Jenna: Yes, I do. Especially in a small town like this. *Shakes her head at the Cancer* It matters not, you will need to find some way to make a living eventually. You cannot just look to have me steal everything for you. Hrmph, my stockpile is now buried in rubble anyway.
Rufus: OF course, Sephiroth. *he sets his papers down then wheels around from his desk* However, before we speak, I must ask you one question. *he grabs the paper that he had at the edge of his table then hands it to Sephiroth* Your daughter was recently in Midgar, correct? She has no tendencies to rape, correct?
Sephiroth: *blinks* What the… *quickly shakes his head* I didn’t raise her to be like that, she is a good person. *pauses* Mostly. *grunts* The point is, no, she doesn’t. Why in Hades would you even ask something like that?
Cancer: I’ll steal it myself then. Or join a freak show.
Rufus: I did not think that would be the case either. However, I had to ask, considering what the recent news has been from Midgar. *he once again tries to hand the paper over to Sephiroth* Do not take this the wrong way, but I know you are not responsible for these acts.
Jenna: *loudly groans* That’s it. *she gets to her feet then grips onto Cancer’s arm. She also casts a spell to lock Cancer’s form at least while she has contact with the girl, so that she wouldn’t just run off* Come with me. We’re going to see about finding you some financial standing of your own.
Cancer: *yelps in a panic* Hey! I’m fine, really! *cringes and tries to disintergrate her form, hissing as it doesn’t work* Where are you taking meee?! NO!!
Zach: *returns to the house with a large decapitated rabbit* Xelong? *telepathically calls out to him, indicating that he has brought food*
Sephiroth: What is this? *picks up the paper report, narrowing his eyes as he reads over it* Reports of a blue skinned creature raping women? *snorts and tosses the paper back onto the table* I don’t know anything about this… I assisted in kiling Jenova some time ago. She was literally disintergrated.
Xelong: *was sleeping on Zach’s new bed. However, as soon as he receives the message that Zach brought food home, he leaps to his feet and dashes down to where Zach is* ~Mine!~
Rufus: *Reaches up to flick his bangs out of his eyes* Yes, I am aware that you were not involved. As I said, I know you weren’t anywhere near Midgar. However, that does not change what has occurred there. *he shakes his head* You may want to form a team to investigate this incident? *shrugging, he continues to wheel toward a more private room* Anyway, you wanted to talk?
Jenna: *ignores Cancer’s whining and continues to drag her along. Finally, she stops in front of the desk to the general store. She then looks at the clerk* Are you the manager here?
Zach: *chuckles as he watches the dragon rush towards him. He lays the rabbit out on the ground for him to take and backs off, not wanting him to get growly or suddenly posessive over his food* *”I took the head off because quite frankly I don’t like the idea of you eating brain matter.”*
Sephiroth: I did… *frowns, following him* I will order an investigation into the incident. I don’t suppose I have much in the way of armored patrolmen, do I? I would like the creature captured if possible. *mumbles* I am beginning to sound like Hojo…
*the desk clerk nods his head* My wife and I have been running this shop for the last fifteen years. Been through all kinds of trouble, through boom and slide. We’ll always be here. *chuckles*
Jenna: Right… That was too much information. *snorting, she shoves Cancer forward* My daughter wants a television. She needs employment. Employ her. *narrows her eyes, expecting her demands to be met*
Rufus: Unfortunately, no, we do not. However, I can give you the contact number for some mercenaries.. For now, you’re going to need to recruit. I am lucky that the TURKs have been loyal all these years. *he rolls into the room* Shut the door, if you want.
Xelong: *chirps as he spots the rabbit. He then dashes in and begins to dig in. His tail happily wags as he gulps down the flesh from the rabbit*
*the desk clerk shakes his head* We’re not looking for an assistant right now, ooh… *glances at his calander* Come back in a few weeks though. All kinds of people are movin’ in. Business is going to pick up for sure.
Sephiroth: *pulls the door closed behind him, then sighs as he stands behind it* This question may come off as rather odd, especially coming from somebody like me… *turns his attention to the window, staring out of it though not looking at anything particular*
Jenna: Hrmph, very well. Who in this town needs a teenager assistant. My girl here needs something to expend her energy on. I care not how much she gets paid either.
