Jennah: *deeply sighs at Seph’s questions* Learning to do things on your own and abandoning your family are two different things, Seph. As you come to be stronger and more capable on your own, you are supposed to help contribute to our family. Do you understand? *Shakes her head* And I cannot give you the answers, Seph. However, I’d hope you find the right solution on your own.
Sephiroth: *growls at her* Going outside to hunt is NOT abadoning the family. I go outside to explore, no other reason. What the hell makes you think I’m trying to abandon everyone here? *growls louder, clenching his fists, seeming very angry now*
Jennah: Seph, will you listen to me? I said that this is not about your hunts. You have been aggressive and short with all of us. You’ve been distancing yourself emotionally from us on several occasions. *deeply sighs* If you truly believe that you’ve done nothing wrong, just speak to Ramiel. He is the one that is being the most affected by your recent behaviors.
Sephiroth: *growls at her* Fine, what do you want me to do to fix it? I can’t spend the entire day around here making both of you happy. What about me? There’s nothing for me to do on the best of days so I make my own fun. *narrows his eyes* You can’t keep me around here all day doing whatever you want me to.
Jennah: *Groans and walks over to Seph. She firmly sets her hands down on his shoulders and looks into his eyes* Seph, settle down and get a hold of yourself first. I am not berating you. I am not telling you that you are in trouble. I understand that you want to hunt on your own. Still, please, perhaps you should consider talking to Ramiel without picking on him. Understand what is making him feel this way concerning you. *deeply frowns* We are such a small family.. But, I personally really enjoy the fact that we do indeed have a family.
Sephiroth: *glares back at Jennah, but listens to what she is saying. He slowlyt nods his head at her words, then irritably sighs* Fine, I can do that. As long as you’re not trying to keep me from my independance. That would be undermining pretty much everything you’ve told me so far. *moves away from her* I need to dry off now. So uh… can you please give me some privacy?
Jennah: *Frowns at him* I would think someone like you, who has lived a good portion of his life without a family, would consider that the most important thing ever. Not independence. *shakes her head* Seph, pick what is most important to you.. *steps out of his room and moves to her bed. She then lies down*
Sephiroth: *glares at her as she leaves* I leave for an hour and I’m a tyrant. Sheesh. *slams his door shut so he can properly dry off and change, growling to himself about the sensitivity of those around him*
Ramiel: *comes out of his room again, pushing a plastic truck along the floor, seeming amused. He heads for the stairs with it, grinning to himself*
Jennah: *sighs and just studies the ceiling for now, not feeling like doing much of anything. Eventually, she pulls up the covers to her bed and slips in under them, intending to rest for a bit*
Sephiroth: *moves out of the room once he is dry and dressed, then makes his way across to Ramiel, crouching down in front of him, reaching out with one hand to stop his plastic truck from being pushed any further forwards* Stop telling mother I’m doing bad things to you.
Ramiel: *stops and looks up at him, silent for now*
Jennah: *opens her eyes and frowns as she hears Seph’s first set of words. Still, she chooses to remain lying on the bed so that she can overhear the conversation. If she finds that Seph has taken her words incorrectly, she will intervene. However, for now, she wants to trust her sons.*
Sephiroth: *pushes the plastic truck away, then moves to sit on the floor, glaring at Ramiel for now* What makes you think I don’t like you? *folds his arms* I’m still always the same – same as I always was. Now what the heck is going on?
Ramiel: *whimpers and points to the truck* I was playing with that… *lowers his head, afraid to speak, and afraid of Sephy’s tone right now*
Jennah: *groans as she listens to the conversation and slowly sits upright. She looks over at Seph and Ramiel. Still, she doesn’t butt in. She just crosses her arms and shakes her head at the two boys*
Sephiroth: *slides the plastic truck back over to Ramiel, then gets to his feet again* Want me to teach you how to fly again? I’ve got nothing to do for the rest of the day. *glances up the stairwell* You’re going to have to practise from the ground this time. Or we could practise somewhere safe, like the training room. It has those safety mat things in there.
Ramiel: *takes back his truck, then silently shakes his head and pushes the truck back into his room, wanting to play there*
Sephiroth: *watches him leave, seeming annoyed* Well, I tried. *turns around and heads up the stairs*
Jennah: *tiredly groans as she witnesses the discussion between the two boys. She then shakes her head and looks up at the ceiling* I swear, this must be karma for something… *sighs once more then leans back onto her bed, soon closing her eyes* ~Seph, if you desire to sleep with me again tonight, you’re still welcome to it.~ *yawns and tries to make herself comfortable*
Sephiroth: *”Thanks for the offer, mother. I might take you up on it. Right now I’m going to practise upstairs. Hope you don’t mind.”* *runs into the training room, then sits down on one of the mats so he can begin meditating*
Jennah: ~You are fine, Seph. I told you several times that you are not in trouble. I just wanted you to be aware of certain things.~ *yawns and continues to relax on the bed* Ramiel? Why didn’t you just talk to your brother?
Ramiel: *frowns* He looked kind of mad, mother… I didn’t know what he was going to do. He already took away my truck, and he was angry when he did it… *deeply frowns, lowering his head* Was he going to throw it at me…? I don’t know…
Jennah: *groans and moves to cover her eyes with her left hand. She then slowly shakes her head* No, Ramiel, he was not going to throw it at you. You should have more faith in your brother than that. *slides her hand down off her face and to her side again* Please, just talk to him about what you told me. Nothing will change if both of you don’t talk.
Ramiel: *frowns and silently climbs up onto the bed, moving to Jennah’s side to hug onto her, wanting to be close to somebody right now* I don’t wanna… *whimpers slightly* I’m scared, mother…. I’m scared he’s going to get mad and punch me…
Jennah: *glances over at Ramiel and frowns at his words. She then begins to telepathicly send to Seph what she perceives from the conversation, hoping that maybe that will help him understand. However, she doesn’t bother to warn Seph that she is going to be sending him the telepathic transmission* Ramiel, you shouldn’t be afraid of your brother. Has he ever truly hurt you? *reaches over to pat the top of his head* Your brother does care about you.
Ramiel: *frowns as Jennah pats his head, then moves to lean against her* He hurts me all the time, mother… sometimes he punches me. Or kicks me. Or pulls my hair. *shakes his head* He cares about me, but he hurts me all the time…
Sephiroth: *sends a telepathic message back to Jennah that is somewhat hazy due to the fact he was trying to meditate. The message is mixed with light haze, and a good amount of anger as well* *”That little ratbag is lying to you! I never pull his hair, or kick him!”* *loudly snarls, seeming quite angry now*
Jennah: *her right eye twitches at Seph’s exclamations, but otherwise, she shows no signs of being bothered by his outburst. Instead, she just continues to pat Ramiel’s head* Are you most certain that your brother is trying to hurt you? Perhaps, he’s just trying to play with you and doesn’t realize his own strength.
Ramiel: *whimpers, on the verge of tears now* Oh, no… he’s not playing when he punches me… I know the difference between a play fight and a real one… and what he does is real, not play. *cringes* And it really hurts, too…
