Kalysto: What the hell? *flinches as Desiree stuffs the hat on his head* Do you want to snap the cartilage in my ears again or something? *takes the hat off and checks it over, frowning* You want me to walk into a store wearing a towel, and this? *glances back at her* What are you doing, filming a pornography movie?
Sephiroth: *”Phh, love has nothing to do with it. I have a feeling you wouldn’t care about my actions regardless.”* *smirks*
Desiree: You’re the one who doesn’t want to put on torn clothing. At least my original idea makes it just look like you were in a rock slide, hm? *She crosses her arms at him* But yea, you need something to cover those ears… I don’t want them to try to experiment on you or anything.
Jenna: ~I would most certainly not bother hanging around here if I didn’t have any affection toward you. No matter how deliciously attractive you are.~ *She then looks around the room and grins with relief as she notices that the children seem to be doing better as a whole*
Sephiroth: *”Yes you would. I am good to look at, and pleasing to the eye, for all to see. You would do so regardless of your feelings, because I am just that great.”*
Aeris: *takes the small child from Sephiroth, sighing* Whatever am I going to do with you…
Cancer: *is occupying herself with pissing Cloud off by hogging the remote control, channel flipping as fast as she can. Due to the fact that Halycon didn’t have TV, it fascinates her*
Iris: *begins to fuss in the play pen she was placed into earlier, getting bored at looking at the ceiling. She also begins to whimper and grizzle now that she can sense her mother nearby*
Kalysto: Fine, I’ll wear the damn pants. But you’re not allowed to look, OK? *moves to his feet, turning his back to her. He places on the pants, immediately discontent at their dirtiness and their damaged state* This really isn’t much better.
Desiree: It’s enough to make you passable to a store clerk.. I should hope. *she sighs and moves closer to him once he has the pants on* So, shall we go, hm?
Jenna: ~Well, whatever the hell you are, you’re certainly not modest. Not modest in the least bit.~ *she smirks at him* ~Why do I love you so much?~ *she then frowns as she notices Iris. Soon enough, she walks over to the playpen before picking up the child* We need to find some other place to stay..
Iris: *promptly clings onto Jenna’s arm and hugs it once picked up. Then she rests her head against her, settling down immediately*
Sephiroth: *”Yes, it is overcrowded with all of them in here. Though Cancer seems to have the right idea.”* *eyes her off, vaguely amused* *”There’s nowhere to place us all, I hope you realize that. How extensive was the damage to the base? Maybe we could move to another set of tunnels.”*
Kalysto: Yeah, yea… *opens a portal to the Astral Plane, waving her in* Well, go on.
Desiree: *nods and moves to through the portal. Once inside, she stops and waits for Kalysto to lead the way* It’s so strange.. I always thought this place was like… laying on top or under or something along with reality.. But you don’t need to travel anywhere to go all the way to the other side of a planet.
Jenna: *shakes her head* ~I scanned it a bit while I was there, as well as asked Centra to give me a damage assessment… There are a few rooms that didn’t get completely destroyed, but not enough to make a home out of..~ *sighs at Iris. She then pats the top of the girl’s head* It’s all right girl. The mean woman in your head is no more.
*Meanwhile, Cloud’s PHS begins to ring*
Kalysto: Some more skilled travellers can use the Nether to go anywhere. And I mean… anywhere. Ask my drake companion. He knows how. Then again, he’s made out of the materials that make this place up. Hardly surprising.
Iris: *looks up at Jenna, then makes a soft noise* Mmmm.. *opens her mouth and begins sucking on her arm, slobbering on it*
Sephiroth: *”A pity. We need somewhere to go. We can’t stay here, and I can think of no other place…”* *grunts in frustration* *”Unless we go to a hotel.”*
Cloud: Shut that TV up for a moment. You’re not watching it anyway. *picks up his phone and flips it open* Yeah?
Cancer: Was too. *pokes her tongue out at him and flips channels faster*
Desiree: *gives him a small grin* I have so much to learn.. I don’t think I ever would have figured out this sort of stuff on my own. The spirits that I talk to usually aren’t much help either. *she then moves closer to him before tentatively reaching in to grasp onto his left hand*
Jenna: ~I can’t particularly think of any place at the moment eith-~ *she then blinks and stares down at Iris. Sighing, she just shakes her head and decides to put up with it*
Reno: Yo, Spikes. You actually answer your phone now? Heh, imagine that. One of our birds have told us that you have visitors of a very silver variety. The boss wants you to pass on the message that he would like to talk to our wayward “son” there. You remember the boss, right?
