Reno: *kneels down next to Rude and pats his back. He then glances at Edgeworth* Hey, don’t sweat it. We’re TURKs. *grins* We breathe this stuff. But thanks anyway, yo.
Jenna: *stands up, intending to leave the area. However, she stops as a SOLDIER touches her shoulder so that he can thank her for helping him win his bet. With only a brief growl as warning, she grips onto the man’s forearm them flips him onto his back* Do not tush me. *snorts then walks out of the room*
Desiree: *briefly glances over at Kalysto then shrugs* Eh, don’t worry about it. Rhyderi isn’t too smart anyway, now is he? *grins then stops in front of their old house* Well, here we are. Ready?
Edgeworth: Oh very funny. **doesnt look the least bit impressed* He fell on the floor and vomitted. Unless, of course, you want to go to jail for possible manslaughter if he gets alcohol poisoning and dies? *glares down at Reno*
Kalysto: *makes a so-so motion with his hand* Des, it’s Rhyderi. He’s smart, just not in fields you would expect somebody to be smart in. And then at times, he is quite, quite brilliant…
Reno: I know Rude. He’ll just have one hell of a hangover tomorrow. *grins* I’ll go ahead and take him to the clinic. *he then grips onto Rude’s shoulders and slowly lifts him up* We TURKs are tough stuff though. *winks at Edgeworth and begins to escort Rude out of the room. He takes care to avoid the man who is moaning due to having been flipped onto the floor as he leaves*
Desiree: Yea, but he’s also very oblivious to other stuff. We’ll see. *she stops the car then hops out* Well, do you want to start or should I?
Edgeworth: *snaps the phone shut and glares as he watches Reno leave with Rude. He points to the vomit on the floor* Somebody should clean that up! *glares at Jenna* Do I need to send you to the emergency room as well?
Kalysto: Yeah. *climbs out of the car and wanders over to a house so she can turn on the tap in their front yard. She wets off her hands, then begins to pat down her spikes* How do I look now? *glances around the area* He’s not here… *flicks her ears back, dissapointed*
Desiree: Well, our hair definitely looks lifeless without your spikes… *shakes her head, deciding to ignore that fact. She then frowns* What? Damn.. *shakes her head and tries to sense out Rhyderi’s locaiton*
Jenna: *is walking, unaided, away from the room. She’s already made it half-way down the hall when she hears Edgeworth’s inquiry. So, she glances back at him before releasing a very faint chuckle* No.
Rhyderi: *is on the far left penninsula of the island, heading south at a marching pace with a dozen others. The group is busy patrolling the island’s perimeter rather than spending time looking after the civilians today*
Kalysto: Yeah, he’s not here. His cluster normally hangs out here, but… *shrugs* Do we get back in the car?
Edgeworth: *glares at Jenna as she walks down the hallway and returns to his room* You should be ashamed of yourself, madam.
Jenna: *doesn’t bother to repond to Edgeworth at all. Instead, she steadily continues on her way, intending to head home*
Dimitri: *is intently reading one of Edgeworth’s books, but he is still showing signs of extreme fear. He remains deathly silent and doesn’t look up when Edgeworth returns to his office*
Desiree: *groans in frustration as she feels where Rhyderi is. She then shakes her head* Well, he’s patrolling the island… *crosses her arms* I don’t know what we should do.. I suppose if you really wanted to get to him, we could track him down and have you play a damsel in distress before we try the threesome thing.
Edgeworth: *takes his seat again, glancing back at Dimitri, noticing he is very quiet and rigid* What is wrong with you? *shakes his head* I’m not going to tell them what you did and nor am I going to punish you. But I am not at all happy. You cannot just go around and make people suffer. I do not even know why you did it. Can you at least explain it to me?
Kalysto: *chuckles* Oh I like that… *flicks an ear* How about I lie on the road like I broke my ankle. Then you threaten to run me over in your car? That’s sure to get his heroic gears going.
Dimitri: *softly mumbles* Mother drinking… Bad things can happen if she does that… Bad things- Father not here. *he doesn’t even seem to notice what Edgeworth is telling him at all*
Desiree: He wouldn’t exactly go for the idea of a threesome if one of us is trying to run over the other, Kalysto.. I can push over a tree and you can lay under it though.
