Sephiros: I don’t want to hear you giving me orders! *growls as the WEAPON’S jaw spasms as it’s other eye is taken out, then snarls, using every ounce of his strength to keep it pried open*
Kalysto: *gives no reply*
Desiree: *whimpres in fear as she hears no reply. She then tries to contact any of Kalysto’s demons that she’s met* ~Where’s Kalysto???~ *she shakes her head and backs out of the room. She then rushes toward Rhyderi’s room* Have you seen your brother?!
Kadaj: *growls* This is for mother.. *giving Sephiros one last glare, he dives down toward the WEAPON’s right leg. He then slashes at its elbow*
Rhyderi: *doesn’t seem too concerned as Desiree rushes into the room. He sets down the oiling rag he was using to polish his sword, then watches her for a moment before raising his eyebrows slightly* What makes you think I keep tabs on that one?
Kuppit: *picks up Desiree’s cry for help and contacts her* *”Yeaaah. Whad’dya want, girly? And what’s in it for me?”*
Desiree: He’s your brother! You should try to know where he is.. *whimpers and looks back to Kalysto’s lab* He’s missing. And it looks like someone attacked him. You have to have seen- I mean, your room is farther up the hallway than that one.. *whines then freezes up as the imp contcts her* ~Just tell me where Kalysto is! Is he in trouble?? He has to be… He’s always in trouble!~
Kuppit: *”What’s in it for me if I tell you anyway?”*
Sephiros: *with the WEAPON distracted, he manages to blast a psychic attack right into its throat. This causes the beast to loudly shriek and loudly gurgle, throwing up chunks of blood in the process. It falls out of the sky shortly after, and then goes completely still*
Desiree: *Growls in irritation* ~Fine! You can have a whole lot of chocolate. I know where Zach hides his stash. Now, just tell me where Kalysto is!!~ *whimpers, not caring much that Rhyderi is still in the room and can see her emotional outbursts*
Kadaj: *Grins as the WEAPON goes down. He then quickly lands in front of its maw* ~Mother, we did it! Come on out!~
Rhyderi: *gives her a pained look, and sets down his sword. He moves off the bed and walks over to his armor before beginning to put it on* Lead the way, I suppose. I’ll follow along… *mumbles quietly* …I’m never going to hear the end of it until I do.
Sephiros: *continues to open the maw of the beast, bending the jaw-hinge back on itself. Once open enough, He snaps the hinge permanently open, moving off the creature, scowling* Pathetic half-wits. Can’t do anything yourself.
Desiree: *continues to glare at a wall, still quite infuriated with the imp that she’s trying to persuade to assist her. She then blinks and glances over at Rhyderi* You mean that? *she grins then moves in to hug him* Thank you.. Now, if only I could figure out where you brother is..
Kadaj: *crosses his arms and glares at Sephiros* You do not know how hard we’ve been trying to help mother get free. We just simply don’t have your level of power.. yet.
Rhyderi: *stares at Desiree, then gives her a weak smile, sighing as he shakes his head wearily* What would I do otherwise? It’s against my credos to stand idle when another is in need of assistance. *mutters* Even if it is my felblood-stinking wench of a brother.
