Kalysto: No, I don’t own it. Ask it if you want – it’s not actually mine. *flattens his eyebrows, seeming unamused* Are you going to fight it, or are you gonna let it keep it clawing your mind’s conciousness?
Cloud: I still don’t know what’s going on… You should at least fill me in.
Sephiroth: *scowls* No. *moves back out into the snow, heading for the town’s exit*
Dimitri: *looks up at Cloud. Shaking his head at the older man, he releases a deep sigh* Jenova is back and attacking the minds of my sisters an’ brothers. It really bad. Mother and father went off to fight her, but Desiree… Desiree got really sick. She brought home down on our heads. *whimpers and looks at the others* We hurt.
Jenna: *jogs slightly to catch up to Sephiroth. Upon reaching his side, she reaches over to gently take hold of his left hand*
Desiree: Hrmph, it still takes orders from you. Hence, you are the source. *she raises up her right hand and begins preparing a psychic blast to fire into Kalysto’s face* Silence, traitor. I do not care what you have to say. They will all be lies.
Sephiroth: *glances at her, mostly because he is intrigued that she reached for that hand and not his real one* Well do you feel any easier knowing the children are not out in the open and vulnerable to predators?
Cloud: Oh… *looks thoughtful for several moments* That would explain Tyler, but.. am I immune to her now? I should go with them.
Tifa: No you shouldn’t. They don’t even like you, you wouldn’t work well as a team together. We should call Cid and have the old gang go up there ourselves.
Kalysto: *his eyes widen at Desiree’s actions and he promptly hits the ground, covering his face*
Jenna: Hmm..? *she looks up at him and blinks. She then frowns and lowers her head* You probably think this element as cold, but that was never really one of my concerns. It was your suggestion to find shelter for them.. *she shrugs* I suppose it didn’t really occur to me because I barely had a home or shelter for most of my life.
Dimitri: *blinks* Umm.. If you want to go wit them, then go. *he then looks up at Tifa* You know first aid? *he then points at a rather nasty scrape along his right arm* It hurts..
Desiree: *scowls as her blast only hits the rocks behind where Kalysto was. However, she soon raises her left foot and tries to kick the elf in the face*
Sephiroth: Your own past isn’t an excuse for your train of thought now. That was then, this is now. *scowls at her momentarily, then nods ahead of them* Let’s get back into the crater. I would very much like to end this for once and for all.
Tifa: Oh, let’s have a look at that… *crouches down to look at the injury, then pats his shoulder* Stay put, we have a first aid kit. *runs out of the room to go get it*
Aeris: *comes into the room bearing a large plate of cookies and other various small munchies* Come, eat. Make yourselves at home.
Kalysto: *raises a hand up to attempt to incinerate her. He is never able to finish the spell as he is kicked in the face, slipping backwards* *”You’re in there somewhere… you don’t have to do what it says…”*
Jenna: What I meant is that it just didn’t occur to me that such would really be a problem.. *sighs* Cultural difference, that’s all. I’m not about to say that they shouldn’t have the chance to have a home though. *she then nods at him* Yes, let’s go.
Xelong: *stalks past most of his siblings and toward the tray of food. He then stands up on his hind legs and sniffs the air before moving closer to Aeris. Soon enough, he reaches up to paw at her right thigh* ~Can’t reach.~
Desiree: *narrows her eyes at Kalysto as he speaks into her mind* I am embracing my birth right. You, on the other hand, have no part in mother’s new order. *She then kneels down and reaches forward toward his neck with the intention to strangle him*
Sephiroth: Well… you can either make a portal back or I can fly. Tell me which, so I know not to fly off if you are going to make a portal, and I know not to stand here if you want me to fly off. *shrugs* It doesn’t matter to me either way.
Aeris: *blinks down at the little dragon* You want some? *picks up a cookie and drops it on the floor beside him, giggling* There you go.
Zach: *looks offended at Aeris’s gesture* He’s not a dog…
Kalysto: You’re embracing stupidity. *glares at her when she grabs his neck, then raises a hand up, attempting to curse her with a feeling of constant inner-pain*
Jenna: Hmm.. Why do I need to make the choice here, hm? *she shakes her head before reaching up to stroke her left hand through his bangs* Hmm.. I suppose I wouldn’t mind being carried in your strong, warm embrace. *she then grins at him* Less work for me.
Xelong: *depite Zach’s objection to Aeris’s treatment of him, he doesn’t seem to mind too much. Instead, he just leaps onto the cookie before scarfing it down*
Desiree: *had just begun to squeeze down on Kalysto’s neck as he casts the curse on her. As soon as the pain hits her though, her eyes widen and her grip falters. She then grits her teeth as she curls up in pain*
Sephiroth: You need to make the choice because I can’t just whip a portal out of thin air. You can. *frowns and scoops her up, then leaps into the air and begins to head north* Flying it is. As I said, either does not matter to me.
Kalysto: Yeah, how do you like them apples, huh? *gets to his feet again, dusting himself off, before resetting the towel around himself* I came here trying to help you. I’m not going to get my butt kicked by you in the process.
Zach: *sighs* You’re lucky he’s young and not full of pride yet. He could have ripped a limb off.
