Sephiroth replied with a dissatisfied and irritated sound. When the tongue came in to spear the other male, he instinctively lunged the sword at it even though Wesker had stepped aside.
“What is THAT?” He growled out. “And just how contagious is this ‘virus’?” He shot the other man a momentary harsh glare, though was more interested in his surroundings for now.
October 26, 2011 at 5:53 am #53158SeferiaKeymasterA loud screech came from above as Sephiroth sliced off the end of the tongue that had gone after Wesker. Soon after, a skinless creature collapsed onto the staircase and began to thrash around in pain.
Wesker, not caring about the creature nor Sephiroth just continued to walk up the stairs. “That is a Bio-Organic-Weapon,” he provided the simplest explanation. “And the virus is transmitted through bodily fluids.”
October 26, 2011 at 11:41 pm #53159Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth suddenly sprang back as the hideous looking creature collapsed, and he stepped forward to stab it in the chest. He stabbed it again in the head shortly afterwards, and then stood over the thrashing abomination until it had stopped moving altogether.
After Wesker’s explanation, the male snarled. “I see… it would be best not to be bitten, then.” He nodded towards the stairs and continued to make his way up them. “I do not know what state we will find Jenna in… but this may not turn out so well.”
October 26, 2011 at 11:47 pm #53160SeferiaKeymaster“Yes, in the simplest of neanderthal terms, ‘don’t get bitten’,” Wesker rolled his eyes, not really caring what happened to the General.
He continued moving up the stairs, only calmly darting to the side as another of the skinless creatures leaped out from the shadows and lunged toward Sephiroth, who was behind him. For the better part, Wesker had no intentions of lifting a finger to assist the man unless he actually had to.
October 27, 2011 at 12:18 am #53161Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth snarled aggressively at Wesker upon hearing his commentary. He would have attacked him, but there were other creatures between him and Wesker to do so. He expertly cut the leaping creature down, and then kicked it down the stairwell, partially taking his anger out on it.
“Just shut up and keep moving before I send you down the stairs too!” He spat out.
October 27, 2011 at 12:22 am #53162SeferiaKeymasterWesker stopped moving for just a fraction of a second before he dashed in at such speeds that, to a normal person, he would appear to be teleporting. Within milliseconds, the man smashed into Sephiroth, pressing his right hand against the general’s jugular as he attempted to press him against the wall.
“Threats now? As I recall, you were the one that forced me to play babysitter for you and your lovesick adventure,” Wesker glared at Sephiroth. His anger was burning through his veins so hotly that his eyes glowed more than enough to make them fully visible despite his dark glasses. “Are you trying to make me angry?”
October 27, 2011 at 1:30 am #53163Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth reacted by tensing his body. He gave the other man a harsh warning snarl before he attempted to grab at Wesker’s wrist, his grip tight around it.
“Remove yourself,” He spat out in a cool voice, barely being able to contain his rage, “Before I remove your arm from it’s socket.” He glared back at the man with equal rage and defiance. “I regret bringing you in the first place. Do you want to be teleported into the North Sea? You’re fast becoming a good candidate for it.”
October 27, 2011 at 1:41 am #53164SeferiaKeymasterWesker snarled as he actually struggled to keep his grip for a few moments. However, he soon let go of the silver-haired man only to shove him away from him as he returned to stalking up the stairs.
“Stop trying my patience, Sephiroth. I have no obligations to assist you in this endeavor. I will not tolerate any further delays that are caused by your lack of intelligence.”
October 27, 2011 at 2:25 am #53165Kat AclysmKeymaster“If you didn’t call me a Neanderthal,” Sephiroth snarled, “I wouldn’t have threatened you, and we wouldn’t be here. So just shut up and keep moving.”
He continued to make his way up the stairs, attacking whatever dared to get in his way. He was already sick of staring at the back of Wesker’s head and did not make any effort to avoid him as he swung the sword around in the narrow stair-well.
