward him* ~You are a seeker of truth, yet you fumble around in the dark, don’t you? Let’s play a game. If you want to find truth, meet me on the pub two blocks away from here.~ *coldly smirks at Edgeworth before she turns to leave the office*
Sephiroth: *growls lightly as he watches Jenna leaving, then shakes his head* *”Are you seriously trying to ruin what I’m doing here? I should never have invited this outsider to come…”* *sighs and steps out of the office to go back to his own*
Jenna: *shakes her head at Sephiroth’s words* ~Put some faith in me for once. In fact, trust anyone.~ *with that, she moves out of the building. Within a few minutes, she arrives at the bar that she mentioned. So, she begins to sip on some water at first, not really wanting to get more of Seph’s ire*