Jenna: *gives Seph a small grin as he picks her up. She then snuggles up against him and releases a contented sigh* Whipping out portals is harder than it sounds anyway.. I don’t like doing more than one an hour.
Desiree: *glares at Kalysto and grits her teeth* Insolent traitor.. This planet belongs to mother. *she then lunges forward and tries to punch him in the face. However, since she’s still in extreme pain due to the curse, it would be easy for Kalysto just to grab her and pin her to the ground or anything else*
Kalysto: I don’t give a crap who your planet belongs to. Are you even in there any more? Doesn’t look like i—*flinches as she punches him in the face, stumbling backwards, nearly losing his footing entirely. He makes a soft growling noise at her and tries to glass the rocks below her with a blast of incineration magic*
Jenova: *makes a loud gurgling noise now that she has reached the Lifestream. She stays quite still and buried under the rocks while she absorbs energy, quite content to stay there if undisturbed*
Desiree: Shut up. You’re wasting your words. *doesn’t seem to notice the fact that the ground below her has just goten hot and slick. However, as she tries to take another swing at him, she slips and falls down on top of him*
Kalysto: *grabs her shoulders and tries to shake some sense into her* Somewhere in there is a whiney girl who likes to argue with me. Where is she and what the fuck have you done with her? *frowns* Just come back to your senses so we can leave this place, huh? It’s cold.
Desiree: *grits her teeth as she’s shaken. She then coldly glares at him* I do not know or care what you are talking about. However, you will not stop me from helping mother any longer. *she slams her right palm down on his chest and begins using her psychic powers to form a destructive bolt of energy. However, as the bolt begins to form, she seems to freeze up and waver, as if she’s not certain if she wants to blast him at point-blank or not*
Kalysto: *stays rigid and stiff as Desiree slams her palm into his chest. He flicks his ears back and glares at her, waiting for her to blast him. When it doesn’t come however, he tries to shove her down onto the rocks and pin one of her arms behind her back* I knew you didn’t have it in you. Now, are you alive in there or what?
Desiree: *releases an annoyed hiss as Kalysto manages to flip her over. She then stares up at him, seeming confused more than anything before closing her eyes* ~Mother?! Why can’t I kill him?~ *she hisses and tries to struggle out of his grasp* Let go of me. You will die with the rest of the lowly scum that tormented mother..
Jenova: *hisses* *”You can kill it and you will. Just snap it’s neck, smother it, bury it, or smash it’s face in. They all die the same when critically injured. Now, leave me be. For I must continue to feed…”* *raises three tentacles high, poking them out of the rubble. She then fires a single pulse-charge of light-energy out of the crater and at the sky itself, though not seemingly aiming to hit anything in particular*
Kalysto: I never tormented your mother, sheesh. *tries to keep her pinned down* Desiree, just fucking snap out of it, OK?
Desiree: *frowns at Kalysto’s words. She then opens her eyes and glares up at him once more* There is nothing for me to snap out of… I am meant to be at mother’s side. *she grits her teeth then yanks her left arm out of his grip. Soon enough, she raises it and begins using a combination of her magical abilities and her psychic abilities to form a blade of dark energy before pressing it against Kalysto’s neck. However, as the blade presses his flesh, she hesitates again* What…? *hisses* ~Mother, there’s something wrong with me… I just.. I can’t kill him. I don’t understand…~
Jenova: *”Don’t interrupt me from my greatest moment! If you can’t perform such a simple task, I will kill it myself!”* *flails a tentacle up out of the rocks, then moves it towards Desiree, growing it at such a rapid rate that it reaches her in a few moments*
Desiree: *doesn’t notice the tentacle at all. Instead, she continues to glare up at Kalysto and seem to fight against herself as she tries to slice through his throat. By now, her body is tremoring slightly because she is so mentally conflicted*
Jenova: *her tentacle prods Desiree in the back as Jenova gets a feel of her surroundings. Then it brushes past her and coils around Kalysto, flinging him across the chasm* *”Find your kin instead. It’s clear that you can’t kill one lousy insignificant human.”*
Desiree: *her eyes widen as she watches Jenova fling Kalysto away. After staring at the elf for a few moments, she gets to her feet and mutters* As you wish, mother. *looks over Kalysto once more then turns around to leave the elf with Jenova*
Jenova: *”Good. This ridiculousness ends now.”* *picks up Kalysto and drags him into the rocks, stuffing him into one of the buried caves nearby. She then resettles herself, resuming her draining of the Lifestream* *”Find the others, meet up with them and protect my den. It is unusually quiet. Find out why.”*
Desiree: As you wish, mother… *moves through the cavern for a few moments. However, she stops and grips onto the side of her head after a few moments. Growling in annoyance, she turns around and heads back to where Kalysto was dragged off to. Soon enough, she uses her psychic powers to pull him out of the area where Jenova stuffed him into. However, she also presses the tip of the blade that she had formed earlier against his jugular as she frees him as well*
Kalysto: Would you people just fucking make up your minds? *rolls his eyes, more annoyed than anything* Kill me or release me, I don’t care. Just make up your mind and do one of them, huh? Just let me know which so I don’t have to deal with this cold much longer.
Jenova: *sends another energy light-pulse out of the crater’s rubble, this one much stronger than the last*
