Kalysto: *picks another piece of meat out of the stomach sac, then chews on it, trying to get used to the taste. He coughs lightly then pushes it aside, frowning* God… if I eat any more of that, I think I’m going to vomit. *picks up his teacup and resumes drinking that to get rid of some of the taste in his mouth*
Jenna: *eyes off the meal for a moment before reaching over to take a single bit of meat. She places it in her mouth before grunting and snorting* Indeed, quite disgusting. *With that, she gets up and begins heading toward the door*
Kalysto: *ignores Jenna temporarily as he finishes off his tea, setting the cup to one side. He glances down at the food, then pushes it off to one side, rising to his feet also* *”How are you going to pay for this?”*
Jenna: ~Think about it. You’re never going to set foot in that establishment again. Now, move.~ *she calmly walks away from the diner, not at all concerned with her thievery. Instead, she makes her way toward the mines*
Kalysto: *flicks his ears back as he hears yelling, then quickly moves after Jenna, almost breaking into a run* *”I am no common thief!”* *ignores the yelling and quickly moves to follow her, frowning at the screaming going on* *”What a shame people are so petty like that..”*
Jenna: ~Heh, common thievery or not, I care not. They are only humans. In the end, their lives will not be ruined by one unpaid service.~ *shivers a bit as she continues to walk to the mine* ~Are you certain that you want to accompany me? This is going to be rather boring.~
Kalysto: *”You’re talking me out of it?”* *stops, watching her* *”I wanted to see the magic technique you end up using to sink the mine. That’s all. You don’t want me to be around for that? Just say so, my feelings aren’t going to be hurt.”*
Jenna: ~I did not say that. I simply said that you did not need to feel obliged to follow me. I didn’t want you to get bored due to a pointless action. However, if you want to watch me, then I have no problems with that… However, you may want to stuff something in your ears soon.~ *stops as she reaches the edges of the mine’s operations. She then tilts her head as she surveys the area*
Kalysto: *nods his head and follows her to the edge of the mine. He glances at some protective equipment hanging nearby and grabs a pair of earmuffs, popping them onto his head properly* *”So how are you going to do it?”*
Jenna: *spots an area which is not being occupied for the most part. She then casts a spell to cloak herself and Kalysto from detection* ~Does your planet have legends of things called Sirens? Ghosts? That sort of thing?~ *Once fully cloaked, she sneaks into the mine*
Kalysto: *”Sirens? Like, creatures of the sea that scream and disorientate? Yes, but they’re more like Nagas than anything else. And they don’t drag men to their death.”* *raises his hands up, burning a summoning circle into the ground with fire to use as a quick escape if need be. Then he follows her down into the mine*
Jenna: *frowns at him* ~You shouldn’t have done that.~ *sighs and shakes her head* ~Make certain there’s no trace of you at all when we leave, understand?~ *she continues to move down into the depths of the mine. However, she stops as she sees a number of workers that are lounging about on break and discussing the murder from the night before*
Kalysto: *sighs and nods his head* *”I’ll destroy it when we leave.”* *glances at the workers, then back at Jenna* *”They’re just slobs. Ignore them, it’s nothing of real interest or importance.”*
Jenna: ~The common slob is the backbone to any mass hysteria. Do not underestimate them. Ever.~ *shakes her head. She then closes her eyes and begins to softly sing, utilizing latin to weave her spell in her song. Not long after she starts singing, a few of the men begin to suddenly start throwing up blood*
Kalysto: *”I see… so what are they going to do?”* *blinks at their sudden illness then takes a step back* *”How is this related to making them leave the mine?”* *shakes his head* *”I don’t see much here other than causing chaos and upsetting the masses here.”*
Jenna: ~Ghosts, superstitions, curses, forces that should not be tampered with. Humans are very prone to superstitious behavior, even in this time in age. By upsetting them and causing chaos that they cannot easily explain away, I am making them fall prey to their own nature. *continues to sing, spreading her spell throughout the mine by the sheer fact that her voice echoes against the walls of the mine. As the spell continues to take hold, more and more of the workers begins to experience strange things, varying from sudden illnesses, hallucination, and violent outbursts*
Sephiroth: *”So you’re trying to make this linked to the mine and not just random unfortunate happenings?”* *watches the men flail and suffer, slowly shaking his head* *”This isn’t how I would do it at all. I would appear before them with my wings out, and appear to be flaming, and tell them to get out.”*
Jenna: ~That is too easy to explain away as a hoax?~ *looks at him* ~I know that my way seems very convoluted, but to insure the maximum chance of success, i need to take as many percautions as possible. I also need to make certain that things remain timeless.~ *shakes her head but continues singing* ~And this is only part of my entire plan. I don’t suppose you know what I did to the male I spoke to last night?~
Kalysto: *”I don’t know very much of what you did at all, no.”* *shakes his head* *”Please feel free to enlighten me. So far I am seeing alot of tricks and no real destructive magic…. if you rely more on discord than on actual disaster, I admit my dissapointment…”*
Jenna: ~For this specific task, yes, I am not using so much destruction, yet, as I am mystique and subterfuge. With experience, I am certain that you’ll learn that pure destruction will not get you the results that you want. As for that man-~ *Sends him a psychic impression on how she used a similar song-like spell, that would have been heard throughout the city streets for the most part, to make the foreman’s man suffer a breakdown where he violently murdered his family before committing suicide*
Kalysto: *”Nice… that isn’t my style, but I’m glad it’s working for you. I would be dissapointed if your efforts were doing nothing at all…”* *watches the mayhem, although he seems a little bored of it* *”This thing is extensive…. how are you going to do it?”*
Jenna: ~Yes, I understand that none of this is your style. However, one needs to keep in mind what the task that is being given to them is when they choose what style to use. I was not told to simply blow up this mine. What I was asked was to keep the humans from digging her, for good.~ *glances further down the mine* ~We’ll head down there soon. Then, I’ll set up the implosion.~
Kalysto: *”I wonder what’s being hidden here, that the dragons didn’t want found. Maybe you can dig it up yourself and use it against them. I most certainly would hold it for ransom, or use it for blackmail purposes if I knew how to properly.”* *smirks* *”I say you should find it before you blow this place sky high.”*
Jenna: *nods at Kalysto’s suggestions* ~Yes, that can be done. But I have no intentions of holding the dragons ransom, so unless it is beyond extraordinary, I’ll leave it be.~ *Glances downward* ~It’s probably just a nest.~ *she then scans the area with her magic in an attempt to sense a safe place to teleport*
