Kalysto: Hey, point noted. *taps the side of his head* Mental note? Desiree knows jack shit. *chuckles and moves to sit down on the bed in the room* Now, where was I before…? Ah, I remember. *pulls off his shirt and climbs into the bed, pulling the covers over himself* Draw the curtains closed, would ya? I still have my hangover and I want to sleep it off.
Sephiroth: I think I will address that with them, actually. *grunts* Why would they even want to watch me? The fact that I have children doesn’t say anything about my sanity? *pauses* Actually, it doesn’t.
Desiree: Hey! I know more than that. I just don’t magically know stuff that I haven’t encountered. Hrmph.. *sighing, she telekenticly closes the curtains* You may have those funky ears, but at least I don’t need to travel half a room to do something simple like closing blinds. *she then moves to sit on the edge of the bed*
Jenna: *chuckles at Sephiroth’s words* Yes, that doesn’t say a word about your sanity at all. *shakes her head* But yes, I do agree that you should confront them about the practice.
Kalysto: You don’t…. *pauses* But at least I can…. *pauses again* ….shit. I don’t even know what I was saying. *grabs a pillow to playfully throw at her back*
Sephiroth: *glances out the window* It’s a pleasant enough day outside. I suppose they’d be there at the office, even now. *moves away from the crib* I think I will. I will return later. Go back upstairs and rest.
Desiree: *yelps as Kalysto whacks her with the pillow* Hey! That’s not fair. *she shakes her head at him* I’m not about to attack someone who’s already crippled. *she reaches over to poke his nose*
Jenna: Hrmph.. I may be pregnant, but I’m not feeble, Seph. *She sighs and shakes her head. She then heads off to check up on the older children*
Kalysto: *sleepily* Crippled? Not like I can’t walk. I just can’t be bothered any more. I’m comfy. I’m warm. And… *goes quiet, stopping himself from speaking aloud his last thought* Just go away and get reunited with your family again already, huh? *yawns* I can relate in the fact I don’t like my brother… but.. he’s the only relative of mine left alive.
Sephiroth: I’m not saying you are. But you were resting before, and you seem to like it, so.. *waves to the door* Go. *walks out of the house, heading across the territory to the Shinra headquarters. Once inside, he grunts, looking around* Where’s Rufus?
Desiree: I’d rather stay here. *shakes her head* My family never cared that much about me anyway. *She grins then leans down to kiss his cheek* You’re much more interesting and smart than most of them combined.
Rufus: *is currently in his office, reading over various reports on plausible investments and the like*
Kalysto: Phh… you’re just saying that because I’m good in bed… *chuckles at her, then tries to snuggle into the sheets properly* Go do something else, like get reacquainted with your siblings…
Sephiroth: *moves past the front desk and casually wanders through the building, pushing the door open to Rufus’s office. Once inside, he strides over to the desk and waps a fist down on it, growling* What the hell are you playing at? Why are your lackeys spying on me and my family?
Rufus: *calmly looks up as the fist slams on his desk. He then plasters a grin onto his lips* Oh, hello, Sephiroth. I was not excpeting you today. *he then sets down his papers* Hmm.. spying? Ah, you must be referring to the report the TURKs gave on the whereabouts of your daughter. *he shakes his head* We are not spying there. It has been always customary for us to assign bodyguards to the family of our board members. It would not do to allow them or their families to be harmed by any of our enemies. Do not worry about it, Sephiroth.
Sephiroth: Very well… that one I can appreciate. *folds his arms, looking riled* This still does not explain how you knew about my whereabouts on Halcyon. Or even the fact that the island existed. And you knew about the cave-in and my housing situation. So I do not understand.
Rufus: Ah, yes, we did investigate reports on you being alive prior to contacting you, yes. *he nods* We have previously watched your activities. However, I can assure you that the orders to keep a close eye on you have been rescinded. *slowly stands up, though it’s clear that staying upright for long hurts him* As for that island, a few mariners reported a new land mass, so we did investiage those reports as well.
Sephiroth: *grunts* I just… don’t want to be monitored all over again. You know my previous history, and Hojo’s observations. I’m no longer a threat to the planet. I would have hoped I proved that by now. *grunts and shakes his head* Oh, don’t bother getting up. *heads for the door* I appreciate your honesty. Make sure it stays that way.