Cloud: *makes a grumbling sound* Yeah, what of it? *fumbles with the phone for a moment, debating whether or not he should just hang up* What do you want?
Sephiroth: *glances down at Iris, raising an eyebrow at her* *”Definitely not a trait from my genes.”* *turns his attention towards the door, thinking* *”Maybe there’s an abandoned house in this town. Though I don’t want to consider that very seriously. Who would want to live in this dump?”*
Kalysto: *glances down at her hand, then up at her before shrugging* You’re not going to get lost in here. *opens a rift to Aeris’s house* Go on out.
Reno: Just pass the message to our missing silver elite that the boss wants to meet up with him. We”re working on rebuilding, man. It’s going to be great, yo. Tell him to come to Mideel, and we’ll see what we can do to help him with his unfortunate loss.
Jenna: ~Certainly not I.. It’s too cold.~ *She shakes her head and looks around, trying to find something else to offer the girl to chew on. Eventually, she spots a stuffed chocobo from the play pen. So, she reaches down to grab it before waving it in front of the child*
Desiree: *frowns at him. Then she mutters under her breath* It wasn’t to keep me from getting lost.. *she then nods as he opens the portal before stepping through*
Kalysto: *even though he has very sharp hearing, he pretends to have not heard her. He opens the door, waiting for her to go in* There, we upheld each other’s end of the bargain. *begins to shiver, not liking the cold air here* I need a sewing kit.
Cloud: Yeah, alright. Stay on the line. *holds the phone up to Sephiroth* Hey, you. *throws it over to him* Catch. Somebody wants to talk to you.
Sephiroth: *”Maybe we can–“* *hisses at Cloud, but catches the phone* Who is this?
Desiree: *Glances at the open door and shakes her head. She then spots a general store in the area, and makes the assumption that it sells a bit of everything* Put on that hat.. *with that, she tries to lead Kalysto to the store*
Reno: *there is a clattering sound on his end as soon as Sephiroth gets on the phone. For Reno had dropped his phone out of surprise* Shit! *he quickly gets the PHS back into position* Yo, he was ony supposed to pass the message! *clears his throat* Sephiroth.. You remember your old pal, right..?
Sephiroth: What old pal? You know me – I didn’t have any friends. I’m not about to start claiming them now. *grunts in annoyance* How do you know I am here? *glares out the window* You have eyes all over the place, don’t you.
Kalysto: *flicks his hand away from her, not wanting to be led. He does, however, follow anyway*
Reno: *nervously laughs* You know us TURKs. We like to stay informed on everything.. *clears his throat* But.. umm.. Ok, well, we know what happened to your home down there. So, the boss wants to talk to you, man. We think we can help you out. Just come down to Mideel. I can’t tell you much more because I really don’t know.
Desiree: *Sighs as he takes his hand away, seeming to be a bit disappointed. Finally, she opens the door to the shop and nudges him in. She then presses her wing against her back and heads toward the coat section, hoping to find a long one for her to cover up with*
Sephiroth: Wait a minute. *shakes his head in disbelief* You know what happened to my old house. You actually knew where it WAS… and you don’t know what your boss has to say to me? I really don’t buy that. *scowls* And why Mideel of all places?
Iris: *tries to blat her mother with the stuffed Chocobo, grinning*
Kalysto: *follows Desiree inside, not seeming impressed with the selection once he sets foot in the door* Hmph. *stops, watching her head off towards the coat section, then begins flipping through nearby racks*
Reno: Alright, alright, man. You’re too smart for your own good, yo. *he shakes his head* The boss wants to offer you a job and a new home. We’re rebuilding, but not like the dumb old guy’s company. Just come here. You’ll see. It’ll be great. Just like old times.
Jenna: *stares as she gets assaulted with the stuffed animal. Even after having this many children, she isn’t certain what the proper response to something like that is*
Desiree: *quickly finds a long coat and puts it on to conceal the wing that she still has out. She then moves over to Kalysto* Umm… I don’t think there will be any.. robes.. to your liking, but you’ll just need to make do.
