Within the next hour, Jenna, Sephiroth, and their family are seated at the head table for the reception, which is being held in the largest Inn at Kalm. For the time being, Jenna has put up with all the attention that the random people who are attending the reception are giving her. She’s also kept her wings out for now, figuring that there is no point in making them vanish. At the moment, she is sitting next to Sephiroth and just petting his arm in an affectionate manner.
Sephiroth: *since the wedding ended, he seems a little less nervous, but not by much. The amount of people paying attention to him openly bothers the male, who sticks relatively close to Jenna. His nervousness would show in his appetite, for when foods are served at the reception table, he barely picks at them. He doesn’t say much except for make the occaisonal acknowledging grunt, keeping his focus away from everyone, and distant. He doesn’t smile or make much reaction towards photographs, nor engage in much conversation with the other guests*
Zach: *meanwhile, Sephiroth’s clone is quite the opposite. Thanks to having already consumed three glasses of rich wine, he is rather audible in his chatter to the other guests. He makes raucous laughing sounds occaisonally and smirks, even flirting with some of the guests*
Iris: *has migrated under the table and sits near Jenna’s legs, just wanting to go home*
Jenna: *groans as she notices the way that Sephiroth and Iris are behaving. However, she leaves Sephiroth to his devices for now. Instead, she reaches under the table so that she could grab Iris* You’re not supposed to be there. Stay in your seat, girl.
Desiree: *glances over her family as she sits next to Kalysto. She then looks over at him* Umm… All the attention isn’t bothering you, is it?
Iris: *she tries to hug onto Jenna, being very quiet and placid once close enough. She also tries to lean against her mother, feeling content to be close to her* S-seeee-eet?
Sephiroth: *jumps slightly as one of the employees from his work slaps him on the back, making an acknowledging grunt as the half-drunk male wishes him congratulations. He turns his attention down to his food and begins to pick at it more*
Jenna: Yes, girl, seat. *she sets Iris down in the chair next to her, mostly because she had set up that chair as Iris’s anyway. She then pats the girl’s head* Stay here and don’t go under the table.
Desiree: *sighs as she watches her family. She then turns her attention back to Kalysto* I’m surprised that most people leave us alone.
Kalysto: It’s probably because I’m so boring. They’re not exactly leaving me alone though. *picks up two folded handwritten notes, handing them to Desiree* Check these out. They’re not secret admirer letters either. They’re from women in this room asking if I can make them a wedding dress. *points to the second one* That one is offering 1.3 million gil.
Desiree: *glances over the note then whistles* Well, we can definitely pay off the house with that sort of money… *grins* Are you going to take the jobs? *she then looks at Sephiroth once more* You know, if we get married, we’re likely to get nearly as much attention..
Kalysto: It would seem like it… people are weird here. And another wedding would mean more publicity for wedding dresses and more crazy offers like this. *glances down at the paper and frowns* It’s not a matter of whether I’m going to accept it or not… I have to. Then we might actually have money, instead of me using the shop to pay off things like the house-mortgage. Orphy and Milly will need schooling too. I’m also going to buy a new mount if I do that. Do you know how to ride?
Desiree: Buy a new mount? *blinks at him* Umm… Chocobos are free, Kalysto. And… Orphy and Milly? *blinks, completely confused by the nick-names* What sort of names are those? *shakes her head*
Jenna: *glances up as someone tells her that it is time for the dance between her and her father. She then scowls and snorts* Seph, please watch over Iris for a bit. *she picks up Iris and sets her down in the chair that’s designated for the bride* Be tough and protect this chair, girl. *she then walks over to meet up with Quetizthol. Soon after, the two begin to waltz. However, it is clear that Jenna is keeping aloof and distant as they go though the paces*
Kalysto: Chocobos are free? How do I get one for free? I asked about getting a blue one and somebody told me I would need to pay stable and breeding fees, as well as for food until it grows big enough to ride. Then there was maintenance costs…
Iris: *sits in Jenna’s chair and lightly growls at anyone who gets too close, flicking her horn nubs at them*
Sephiroth: *watches Jenna dance with her father, seeming more curious at the fact she’s actually going through with it*
Desiree: Well, we would need to buy a stable, yea. But, you just need a chocobo lure materia. Then, you catch one.. Umm… *looks up and thinks* I remember my father mentioning special requirements to breed a blue.. *taps her fingers on the table before calling out to Sephiroth* Father, how do you breed a blue chocobo again?
Jenna: *her eyes are quite cold and distant as she continues to dance with Quetzithol. As soon as they are done, she promptly steps aside. She gives the disguised dragon a very short but courteous bow before she moves back to her seat*
Sephiroth: *watches Jenna dance, lightly nudging her shoulder when she returns to the seat. He curiously glances across to Desiree with raised eyebrows after she speaks her question* Why in the world would you want a Blue one? It would be much easier to get a Bla…. *goes quiet, thinking* First you need to capture a Great Chocobo from just outside of Mideel, and… *goes quiet again, scowling* Desiree, this is hardly the time or the place to be discussing something like that.
