Desiree: *grumbles* It’s an endearment, Kalysto… *shakes her head* Sheesh, just let your ego swell like it’s supposed to. *she then kisses his cheek* And stop thinking so I can go to sleep. *chuckles*
Kalysto: *mumbles* Alright… but only because you say so…. *lies there for a while, just idly staring at the ceiling. After a time he slowly falls into a light restful sleep, remaining that way until early the next morning*
Desiree: *isn’t too bothered by the fact that Kalysto is still awake. Instead, she drifts off to sleep and sighs with contentment. She happily sleeps throughout the night. However, she’s woken up around four in the morning when Orpheus begins to cry* Urg… *groans as she pushes herself up and moves to the nursery so that she could check up on her son*
Kalysto: *flicks an ear idly as he hears the noise but doesn’t move up to get it*
Arte: *has already heard the crying noise and moves into the nursery not very long after Desiree* Oh, yeh, yeh. *grins* You wan’ t’ do it? I hear noise because I awake anyway. Um… *glances down at her hunting knife* Nearly sun-up. Go hunt food for Chakari’ai.
Desiree: *stares at Arte, her eyes are a bit blood-shot since it is early. She then groans* Huh? Umm… Yea… Chakari’ai… Right… Have fun. *yawns and walks over to Orpheus. She notices the scent coming from him. So, she reaches in and begins to change his diaper*
Arte: *loudly chuckles at Desiree’s tiredness. She nudges Desiree’s shoulder, then points into Milena’s crib, grinning* Chakari’ai. “Little-Dragon”. *grins to herself as she walks out of the room and exits the house*
Desiree: Oh… I see. *nods at Arte. She then returns her attention back to the diaper that she’s changing. After a few moments, she wipes down Orpheus before she puts a new diaper on him* Stop shitting so much, Zephiros… *yawns again then picks up the boy and pats his head*
Kalysto: *wakes up a short time later, then begins to fumble around in the other room, getting ready for the day. He combs out his hair and frowns at the purple smattering marks all over his face, then shrugs it off, placing on his robe. He walks into the kitchen and grabs some fruit for breakfast, loudly humming aloud to himself*
Desiree: *is in the kitchen, sitting in her preferred chair. At the moment, she’s permitting Orpheus to breast feed. However, she’s still rather tired, so her head is tilted down and she looks like she’s about to fall asleep*
Kalysto: *hears Desiree moving around and walks into the kitchen* What are you doing? *chomps into an apple, then stands at her side, poking her shoulder* Should you be doing that? *munches on the apple for a few moments* Want me to take him to work?
Desiree: *groans then blinks and tries to focus on Kalysto. After a moment, she seems to wake up enough to realize who he is and what he’s said* Huh…? Feeding him. Zephiros is hungry. *yawns* Your work not good place for him..
Kalysto: Oh nonsense. The Herb and Potion shop is perfect for him. Maybe there’s the odd explosion… like what occured before, but… It doesn’t happen often, alright! *folds his arms* Why don’t you take him to bed and go back to sleep?
Desiree: Books say don’t sleep with infant. Might roll on him.. *shakes her head* I’ll put him back in his crib once he’s done eating. And the shop still isn’t good place for him… *yawns again and lowers her head. Her eyes then begin to droop once more*
Kalysto: Why isn’t the shop a good place for him? Not like he’s going to get hurt by anything if I keep him in the right place. He can’t even stand up, let alone walk anywhere. *smirks* Anyway, if those women are going to come in looking for wedding dresses, they’re going to go gaga over him. He’s really little afterall. *smirks*
Desiree: Fine… But you need to keep a proper eye on him, ok? *shakes her head* Take a change of diapers, and if he gets stinky, you need to change him. Understand? *she notices that Orpheus has stopped suckling. So, she positions him so that she can burp him*
Kalysto: *grins and nods his head* I’ll keep him with me. Don’t worry about that. *sits down, waiting for Desiree to finish with the infant. He finishes off his apple and tosses the core into the sink* We have a basket for him right?
Desiree: I don’t think so. *shakes her head* We haven’t really traveled much of anywhere with him. Zephyros mostly stays inside the house. *yawns*
Orpheus: *releases a loud burp. His ears twitch as he looks up at his father. Soon after, he reaches out for Kalysto*
Kalysto: *glances down at the young male, then reaches down to pick him up, cradling him in his arms* We don’t? Maybe I can buy something today. I suppose I’ll have to, really, because I shouldn’t really be keeping him in a blanket-lined cardboard box under my desk.
Desiree: Mmm… No, you probably shouldn’t. *shakes her head then looks over Kalysto* Well, if you’re certain that he’s going to be alright.. *she gets up and then heads off to the bedroom* Good night… or whatever..
Orpheus: *stares back up at Kalysto. He then reaches up and tries to grab a clump of his father’s hair*
Kalysto: *winces heavily as his hair is pulled on* Ow. Ow. OW. Let go, seriously. *tries to pry his hair out of his son’s hand* Let go now. Really, I’m not kidding. *looks around desperately and carries Orpheus off towards Zulmire* Help. Now.
Zulmire: *blinks at Kalysto and begins to chuckle* Oy, ‘dat beh pretty sad rite ‘dere. *moves up to the pair and tries to hold Orpheus so he can pull him away* Come on now.
Orpheus: *Sticks the clump of hair in his mouth as soon as he gets a grip on it. Once Zulmire grasps onto him, he makes a soft whimpering noise, but he lets go of the hair*
Zulmire: *cradles the infant in his arms, lowering his tusks so Orpheus can pull on them if he really wanted to* Yew bes’ be off, ‘den. I got ‘dis guy.
Kalysto: *frowns* I’m taking him with me. *pauses* To work. So Desiree can get some proper sleep.
Zulmire: *tenses* Ey no, you not beh doin’ ‘dat.
Orpheus: *twitches about in Zulmire’s grip and stares up at him. He then pins his ears back and tries to reach out for Kalysto* Eh…
Kalysto: Desiree was fine with it. *flattens his ears* I’m going to buy him a basket on the way out, it will be fine. He sleeps most of the time anyway, and it won’t be dangerous because I’m not working on any harmful potions right now. See, look at him. He wants to go with me.
Zulmire: *slowly pulls Orpheus away* Eh, no. He beh stayin’ here. Ees quieter. Ees closer to mother, so she c’n feed him. You kid safe here. Not where you goin’. Off you be goin’ now.
Kalysto: *growls lightly, becoming angry* This is hardly fair. I don’t get to pick?
