Sephiroth slowly nodded his head. “Yes, we do have a dinner reservation, but the storms tend to roll in quite fast.” He kept his attention on the ocean, but made a gentle purr when kissed. “We may also be at the restaurant when it hits the shore-line. It’s a real gamble, isn’t it?”
August 14, 2011 at 9:44 pm #52756SeferiaKeymasterJenna pressed herself against Sephiroth, moving her hands along his sides as she moved closer to him. “Hmm.. a gamble, huh? Well, I’ve always had a soft spot for taking gambles and gambits. They tend to work in my favor. You, on the other hand… I doubt that you have the luck of the draw.”
August 14, 2011 at 11:14 pm #52757Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth shook his head lightly in disagreement. “Oh, it all depends…” He stated calmly. “Depends on what I am gambling on, no? Does it even matter that much? In a case like this, no, it doesn’t matter at all.”
He smirked and moved to place his arms around his mate. “Sometimes I have more luck than I know what to do with.”
August 14, 2011 at 11:16 pm #52758SeferiaKeymaster“Mmm… and other people don’t believe in luck at all. No, they make their own luck,” Jenna gave Sephiroth a feral grin as she looked up into his eyes. “For instance, I am quite confident that it will only start raining as soon as we enter the restaurant. No sooner, no later.”
August 15, 2011 at 12:40 am #52759Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth took another glance at the sky, then back down at his mate. He was intrigued by her prediction, and made it known by giving her a thoughtful expression.
“That’s awfully accurate. Are you controlling the weather?” He mused. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you were. Interesting… very interesting.”
August 15, 2011 at 12:42 am #52760SeferiaKeymasterJenna’s smile only grew a fraction. However, she just shrugged before she leaned in closer to him. Once she was pressed up against him, she wrapped her arms about his neck so that she could easily pull herself up enough to plant a kiss on his lips.
As she pulled out of the kiss, she huskily whispered to him, “Now, what would give you an idea like that? I have never claimed to be a goddess. Nor am I some sort of goddess. How can a mere being like me control the weather?”
Chuckling, she nudged him. “We should start heading to the restaurant soon.”
August 15, 2011 at 2:17 am #52761Kat AclysmKeymaster“Considering how long it would actually take me to reach the restaurant, I do not think you have terribly much to worry about, my friend.” Sephiroth gave Jenna a most playful smirk and chuckled softly. “I can teleport there, put the bike in subspace… or ride it there in 3 minutes. The choice is entirely yours.”
August 15, 2011 at 2:19 am #52762SeferiaKeymaster“What sort of fun would there be if we just teleported there?” Jenna sadly shook her head at Sephiroth. “Come now, simply because you can do something doesn’t mean that you should. Doing things the easy way can become so terribly boring.”
August 15, 2011 at 2:56 am #52763Kat AclysmKeymaster“Yes, you’re right,” Sephiroth shrugged slightly. “But either way can be boring if you do them frequently, yes? I’m sure all the non-teleporting-capable people of this island would find riding somewhere to be very boring.”
August 15, 2011 at 3:02 am #52764SeferiaKeymaster“It all depends on the path and the company, my dear Sephiroth. Things change quite drastically when the right circumstances are met,” Jenna countered. “Now, enough of this pointless debate, hm?”
Jenna suddenly leaned in to lock her lips with Sephiroth’s before she pushed off him to permit herself to fall backwards over the cliff. As she fell, she gracefully flipped around to land on her feet before she gave her mate a mock-salute. Not wasting another second, the woman dashed off toward the restaurant, having silently issued a challenge to her mate.
August 15, 2011 at 6:41 am #52766Kat AclysmKeymaster“It’s not a pointless deba—” Sephiroth was cut off when Jenna momentarily kissed him. When she fell backwards, he raised a brow at her, though didn’t seem terribly worried by the scene.
“There really wasn’t any point to that, you know.” He stated as he watched her antics. When she dashed away, he gave her a few moments head-start while he decided he place his bike in subspace. Once that was in order, he promptly dashed off down the road after her.
August 15, 2011 at 6:47 am #52767SeferiaKeymasterJenna grinned to herself as she raced down the road. She enjoyed the feel of air surging past her as she pushed herself to run at her top speeds. She cared not that there was no point in anything she was doing, she was having fun being playful.
As she reached the road that seperated the beach from her target, she simply leaped over the few cars that were speeding past the road, springing off one of the hoods to get to the other side. Upon finally reaching the restaurant, she skidded to a stop before she looked around to see where Sephiroth was.
August 15, 2011 at 7:04 am #52765Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth continued to run down the road, staying in the bike-lane to avoid traffic. He reached the restaurant a short time after Jenna. “Can you tell me…” He said as he approached the lady, panting slightly, “What was the point of that..?”
August 15, 2011 at 7:06 am #52768SeferiaKeymasterJenna frowned as she noticed that Sephiroth was panting, “We’re definitely going to take up sparring and running daily to get you back into shape…”
Shaking her head, she smirked at him. “And the point was to have some fun, Seph. Now, come on.”
Thus, she stepped into the restaurant. Just as she had “perdicted”, the rain started to come in just as Sephiroth and her were both in the premises. However, Jenna showed no indication as to whether she had arranged that or not.