Sephiroth: Just like old times…. now I’m really not interested. *clicks the phone shut and throws it on the couch next to Cloud* Don’t waste my time again.
Kalysto: *glares at her* Who said I was looking for a robe? Right now I’d settle for something that fits and doesn’t make me look like a complete and utter moron. *moves away from Desiree continues to sift through the racks there instead*
Iris: *giggles and continues to attack her mother with the plush toy, before throwing it away and hugging her arm again*
Jenna: *continues to stare down at her youngest daughter, completely not understanding what the child is doing at all. She then sighs and shakes her head once Iris hugs onto her again* You might be bi-polar… *groaning, she moves over to Seph* What has you worked up?
Desiree: *allows herself a small smirk* Let it stand for the record that you left yourself very wide open for a cheap shot there. *she glances over at the cashier then tries to use her psychic abilities to knock out the guy*
Sephiroth: *scowls at Jenna momentarily before sitting down on the couch, lightly pushing Cancer aside to make more room for himself* *”That was one of the idiots from ShinRa. They want me to go to Mideel as they are setting up their company again. The one of the phone promised that it would be ‘like old times’ and so I hung up on him. He also knew about the destruction of the base somehow. They have eyes everywhere.”*
Kalysto: Oh yeah? And what cheap-shot would that have been?
Jenna: *Frowns in thought* ~Well.. we don’t have any funds.. Maybe you should go, just make demands when you get there. They have nothing to force you to do what they want any more..~ *she moves up behind Seph then reaches over to gently massage the top of his head. Since she’s quite close to him, Iris would be in arm’s reach of his hair*
Dimitri: *glances up at Jenna and Sephy. He then looks at Cloud* No good spot. They get mushy. *nods at his parents*
Desiree: You did say that you want something that “doesn’t make me look like a complete moron”. Well, someone who doesn’t respect you as much as I do would have so abused that line.
Iris: *is quite quick to snatch at a handful of Sephiroth’s hair and begins to pull on it, squealing with happiness*
Sephiroth: *”I don’t want to go to them and become their slave.”* *is initially content and calmed by Jenna’s massage, at least until he feels the sharp painful tug on his scalp. He makes a loud threatening growl and tries to pull forwards, wanting to get his hair out of the way*
Kalysto: I know. I was asking for an example, if you had already thought of one.
Cloud: Yeah, I can see that. *tosses his phone to Sephiroth despite his protesting, and heads for the kitchen* They’re going to call again. They always do.
Jenna: *Groans and tries to grip onto IRis’s hand so that she can get the girl to let go of Seph’s hair* No. That is not a toy. *glances around then tries to levitate the stuffed chocobo in front of Iris’s face* ~Like I said, Seph, they have nothing on you to make you their slave. Perhaps if you come with a list of demands, they’ll be forced to give you what you want this time around.~
Desiree: *frowns at him* But if I give you that example, you’ll think I mean it.. *groans* Fine… “Do you really think that any clothing would make you not look like a moron?” Happy?
Iris: *squeals with happiness as she continues to pull on the hair, not seeming interested in the plush bird any longer. She tries to stuff part of it in her mouth, curious to see what it tastes like*
Sephiroth: *forcefully snatches his hair out of Iris’s hands, growling viciously at her as he moves out of his chair altogether* Annoying brat! *snarls* *”They have nothing on me right now, but you know as well as I do that they would demand something ridiculous of me.”*
Kalysto: *doesn’t seem terribly impressed* And here I was thinking you had thought of something witty.
Jenna: ~As I said, they have no leverage over us or you. You should make the demands and set up something that is beneficial to us. They want you, so make them work for it, hm?~ *She sighs at Iris* Don’t bother your father like that..
Desiree: *frowns at him* The point was that I wasn’t going to insult you at all.. *groans and shakes her head. She then returns to concentrating on the store clerk. After a moment, there is a loud thump as the man falls unconscious* Take everything that you want, Kalysto.
Sephiroth: *”I know they want me there. It would be nice to actually do something other than sit around the house, but at the same time I do not really want them bothering me. They can be very persistant when they want to be.”*
Kalysto: Theoretically speaking, you could have come up with something great you know. But you didn’t. How dissapointing… I thought you were more spiteful than that.
