Kalysto: *at the thought of his Alchemy Lab, Kalysto begins to think of ways to make volitile potions that will explode upon impact. This thought alone makes him very happy and pleased with himself, and he doesn’t put up any fight as Desiree
Jenova: *sits in the maw of the dead WEAPON, having jammed a tentacle into it’s cranial cavity so she can drain it of any remnant life-energies. At the same time, she creates a powerful psychic influence over the area, attempting to woo and encourage her ‘offspring’ back to her* *”Come… come back to me. Let us collaborate and plan.”*
Loz: *is rather quick to spring to his feet, seeming excited* Mother’s calling to us!
Kadaj: *glares at Loz* Brother, we are already here with mother. *snorts and shakes his head*
Desiree: *continues to make her way to Kalysto’s lab. However, her head gets a bit fuzzy at Jenova’s first pusle of a call, so she does lose her balance for a second as she becomes distracted*
Kalysto: *stops momentarily, confused* Whoa, what the hell was that? Certainly wasn’t one of those weird hunger things… *checks over his shoulder, then around the area* Lets just get inside… *moves into the lab and shuts the door behind him, turning on some dim light once in the room*
Loz: *glares at Kadaj, then folds his arms* I know that, and you know that. So what’s the problem, brother?
Desiree: *lowers her head momentarily after Kalysto enters his laboratory. She then sighs* It’s… nothing. I’ll be fine. *she then closes her eyes and tries to put all her effort into ignoring Jenova’s call* Just go ahead and have your fun.
Jenova: *calls her nearby offspring to her once again, seeming impatient* *”Get in front of me now. Or face consequences for your tardiness. DO IT NOW!”*
Sephiros: *loudly snorts at Jenova’s attitude, but appears nearby her a few moments later* Yes? *glares, narrowing his glowing red eyes, before turning his attention away*
Kalysto: Yeah, alright… *picks up a glass vial and sets it on a stove, turning on the flame underneath it. He begins to cut up some herbs he has on a nearby table, then begins to pat his pockets, grumbling to himself* Damn it…
Desiree: *doesn’t pay close attention to what Kalysto is doing at all. In fact, she’s being rather silent at the moment. However, she snaps out of her reverie as Kalysto begins to pat herself down* Huh? What’s wrong, Kalysto?
Kadaj: *shrugs then moves to stand near to Jenova. Once in position, he kneels down before her* Yes, mother?
Yazoo: *makes his way to Jenova as well. However, he simply move to stand near to Loz *
Kalysto: *mutters* No soul shards… no anything. I had a ton of crap in my pockets. How am I supposed to make concoctions if I don’t even have ingredients to create reactions? *frowns and shakes his head* Can’t make anything fun…
Jenova: *growls* *”This planet is going to try and throw more of it’s defenses at me. Both you and I will work on a plan.. a plan that will thwart this planet into complete and utter retreat. It will be silent, it’s spirit deadened once I rule.”* *flicks a tentacle* *”And you are going to help me.”*
Kadaj: *broadly grins at Jenova’s words. He then nods* Of course, Mother. We have no love for a planet that cast us aside at the hour of our very creation. You deserve to reap this planet of everything that it holds dear.
Desiree: Oh… Umm… I don’t know what to say to that, Kalysto.. I’m not exactly healed enough to go gathering up a bunch of materials either… Is there anything in our room that you might be able to use?
Jenova: *continues to probe and prod at the dead WEAPON’s flesh, pondering to herself* *”While in it’s body, I probed this creature’s thoughts and memories. I learned of it’s creation. I learned how this grand titanic beast of the planet was grown. And with enough energy and flesh, I could recreate the process…”* *begins to loudly purr* *”Both resources are here, also.”* *pokes at the WEAPON* *”Both the flesh..”* *points down to the Lifestream* *”And the energy. All I need is my minions to gather and protect me while I grow into my new form. How many others are there?”* *begins to call to the broader horizon, sensing gentle calling telepathic signals out to the world around her, attempting to contact those who share her cells*
Kalysto: No, not really… I kept everything important on my person… and in my personal belongings around here. And if I can’t use anything here… then you get the idea.
Kadaj: *Broadly grins at the sounds of Jenova’s plans. He then nods* We’ll ge to turn this planet’s creations against itself. It’ll certainly know sorrow and pain then.
Desiree: Oh… I see.. *sighs* Hopefully your brother will- *her vision faulters for a moment as Jenova’s call gets stronger. She then grits her teeth and tries to fight the feeling that is passing through her body*
Kalysto: Seriously, what the hell is that?! *looks around them and quickly frowns* Is a demon calling to you? Because that’s what it feels like… sort of. It’s different, but… *shakes his head* Explain what the hell is going on.
