He is asked more or less continually about his appearance and many people shoo him away. Not discouraged, he continues looking for a number of hours. He finds a job later that afternoon, and repairs very basic steam-powered farm machines for the townspeople. He works on a tractor for a number of hours and happily clinks the money he is paid in his pocket, heading back to the boat* Maria? Wake up, OK? I made enough money to house you in an inn for three days. We can stay here for a week or two if you want. I can work to earn my keep. *grins*