Kalysto: Hey, yeah, that works too. We gotta move quick though. We also have to be sufficiently far enough away that he doesn’t see us setting it up. *flicks an ear* How fast can you get everything in order? Just teleport whatever you need wherever you need. I’m a good actor. I’ll just do what is needed. *gives her a big confident grin*
Edgeworth: Well that is her standpoint. She is responsible for her own actions.
Dimitri: *whimpers and looks up at Edgeworth. He then lowers his head* She’s hurt father after drinking… Father isn’t here. *bites his lip then lowers his head* Umm… We have a guest bedroom. Can you stay the night with my family to…
Desiree: Hmm… Probably won’t take long at all. *she grips onto Kalysto* We’ll just leave the car here for now. *she then teleports them to the perimeter of the island. She glances to the west* Yea, he should be here in five to ten minutes, so- *psychically makes a large, older palm tree fall to the ground* Go ahead and climb under it.
Edgeworth: Thank you very much, but I am alright. I have a room at the hotel which is being charged to the company so I do not have to pay for anything. They also have a laundry service. *shrugs* I like it. I have my own space, which is reasonably adequate until my application for a house is processed.
Kalysto: *watches the tree fall and grins. She quickly moves under it and begins to wiggle about, getting to a point where she is actually nearly properly stuck under it. She wiggles her limbs and nods in approval* This will do nicely. Where will you be when he comes, Desi?
Dimitri: *pales a bit more at Edgeworth’s response. He then whimpers and stares up at the man* Please… I’m scared that… Please, stay the night just to help.. Don’t want anything to happen. *whimpers*
Desiree: *leans in to flick Kalysto’s ear* Well, someone needs to yell for help, huh? *she then kicks dirt into Kalysto’s hair and face. She does this a few times before she glances off to the distance to see if Rhyderi is in range. Once she sees even the vaguest hint of the elf, she calls out* Help!
Edgeworth: *blinks and watches Dimitri for a few moments before turning around in his seat to properly study him* Your mother scares you? *speaks in a quieter voice* Does she hurt you when she gets drunk? *subtly moves to pick up the phone* Tell me what you know.
Kalysto: Yeah I gue—phhhhplh!! *flinches as dirt goes in her mouth. She spits it out and glares at Desiree, growling* Next time, some warning please! *pins her ears back at Desiree’s yelling and suddenly begins pitifully crying* It hurts…. it hurts so badly…
Rhyderi: *hears the sound of somebody calling out for help and drops his sword, hurriedly running down the road towards the sound* Desiree!? What are you doing here? *crouches down to glance at the female pinned under the tree* Stay still, alright? I’ll get you out. *calls back to his men* Get over here now!! *begins trying to lift the palm tree off the woman, struggling very much in the attempt*
Dimitri: *shakes his head* No, mother never hurt me.. But.. *glances to the side* She has.. umm… split personality. Very bad things can happen when she’s drunk. Father doesn’t want her to drink, and he’s usually here..
Desiree: *releases a “relieved” sigh as Rhyderi comes* Oh, thank you. I’m so glad you were around. I wasn’t certain what I was going to do. *she allows herself a small smirk as she looks down at Kalysto*
Edgeworth: If she isn’t going to hurt you, what are you afraid of? When somebody is drunk, the alcohol removes certain inhibitions one may have. Which is why your mother would appear to turn into a different person, so it would seem. *sighs* It’s the middle of the day. She has plenty of time to sober up.
Rhyderi: *continues to haul up the palm tree, having the assistance of three of the elves nearby before they can get it to move* Good! *begins pulling the tree back out of the way*
Kalysto: Oh, my hero…
Dimitri: No, it’s not that. *frowns* Mother really has a split personality. Fire red and blood red.. Her eyes change color. I’ve seen it once… *shakes his head then once again looks pleadingly into Edgeworth’s eyes* Please, just stay the night.. Just in case.
Desiree: *waits until Rhyderi has properly lifted up the tree. She then hugs onto the cherry-blonde elf* Oh, thank goodness. You’re pretty strong. Do you know that?