Iris: *squeaks at Jenna, raising her hands, begging to be picked up*
Desiree: I wanted to know because Kalysto wants to buy one. *frowns at Sephiroth* I told him that Chocobos can be caught for free, but he did mention a blue chocobo. You know how to get a blue one though, right?
Jenna: *allows herself a small grin as she returns to her seat. She then leans in to pick up Iris* Yes, yes. You did a good job.
Iris: *tries to hug onto Jenna, making happy eeeping noises, then tries to cling onto her* Mmmm…
Sephiroth: You can catch them for free but that doesn’t mean they’re going to be any good. Go out of Mideel’s city limits and catch a yellow one there. *scowls further* A specialist breeder can make different coloured ones. If you are just starting out, start with yellow ones. *snorts* However, I prefer to eat them.
Desiree: *groans at her father’s words. She then grumbles* You’re supposed to be helpful, father… *shakes her head* And why should we pay for anything if it can be gotten for free?
Jenna: *chuckles at Iris* It’s not that bad. Settle down.
Sephiroth: *frowns at Desiree* I just told you, go get a free one outside of Mideel. Breeding them is a complex process and you don’t know anything about them. I suggest you go buy some Chocobo breeding books and read up on it. *scowls* We don’t have the room for a Chocobo farm in Mideel though. I’ve no idea where you’re going to keep them.
Iris: *just contently holds onto Jenna, grinning*
Desiree: *nods at Sephiroth. She then looks at Kalysto* Was any of that useful at all?
Jenna: *looks up as she is told that it is time for the bride and groom’s dance. So, she sets Iris down once more* Protect my chair again. You did a good job last time. She then nudges Sephiroth* Come. It’s time.
Sephiroth: *sighs and slowly nods his head* Alright… *grasps Jenna’s hands, then leads her to the dance floor. He attempts to hold her in the same way they did in practise and turns his head down towards her* I’ll be happier when we’re alone together and this day is over…
Kalysto: Huh… *scratches the side of his head* Just go out and catch one? Seems simple enough.
Jenna: *softly chuckles at Sephiroth* Well, you will have that soon enough. *She moves her hands into position as well and lifts up her wings a bit in order to keep them from getting in the way. Soon enough, she nods at him* You’re the lead.
Desiree: *nods* Well, I did say that chocobos could be owned without paying much for them. So, you really want one?
Kalysto: Yeah. I want one. It would be a valuable way to get around. Nothing is wrong with it either, people travel long distances on Chocobos. I’ll have to get one and keep it away from my herb garden. I have heard rumors that they go crazy for certain greens.
Sephiroth: *nods silently and begins to slowly waltz to the music, gently dancing and moving, leading Jenna around the room carefully. His steps are vaguely clumsy, but much more precise than they have been previously*
Desiree: *nods* Yea, I think I’ve heard that much too… To be honest, I don’t know much more than you. I mean, my father occasionally talked about them… Well, not really.. But I didn’t grow up on this planet. So, I don’t know it too well.
Jenna: *tilts her head as she notices that Seph choose to waltz. She then shakes her head* Aw, didn’t want to wow them with the Earthen dance? *smirks at him. She keeps up with him with no problems* Try to calm down and move naturally.
Kalysto: Well give me the lure and I’ll go catch some when we get back to the house. Do you want one, or do you want to share it? I can’t imagine they’re very hard to maintain.
Sephiroth: Do you mean that aggressive dance we were doing the other day? *continues the slow dancing, slowly nodding at her* Well… if you want to do that, let me know. I will wait until this song is finished first, however.
Jenna: *shakes her head at Sephiroth* No, this is perfectly fine. Anyway, I won’t torment you with having to be out here in the center stage for such a long time. One dance is more than enough, Seph. *grins at him*
Desiree: Hmm… I’ll think about it. I don’t know why you would want one when you have your translucent dragon though. *shakes her head then frowns at him* You still haven’t explained those names you called the children.
Kalysto: *points to Desiree* Desi. *points to himself* Kaly. *flicks an ear* What are you not understanding? Orphy. Milly. *points at Zach* Doesn’t work for him, *points to Iris* Or her. *points to Sephiroth* …Sephy?
Sephiroth: *lowers his head to place down on her shoulder, humming along with the music. He continues the slow gentle dance with Jenna, his eyes snapping open, looking pissed when he hears the word “Sephy” coming from somebody*
Desiree: *yelps and quickly covers Kalysto’s mouth, hoping that Sephiroth didn’t hear that* My father really doesn’t want to be called childish things like that. *shakes her head* Don’t do that… Not to him.. *she glances over in Seph’s direction before nervously grinning*
Jenna: *doesn’t notice that Sephiroth has become pissed. Instead, she just continues to dance with him*
