Wesker narrowed his eyes at Sephiroth’s statements, but didn’t bother to speak out against him. What the man thought of his skills meant little to him. He had the right to be a god with or without the aproval of the silver-haired man next to him. Though, the other man did have a few very interesting abilities..
After a few more moments, the two were faced with a set of iron bars that were meant to keep trespassers out. However, Wesker didn’t care much for the obstacle at all. Instead, he simply walked up to the bars before he firmly gripped onto it and began to push it. Within a few seconds after the tyrant began to exert his strength, the framework for the bars gave way. Thus, he simply shoved the bars to the ground.
October 16, 2011 at 9:52 pm #53133Kat AclysmKeymaster“I could have done that if I tried.” Sephiroth stated plainly as he followed the other man through the now-bent and open barrier. “You’re not doing anything I wouldn’t have thought of just yet.”
He kept a firm expression as he continued down the sewer pipe. Although he could see easily in the low level of light, he took a flash-light out of his pocket and began to shine it ahead.
October 16, 2011 at 10:00 pm #53134SeferiaKeymasterWesker grunted, not caring enough to return a comment toward Sephiroth. He had not volunteered to assist the man, and he felt no need to defend his abilities nor skills.
When the General turned on the flashlight, Wesker glared at him from behind his glasses. “Is your eyesight so poor that you actually need additional light?”
Wesker finally stopped below a ladder before he grunted. “I believe this will provide entrance.”
October 17, 2011 at 5:11 am #53135Kat AclysmKeymaster“Phhh, no.” Sephiroth responded almost immediately. “I did it for your benefit.” Without adding to the statement, he simply followed behind, at least until Wesker had stopped in front of the ladder.
He stepped up to it and reached out to tap it experimentally with a glove.
“Mmm, maintenance ladder.” He commented idly. “Probably doesn’t lead anywhere useful.”
October 17, 2011 at 4:25 pm #53136SeferiaKeymaster“It will lead into the building,” Wesker stated with certainty. “Unless you had intentions of staying here all day long.”
The blonde gave his undesired partner a cruel smirk before he leaped up to grip onto the ladder. Soon after, Wesker forced open a grate that lead into a boiler room. Once he had pulled himself out of the shaft, the tyrant began to dust himself off, since he was not particularly fond of the sludge he had been walking through.
October 19, 2011 at 12:38 am #53137Kat AclysmKeymaster“I’m sure it will lead somewhere… perhaps.” Sephiroth scowled as he muttered aloud. “Even if it doesn’t lead anywhere useful, I’d rather not stay here if at all possible.” He followed the other up the ladder, his ire rising even further. Though, once in the boiler room, he began to bat at his coat, snarling at how bad the smell was.
“Well I have to give you credit at the very least.” Sephiroth growled out. “I don’t particularly fancy crawling through miles of ducts, however.”
October 19, 2011 at 3:30 am #53138SeferiaKeymasterWesker glared at Sephiroth through the corners of his eyes before he grunted.
“That was only three quarters of a mile at best. Also, given that your mind cannot tell the difference, we did not crawl, we waded at best through only ankle-deep currents. Barely what can be classified as ‘unbearable’,” the man clarified as he moved toward the exit.
The tyrant simply grunted as he pushed against the door in order to force open the lock. Once released from the boiler room, Wesker tilted his head upward as he observed that only the emergency lights were active. “Interesting.”
October 19, 2011 at 11:16 am #53139Kat AclysmKeymaster“I didn’t say we crawled here,” Sephiroth made a loud sound to express the fact that he was very unhappy, “I said now that we’re in this room, I would be highly unimpressed if we had to crawl through miles of ducting. We ARE in a boiler-room now, yes? Good.”
“What’s interesting?” He scanned the area, then headed for one of the doors. It was locked fast. “I can teleport-jump us through to the other side, perhaps.” He sniffed the air. “What is that?”
October 19, 2011 at 7:38 pm #53140SeferiaKeymaster“Hn,” Wesker released an non-committal grunt as he stepped further into the hallway, not feeling like carrying on any small-talk with the other man. He, for one, just wanted to get this entire business done and over with so that he could return to his research.
