Sephiroth picked up the crate. “Phhh. Who walks anywhere when they’re late for work.” He walked over to Jenna, placing his hand on her shoulder, teleporting them to the door of his office. “Much better, hmm? And look, no whining?” He set the crate down on Jenna’s desk.
“I am going to make coffee. And then I am going to start that demonstration.”
Jenna chuckled as Sephiroth announced his intentions to make coffee. Shaking her head, she sat down at her desk before she pulled up Sephiroth’s agenda for the day. Soon after, she printed it out so that she could set it down on his desk.
Meanwhile, Dimitri was currently in Edgeworth’s office, going through the files on the most recent criminals that had been apprehended by the TURKs.
Near Dimitri’s desk, an envelope sat on the table. It was gold paper, and the back had been sealed with a wax stamp. There was no name on the stamp nor the front of the letter and it sat near the file, waiting to be discovered.
Edgeworth was already elsewhere in the building arranging a taskforce for his new department in the north.

Sephiroth made his way to the cafeteria, scowling at the others he met. He made his way to the coffee machine, making himself a cappachino before heading back to the office, sipping on it.
“What time is the demonstration?”
Dimitri peaked at the envelope from time to time as he continued to sort the papers. At first, he was determined to get through his task. However, his curiosity finally got the better of him. So, the boy set the papers down on the desk before he reached over to take the envelope.
After shaking the envelope to hear for anything suspicious, Dimitri gently opened up the seal so that he could peek inside.

Jenna looked up as Sephiroth returned with the foul-smelling drink. She never understood how he could stand such a refreshment. As far as she could tell, it stunk and little else. Still, Jenna restrained her desire to insult the drink, for she had done such on several other occasions. Instead, she looked up at Sephiroth with a calm expression.
“Around twelve thirty. We have more than sufficient time.”
The envelope seal would have been rather easy to break. Inside the envelope was a 10,000gil gift voucher for a formal menswear store that wasn’t far away from the ShinRa Building.
Stapled to it was a small note, which simply read: ‘You are going to outgrow your suit soon.’

“We rushed to work for that? I could have slept in for another hour and they wouldn’t have cared.” He shrugged. “I am going to do some boring things for a while, then. Disconnect my phone and take messages. I’m too busy to talk. I don’t care who calls.” With that, he stepped into his office and shut the door.
Dimitri shook the envelope a few times as he emptied it out onto the desk. As he spotted the gift certificate and the note, a large smile spread onto his lips. So, he happily gripped onto the gift certificate to look it over a few times.
~Thank you so much, Miles!~ Dimitri exclaimed via telepathy. ~Umm… when are you going to be back here? My mother just got to work.~

Jenna rolled her eyes at Sephiroth as he complained about not being able to sleep in. Before he shut the door, she called out to him, “You still have other work that you can do!”
Edgeworth did not reply as he could not use telepathy. However, he decided to use the next best thing – a telephone. His cellphone. Thus, within the next five seconds, the office phone beside Dimitri began to ring.

*”There’s always other work I could be doing.”* Sephiroth chuckled. *”And when the other work is done… there’s other-other work to do…”*
Dimitri grinned as the telephone rang. After quickly checking the caller ID and seeing that it was Miles, he happily picked it up.
“Yes, Miles?”

Jenna rolled her eyes at Sephiroth’s statements. Sighing, she pulled up her own work so that she could get it done and over with.
“To answer your question,” Miled replied to him on the other end of the cellphone. “Circumstances beyond my control mean that I will be here for most of the day. After midday, I will be driving north to the building we have set up for the police task force, and for the investigation team. Everything is finally falling into place.”
“I’m sorry for the circumstances today,” He sighed. “But it can’t be helped. If I get some free time today however, I will talk to your mother.”
“Oh, right…,” Dimitri stumbled over himself a bit as he hit his realization. “I forgot that you can’t reply to me that way… Heh, I’m so used to everyone just being able to talk to each other with our minds.”
“Still… I thought you wanted to go back to your real age, Miles.”
“Yes, of course I do.” Edgeworth replied rather quickly. “I want to change back and I don’t see why it has taken so long for such to come about. However, that does not change the fact that my work comes before my personal wishes.”
“Is there anything else you wanted to talk to me about?”
“Umm… Miles, you do know that it’s taken so long because you keep on saying that, right?” Dimitri inquired. “Each time you have an opportunity, you say that you’re busy and that work comes first.”
Dimitri then bit his lip before he shrugged, even though he knew Edgeworth couldn’t see the action. “I don’t really have anything else to talk about, Miles. I’m sorting the cases that you had asked me to, that’s all.”
“Keep sorting them.” Edgeworth replied. “Good work. Keep sorting them and go through the ones on the most recent internal army murder case – I expect that the ShinRa employees will want to keep an eye on that one for themselves.”
“If you don’t need anything further, then I shall bid you goodbye.” And with that, he hung up and resumed working.
Dimitri sighed as he hung up the phone. He wasn’t certain what to think of Edgeworth at times. The man kept on saying that he wanted to be his real age. However, he never made time to make that happen. So, he just moved to continue sorting through the case files in Edgeworth’s office.

