Jenna knelt down to grasp onto Azul. She then teleported them back onto the ground before she moved in to place the dress on the girl. As she stood up, she snorted and shook her head.
“We all have to be uncomfortable today. Just remember that you won’t need to wear one of these things again for a long time,” Jenna commented, though it was partially to herself.
With that said, she moved away to find Iris so that she could make certain that girl got properly dressed as well.
Desiree promptly nodded at Holly’s words. “That sounds perfect. I don’t want to be over the top. That would just look bad.”
She then glanced to the door as she heard Kalysto leave. However, she wasn’t bothered by his hasty exit. She knew that a lot of things needed to be done at the beach house.September 16, 2010 at 1:16 am #48140
Over the next 15 minutes, Holly gave Desiree a rather pretty look with the makeup as she said she would. She had given Desiree the best looking makeup job that she could think of in the short space of time. By the the time she was done, Desiree had proper eye-liner, gently blushed cheekbones, and eye shadow.
She handed the different lipsticks to Desiree, hoping she could decide which one she wanted.
Azul made soft pathetic crying sounds as Jenna finished dressing her. She tried to reverse her gravity again, and if successful, she would drop onto the couch and sulk.
Iris put on her clothes without protest. She knew there was little point in complaining anyway.September 16, 2010 at 1:51 am #48141
Jenna pat Iris on the head after she finished dressing her, quite grateful that she didn’t need to deal with two raging children. She then moved on to dress Alexander and Kether. Once all the children were dressed, she brought them into the living room so that they could prepare to leave.
Meanwhile, Desiree glanced over the lipsticks. She wasn’t fully certain as to how to pick the lipstick. However, she eventually decided on a frosty pink color. She then grinned at Holly.
“Thank you for all of your help. I know that you don’t have any obligations to me.”September 16, 2010 at 2:50 am #48142
Iris sat on the lounge, glaring out the window. She didn’t see the point of any of this, but she wasn’t about to complain and make things worse than they already were. She just wished it were over already. She sat with her other siblings, looking just as uncomfortable as they were.
Sephiroth had gotten Orpheus and Milena ready, setting them with the other children. It was easier that way, and he guessed that they would all feel like equals.
“How are we getting there? Did somebody hire a bus?”
Holly patted Desiree’s shoulder. “It was no problem. I just wish Zach would marry me. But…” She shrugged. “It’s not my day. Let’s get you out of here and on your way.”September 16, 2010 at 3:26 am #48143
Jenna glanced at Seph before she shook her head at him.
“I didn’t hire anyone for such a task. We might as well just teleport there. There’s no reason not to hide that we can do such any more.”
She looked over at the children and sighed at how misserable they mostly looked. Still, she had no means of cheering them up, for she had to wear formal attire as well. So, she just moved to Seph’s side and pat his hand.
“Well, shall we?”
“I think Zach is waiting for a house to open up for him, Holly,” Desiree commented. “it’d look really bad if he was married and still living with mother and father.”September 16, 2010 at 3:45 am #48144
Holly sighed. “Yeah, you’re right. He said he was still looking. He’s not lying about it. I just wish he was less picky. He wants a house that can accomadate Xelong when he grows.”
She nudged her shoulder. “Well, we better get you to the beach house. Do you want me to drive you there?”
Sephiroth nodded his head. “I have a suit waiting for me… as I am to give Desiree away.” He openly frowned at the thought. “Still…”
He stepped back, raising his hand. “It’s a short distance, but this works better.” He formed a portal in the middle of the living room. “Step in. I will come last.”September 16, 2010 at 3:53 am #48145
Desiree chuckled at Holly’s commentary. She then nodded at her.
“Yea, that sounds just like him. Xelong is his life. Though… he’s technically his little brother…,” Desiree shrugged as she finished off the sentence. Next, she nodded at Holly’s suggestion. “Yes, let’s get going. I need to get changed over there. I don’t want my dress to get wrinkled.”
So, she dashed into the closet so that she could grab her dress. She then moved out to the SUV so that she could drive to the beach.
Jenna allowed herself an amused smirk as she witnessed Sephiroth’s frown. She knew that she shouldn’t be so humored at his discomfort. However, she never actually imagined Sephiroth giving any of their children away… nor them having children.. when she first met him.
So, when he opened the portal, she nodded and escorted the children through. Before stepping through herself, she moved to Sephiroth’s side so that she could kiss him.