“I am surprised that you do not recognize the nature of that smell. Given your background, I would have thought you’d be familiar with the scent of blood and decay,” Wesker sharply teased the silver-haired man. “Now, I assume you have an idea as to where your wife is?”
October 19, 2011 at 10:51 pm #53141Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth growled in anger as he followed Wesker out the door that he had opened up. “I know exactly where she is, she’s many levels higher up. She’s not moving either, so she’s probably caged-up or something similar…”
“Of course I recognise the smell of blood and decay!” He snapped. “I don’t know where it is coming from, though.”
October 19, 2011 at 11:59 pm #53142SeferiaKeymaster“Much further down the hall and possibly on another floor,” Wesker growled out in frustration. “Now, do you know where you wish to go, or do you plan on pointlessly ambling around this entire complex until we happen to find your wife?”
October 21, 2011 at 2:43 pm #53143Kat AclysmKeymaster“Obviously, I know where I wish to go.” Sephiroth made an angry snarl as if the question was ridiculous. “Why did I even bring you? You’re being pretty useless right now. You haven’t done anything I couldn’t have done on my own so far.”
Sephiroth moved ahead, thoroughly pissed. He headed down the corridor, intending to lead the way from now on.
October 21, 2011 at 2:47 pm #53144SeferiaKeymasterWesker grit his teeth at the silver-haired man’s outburst. “I have no means of knowing where your wife is, General. You have indicated that you have some means of tracking her, or have you been bluffing this entire time?”
The blonde didn’t care that Sephiroth was leading the way, nor did he care that Sephiroth was angry. He simply moved on ahead. The sooner this was all over, the sooner he would no longer need to deal with this troublesome mess.
October 21, 2011 at 6:26 pm #53145Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth’s expression was set in a deep scowl as he made his way down the corridor. He didn’t seem to care that the hallways were dimmed or that the smell of blood or decay still hung heavily in the air. For the time being, his highest priority was to head for Jenna’s life-energy despite the fact he had no clue how to get there.
“Of course I’m not bluffing…” He snarled finally.
October 21, 2011 at 7:10 pm #53146SeferiaKeymasterWesker released a simple “harumph” to Sephiroth’s statement. He did not know whether or not he believed that the General was telling the truth. However, for the time being, he did not care enough to dissect the matter.
As they reached the nearest staircase, the shadow of a man in a labcoat became visible. At the moment, the man was just staring blankly at the wall. However, Wesker immediately recognized the man for what he was, a “zombie”. However, he did not feel any compunction to warn the General nor to rush in there to take out the infected individual. Instead, Wesker just smirked as he waited to see what the reaction from his traveling companion would be.
As for Jenna, Sephiroth would be able to track her enough to know that she was much closer to ground level than where the two men currently were. In fact, she was located in a collapsed hallway on the B1 level, completely knocked out.
October 23, 2011 at 9:42 pm #53147Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth’s entire attitude changed when he saw the shadow of the lab-coated man in the poor lighting. He stopped dead in his tracks and made a short low defensive snarling sound as he lowered his left hand as if reaching for something. A moment later, he had teleported his Masamune to him, and he tightly gripped onto the hilt.
He said nothing as he slowly began to pace forwards, eyes ever glued on the shadowy figure’s position.
October 23, 2011 at 10:10 pm #53148SeferiaKeymasterWesker hung back as Sephiroth moved closer to the infected man. He could clearly hear the soft groaning from the “zombie” and had no doubts that the creature would attack soon. Still, he personally felt as if he would not be in any danger whatsover. Not to mention, this would be a perfect time to observe the General’s abilities.
October 23, 2011 at 11:54 pm #53149Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth paced ever closer, his snarl getting louder as he inched towards the target. With a sudden lunge forwards, he rammed the butt of his sword hard into the zombie-man’s chest, causing it to make a sickening crunch sound as he broke the creature’s sternum. In the same second, he withdrew the hilt and swung the sword around despite the fact that the tight hallways encumbered such a long weapon. In the same sweeping movement of swinging his sword, he brought it forwards and stepped backwards, impaling the tip directly into the zombie.