Edgeworth: This sounds more like a matter for the police and social services, not me. If you are honestly that worried, you shouldn’t stay there, and neither should any of your younger siblings. It is not becoming of me to get involved like that. However, I am pretty sure I can call somebody for help if you need it. Would you prefer that?
Kalysto: *because Rhyderi is being hugged and busy with Desiree, another elf drags Kalysto out from under the tree. Kalysto is rather quick to move to her feet and dust herself off, not at all appreciating being man-handled*
Rhyderi: *tries to nudge Desiree away again, frowning* All in a day’s work. Is the lady harmed? Do we need to arrange transport to the medical clinic?
Dimitri: *shakes his head* Don’t want that. Mother is good to us most of the time. She protects us. Just… Father really doesn’t want her to drink. He’s told us she can do really bad things.. *lowers his head* I don’t want the police or social services.
Desiree: *backs up a bit as she’s nudged away. She then glances at Kalysto* ~Well… how do we do anything past this point? I’m definitely no master of seduction.~
Edgeworth: *frowns at him* Well what would you like to happen? From a legal standpoint, it is entirely inappropriate for me to become involved personally. You seem afraid enough to indicate violence, but I cannot do anything for you unless there is a moderate threat of violence. *pauses, shaking his head* What kind of ‘really bad’ things can she do?
Kalysto: *”Are you kidding me?”* *moves over to Rhyderi and begins to caress his shoulder* Oh what.. fine muscles you have… why don’t you come back to town with me and my girlfriend and—
Rhyderi: *cuts her off, glaring at Desiree* Girlfriend?
Dimitri: Legally? *lowers his head and frowns* Why must it be legally? What about umm… friend? *looks at the ground and seems to not want to answer his other questions*
Desiree: *shoots Kalysto a very brief glare. She then moves closer to Rhyderi* Yea, something wrong with that? *grins* Kalysto’s been boring, working all day and leaving me all alone with the kids. I think it’s time for more, interesting, things.
Edgeworth: I try not to make social connections when I am at work. *frowns lightly* Please, continue. This may be for your own safety. What kinds of ‘really bad things’ would she do to you if left unguarded? I need to know so I can take appropriate action. Otherwise I may take inappropriate action and there may be more upset than is needed. *crouches down towards him, speaking in a gentle voice* Please tell me. This is very important.
Rhyderi: *glares heavily at Desiree, then at the woman* You disgust me. I am glad to have helped you, but don’t do me any sexual favours. I am not even interested in women. Or men. Before you go accusing me of being gay. *picks up his sword* I bid thee farewell.
Dimitri: Don’t make social connections..? That not possible.. If you don’t make social connections, why do you let me stay here and read your stuff. I don’t work for you. There no reason to let me in here if you don’t have any social connection.. *frowns and looks at Edgeworth, seeming quite hurt* Don’t want police. Don’t want social service thing. Just want friend to help keep us safe tonight.. Just in case..
Desiree: *blinks then frowns at Kalysto, speaking out while Rhyderi is still in range* Well, I guess we should have known that he wouldn’t even entertain it for a minute, Kalysto.
Edgeworth: *seems quite frustrated by now, but doesn’t show it* Safe from what? Just in case of what? Please. I can’t help you unless you tell me. I cannot arrest somebody or be a guard, or stop a punch, or get involved in a fight. I am just a lawyer with the qualifications to back it up. Don’t you see? *sighs and turns away from him, rifling through some documents* I can set up a room for you and your siblings at the hotel. I can have members of the army come by and keep an eye on you. I can arrange things to keep you safe, proper precautions. But I can do nothing if you do not tell me what to do.
Kalysto: Yeah, bummer, huh? *flicks her ears back*
Rhyderi: *stops dead* What. *turns around to glare at Desiree and Kalysto again. He quickly moves over to Kalysto and stares at her, pulling at her ears* Oh my… heavens above. By the Light, what did you DO to yourself?!
Dimitri: *lowers his head, whimpering. He then shakes his head before he closes the book and slides out of the chair* Sorry… I shouldn’t have- *he then quickly rushes out of the office, not really wanting to continue this conversation*
Desiree: *sighs as Rhyderi returns to inspect Kalysto. She then shoos away the other elves* Go. *soon after, she turns her attention back to Rhyderi* Oh, you’re actually surprised that Kalysto would do this?