Rufus: Some can say that anything from you can be considered rather odd. *shakes his head* Take your time, Sephiroth.
*the desk clerk scratches his head* There’s a cleanup crew in the south part of town. They’re trying to fill the hole in. Go talk to em, maybe their employer will give you an’ your daughter a shot at it. But it’s hard physical work, mind you.
Sephiroth: *grunts, scowling* You are forgiven for thinking that… *moves to take a seat in the room nearby the door* About this… wedding thing… *snorts* How public does it have to be?
Jenna: Oh, I’m certain that she has a lot of energy to expend. Doesn’t she? *she nudges Cancer* Where can I find this clean-up crew?
Rufus: I can do my best to try to public out of your personal affairs, Sephiroth. However- *he waves his hands at their surroundings* -ShinRa is not the force that it once was. I can only try to influence things to a point now of days.
Sephiroth: *makes a soft groaning sound* So for the purpose of show, I have to dress up, have my mate dress up and do a proper formal wedding…? *leans back in his chair, none too happy about the thought of that* Is there any way I can get out of it?
Rufus: I have told you that this is a request that I strongly suggest. However, if you honestly do not want to be wed.. Well, it will make our job harder, but I will not remove your position for it. *he nods* However, if you do wed, yes, you will need to get formal atire for both of you.
Sephiroth: *sighs* I don’t really wish to do that. Wear formal attire, I mean. *shakes his head* Where would I find a jeweller in this town? *looks down at the floor* I need to buy an engagement ring as well as wedding bands. *grunts in frustration*
Rufus: *looks up at the ceiling* I have heard of military officials wearing their “dress” uniforms for their weddings. If you wished to do that, I doubt that anyone would object. *he shrugs then rolls over to a computer console* As for a jewler, I believe there is one in the northeast part of this town.
Sephiroth: *ponders for a few moments about the dress uniform situation, then slowly nods his head* I think I have some available that would suit the occaison. *sighs and turns his attention away, then looks out the window* It’s going to be very interesting to say the least…
Rufus: I cannot say that I can relate. As you should well know, I’ve been a bachelor and have no prospects coming any time soon. *he shakes his head* Is there anything else I can help you with, Sephiroth? I do not mean to be rude, but I do have a business to run.
Sephiroth: Phh… *waves a hand and shakes his head* No, that was it. *moves to his feet* You have been most helpful. Thank you for your time. *moves out the door, not bothering with goodbyes. He heads out of the building and begins to walk towards the northeast part of town to hunt down the said jeweller*
Jenna: *is currently busy dragging Cancer to the area where the clean-up crew are supposed to be. Once there, she shoves Cancer forward* She wants a part time job. Hire her.
*one of the workers looks up at Jenna, then over at Cancer. He picks up a shovel and tosses it to the pair’s feet* Start digging.
Cancer: *sneers* I don’t wanna work in the dirt… I’m not a bug!
Sephiroth: *walks across the bridge, not noticing Jenna nearby as he heads for the northeast part of town* *”I will be back later. I have errands to run.”*
Jenna: *Rolls her eyes at Cancer* Do you want a television or not? Work, get monetary means, then buy what you want. That is the way it will be from now on. The same goes for Zach and Desiree. *she then turns to leave Cancer with the workers*
Cancer: *watches Jenna leave hopelessly, then sighs and picks up the shovel, beginning to dig* Stupid work… I hate it… *flicks dirt away into the hole, growling*
Sephiroth: *wanders into the jewellery store. He spends a fair amount of time there, looking at both bands and set jewellery, and wouldn’t return for some time to come*
Jenna: *doesn’t bother to go looking for Seph at all, figuring that he is busy with his new responsibilities. Instead, she returns home then moves to relax on a couch in the living room area. She then mutters* I need to get my book collection back.. *sighing, she leans back and closes her eyes*
Sephiroth: *just spends his time in the jewellery store, browsing for now. After a time, something in particular catches his eye, so he asks the guy behind the desk to keep it aside for him, with comments about paying for it over the weeks to come. With that he leaves the shop and glances around before taking off to the air, flying away from the small town altogether*