“Everything will be fine.”September 16, 2010 at 4:07 am #48146
Holly followed Desiree out to the SUV. “A bride driving to her own wedding? Don’t be silly…” She sighed. “But if you want to…” She nodded. “Zach and Xelong are going with the other group I think.”
She stepped into the car and buckled herself in. “You’re not nervous?”
Sephiroth grumbled half-assedly as Jenna kissed him. “I wish I could believe that…” He sighed. “But I suppose you are right.” He stepped through the portal, landing neatly on the ground just outside the beach-house. He pushed the door open and began trying to encourage the mob of relatives to go inside.
Kalysto was already inside, adding the last touches to the area. Bouquets of flowers from the natural surrounding environment hung from the walls, and the seats were decorated with white ribbons. He did his best to make the area look decorated, yet still tasteful.
Zulmire was sitting up the front, and peered back at the doors. He was probably just as bored and unhappy as everybody else.September 16, 2010 at 4:15 am #48147
Jenna helped Sephiroth usher the children to their seats. She carried Kether as she did this, for the infant was not old enough, nor much of anything else, to move on his own. She then glanced back at Sephiroth before she nodded at him.
“Get going. You need to get ready.”September 16, 2010 at 5:27 am #48148
Sephiroth made a quiet resigned sigh and slipped off down the front of the beach house, dissapearing into one of the side rooms. He momentarily peered back to look at how many people were there so far, seeming amused when he noted that most of it was his own personal family. He moved inside to change.
Over the course of the next 10 minutes, the rest of the wedding party had filed into the beach house. With the addition of Kalysto’s invited group, the beach house was not crowded, but not empty either.
Sephiroth came out of the side room, dressed in a rather uncomfortable looking suit. He made his way to the back of the room and waited for Desiree.September 16, 2010 at 5:34 am #48149
Desiree arrived at the beach house well within time to get dressed and ready. After informing Holly that she no longer needed assistance, she locked herself up in a side room so that she could get changed. However, she had an issue with the zipper. After a few moments of trying, she groaned in frustration before she closed her eyes.
~Father, may I request your assistance?~September 16, 2010 at 5:58 am #48150
Sephiroth sighed. *”Yes, I understand… I’ll be there within a few moments.”* He made his way down the side of the chairs on the bride’s side of the congregation, slipping into the back room where he could find Desiree. Once there, he raised eyebrows at her, before shaking his head, stepping forwards.
“How did you manage that?” He said quietly as he reached behind her to gently zip up the back. “We’re almost ready to start…”September 16, 2010 at 6:01 am #48151
Desiree grumbled as Sephiroth zipped her up, “I thought that I had everything handled, Father… However, it got snagged and I couldn’t get it unsnagged on my own… Thank you.”
She sighed as Sephiroth’s hands left the zipper. She then reached over to secure the veil on her head. As she finished up getting herself ready, she tilted her head to look over Sephiroth.
“You look good, Father. Thank you for doing this.”September 16, 2010 at 6:04 am #48152
Sephiroth frowned. “It doesn’t fit. It doesn’t feel right either.” He pulled at one of the sleeves. “This wasn’t fit to my dimensions. It’s a rental.” He scowled. “It looks good? I’m glad, because it doesn’t feel comfortable.”
He took a seat nearby and put his head down. “I suppose you will be glad when this is all over?”September 16, 2010 at 4:33 pm #48153
Desiree turned to give Sephiroth a better look before she slowly nodded at him. “Yea, I guess it doesn’t fit you perfectly…”
She bit her bottom lip as she considered this. She then moved in toward Sephiroth before she set her hands on his shoulders.
“I’m no where near as good as mother, but I’m going to try..,” Desiree mumbled before she softly changed a spell that is meant to help clothing conform to the wearer. The spell is not perfect, but it may make the suit more comfortable for Sephiroth.September 16, 2010 at 5:12 pm #48154
Sephiroth looked down at his clothing, seeming vaguely intruiged by Desiree’s magic spell on his clothes. He wriggled around in the suit, nodding at her. “It fits better,” He admitted, “But it’s no more comfortable than it was.”
He rose to his feet again and peered through a crack in the door. “They’re almost ready to begin. Are you ready?”September 16, 2010 at 5:20 pm #48155
Desiree grinned as her father stated that her spell made him a bit more comfortable. However, she soon gasped as he mentioned that it was almost time. So, she rushed over to the mirror to make certain that everything was in place. Thus, she fiddled around with her veil before she looked over at Sephiroth.