Sephiroth: *scowls as he also feels the drawing call and does his best to ignore it. He turns away from Jenna and leaves the area, snorting to himself*
Desiree: *reaches up to rub her temple as she continues to fight against Jenova’s call. She then looks off to the side* That… I’m not really fully certain, Kalysto. I’ve never felt like this before. *she shakes her head* I’ll be fine. Don’t worry about it.
Kalysto: *recalls memories of when demons called to him before when he was much younger, then frowns* *”Like this, kind of…”* *sighs* Do you know how to block it out? I advise that, if you know how… it takes some mental prowess, and I know you have that.
Desiree: *nods at Kalysto’s suggestions* I’m trying to… It’s just pretty strong. *She sighs, slightly tired out. She then frowns as she considers the fact that her younger siblings might be targeted as well* Damn…
Kalysto: *shakes his head* Why don’t you just kill it then? Why even allow something like that to have influence over you in the first place? I really don’t understand why you would let something like that happen… one can only take over your mind if you let them. There is some consent in the process.
Desiree: I don’t have the answers to those, Kalysto.. I really don’t. If this is Jenova.. She was supposed to have been eaten by the fucking guardian of the planet! I saw it happen. *she shakes her head. She then rushes out the room and makes her way downstairs to where the rest of her family resides*
Iris: *is in her crib, whimpering rather loudly. She wiggles and struggles about, but isn’t able to do terribly much more beyond that. She looks out of her crib miserably, but is unable to get out, and shakes the bars weakly*
Cancer: *sits on her bed, seeming relatively undisturbed. She is currently entertaining herself by stabbing a dagger into the wall of her room repeatedly, carving a hole there*
Desiree: *grips onto the wall for support as she moves down the stairs, not trusting herself to keep balance while her mind is under attack. As soon as she reaches her parent’s bedroom, she sighs with relief and begins to look about. However, she tenses up as she notices Iris* ~Mother! Father! Get down here!~
Dimitri: *is currently digging through his father’s nightstand, looking for treats of any kind. Unlike the rest of his siblings, he doesn’t seem to be in any distress at all, which is mostly because he’s such a dud. His wings are spread out behind him in order to provide support as he digs through the drawers*
*there is nothing of real food-interest in Sephiroth’s nightstand. However, there are objects like canisters of headache pills off to one side, and documents in another. Strangely enough, among the documents he has a furniture brochure and a house-sales catalogue also*
Sephiroth: *”What is it now? First you wouldn’t talk to me, now you want me to go down there? What is it?”*
Desiree: *grits her teeth at her father’s response to her request. She then sends him a sharp psychic message that includes the images that she’s seeing as she moves over to Iris and picks her up* ~They’re suffering. They need you!~ *she then gently cradles her youngest sibbling* Shhh.. It’ll be ok.
Dimitri: *tilts his head as he notices the brochures. He then lifts one up and turns it about* Huh?
Sephiroth: *sighs* *”I’m coming down there now….”* *makes his way down the stairs quite quickly, then moves into the nursery, attempting to take Iris from Desiree* I know what this is about… *narrows his eyes, then snorts* I didn’t think anything could get through the defenses here. *telepathically contacts Jenna* *”Jenova is back. I can sense her calling. Even the infant can. And I am guessing others can too.”*
Jenna: ~What? That alien is back again? How many times does she need to die?~ *growls and grits her teeth. With that, she moves down the stairs herself. She gives Seph a quick glance before she heads off to Zach’s room to check on him*
Desiree: *looks at Seph as he takes Iris away from her. She then takes a step back* She’s really distressed..
Zach: *has retreated to his closet, and is curled up in the back of it. There are scattered pill bottles across the floor and a couple of them have been opened. These are mostly sedatives that Zach has found and taken to mute out some of the harsh calling from Jenova*
Sephiroth: Yes, I can see. Thank you for informing me of the situation. *sighs and gently pats the girl, scowling* *”I am not sure if it ever truly dies. It’s parasitical in nature – when it’s large enough, it moves again.”* *grunts* *”We need to burn it and kill it off permanently.”*
Jenna: ~Yes, we certainly need to do some-~ *she paushes as she spots Xelong, who is currently scratching at his head as if trying to get rid of an annoying tick. She then moves further into the room* Zach..? *she blinks as she steps onto one of the bottles on the ground* What the?
Desiree: You’re welcome, father… *She glances around as soon as Sephiroth has his attention on Iris. She then frowns in thought, recalling how Jenna says that drinking alcohol makes “the pain” go away. So, she slowly moves back and opens up the compartment to Jenna’s stash of hard liquors. She tries to not garner any attention as she does this*
Zach: *hears Jenna’s voice and pulls blankets in the closet over himself, trying to stay well and properly hidden. He goes very still as he hears her outside, then puts his head down, hoping that she will just go away*
Sephiroth: *watches Desiree leave the room, grunting to himself as he sets Iris back down in her crib, despite the fact she’s still upset and making quite a bit of noise. He telepathically contacts Jenna, sighing* *”What are we going to do…?”*
