Sephiroth: *glares* Did you not just hear me? I said no, multiple times! give me some time. Give me some time – I said that too. *growls in a threatening manner at her* If you can wait a few minutes, I will drink the stupid cup….
Jenna: Hrmph.. I’m trying to help you. *she then gets up before she sets the cup on the sink counter. After giving Sephiroth a poignant glare, for she is trying to indicate that she doesn’t appreciate his attitude, she turns and leaves the bathroom*
Sephiroth: I know that. But nothing is going to go exactly your way. *snorts as Jenna leaves. As he said, he follows out on his word. Within the next five minutes he has drunk the entire contents of the mug and lies back down on the bed to continue his recouperation*
Jenna: *has settled herself on her side of the bed and is silently reading one of her books. When Sephiroth moves to the bed, she reaches over to gently knead her fingers against the top of his head*
Sephiroth: *mutters* I’m not sure what their planned outcome was… but they didn’t take any pictures of me for blackmail purposes. So there is not going to be anything in the newspaper about it…. *smirks lightly*
Jenna: *rolls her eyes* You worry too much about these newspapers. *turns her head to look to the side before snorting. She then mutters* I suppose it’s good that you never saw the one “paper” that featured out-of-focus pictures of me sunbathing on the roof, nude..
Sephiroth: *snorts loudly* WHAT. *sits up and glares at her, growling* Why would you do that?? It’s not even a comfortable place to lie. At least use the beaches. There are many that are unmonitored.
Jenna: *rolls her eyes at him* Ever heard of the word “convenience”? I am here all day, usually watching over the youngest children. *Crosses her arms* A role that I never saw myself performing in my youth… but that’s besides the point. *Shakes her head* Alexander isn’t old enough for me to drag out to some beach. So, I have to stay around here.
Sephiroth: What’s wrong with the back yard..? *coughs lightly, scowling* Just put down a towel, and… *mumbles* I can’t believe I am trying to encourage this…. *scowls and shakes his head* Why would you do that at all…?
Jenna: Seph, I was on the part of the roof that faced the back yard. So, the elevation would make little difference. *snorts* I thought I wouldn’t be seen from on high. As for why, it feels good to have the sun on my skin? *glances over him* You’re pale, so I don’t imagine your skin was ever the type to be good for sunbathing anyway, so I doubt you really would understand.
Sephiroth: No, I don’t want to sunbathe… and I don’t see the logic behind it either. Why expose yourself to it and get burned? *scowls and moves off to curl up, pulling the covers over himself properly* Just don’t do that again….
Jenna: My skin doesn’t burn easily. *shakes her head* Pale skin has less… umm… *Frowns* That thing in the skin that allows for pigmentation… *shrugs, not caring enough to try to scour her brain for the right word* That means it doesn’t tan so well. Mine isn’t pale. *she watches him then sighs* Yes, I’m very glad I intercepted that tabloid before you saw it…
Sephiroth: *growls* Somebody probably collected it though. *mutters* Don’t do that again… I mean it. I don’t know why you would, but it is going to come up in the newspapers again and we could be spared the ridiculousness right now.
Jenna: *sighs at Sephiroth then grumbles* Yep, I’m glad I intercepted that tabloid more than three months ago. *shakes her head at him* You’re still too uptight over what is in those things. *she then flicks his bangs*
Sephiroth: I have a public image I have to maintain. If it waivers, they’re going to come and mass around the house and try to kill us… or burn it down. Understand that and respect it, because it’s one of the only reasons they haven’t demanded I be trialed for the destruction of Midgar…
Jenna: *sighs* Very well, I suppose you have a point there. *she pats the top of his head* Get some sleep. *She then stands up and moves to the living room*
Cancer: *is asleep on the couch in the living room, having fallen asleep there from the night before. She is in an awkward position and her arms have half liquefied as she has relaxed, and are dripping onto the floor*
Jenna: *pauses for a moment to stare at Cancer. After twitching, she shakes her head then sighs* How did my life turn out this way? *snorting, she moves to turn on the television so that she can watch the news. She adjusts the volume in hopes of not waking up Cancer*
Cancer: *due to being a light sleeper, she wakes up fairly easily. She makes a light groan as she sits up, then looks around, deeply frowning* Whuh… *glances at the TV then at Jenna* When did you… uh…. what? What am I doing here?
Jenna: *Glances at Cancer* It’s morning. I only arrived a few moments ago. As to what you are doing there.. *glances over her* I assumed you were sleeping.
Cancer: *groans slightly abd shifts around before finally sitting up. She rematerializes herself and gives Jenna a bleary-eyed look* I was sleeping… I just don’t know what I was doing sleeping on the couch. I thought I had gone to bed.. *stretches, feeling quite stiff*
Jenna: *Stares at Cancer as she announces that she is stiff. She then quickly shakes her head before muttering to herself* Some things shouldn’t be understood… *sighs* I don’t know why you were sleeping there.
Cancer: I was watching TV and must have fallen asleep. Somehow. *stretches again, then moves to her feet, grumbling* Damn… *turns back to watch the TV report, narrowing her eyes as a fabricated report of Sephiroth getting drunk at a large party comes on. Somebody took pictures of him being escorted back to the house, so of course, they are on the TV along with the near-fake report of him getting up to dangerous stunts*
Jenna: *groans* Such human stupidity… *Shakes her head then gets to her feet* Take care of yourself, Cancer. *She then slips out of the house and moves into the backyard so that she can do a few exercises*
Zach: *is already in the backyard, pinning laundry onto a make-shift clothes line he has strung up across the yard. He nods in acknowledgement of Jenna, seeming to have no ill-effects from his drinking the night previous* Is today going to be very sunny? I need to take Xelong outside to show him how to sun himself. He spends too long sleeping in my bed.