“I don’t know… How do I look?”September 16, 2010 at 5:38 pm #48156
Sephiroth gave Desiree a hopeless look. “Like a bride…?” Despite the point of the ceremony and the fact that Desiree wasn’t going anywhere or moving away, he couldn’t help but feel like he was losing her today.
“You look fine. Your dress is immaculate, and you look very tidy and… ready to get married.” He made a quiet sigh and stood beside her, offering his arm. “Do you want to do this?”September 16, 2010 at 6:03 pm #48157
Desiree’s lips slowly curled into a smile as Sephiroth complimented her. Soon enough, she moved in to lean toward him. She then hugged him before she gave him a short kiss on the cheek. Once she was done hugging her father, she moved to take his arm.
“Yes, I’m ready.”September 16, 2010 at 6:18 pm #48158
Sephiroth closed his eyes as Desiree kissed him. Although the gesture was relatively short and simple, he was calmed by it. He peered off to the side, motioning to some of the Beach-House workers that they were ready.
When the wedding music began, Sephiroth steeled himself, tensing in the shoulders. He formed a blank expression on his face as he pushed the door open and began to slowly walk down the aisle with Desiree, concentrating solely on getting to the front at that moment.
Meanwhile, Kalysto stood at the front in a shadowy-purple suit, grinning at Desiree. He moved his arms behind his back and stood tall, doing his best to look proud and handsome.September 16, 2010 at 6:25 pm #48159
Desiree grinned as she strolled down the aisle, taking care not to get her train snagged on anything as she moved. For the most part, her attention was on her groom, so she didn’t notice Sephiroth’s discomfort.
As she reached the end of the aisle, she nodded at her father and gave him a confident grin before she stepped up beside Kalysto. Once in place, she looked the elf over prior to whispering out to him, “You look magnificent, my demon lord.”September 17, 2010 at 2:45 am #48160
Shortly after Desiree reached the front of the beach-house aisle, Sephiroth stepped off to the side, moving out of the way. His job was basically over. He breathed a small sigh and looked around the room before he turned his attention to the floor space in his immediate proximity.
Kalysto nodded gently at Desiree’s comment, wiggling an ear at her. He lowered his head, whispering in reply to her. “Ah yes. but today, nobody is supposed to look as beautiful as you.” He turned his attention to the crowd. He saw Desiree’s family on her side of the room, and the few people he had invited on his side. A dissapointed frown appeared on his face shortly afterwards – his own brother wasn’t anywhere among them.
Milena loudly squeaked as she ran down the aisle, throwing rose petals onto the ground and at people sitting directly next to the aisle. When she reached the front she attempted to hug Desiree’s leg with one paw, her other still holding the basket of petals.
The marriage director nodded at both Kalysto and Desiree. “Now that we are all gathered, we can begin.”September 17, 2010 at 3:04 am #48161
Desiree gave Milena a brief glance before she shook her head. She then grinned at her before she nodded to her father. “Please stand with him, Milena.”
Soon after, she returned her attention to the wedding director. She had noted Kalysto’s mild look of disappointment, but she didn’t want to spoil the moment. So, she just reached over to squeeze Kalysto’s hand as she listened to the director.
When prompted, she smiled before confidently proclaiming, “I do.”September 17, 2010 at 3:15 am #48162
At that moment, Rhyderi crashed into the room, looking very flustered and upset. He peered into the room and stopped dead in his tracks, remaining where he was at the back of the proceedings. Then he shook his head and stepped into one of the side rooms, making his way down to the front, dissapearing entirely for a brief moment before taking his seat with Kalysto’s side of the room.
The look he gave Desiree and Kalysto at that moment was one of utter hopelessness. His expression practically read “please forgive me”.
Kalysto momentarily flicked his eyebrows at him, glaring. Then he turned back to the ceremony at hand, reaching out to take Desiree’s hands in his. “O’ an,” he nodded at her when he was prompted. “I do.”September 17, 2010 at 3:35 am #48163
Desiree’s stance tensed as she heard Rhyderi barge into the beach house. She momentarily tilted her head to look back at him before she frowned. Subtly, she shook her head in admonishment before she turned her attention back to Kalysto. Soon enough, she grinned as she was asked to put the wedding band on her new husband.
Jenna turned her head at the distraction which was Rhyderi. She then snorted at him before she grumbled, “They should have locked the doors.”
