“I need to….” Sephiroth practically had to force out the next few words, “..touch you.” He snarled aggressively, quickly adding to his statement, “In order to teleport back to where we need to go, I need to place a hand on you. Otherwise it does not work.”
He was very uncomfortable at the thought of touching another man, especially this one. But he had little choice in the matter. He slowly reached out and placed two fingers on Wesker’s shoulder, making another aggressive snarl as he did so, wanting to convey the message that he was every bit as uncomfortable with the idea as Wesker was.
October 10, 2011 at 4:08 am #53108SeferiaKeymasterWesker’s fingers twitched before he slowly balled his right hand into a fist. The tyrant grit his teeth as he resisted the urge to punch Sephiroth.
“Teleportation?” The man scoffed. “Nonsense. Only simpletons believe that the illusion of teleportation actually exists.
October 10, 2011 at 2:51 pm #53109Kat AclysmKeymaster“I am no simpleton.” Sephiroth growled out. “Observe.” Wesker would have felt the first tug of energy as Sephiroth teleported them to the first jump – placing them on one of the tiny Hawaiian islands.
“It’s not an illusion. I can teleport us anywhere on the planet, or at least I could before the worlds collided and merged…” He was already a little tired due to the fact he had been teleporting around so many times in such a short period of time.
October 10, 2011 at 3:00 pm #53110SeferiaKeymasterWesker’s eyes widened as the world around him distorted. Few things took him by surprise; however, being transported from one spot to another spot on the planet was not a feat that he had ever actually believed to be scientifically possible. Still, rather than gasp in awe, the man just clenched his jaw as his lips drew into a thin line.
“Impressive…,” he slowly drawled out as he examined his surroundings before he returned to looking at Sephiroth. “And what does this merge have to do with your ability to perform-” he waved his hands at their surroundings “-this..”
October 10, 2011 at 9:22 pm #53111Kat AclysmKeymaster“It is necessary in order to teleport and return us to the facility where my mate is.” Sephiroth grunted in irritation. Without another word or warning, he teleported them a second time, this time making a much longer jump to a rather dead looking fell-land area in northern England.
“…one more and we’re there…” He panted slightly.
October 10, 2011 at 9:37 pm #53112SeferiaKeymasterWesker snarled, most irritated by both the lack of proper explanation and warning. If not for the fact that his current position required for him not to kill Sephiroth, he would have happily plunged his fist into the general’s ribcage. He most certainly did not enjoy being toyed around with.
“You are nearly as bad as a Redfield,” the blond growled out. “I said what does the merge of two planets have to do with your limited ability to go anywhere. You had commented on such. Explain yourself.”
October 11, 2011 at 8:40 pm #53113Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth snarled in return with equal irritation. If not for the fact he needed the man, he would have happily taken his masamune out from subspace and carved him into tiny pieces.
“I don’t know what you are talking about,” He acidly retorted to the comment about being a ‘Redfield’. “But this world merged with another one, and in-case you couldn’t work it out, the planet is perhaps nearly 1.5 times larger than it was before. This means the surface area is greater, and my ability to teleport long distances has diminished in comparison to it’s new surface-area.”
October 11, 2011 at 8:46 pm #53114SeferiaKeymasterWesker grunted as the explanation was finally given to him, finding no flaws in what the man had said. However, he was still quite agitated over being dragged away from his work. So, even though he would not have done it anyway for he never had been the one to play nice with others, he did not warm up to Sephiroth with the given explanation.
“Very well,” the tyrant scanned there surroundings. “I assume you intend to continue with these displacement maneuvers of yours.”
October 12, 2011 at 2:18 am #53115Kat AclysmKeymaster“Until we are exactly where we need to be, yes.” Sephiroth’s reply was short and blunt.
“I don’t know what sort of position the mate is in right now, but charging in there may not be terribly intelligent, especially if she is playing around with deadly communicable viruses again.”He shot Wesker an accusing glare after making the statement.
October 12, 2011 at 2:40 pm #53116SeferiaKeymaster“Hn..,” Wesker grunted in a non-committal way as the General glared at him. Feeling as if the other man wasn’t about to do any more of his transporting activities soon, the blonde reached up to roughly swipe Sephiroth’s hand away from his shoulder. “Is it common in your culture to refer to spouses as mates? Your terminology choices are uncommon to say the least.”
October 13, 2011 at 2:20 am #53117Kat AclysmKeymaster“I suppose it isn’t common terminology at all,” Sephiroth grunted with annoyance and began to brush away the non-existent dirt on his hand where he had touched the other man. “But ‘partner’, ‘mate’ and ‘spouse’ are interchangeable terms. Jenna started referring to me as her mate and so it has stuck.”
He shrugged.
October 13, 2011 at 2:30 am #53118SeferiaKeymasterWesker grunted once more at his companion’s explanation, though he rolled his eyes. Soon after, the man crossed his arms and began to glare at Sephiroth.
“Exactly how long do you intend on resting here?” the man shortly questioned.
