Jenna: *Once she is fully showered and dressed, she moves over to Kalysto and tilts her head as she studies the way that he is sleeping. She then snorts* Males.. *shaking her head, she moves to turn on the television and check the local news*
Kalysto: *continues to snooze away, completely obvlivious to everything else right now. However, his ears instinctively twitch towards the source of the noise, and if Jenna persists with the volume, he would soon begin to rouse*
Jenna: *grins as she sees a report on the horrible acts done by the foreman’s son, for he had randomly turned violent against his family and killed them all before slitting his own throat last night. She then nods in approval* And thus the seeds are sewn.
Kalysto: *continues to rest, though with Jenna talking now, he has begun to wiggle, roused from sleep* Seeds…? *shakes his head* No thanks…. *yawns, then forces himself to sit up, stretching momentarily* What seeds are sown?
Jenna: Hmm? Oh, I thought you were still asleep. *dismissively waves her hand* Discord and whatnot. It’s more of a phrase than anything. Do not worry yourself over it.
Kalysto: Oh I get it… *rubs a hand through his hair, messing the spikes up even more than they already are* You caused dissarray and now there’s more fearing people. Smart. *yawns* So is this how you normally operate?
Jenna: Hmm? I operate as I operate when I operate depending on the circumstances of my operation. *smirks at him and shrugs* I cannot say whether or not there is a “normal” at any point.
Kalysto: Yeah, OK. *glares slightly* So in other words, no. You coulda just said that in the beginning you know. *flicks the covers off himself and moves to his feet, stretching* So what’s for breakfast around here?
Jenna: Said that from the beginning, hm? Which beginning are you referring to? And.. breakfast? Oh, right, your kind eats more than once a day. *chuckles* I forget that. *shrugs* I have not thought of any breakfast; however, I do not mind helping you in acquiring food.
Kalysto: The longest I ever went without food was three days. While its entirely possible to go like that, I’d prefer if I didn’t. Finding something to eat for breakfast, even dry toast, would be preferrable to going hungry. *stares at her for a moment* What do you mean, my kind? Everybody needs to eat more than once a day.
Jenna: Everybody? *chuckles* No, not everybody. *shakes her head* I have regularly gone an entire day to three without eating. That is just the way my metabolism is. *she then glances at the television again* Let me know when you are ready to go. We’ll get you food, then I’ll go to the mine itself.
Kalysto: Sounds like a plan. *glances around to see if he’s leaving anything behind, then slips out of the room, waiting out in the hallway*
Jenna; *stands up as Kalysto moves out of the room. She then nods and moves past him* Before you have the chance to complain: I do not know a thing about human food nor their serving techniques. So, the food you will get is not my fault. *with that, she steps out onto the street. Soon enough, she finds a sign that labels a store as a diner* This should do.
Kalysto: *follows Jenna out onto the street, then into the diner* You know… all the writing is still in their language. I’m not going to know a thing about… *sniffs the air and recoils slightly* What in the world is that odour? *takes a seat at one of the tables, then picks up a menu* I take it you’re not going to eat?
Jenna: Why would I eat the food of these vermin? *Snorts and shakes her head* No, I’m not near hungry enough to eat their food. *She sighs as she watches him* Do you need me to transalate that thing?
Kalysto: *glances at it, then flicks the menu at her* Go ahead. Though judging from the sour odour in the air, I’m not terribly sure I want to eat breakfast here. Or at all, actually. *glances at one of the other tables and observes a worker eating a large pancake with sour cream and a side dish of fruit* I think I just want tea…
Jenna: I do not know of this tea, but… *groans and reads over the menu. She then begins to just spout out the transalation of what she’s reading to Kalysto*
Kalysto: *narrows his eyes at some of the food descriptions, then grumbles* Ask them if they’d do eggs and bacon on toast. With some kind of… side. *shrugs* I’d also be content with whatever tea they have, honestly.
Jenna: *narrows her eyes in frustartion. She then waves a waitress over and begins to order for Kalysto. She randomly points at something on the “breakfast” side of the menu. She also tells the waitress to get him tea. When asked what she wants, she simply says “water”*
Kalysto: *leans back in the chair, waiting for the meal to come around. It arrives about ten minutes later, and he stares at the plate as it is placed down in front of him. The plate contains an inflated stomach stuffed with meats and spices, garnished with crushed fruit and potatoes. He picks up a fork and begins to poke at it, lowering his head* What the fuck is this…? *scowls at the water set down nearby, then glances at the cup set down beside him and quickly picks up the spoon so he can stir it* At least something is alright here. *begins to sip it*
Jenna: *Shrugs* You wouldn’t make a decision. So, I pointed and ordered. So that is… *tilts her head* Something. *she shrugs once more then grabs the glass of water* At least I can fully say what I’m having. *with that, she sips on the water*
Kalysto: Hey, I told you what I wanted. *frowns* What’s wrong with eggs and bacon on toast? jams a fork into the bloated stomach and peers inside, wincing slightly* What is it…? *pokes the fork in properly and wiggles it around for a second, pulling out a piece of what appears to be spiced meat* It doesn’t smell very appealing. This chef hasn’t worked out harmony of spices at all. *nibbles a piece of the meat and screws his face up*
Jenna: I read off the selection to you. You didn’t give me any proper directions, so I resorted to pointing. *looks at his meal and shrugs* I don’t know what you’re talking about, but it looks edible at the least.
Kalysto: It’s a fucking… cow stomach with crap in it. *pokes the food again, causing some of the spice stuffing to leak out the top* Would any of your kids eat this? *begins to reluctantly nibble on more of it, just for the sheer fact of being hungry* Even dry toast would have been better than this…