Rufus: *nods* If you are at all troubled by our security members for our employees and their families, you have all authority to change the orders. You are, after all, the director of the security department. *he nods at Sephiroth then settles back down in his seat*
Sephiroth: Very well… *moves out of the room, and then goes off insearch of the TURKs in the building* *”I got to the bottom of this relatively quickly, Jen. Just thought you might like to know the outcome of this.”*
Jenna: ~If you want to share the outcome with me, you are free to do such.~ *sits down in the living room, around where the televisoin is and watches over the children in that room*
Sephiroth: *”He says they investigated the new land when it appeared, and that he did indeed watch my previous movements. He has told me that the orders to keep a close eye on me have been revoked.”* *wanders down the hallways, grunting as he looks for his office. When he doesn’t find it, he walks back to Rufus’s office* Get one of the Turks in here. I have new instructions for them.
Rufus: *looks up at Sephiroth as he re-enters his office* I’ll need to send you a PHS with their numbers programmed into it. *he then picks up his own phone and dials Tseng’s number* Tseng, I need you to report to my office. *not really waiting for a reply, he hangs up then nods to Sephiroth* He should be here shortly.
Sephiroth: *growls and folds his arms* Good… *moves to stand at the door, turning his attention to the floor as he waits* *”You have nothing to say about what I just told you?”*
Jenna: ~Hm? Oh. I’m sorry, Seph. I was just distracted. It sounded rather reasonable though. I see nothing much to comment about there..~ *she glances at the television that her children are fighting over* ~It seems that television is very attractive to our offspring.~
Sephiroth: *tiredly sighs* *”We are going to have to limit it’s use. I can see conflict arising over it and it’s not going to go away. I’m only assuming it’s so interesting to them because it’s new and a novelty. Which doesn’t make sense because Centra did the same thing if asked, and had more channels.”* *shrugs* *”I’m sure they’ll tire of it eventually.”* *folds his arms and taps his foot as he waits*
Jenna: ~Perhaps you forgot to tell them that? I know I never really went out of my way to show them how to watch television. Though I know for certain that I had witnessed Desiree watching television at the base… Perhaps they are just dumb?~ *she shrugs*
Sephiroth: *”Maybe they are…”* *sighs* Where are these idiots? *taps his foot, impatient now* *”I will either monitor their time or remove the television entirely. Which decision will be made is yet to be seen.”*
Tseng: *casually wanders into Rufus’s office, giving Sephiroth only a mild glance before heading to the front desk* You summoned me, sir?
Jenna: ~I think it is much too early to make any drastic punishment or decisions. They just need to settle in for now.~ *looks over at Zach* I would have thought that you’d at least behave yourself, boy.
Rufus: Thank you, Tseng. *he motions to Sephiroth* Sephiroth here wanted to speak to you. I am certain that you are aware that he is your superior now.
Zach: I would if I could watch this thing on the other channel, but Cancer has to have the TV all the time, so fuck that, huh? *slides off the couch and kicks the floor* I am going to hunt for my dragon.
Tseng: *quietly* Ah, I see. Very well. *nods at Sephiroth* You summoned me, sir?
Sephiroth: About time… *grunts at Tseng* I want you and your TURKS to stop watching my every move. At the same time, if you wish to monitor the movements of my offspring, such as Desiree, especially when they are far away from here, please do so. Keeping them protected from harm would be favourable.
Rufus: *turns his attention back to his paperwork as Sephiroth speaks with Tseng*
Jenna: Hmm… I see. *she frowns at Cancer* You need to allow others to use the television from time to time, girl. You cannot always watch only what you want to watch. *she shakes her head* Have you thought about a part-time job, hm?
Cancer: *yawns* Thought about it. Read the paper, turned it into a hat, wore it on my head, then put it in the bin. Back to TV watching now. *snuggles into the couch cushion* Do you honestly think somebody like me could get a job working among the humans?
Sephiroth: Very good. You are dismissed. *folds his arms, waiting for Tseng to leave* Rufus, I have another question for you. May I speak with you in private?
