Desiree: *yelps as Droozun nips on her shin. She then hops on her other foot as she reaches down to grip onto the shin that was nipped, as if that would get rid of the stinging. However, she stops as she hears Kalysto* Huh?
Droozun: *feeling that he has made his point, he stops thumping his tail and looks up at her, once again patiently awaiting instruction*
Kalysto: I said, you summoned it. As in, brought it from the Nether into the tangible physical world. The demon follows its summoner. And because the Felhunter is too stupid to have a mind of it’s own, it thinks you’re its master right now.
Desiree: *grumbles and lets go of her shin. She then looks at Sephiroth* He has a mind of his own… If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have told me to summon him. *she nudges Droozun* Why didn’t you tell me that you would follow me around though??
Kalysto: No, it doesn’t. It’s relatively brainless. It does make decisions of it’s own, but they are simpleminded and only when you give it the option to. *sighs at her* Hey, don’t ask me why it wanted to follow you around – maybe it likes you. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. It was pre-tamed for you anyway. *bends down to pick up the Felhunter, at least until it gets angry and begins to bite him* Sheesh… *backs off, dusting himself off* I hope you two are happy together. *glares down at the Felhunter* Traitor. *begins to wander away again*
Droozun: *makes an aggitated noise and ruffles his spikey hairs before settling again*
Desiree: *yelps and rushes after Kalysto* Wait! *She then reaches out to grasp onto the elf’s left arm and shakes her head* I really didn’t know. I don’t want to steal your demon from you. I just thought he wanted to be out from the astral plane.. *she shakes her head* How do I give him back to you?
Kalysto: *frowns at her* Yeah. Sure you didn’t. What did you think would happen? *shrugs* Not like they’re hard to get or anything. If you want that Felhunter so bad, keep it. Like I said, it’s been pre-tamed, so you’re not going to have any trouble with it. *shakes his head* I don’t really want it back. You own it now.
Desiree: I thought he’d just be around then would run back to you, since you were the one who tamed him… I really didn’t want to steal your guy. *she shakes her head then looks down at Droozun* ~What is up with you two? Why the hell do you two not want to be with each other??~
Kalysto: You didn’t steal it, you summoned it. There’s a difference. *raises an eyebrow* So you want to give it back? *scratches the side of his head, seeming confused* I really don’t mind. If you want to run around with it for a while and use it for something, go ahead.
Droozun: *begins to make grunting noises, then backs up, waving his stalks as he makes motions and gestures with them. Unfortunately for Desiree, most of it seems random and perhaps a bit silly, so he doesn’t essentially communicate anything at all.
Desiree: How many times do I have to say that I summoned it just to let it free from the astral plane. I had not great master plan. I was just meditating, then he came up behind me and whined. If I had known he’d follow me around, I would have told him to go to you. *she then glances at the felhunter and frowns* ~What is that supposed to mean?~
Droozun: *makes a loud chirp and flops onto the ground, giving up*
Kalysto: *stares at the Felhunter, then at Desiree* I’ve never seen it do that before. What are you teaching it? *crouches down nearby the demon and pokes it, earning him a sharp nip on his finger* Damn it!
Desiree: I’m not teaching it anything. I’m trying to ask it why it doesn’t want to go back to you. He-it’s given me picture images in my head before as reponses. But now… I don’t know what it’s doing. *she shakes her head* ~Just tell me why you don’t want to be with Kalysto and why you didn’t tell me I’d be your master if I summoned you..~
Droozun: *rises to it’s feet again, and begins to make motions with his body, cantering left and right as he makes circles around her. As he’s doing this, he sends flash memories of being violently ripped from his place in the demon-plane and among his kin, shoved into the physical world by Kalysto when he was a few years younger. As he does this, he also sends her a feeling of sharp pain with it. He begins to slow down as he continues with the mental pictures of Kalysto growing, the pain descending to a minimum and then to nothing. He then makes a huffy noise as he sends his next set of mental pictures, being instructed to undertake tasks where he would die by monsters or by humans, only to be resummoned back to do the exact same thing. After all of this he lays on the ground, seeming exhausted from such communication*
Kalysto: He, it… pick it up and look underneath it. It has no genitals. Demons don’t reproduce by sexual intercourse. They eat energy and break apart into more demons.
