Mint oil, hypnotherapy ($150 a session), Lomotil (has an opiate deritive inside so is addictive, and if one ODs, the consequences can be fatal), and good ol Immodium. All of those juggled will quieten symptoms, but won’t shut them up. If I eat nothing but soft fibres and pasta for the rest of my life, that won’t shut it up either.
I’ve basically been handed a life sentence of sucky food and boring. Which is OK in one regard, because it means I’m forced to remain a scrawny twig forever.
