Zack spent the next few months and all of winter gathering food from wherever he could for the residents of his house. He spent most of his days building a new house as payment for the wetnurse’s services. The amount of activity he did caused his muscles to become more dense, yet he still remained mildly overweight. He was more than happy to see the spring arrive. It meant fresh berries and fresh meat if he could get it. After eating nothing but potatoes and corn all winter, he was very glad for the change.
On that day, Zack was a paticularly happy person. He had been closely watching the activities of a farm several miles north of the fishing village and with the abundance of new lambs, he had taken the opportunity to move in and kill one to take with him. Thanks to his experience with caring for a dragon, he cared nought about the blood and guts associated with killing for food. He neatly sliced open the newly born lamb to clean it out, leaving the guts in a pile away from the farm for the predators and scavengers to devour. He teleported back to the house and built a very primitive turn-spit to roast the lamb on, smirking with pride with what he had done.
Zack: *calls out to the resident of the house when the lamb is nearly done* Come out here with forks and plates! *licks his lips in anticipation of eating the lamb, quite hungry because of the smell produced by the burning fat, having not eaten red meat in many months*