“She’s on this floor,” He grunted finally. “Make it fast.”
October 27, 2011 at 3:10 am #53166SeferiaKeymaster“Your listening skills need vast improvement, Sephiroth. I referred to the terminology that I was using as Neanderthal, not you,” Wesker growled out as he dodged the edge of Sephiroth’s sword. “Must you really use a preposterous weapon like that sword of yours?”
As they reached the floor, Wesker kicked open the door so that he could storm into the hallway and get some good distance between himself and his “partner”. However, as he moved further down the hall, his eyes narrowed as he noticed a familiar scent.
“Heh, perhaps this entire mess is not your wife’s fault after all.”
October 27, 2011 at 3:56 pm #53167Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth stopped in the doorway to take in the scenery. He didn’t see anything to worry about in particular, so he stepped through and followed Wesker down the hallway. “Why do you say that?” He snorted. “I don’t even know what she was doing here in the first place. She doesn’t tell me these things.”
October 27, 2011 at 4:32 pm #53168SeferiaKeymaster“An old friend has apparently visited this area recently,” Wesker simply explained. “I have no doubts that he has employed his regular brutish tactics to get this far.”
Smirking, Wesker glanced back at the General. “Your wife was sent in here to collect data and sabotage the research being conducted.”
October 28, 2011 at 12:15 am #53169Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth snarled as he made his way through the area. The scowl affixed on his face softened slightly when Wesker explained Jenna’s mission. “I don’t know why she couldn’t tell me about that…” He mumbled. “My knowing wouldn’t have jeopardised her mission at all…”
He scanned the area and briskly moved ahead, for Jenna was quite close now. His feelings were mixed – he felt discontent, annoyed, and somewhat unhappy all at once. He had also missed her. He wanted to get to her as quickly as possible.
October 28, 2011 at 1:28 am #53170SeferiaKeymasterAs Sephiroth was nearing Jenna’s location, Wesker slowed down to allow the silver-haired man to take the lead. He did this for two reasons. First, he had no real intentions of being some sort of “hero” for the “damsel in distress”. Second, there happened to be two people already at the caved-in area of the corridor.
One of the men there was a bulky brunette who was trying to push off the rubble from Jenna. Jenna herself was not in the best of shape. She was not only unconscious, but she was bleeding from a long gash along her chest.
As Wesker and Sephiroth neared the men, the brunette quickly turned around and aimed a gun at them. However, his eyes widened before he snarled in frustration. “Wesker!”
October 28, 2011 at 2:39 am #53171Kat AclysmKeymasterCloud stood nearby the scene, though he was more interested in keeping guard while the other man worked to push the rubble off Jenna. His gun was at the ready and he seemed genuinely surprised to see Sephiroth and Wesker when they appeared in the hallway.
“Stay back, you don’t know what’s out there!” He ordered them. “Sephiroth?” He narrowed his eyes and pointed the gun directly at his old rival.
October 28, 2011 at 3:00 am #53172SeferiaKeymaster“Chris,” Wesker smirked with a morbid sense of humor, “you are indeed one of my best men. You saved us all a lot of time.”
The tyrant slowly clapped in a mocking manner, enjoying the fact that he had the chance to badger his old underling. He savored any moment to get under the pestering brunette’s skin. However, his demeanor changed within a split second as he suddenly surged forward toward Chris, shoving Cloud out of the way before he delivered a blow to Redfield’s abdomen.
October 28, 2011 at 4:34 pm #53173Kat AclysmKeymasterCloud stumbled backwards as he was shoved, and his gun went off, firing at the roofing over Sephiroth’s head. The Silver-haired General merely scowled at the sound and didn’t move, even as the bits of plastering and wall-dust came showering down upon him.
“Careless.” Sephiroth growled out, “One day you might actually be able to shoot one of those properly.” He stepped past the blonde and attempted to get closer to Jenna, shoving bits of rubble out of the way in the process.