Meanwhile, Jenna knocked on Sephiroth’s door within an hour of the time that their demonstration was scheduled to start.
“Seph, we should head there now so that we can set up and prepare. Remember, we’re just demonstrating. You don’t need to teach them anything, just show off.”
Sephiroth grinned at Jenna’s comment. He raised a hand, flicking the door open for her to come in. “Show off my skills, hmm? Well that’s easy for me.” He rose to his feet, dusting himself off so he could look more presentable and tidy for the demonstration.
“Any requests?” He asked her. “Though, with you… anything I do isn’t that interesting compared to the magic at your fingertips.”
Jenna gave Sephiroth a cold smirk as he complimented her skills. She then lifted her finger to press it against his lips.
“There’s nothing magical about my fingers. It’s the rest of me that you have to be worried about,” Jenna teased before she moved to give Sephiroth his box of materia. “Just keep it interesting, Seph. Show them whatever combinations you can think of. And make certain your belts are tightened properly.”
Soon after, she moved toward the training grounds.
“Make sure my belts are tightened properly?” He snorted. “Why? I seriously doubt that my pants are going to fall down during the demonstration.” He checked the belts regardless, shrugging as he picked up the box of Materia.
“Keep it interesting…” He pondered the words. “Ahh I suppose I can do something. Are you coming with me?”
Jenna moved up to Sephiroth’s side before she nudged him. “Of course I’m coming with you. We are doing the demonstration together, after all.”
She then glanced at his outfit before she continued on, “As for your belts, you were concerned about your clothing fitting properly this morning. So, I figured that I’d show the same concern.”
Not waiting much longer, Jenna began to escort Sephiroth to the training grounds.
Sephiroth headed outside. He was most amused at the fact that he was allowed to show off and fully intended to do so. He made his way outside to the courtyard, standing in the training area while he waited for the others to arrive. He set the box of materia on the ground and began to go through them, equipping them as he saw fit.
“If you are going to be part of this demonstration also…” He said to Jenna, pondering. “…what are you going to do?”
Jenna silently watched Sephiroth as he equipped the materia. She always found it interesting how those large marbles could just slide into Sephiroth’s flesh. However, she didn’t really find them interesting enough to compliment them.
When Sephiroth spoke to her, she gave him a wry smirk before she looked into his eyes, “Ah, now that may be cheating.”
Sephiroth frowned at her. “How is it cheating by asking what you are going to do? We’re not being pitted against each other, are we?” He smirked at her and teleported his sword to his hand, placing it away at his side shortly afterwards.
“It’s not cheating,” He grunted finally. “Not at all.”
“Ah, but we are being pitted up against each other. However, it is just an expedition. So, no getting lethal,” Jenna moved in to pat Sephiroth’s upper left arm. “Anyway, how can I showcase guile and deception if you already know what’s coming?”
“How can I have room to show off if the threat of you defeating me looms over my head?” Sephiroth reached over to poke at her shoulder. “I don’t mind them pitting us against each other for the purpose of a demonstration. I just find it a little silly…”
He shrugged. “What are you going to demonstrate?”
“Didn’t I just give you the answer to that question, Seph?” Jenna purred out to her mate before she moved in to kiss him. “I’m going to be showing top-level magic with guile and deception.”
Sephiroth shook his head at her and began to chuckle. “Oh, so this is going to be nothing more than an excuse to defeat me in front of an audience?” He looked down at his box of materia, then back at her, closing the lid.
“You’re not going to be needing anything to prepare, are you?” He teleported the box to his subspace, then adjudted his sleeves.