Sephiros: *glares at Kadaj, then picks up his sword, stabbing the WEAPON in the trachea before beginning to gut it in it’s soft jointer areas*
Desiree: *steps back from Rhyderi and softly chuckles at him* Credos… Heh, even if you didn’t have that sort of thing, you should help out your own flesh and blood. *she then turns around from him and glares at the wall once more* Now.. ~One of you stupid demons! Tell me where Kalysto is!!~
Kuppit: *”Heeeey. What makes you think I have ties to the old dude anyway?”* *giggles* *”He just pulls me out of my hiding spot and only uses me when he wants to. I don’t keep tabs on him. What makes you think I know where he is? I’ve got better things to do than keep an eye on that dolt.”*
Rhyderi: Possibly… possibly. *sighs and lowers his head, setting his sword on the ground, resting his hands on the hilt*
Desiree: ~Well, then, some other demon answer me! Where the hell is the one that wants the fuck him all the time? Certainly she knows where he is! Bael, you must know where he is! Someone!!~ *she clenches her fists, looking quite frustrated*
Kuppit: *”Hey, don’t even mess with the big guy. Do you mean the succubus? She’s getting it on with the Felhunter I think. Who even knows, y’know? I just make this stuff up as I go along…”* *pauses momentarily* *”Say what is chocolate anyway? And what makes you think it’s good enough to bribe ME with?”*
Desiree: *groans with frustration* ~I’ve dealth with the “big guy” before, and if I have to go all the way to him to get my answers, I will. As for chocolate..~ *she sends him a mental impression of the sweet* ~It’s a sugary treat made from a specific type of bean.~ *tries to contact Bael or any of Kalysto’s other demons. She even tries to contact Kalysto himself now* ~Someone tell me where Kalysto is!~
Bael: *seems highly irritated as Desiree contacts him* “If I knew the answer to that, girl, I would tell you. The body appears to be in a giant pool of blood. I cannot explain the nature of it for it is entirely foreign to me – however, the ‘master’ has partaken it more than once. If you want the spirit, you are out of luck – for it has parted from it’s mortal coil.”*
Desiree: *her eyes widen as she hears what Bael has to say. She then loudly whimpers and shakes her head* ~No! No… That.. That can’t be true.. Passed…?~ *closes her eyes and whimpers* ~In a pool of blood…? Lifestream?~ *she tries to send an impression of the lifestream to Bael* ~Can.. Can you guide the body to the surface?~
Bael: *”I would not worry too much. One who walks the line between life and death knows many a way to cheat.”* *rumbles and takes control of Kalysto’s body, manoeurving it to the surface before climbing out. He shakes himself off and flares out his wings, seeming dissatisfied with the small humanoid form* *”Until the spirit is united with the body again, it belongs to me.”*
Desiree: ~I hope that the spirit is reunited soon… Where are.. is.. umm… Where did you surface with that body? I’ll come and get you.~ *she glances back at Rhyderi and frowns* Kalysto’s demon says that he’s dead..
Bael: *”I appear to be in some sort of cave formation. It is tall.”* *growls* *”I have no time for inane descriptions.”* *leaps into the air and begins to use the formed wings to fly out of the crater*
Rhyderi: *blinks* How… odd. He’s dead-dead? *slowly shakes his head, looking conflicted* May the light have mercy on his damned soul.
Desiree: *Grumbles and shakes her head* Bael said something about Kalysto knowing how to cheat death… *deeply frowns in thought. She then sighs and tries to sense out Kalysto’s spirit. Meanwhile, she moves to exit the base* ~Some sort of cave, huh?~
*not long after Bael takes to the air, a dragon zombie swoops past him before it begins to attack a Tonberry*
Rhyderi: Then he’s not dead-dead. Just regular… dead. *pauses, realizing how silly that must sound. He waves his hands and shakes his head, sighing* Oh whatever. *follows after Desiree*
Bael: *”Some sort of cave. Yes. But I am not going to be in it much longer.”* *flies out the top of it and flares his wings out, roaring out to the land around him as if to declare his dominance*
Desiree: Umm… right… *reaches up to scratch the top of her head* Dead is dead.. You know that, right? There’s no different levels of dead. *she shakes her head then looks up at the sky and thinks* Cave… *frowning in thought, she continues trying to feel for Kalysto’s spirit within the spiritual realms*
Kadaj: *is currently knelt down in front of the downed WEAPON. He is calmly waiting for his mother to emerge. Since the area is regularly filled with roars from the resident monsters, he doesn’t notice Bael’s noise at all*
Rhyderi: There’s a few different levels of death. There’s the stage where one has just died – it’s very easy to call upon the source of the light to guide their spirit back to their body. Then there’s Undeath, which carries a different definition of it’s own. And then there is dead-dead… where the spirit has fled and would not return.
Kalysto: *his spirit is just idly drifting for the time being, and he does not actually seem aware that he is dead*
Bael: *ascends into the air and begins to fly south, flying far away from the crater*
Desiree: Right… *shakes her head* Well, guess by what you’re saying, you really wouldn’t be weirded out by the immortality bond that my mother and father have going… *she narrows her eyes then grins a bit as she finally senses Kalysto’s spirit. She then tries to send it a slight shock in order to make it aware* ~Hey, get back to your body..~
Rhyderi: I’ve heard of people acquiring immortality. Many abuse it and few use it for noble purposes, but it’s not unheard of. One could argue that the Warlock’s Soulstone allows them to have immortality, but it is not true immortality in the definition of the word.
Kalysto: *is relatively unresponsive and does nothing useful for now*
