Seph: *makes a grumbling noise* Yes, mother. *heads into the hot springs to strip down and clean himself off, spending no time at all to dunk his head under the water and soap it up with shampoo*
The dinosaur faithfully follows Sephy then stops at the edge of the spring. He lowers his head to inspect the water for a moment. He chirps as he inspects his own reflection then smacks at it with his right hand. Soon afterwards, the creature decides to jump into the water and romp around in it. He splashes water all over the place as he plays.
Seph: *loudly giggles and washes off his hair again, moving over to the dinosaur to splash him back* I hope you can swim, the water gets really deep. I don’t want you to drown.
The dinosaur chirps and continues to frolic in the shallow water, enjoying the warmth of the water and how it feels against his skin. However, he jumps and scampers out of the water as Seph splashes him, frightened by the action.
Seph: *frowns and immediately stops as he realizes he is scaring the creature* Oh no, don’t do that. Come back… *holds out his hand, offering it to him* Come on, I won’t hurt you. Come here, I’ll wash off your back.
The dinosaur just moves ontop of one of the large stones, that was original used as lazing heat stones by the original occupants of these caves. It chirps at Seph, but doesn’t move toward him. Instead, it shakes itself off before lying down on the rock.
Seph: *grins up at the dinosaur and leaves him to do his own thing, continuing to wash himself off* Have fun up there, mister dinosaur. *scrubs his back and splashes himself off*
The dinosaur remains on the rock and contenly rests on it. It is rather attracted to the heat coming out of the rock.
Jennah: *walks into the bathing area and nods at Seph* Are you having fun with your new friend, boy?
Seph: *glances back at her* He’s sleeping right now. He seems happy enough, so yeah, we’re having fun. I scared him by accident, but he’s forgotten about it.
Jennah: Yes, I imagine he would forget about things like that rather quiclky… I highly doubt that he has a developed enough brain to retain long-term memories. *shrugs then shakes her head* When you’re done, do you want to shoe me more of your video games?
Seph: You’re really interested in seeing them, huh? How come? *tilts his head at her* You should sit down and play them some time. You bought them for me, you should be allowed to play with them whenever you want. Same with my books, my TV, my toy building kit, and everything else. **moves over to her with a washcloth* Can you scrub my back? I can never get at it…
Jennah: *Shakes her head at Seph* I bought them for you. They are yours to play with, not mine. Anyway, it brings me more than enough joy to simply watch you having fun. That is sufficient enough of a reward for one such as me. *blinks as he asks her to scrub his back then shrugs* Of course, Seph. I’m always here to help you. *she sits down at the edge of the bank then grabs some soap. Soon afterward, she is busy scrubbing his back*
Seph: *sits very still and patiently for her while his back is scrubbed. He grins slightly, seeming to enjoy her touch* That feels very good, mother. I hope my back is not too dirty.
Jennah: *shakes her head at Seph and pats his shoulder once she finishes* No, it is not too dirty. But now it’s perfectly clean. *stands up* I’ll be in the bedroom. Call me if you need any more help.
Seph: *slowly nods his head* Yes, mother. *Sits down in the water, splashing around for a while, having fun in there*
Jennah: *mumbles to herself as she sits down on her bed and picks up her book once more* Why did he have to choose that thing as a pet..? *sighs and slowly shakes her head. She figures that as long as no harm comes to the boy, she would accept his new pet*
Seph: *soon finishes up in the hot springs area and wraps himself up in towels, not bothering to dry off or get dressed. He walks back into his room to watch the TV*
Jennah: *briefly looks up as Seph passes by, chuckling as she notices the towels* I see that you’re quite comfortable here. Or are you just enjoying things that Hojo never would have let you do?
Seph: *broadly grins and stops to look up at her* Yes. Hojo would never let me get away with this. Plus I am too lazy to dry off.
Jennah: *softly chuckles at him and shakes her head* Just don’t make a habit of walking around naked. It will leave your more private sections quite vulnerable to being attacked or damaged. *smirks at him* Oh, and get dressed in at least an hour from now. I am going to show you how to clean your clothing.
Seph: *frowns* Can’t you do it? I don’t like chores like that. I never had to wash my clothes in the lab, I just stuffed them in the laundry chute and never thought about them again.
Jennah: No, I intend to make you self-suficient. So, you will be doing your own laundry. Trust me, it’s not that hard. All that it is is tedious. *Shakes her head* Just remember, in an hour or two, ok?
Seph: *slowly nods his head, but it is very clear that he does not like the idea* Yes, mother. I will remember… * moves into his room to turn on the TV to play video games*
Jennah: *shakes her head at Seph’s attitude and sighs* Boys will be boys, I suppose. *looks up as she hears the sounds of the video game. She ponders over what type of game that he is playing, so she decides to stand up and walk into her room. She sits down not too far behind Seph and pats his back* So, do you want to teach me how to play this in return?
Seph: *glances up at her and hands over the controller. Press up to run forward. Press X to jump. Press the triangle to make the game character do it’s attack. You have to jump on the moving enemies and collect the objects that are floating around the level. You can also jump on the boxes to make them pop. It’s really not hard, it just requires timing.