Desiree: Yes, I get the idea that they don’t reproduce. But that doesn’t mean it can’t think in a more what can be termined masculine manner than another demon.. So I shall say “he”.. *she watches Droozun as he circles around her. She then blinks and looks at Kalysto* Umm… I think he doesn’t like dying or having been ripped away from his other demons… *she sends Kalysto the same set of images that she just got from Droozun*
Kalysto: Huh, weird… *shakes his head* I don’t know what to say. It’s just a demon. It’s a tool – you use it to do your bidding. *raises an eyebrow* If you want to think of it as a companion pet that you sit on your lap and cuddle with, then you’re a fool.
Desiree: Well, he seems to rather like being treated with that sort of care. *she kneels down next to Droozun and gently pats the top of his head* Still… how do I give him back to you? I just wanted to let him out so he can romp around.
Kalysto: *shrugs at her comment* Its pretty easy – all I have to do is summon him again. But he’s already in the physical realm so you have to kill him first. He probably won’t like that either, seeing as though you just bound him here. You could always wait until it dies but that could take years.
Desiree: Well… Is there a way to unsummon him without killing him? *she glances around and sighs* I guess I can ask him to chase the monsters in the area. One of them is bound to kill him eventually..
Droozun: *makes a high pitched sound at Desiree’s words and lowers his head, grunting in frustration*
Kalysto: Well there is, you can dismiss him. But… unless you know how to do that… *sighs and begins to ponder, at least until he hears the noise. With that, he stares at the demon, then at Desiree* What the hell kind of instructions are you giving it? It’s never shown that level of sentience before. Does it feel happy or sad? I always thought it just… did stuff. And follow orders.
Desiree: I’m not giving him any orders whatsoever. *crosses her arms and shakes her head* And don’t ask me why you haven’t noticed this behavior before. He sure seems expressive enough to me whenever he sneaked into my room.. when I had a room before.. *furiously shaking her head, she sighs* Ok.. teach me how to dismiss him.
Kalysto: I’ve honestly never noticed it before. It’s weird and unusual… and highly erratic for something of his species to do. They normally sit there and follow orders. Even in the demon realm, they do that. They just simply aren’t smart enough to work out anything else. *sighs, rubbing his temples* As for dismissing him, just use the same summoning spell to send him back where he came from.
Droozun: *begins to pant again*
Desiree: *frowns* Really? *looks about, hoping the runes that Droozun helped her make before are still viable* It’s just that simple? Summon him again and he vanishes?
Kalysto: You drew the runes on the ground? Oh, you amateur. *smirks in amusement* No, you have to not draw the runes, focus on the place you summoned him from, picture the runes in your mind, and send him back that way. Its more complicated than bringing him here, that’s for sure. *glances around, looking unhappy* A more skilled Warlock could show you… I don’t have any of my books any more.
Desiree: *hisses* Well, everyone has to start from some where, Kalysto. So, yes, I drew a bunch of runes on the ground. *she gets up and looks around a bit. Soon enough, she spots the area that she used to draw runes on and points on the blood-stains* There, see. Make fun of me. *mumbling, she then looks at Droozun before attempting to use the spell in the manner that Kalysto is describing in order to send Droozun back “home”*
Kalysto: Phh, that’s nothing to make fun of. I’ve written entire spell passages in blood before. *waves his scarred hand at her, then shoves it in his pocket* Depends what you do with it that really matters. *folds his arms and watches her* Oh, you’re trying to send it back? Let’s see then.
Droozun: *lazily itches his side and yawns, just sitting there otherwise*