Cloud merely stared at his old rival, then at the scene of the other two men who were now fighting each other. He glared angrily at the back of the man’s head, then spat out, “Why are you even here?!” He stepped away towards the men, looking for an open opportunity to assist Chris in fending the other man off.
“Why are you here?” Sephiroth replied with equal acidity.
October 29, 2011 at 1:07 am #53174SeferiaKeymasterWesker turned his head as he heard the gun fire off. Snarling, he dashed in toward Cloud before he shoved him against the wall. Using his larger side, the blonde attempted to pin Cloud by lifting him via his jugular as he pressed him against the wall.
“Loosing your touch with the women, Chris?” Wesker snarled back at the brunette who was currently coughing and trying to recover from the blow that he had received earlier.
October 29, 2011 at 3:03 am #53175Kat AclysmKeymasterCloud was easily pinned – there was no possible way for him to dodge somebody as fast as Albert Wesker. He made sputtering, coughing and soft choking sounds as he was pinned against the wall and he immediately dropped his gun. Within seconds he had his hands around Wesker’s wrist, trying to tear his fingers off his throat region.
Sephiroth growled at the silliness around him and merely finished dragging Jenna out from the rubble. He checked her over, and then began what was a very-limited attempt at healing her with Cure-magic from the Materia supplies on his person.
October 29, 2011 at 3:15 am #53176SeferiaKeymaster“I should have known you were still alive,” Chris spat out as he pushed himself up, finally recovering from the pain that Wesker had delivered earlier.
Shaking his head, Chris leveled his gun to shoot at Wesker. However, the blonde reacted as soon as he heard the shot ring out. Releasing Cloud, Wesker seemed to instantly disappear and reappear at Sephiroth’s side as he dodged the shot meant for his head.
“Stubborn as always,” the tyrant growled out in annoyance.
Meanwhile, while Jenna’s wound sealed up a bit, she remained unconscious.
October 29, 2011 at 5:15 am #53177Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth remained nearby Jenna, irritated by the goings-on around him. He began to drag Jenna away, moving back towards the stairs. *”Can you hear me in there?”* He frowned as he tried to contact her telepathically.
Cloud staggered away when he was freed. He gave Chris a brief ‘thumbs-up’ signal and began coughing. “Can we all just stop this nonsense and explain what’s going on…”
October 30, 2011 at 8:08 pm #53178SeferiaKeymasterSince Jenna was still unconscious, she did not respond at all. She just remained limp in Sephiroth’s arms.
Meanwhile, Wesker noticed that Sephiroth was leaving, so he simply smirked at Chris and Cloud. “Well, it seems that playtime is over. We have work to do.”
Wesker gave Chris a mocking wave goodbye as he turned to follow after Sephiroth.
October 30, 2011 at 9:11 pm #53179Kat AclysmKeymasterCloud stuttered slightly as he watched Sephiroth and Wesker leaving. “You can’t just take her away! You don’t know what’s wrong with her! What if she got infected? What happens if it gets out into the population?” He glared suddenly and reached for his gun. “Do you want to kill us all?!”
Sephiroth stopped in his tracks and growled at Wesker. “Does ShinRa have adequate holding facilities for this situation?”
October 30, 2011 at 9:27 pm #53180SeferiaKeymaster“Even if the unique qualities of your relationship with your wife did not make that form of outbreak impossible via her,” Wesker calmly explained, “yes, I am more than qualified to contain a cotangent based off my own work.”
October 31, 2011 at 5:32 am #53181Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth lowered his head slightly as he began to consider what he might have to do in order to properly care for Jenna over the next few days. He laid her out onto the ground and then took bandages out of subspace so he could patch her up.
He began to mutter in a low tone. “Very good. As a precaution, I will put her in quarantine. See to it that she is seen to with the highest quality of care.” He frowned heavily. “She probably isn’t going to like me very much for this.” He picked her up once again and glared in Wesker’s direction.
“We’re leaving. Place your hand on my shoulder and I will teleport us back.”
