Sephiroth: *takes a seat beside Jenna, relaxing in the chair. He glares back at the people and shrugs, turning his attention to the papers as he fills them out for her* *”We don’t have a last name…”* *taps his pen over the space for a few moments, then sighs* *”Age? In actuality, or physically?”* *grunts and fills in the home address*
Jenna: ~I hope you’re not looking to me for answers on those questions…~ *she shakes her head then smirks* ~Put down 428 and see what they do with that information. Not that I actually know my age…~ *She shrugs* ~I lost count.~
Sephiroth: *tilts his head back and glances her over for a few moments, then glances upwards, pondering to himself for several moments* *”I’ll just write down 37… That way you were around 20 – 21 years old when you gave birth to her.”* *jots down his answers on the form*
Jenna: *deeply frowns at Sephiroth’s words* ~I certainly hope my spell makes me look a whole lot of a hell younger than that. I’ve always aimed for my appearance when I was 21 or so…~ *snorts, seeming to be a bit insulted.*
Sephiroth: *shakes his head at her* *”And if you were 21 when Desiree was 16, that means you gave birth to her when you were five years old.”* *quickly shakes his head* *”Biologically, that’s just not possible. At all.”*
Dr Howlett: *picks up one of the forms and calls his next patient, staring at Jenna and Sephiroth for a moment before looking nervous, shaking his head before calling the person in*
Jenna: ~You know, you were only born about 33 or 35 years ago on this planet. That means that you hid me and Desiree in secret for several years..~ *reaches up to flick Seph’s nearest set of bangs. For the time being, since her attention is on Seph, she doesn’t notice Dr. Howlett*
Sephiroth: *watches the doctor but doesn’t comment* *”Maybe I did hide you away. Who honestly knows. The Shinra didn’t know where I was and that probably pissed them off.”* *shrugs* *”But they knew Halcyon was destroyed, and I was homeless, so…”*
Jenna: ~I mean, you would have needed to have been twenty when you gave birth to Desiree, at the least. That was right in the middle of you being an active general in the military.~ *closes her eyes and takes a deep breath in an attempt to make her nausea not bother her so much*
Sephiroth: *”I couldnt give birth to Desiree even if I had wanted to.”* *smirks* *”I am a male.”* *his frown fades again shortly afterwards* What’s wrong? *lightly pokes her arm* *”Do you want me to get you some water or something?”*
Jenna: ~I’m fine, Seph. I just am having a few waves of uneasiness in my stomach area and so on. But it’s nothing too serious.~ *She looks up at him and slaps his upper arm* ~And you knew what I meant. Sired her. Happy?~
Sephiroth: *”I suppose I am happy.”* *shrugs again* *”Except for the fact that there’s other people here and that we’re in a waiting room being stared at.”* *rises to his feet and deposits the board back on the desk*
Jenna: *groans at him* ~I meant with my correction of my statement, Seph… I swear that you can be so very dense at times.~ *sighs and looks about* ~I really want to be out of here already… They need to hurry up!~
Sephiroth: *”There is no need to tell me about it. I can’t make them go any faster.”* *rests his chin on the palm of his hand and begins to idly tap his fingers against the armrest of the chair* *”Humans can be very slow, but there is nothing I can do about it. I just have to wait for them.”*
Jenna: Hmm… *looks about once more. She then tries to sit in Seph’s lap* ~At least I can make myself comfortable while I wait.~
Sephiroth: *”I wouldnt advise doing that in public…”* *frowns at her, scowling as he receives looks from the other patrons* *”I know you want to, but these people are going to say something and the outcome isn’t going to be very good.”*
Dr Howlett: *walks back out into the waiting room, swallowing hard* Jenna? *motions towards the door of his clinic* Come this way.
Jenna: ~This coming from the man who pinched my butt in the middle of this town not too long ago.~ *She shakes her head at him. However, she looks up as the Doctor calls her name. So, she gets to her feet and moves to follow his lead* This better not take long..
Sephiroth: *”I know but we weren’t in an office full of people when that happened!”* *frowns* *”It was a wide open area and there weren’t people nearby to observe. I sensed nobody nearby when I did it.”*
Dr Howlett: *hears Jenna’s complaint and nods* N-no, this shouldn’t take long. *nervously* Please sit down. *motions to a chair and sits behind his desk, getting out a blank card* You haven’t been here before so I should make you a file… *pushes his glasses onto his face* Now, what can I help you with today..?
Jenna: ~Heh, I still don’t see why being with me in public bothers you like that.~ *she sits down on the examination table and frowns. Soon enough, she grumbles out* I simply feel a bit.. what is the word.. hmm… nauseous? Like my stomach wants to remove its contents. And a bit faint, I suppose. *she glances toward her where her mate should be* Seph wanted me to have it checked. So, check what is wrong with me.
Dr Howlett: *nods his head, picking up some instruments to examine her with as he walks over to her. He attempts to shine a light into her eyes* I didn’t think you were in Mideel… how have you been? *removes the light and picks up his card to make notes* You’re just feeling ill?
Jenna: *the shape of her pupils shift as the light hits her. For a moment, it takes a more reptilian/draconic shape before returning to normal. She then frowns at him* You seem to remember me from someplace.. *Shrugs, not caring much* Yes, is that not what I just said? That I simply feel a bit unwell. *looks toward the door* ~Seph, are you coming in here?~
Sephiroth: *”I don’t know if you want me in there or not. It’s generally considered rude to intrude on personal exams unless you have been given permission to attend in on the session.”*
Dr Howlett: *takes out his stethoscope and begins to listen to her breathing via her chest, sides, and back* I was…. I was asked to care for you before… when Jenova cells were ruining you during a pregnancy. *mumbles* Your chest sounds fine…
Jenna: ~Of course I want you in here, Seph. It’s also typical for couples if they go together to actually support each other and come in the room at the same time.~ *glances back at Dr. Howlett then snorts* I do not recall you. However, I shall take your word and offer my thanks.
Sephiroth: *nods and moves to his feet, opening the door so he can walk into the examination room, closing the door behind him* *”There you go.”* *leans against the door*
Dr Howlett: Um.. thank-you. *jots down his findings and begins to test her blood pressure* Everything checks out. Maybe you’ve just picked up one of the local viruses that’s been going around lately. *places a hand on her forehead* You are not running a fever though.
Jenna: *Lowers her eyes and grits her teeth. She then mutters* Seph and I haven’t kept good record, but I may potentially be late. *she then looks up as she notices Seph’s entrance. A small grin forms on her lips before she nods at him*
Dr Howlett: *looks back at Sephiroth as if to object, then sighs and shakes his head, returning his attention to Jenna* L… late? *thinks for a few moments, then nods once it has dawned on him* Ahh… hmm… *moves away from her and heads for his desk, looking a little worried* T-there are two ways of finding out if you are pregnant. One way is to take a blood test, which I can examine now. The other is to get a urine sample, which needs to go to a lab…