October 13, 2011 at 2:45 am #53119Kat AclysmKeymaster“No amount of time. I am rested again to make another jump. This one will be the last…” Sephiroth glanced off into the far-distance as he tried to determine where to land with the last jump. Once he was settled, he placed his hand on Wesker’s shoulder again and made the teleportation leap.
This time, he appeared in mid-air, three-feet above the top of a large bank building.
October 13, 2011 at 2:49 am #53120SeferiaKeymasterIf Wesker had been a lesser man, he may have fallen onto his back. Luckily for him, his virus had given him more than enough composition, awareness, and agility to react to the fact that there was no ground under his feet and land on his feet. Though, the man did sink to his knees momentarily as he fully regained his composure.
“Your execution leaves a lot to be desired,” the blonde commented as he stood upright and dusted off his leather coat.
October 13, 2011 at 4:16 am #53121Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth made a tired and irritated sound at the other man. “You should be honoured that you could even be sent over here at all… to fly here would have taken you at least 15 hours.” He straightened himself up, and then scanned the area for Jenna’s life-energy. He turned in the direction he could sense it and stared at one of the other buildings nearby.
“I have no idea what to do now. Rushing in seems foolish.”
October 13, 2011 at 4:22 am #53122SeferiaKeymaster“Yes, I imagine that if you had planned to simply rush in there like a Redfield would, you wouldn’t have bothered collecting me,” Wesker drawled out as he leaped off the roof and onto the ground. In part, he found it easy to evaluate Sephiroth’s battle strategies since he had once been captain of a tactical unit. “At least you have some semblance of intelligence. Did you do any reconnaissance at all?”
October 13, 2011 at 11:49 pm #53123Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth leaped off the roof shortly afterwards. He landed down on the ground nearby the other male and began to observe his surroundings. He shook his head when asked about reconnaissance and simply folded his arms, scowling.
“Not very much,” He admitted with an irritated snort, “I merely observed the building and surroundings and determined that it would be careless to rush in.”
October 13, 2011 at 11:57 pm #53124SeferiaKeymasterWesker scowled at Sephiroth, less than impressed by the man. However, he did not feel like wasting the energy into spending any time reprimanding the silver-haired General’s lack of foresight. Instead, the blonde simply stalked off so that he could circle the building in order to find some form of entrance that would work.
After about an hour of touring the outskirts of the building, Wesker stopped at the ledge of a river-bank. Bellow him was an outlet drain. Without giving Sephiroth any warning, the tyrant leaped down into the drain, figuring that it would be the most discreet way to enter the building.
October 14, 2011 at 12:56 am #53125Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth scowled as Wesker headed away. He followed after him as he circled the building and kept silent as he observed what the man was doing. As the time wore on, he became more and more impatient. When he suddenly headed down into the river-bank drain, the man made a made a loud noise of disapproval as He didn’t particularly want to go in there.
However, right now there weren’t many other options. He followed the blonde inside.
“All your training and this is the best you can come up with?”
October 14, 2011 at 1:04 am #53126SeferiaKeymasterWesker paused in mid-gait to stare back at Sephiroth. A deep frown formed on his lips as he studied the other man’s expression.
“Well, I must wonder what your wife has said concerning my background, for I see no reason for you to believe that I have any training in these matters,” Wesker attempted to brush off the General’s statement. “Unlike some, my life is not written about in countless volumes to be studied and debated.”
October 14, 2011 at 4:49 am #53127Kat AclysmKeymasterSephiroth’s eyes narrowed at Wesker’s question. He stopped momentarily to stare at the other, then suddenly stated, “She didn’t say very much about you. I’ve been reading your files. You’d be surprised what has already been written down.”
He shrugged and kept going once more.
October 14, 2011 at 2:26 pm #53128SeferiaKeymaster“Reading my files, hm?” Wesker mused as he continued on, less than humored. “I must wonder what files you managed to find, Sephiroth. There are only a handful of individuals that know much about my past, and the most obsessed of them is a simpering fool.”
October 15, 2011 at 12:07 am #53129Kat AclysmKeymaster“If you’re so desperate to see, I shall show you what is accessible in the ShinRa network, later. I can also show you a few unusual ways of garnering information that you wouldn’t have thought of.” Sephiroth broadly smirked, pleased that he thought he had the upper hand there.
“For how long do you plan to guide us through this river of excrement?” He snorted. “I very much desire to leave and get back above the ground as soon as possible, if I may.”
October 15, 2011 at 12:10 am #53130SeferiaKeymaster“I do not exactly have a detailed blueprints of the build of this complex, Sephiroth,” Wesker snarled out, aggitated. “So, we will simply have to continue on until we find an actual entrance.
“And exactly how much do you believe that you know of me and my activities?”
October 16, 2011 at 2:32 pm #53131Kat AclysmKeymaster“Try as you might… we’re not going to discuss how much knowledge I have while in the middle of a sewer drain.” Sephiroth growled out. “No matter how much you may enjoy that line of conversation, I’m going to disappoint you because I’m simply not going to allow it.”
“I just… assumed your skills would be better than this.” He stated finally.