“There are most likely more of these.” He growled out.
October 24, 2011 at 12:00 am #53150SeferiaKeymaster“There are,” Wesker stated with full certainty.
He stepped forward, gazing over the slumped form of the zombie that Sephiroth had dispatched. He knew from his experience in creating these creatures that it was far from permanently dispatched by a few large holes in its chest. So, the man released a frustrated sigh through his nose as he pulled out his Samurai Edge to plant a bullet into the creature’s skull. While he normally would not have raised a hand to assist anyone other than himself, he did not feel like wasting time with the increased mutation caused by the Progenitor virus creations.
“Now, I must suggest that we recover your wife. I have no time to waste staring at corpses.”
October 24, 2011 at 1:19 am #53151Kat AclysmKeymasterThe silver-haired General slowly nodded his head and stepped over the lifeless corpse on the ground. He made his way down the hallway, his eyes casting their unnatural light onto the narrow passageway walls as he walked on.
“I have no time to waste either.” He grunted. He paused to scan the area, and then moved down another corridor. “This way. We need to find an elevator, or fire-stairs.”
October 24, 2011 at 1:54 am #53152SeferiaKeymasterWesker grunted in annoyance at the General’s statements of the obvious. As he continued on, he permitted for his companion to take care of nearly all of the infected individuals that they encountered. In fact, it seemed that most of the creatures had no interest in Wesker whatsoever.
When they came to the elevators, they found that the cab had crashed and thus the passage from the bottom most level was blocked. So, the blonde moved to kick open the door to the stairwell. As he entered the stairs, he tilted his head just slightly as he caught the sound of a familiar hiss.
“It seems that either this facility had inadequate security measures, or your wife was considerably effective at sabotage. Though she did fail to extract herself.”
October 24, 2011 at 5:09 am #53153Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth made an unimpressed sound at Wesker’s commentary of his mate. “It seems to be a mixture of all three elements, I suppose.” He stopped in the now-broken doorway of the stair-well. “Hissing… what is that, exactly?”
He shook his head as he peered into the well, glancing up, and then down. He sensed something… but was unable to tell what it was.
“I do wonder what has been going on here.” He scowled. “This isn’t an ordinary every-day scientific facility, is it.” The General narrowed his eyes – it wasn’t a question. “Something illegal has been going on here, and now it has gotten out of control.”
October 24, 2011 at 5:15 am #53154SeferiaKeymasterWesker turned his head to give Sephiroth a cold glare from behind his sunglasses. He was by no means so slow as to not catch onto the fact that the man was trying to put blame on him.
“My name is in no ways on this building nor the company that owns it,” the blonde attempted to deflect the question as he began to stride up the stairs.
He knew full well that the BOWs known as lickers were lurking further up the stairs, he could both hear their hissing and scratching and smell them, for they had a distinct smell given that they had mutated to a point where they lost their skin. No matter, most creatures that were infected by the T-virus and its relative strains paid no heed to the tyrant due to the virus running through his very own veins. Of course, his parnter didn’t have the same security blanket.
October 24, 2011 at 9:32 pm #53155Kat AclysmKeymaster“I didn’t say you were a part of the activities here.” Sephiroth stated rather bluntly. He was silent for a moment, and then he raised a brow, smirking. “Or are you trying to deny something? Guilty conscience, perhaps?”
He stepped into the stair-well and began to make his way down, his sword at the ready. ‘She’s down this way, near the ground-floor. We have to move quickly,” He snarled out, “She’s not moving.”
October 24, 2011 at 9:39 pm #53156SeferiaKeymaster“If I had any inclinations of having some sort of feelings of guilt over this location, I would only be angry at myself for being associated with a company with terrible security precautions as what I’ve observed here,” Wesker coldly responded. “However, I have no association with this company. No contracts on either my end nor their end will ever be uncovered. So, the only regret I have is that an incompetent organization got a hold of my virus.”
Wesker suddenly stepped to the side as a rather long tongue attempted to spear him.