August 15, 2011 at 7:17 am #52769Kat AclysmKeymaster“I think it would be a good idea to get back into a routine…” Sephiroth muttered as he stepped into the restaurant. The moment he was inside, a slow amused grin crossed his expression. Without even bothering to turn around, he could already hear the rain, and could tell that the storm had started.
“Ah how convenient that we didn’t have to get wet.” He stated in a gentle voice as he headed for the reservation counter.
August 15, 2011 at 2:46 pm #52770SeferiaKeymaster“This time, I’m not letting you weasel out of it. You will be definitely put into a routine if it kills you,” Jenna smirked at her mate’s back as she followed after him.
Since they had arrived a few minutes early, they had to wait for a bit. However, once their table was ready, the two of them were seated near one of the windows overlooking the ocean.
Jenna picked up the menu and glanced it over. However, she didn’t have a clue what any of these dishes were. About the only thing she had to her advantage was that she could read french, and the menu was written in french. Still, she was about as lost as a child when it came to picking out food.
August 16, 2011 at 5:07 am #52771Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth took his seat by the window and took the menu when it was handed to him. However, instead of browsing through it, he found himself glancing outside. The storm that had rolled in was particularly active and he enjoyed watching the lightning.
August 16, 2011 at 5:12 am #52772SeferiaKeymasterAfter a few moments of staring at the words on the menu and finding little to go on, Jenna looked up at Sephiroth. She found herself surprised to find him not even struggling to make sense of the menu. Instead, her mate was staring at the storm.
A slow smirk formed on her lips as she saw a perfect opening for him, “Oh, I feel insulted. That storm is more interesting than a gorgeous woman sitting in front of you, huh?”
August 16, 2011 at 6:29 am #52773Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth turned his attention back towards Jenna and gave him a slight nod of his head before his attention was back out the window.
*”More interesting? No. I could honestly compare you a storm – you’re erratic, violent and you leave a trail of destruction in your wake. But you are a delight to watch.”* He grinned slightly and picked up his menu to flip through it. *”I can’t read a word of this.”*
August 16, 2011 at 6:38 am #52774SeferiaKeymasterJenna’s smirk grew to become much more feral. “Oh, I wouldn’t say that. I am much more like a firestorm than some simple thunderstorm. My eyes should give that much away to you, Seph.”
Jenna shook her head at Sephiroth in mock disappointment. However, a chuckle escaped her throat, for she was only teasing him. She then glanced at the menu again.
“Oh, I’m sure you can read some of the words. Some words are quite similar to their english counterparts. However… if it helps.. ‘Filet Mignon d’Élan Rôti, son Flan à la Möelle et sa Sauce au Miso Sombre.’ That would be a.. let’s see if I recall the translation properly… Roasted elk tenderloin with a bone marrow …flan… What is flan?” Jenna shook her head before continuing, “and a dark miso sauce. Hrmph… doesn’t make much sense to me though.”
August 16, 2011 at 7:24 am #52775Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth frowned at Jenna’s descriptions of the food. He didn’t particularly want to eat something like elk. He turned the menu over and read the items more carefully, his frown deepening when he realised he still couldn’t make very much sense of things.
“Why did you pick this place? How does a restaurant like this even survive on the island?” He turned the menu over once again, muttering. “I want seafood…”
August 16, 2011 at 1:19 pm #52776SeferiaKeymaster“I imagine that it survives off of those with the money to afford it,” Jenna nodded toward some of the legal staff that she recognized. They were sitting on the other side of the restaurant. “As to why I picked this place, your son and his friend mentioned it often enough for me to figure it was ‘favorable’.”
Shrugging, Jenna muttered, “Seafood, huh…?” Thus, she went back to browsing the menu. “Let’s see… ‘ Le Filet de Ahi Thon aux Tartare de Lègumes et sa Sauce Vièrge’.. That means The Ahi Tuna fillet with tartar sauce and vegetables virgin… Virgin vegetables? I don’t get it.”
August 16, 2011 at 9:47 pm #52777Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth followed Jenna’s gaze to the opposite tables. He didn’t seem terribly impressed when he discovered that the other restaurant patrons were lawyers and returned his attention to the table.
“It doesn’t seem bad. But it may just be his group’s social gathering place.” He shrugged. He seemed intrigued by the food that Jenna stated and hummed, nodding. “Yes, that sounds good actually. Virgin vegetables are young ones, I believe. It has nothing to do with anything else despite what you may think.”
August 16, 2011 at 9:52 pm #52778SeferiaKeymaster“Hrmph, of course I wasn’t thinking that! I’m not a complete imbecile when it comes to biology,” Jenna bared her teeth in annoyance before she returned to looking over the menu. She honestly had no idea about half of the items on the menu.
“And I am sure that more than just ‘his group’ go here. They just stood out because I happened to recognized them from the legal services,” Jenna grumbled out.
August 17, 2011 at 2:25 am #52779Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth made a humored sound. “His group, hmm? Are you referring to the legal idiots, or the homosexual idiots? Because this island has both of those groups now, it seems.” He yawned slightly to express his boredom of such and set his menu aside.
“Have you decided what you’re going to eat?” He was genuinely curious. The male genuinely wanted to know what kind of food that his mate would even be interested in eating here.
