Desiree: ~I’m not abandoning this demon. You- I mean.. Umm.. The old man.. Yea.. He would have never told me to pick it up if it was a hopeless cause.~ *Sighs at Lezprah and shakes her head* I said leave him alone.
Lezprah: *pins his ears back and snarls as Kalysto kicks him. He then flicks his tail then gets to his feet. He soon jumps onto the bed and lies down there*
Desiree: *Groans then moves into the bathroom so that she can finish her morning routine*
Kalysto: *”When you’re done, you should probably check outside, here….”* *wanders off the porch, stepping down onto the tiled path to the end of the property. He continues to stare at the carnage around him, then telepathically feeds the images to Desiree*
Desiree: ~Damn… That’s all animal parts, right? Umm… We should probably clean that up as soon as possible. You know what my father’s reputation is, right? They’ll think bad things about him if they see it..~
Kalysto: *”If they look hard enough, I don’t think this was done by a person.”* crouches down to pick up the remainder of a leg, examining the bitemarks* *”See? Too unclean to be done by a sword or other cleaving weapon. A wild animal did this.”* *blinks, scanning the area for his Felhunter* *”I think this is probably my fault…”*
Desiree: ~Yea, that would require humans to pay a lick of attention. Remember, these are humans and my father has a very, very bad reputation that involves slaughtering an entire town. I really don’t think they’ll waste any time in jumping to conclusions.~ *finishes getting dressed. She then looks at Lezprah* Come with me. *She then moves out of the house and to Kalysto’s side*
Lezprah: *stalks after Desiree. Upon moving outside, he snorts in distaste*
Kalysto: *glances down at the cat* This was actually your fault, wasn’t it? *sighs as he looks around the town* Are you sure you didn’t leave any portals open, Desiree? This looks like a hell of a lot for five Felhunters to do in one night.
Lezprah: *pulls his ears back and snarls at Kalysto before releasing a firm “neow”*
Desiree: *shakes her head* No, I didn’t leave a single rift open. I make certain to close those things as soon as possible. *sighs and looks about the area once more* Well… Damn. *shaking her head, she sighs* ~Father, are you awake?~
Sephiroth: *is still very much asleep right now and doesn’t reply to Desiree’s calling*
Kalysto: *scans out the area for demons, wondering how far away his Felhunter has gotten* I’ll be back shortly. *walks back into the house, returning a few moments later wearing his robe and gloves, then begins to wander away from the house, heading for the land beyond* He and his puppies are at the north side of this place. They’re clustering together, so that’s useful at least. *motions ahead* Come on.
Desiree: *Glances back toward the house as Kalysto moves inside. She then nods* Ok, be back soon. *She then scans over the village before groaning* Shit, this is a mess.. *she then sends a powerful psychic shock toward Sephy’s head* ~Father… Wake up. You need to come outside.~ *she then yelps as she notices Kalysto moving toward the woods. So, she nods and jogs after him*
Kalysto: *as he gets further away from the town, the carnage lessens, but the kills are much bigger. He kicks at a dead monster, wrinkling his nose as a foul odour begins to taint the air the further in he goes* Ugh, something smells like shit.
Sephiroth: *makes a weak groan and finally stirs* *”…. what…? What happened outside….?”*
Desiree: ~I don’t know what happened, Father… But you need to get your men to do some major clean up or some-~ *Gags at the stench from a kill that she passes. She then shakes her head* Irk…
Lezprah: *follows after both Kalysto and Desiree. He hops onto one of the larger kills and sniffs it before growling and shaking his head. He then leaps down to return to Desiree’s side once more*
Sephiroth: *”Clean up? Did somebody do something to my house?”* *sits up, frowning. He lightly nudges Jenna* Get up. Something has happened outside. *despite the fact he is still naked, he slides out of the bed and peers out the window, scowling at the carnage he finds on the lawn outside* What the hell…
Kalysto: *kicks at another monster corpse, then continues to make his way ahead, finally coming upon the group of Felhunters. He immediately folds his arms and glares down at them all, tapping his foot* OK, what the fuck did all of you do?
Droozun: *backs up from Kalysto, seeming to be afraid. He makes miserable grunting sounds and shakes his maw, trying to indicate that he didn’t do anything*
Jenna: *groans as Sephiroth nudges her. She then cracks open her eyes* Something happened outside? What are you talking about? *yawns and tries to nuzzle her nose against Seph’s pillow, wanting to bask in his scent more*
Desiree: *tilts her head as she spots Droozun. She then frowns* Hey, boy. What’s got you spooked? *glances at Kalysto then at Droozun* I don’t think he’s that afraid of you.
Droozun: Urrrrurrrurrr…. *backs up against his puppies, practically standing on them as he tries to cover them with himself*
Kalysto: *narrows his eyes, then glances around the area* Something else did this. And by the sounds of things, its either very close by, or it’s gone. *sighs and shakes his head* So… keep on your guard. If the thing that did this is still around here, it’s liable to come get us next.
Desiree: *nods her head* Yea, that definitely sounds like good advice to me. *she looks about the area and sighs* I don’t see or hear anything yet though. You have the big ears… Do you hear anything?
Lezprah: *snarls and begins to pace about the area. He retracts his claws as he moves about, clearly on guard*
Kalysto: *flicks his ears back at her comment, frowning* At least you’re not picking on them… *shakes his head* All I hear is wind moving through bushes, rustling leaves. There aren’t even animal sounds, which is a little unnerving. *lowers his head, scowling*
Desiree: You should know by now that even if I did make fun of you, I wouldn’t mean it. *shakes her head at him. She then looks about the area* Well, I would imagine with all the animals being dead, that they wouldn’t be making any noise. *sighs* I’ll be back… *she then activates her levitation abilities before moving up above the trees*
*if Desiree is scanning the area, there is a large presence hiding under the ground, heavily burrowed in the soil. It is sleeping right now, and not moving*
Kalysto: No, but more animals move in when that happens. Not even the wildlife has stayed. It scattered. There’s something that has scared them off. *frowns down at the Felhunters* Are you sure you didn’t do this?
Droozun: Ih. *shakes his maw again*
Desiree: *narrows her eyes as she initially doesn’t see anything at all from being so high. She then sighs* Well, time to use another sense.. *She then begins to do a psychic sweep of the area. Frowning at the results, she sends an impression of her findings to Kalysto* ~Below you..~
Kalysto: *freezes, glancing at the ground* *”Directly below me?”* *scowls at Droozun and shakes his head* Move. Now. *gently steps off the ground and begins to back up* *”Can you pinpoint it’s location…? How big is it? Can I blow it up?”*
Desiree: ~I alraedy showed you all that I can sense, but if you really need to feel it again..~ *groans and sends another impression of her findings to Kalysto. Shaking her head, she moves to land behind his location* I don’t know if it can be blown up at all. I don’t even know what it is. All I really know is that its below us.
Sephiroth: Wake up and look outside. Something clearly happened outside last night. More specifically, my front yard. *scowls back at Jenna* Do you even want to look? *telepathically sends her the images of exploded animal corpses and blood splatters that he saw just now*
Kalysto: Get far away from here. You’re not immortal and once you’re dead, there’s no way of you coming back. *raises his hands, gathering magic energy to charge an enormous molten ball of fire*
Desiree: You’re not immortal either, Kalysto. *shakes her head* I’m not about to let you risk your life alone. *Despite her words, she takes a few steps back as Kalysto charges up the ball*
Jenna: *Groans* Our front yard? *slowly sits up and rubs her eyes. She then shakes her head, more to get her hair out of her eyes than anything else. With that, she moves over to the window and glances outside* Hrmph… Wonderful.
Kalysto: *flicks his ears back* *”Relax. I got a ticket out of death if I turn into splattered carnage. I’ve already been killed before. But I know how to cheat death.”* *once the ball is big enough, he hurls it at the ground, the ball making a deep explosion as it hits the ground, causing everything nearby to shake. The ball buries itself in the earth, melting the soil, turning everything it touches into molten lava slag* If this doesn’t kill whatever caused the mess… it’s not going to be happy after that!
*there is a loud enraged shrieking noise and a large white tentacle punches it’s way through the lava, flicking burning hot slag everywhere*
Droozun: *loudly snarls and fluffs up all the hairs on his body, becoming angry and quite prepared to die fighting*
Sephiroth: Isn’t it? *narrows his eyes* I just wish I knew what caused it.
Desiree: *yelps as she sees the white tentacle punch through the lava. She then rushes foward to tackle Kalysto the ground and push him out of the path of a bit of the slag* Yea.. Well, that doesn’t mean that you’re immortal.. *glances back at the tentacle* What the fuck is that?
Lezprah: *snarls at the sight of the lava and does several smoke teleportations to avoid the danger. He then lunges at the tentacle and tries to swipe at it*
Jenna: Fuck if I know. *shakes her head* I know for certain that I don’t feel like cleaning that up.
