I think I’m finally nipping some of my technical glitches in the buttox! At the very least, I’m very happy that it was one continuous stream and didn’t split up into a bunch of parts.
If anyone was interested and wished to view the events of this evening:

Feel free to enjoy. I’ll work on getting some highlights made of this one since I was actually happy with this week’s stream.
I swear, last blog spam.
Finally, after three days of uploading and processing:
Anyway, I really need to get down to the bottom of the glitches that occur while I’m streaming. Having the stream cut out enough times that it splits into 11 pieces is unacceptable.
Enjoy the insanity from last Friday.
Some of the plugins for my blog have updated, which have added some new functionality to this site. They seem to be pretty fun. It might be worth poking at them and testing them out.
In other news, I’m still waiting for my video from last Friday to fully load onto YouTube… The streaming software had split it up into 11 parts, which reflected onto twitch.tv, so I wasn’t too happy with that result.
I noticed that there was an update to my soundcard, so hopefully that will fix up some things. I might also try restarting my router and modem next time I stream. I’m not certain what more I can do to make the process cleaner…
The WOM had an issue this evening, they do a weekly stream, but their streamer was AWOL. Thus, they talked Seferia into actually getting onto Monster Hunter Tri. Here are the results.

We are sooo serious!
Also, so I never lose this information, for I had issues getting the recording to go into widescreen until after the fact:
“I had trouble with getting my PVR to record the Wii on widescreen but I’ve seemed to got it now. If anyone else is having trouble, all I did was set up ArcSoft ShowBiz to capture, had both the Hauppauge and Wii on, turned off the Hauppauge and turned it on again and pressed the refresh button on the next to the Source dropdown box in the Capture window.”
Yea…
Haven’t been blogging for a while. That’s mostly been because I’ve been recovering from illness and just not feeling like doing anything other than going blegh and grr at the fact that I had no voice. Though… the “grr” wasn’t physically possible.
Anyway, I was insane and streamed on Friday. So, if anyone missed it, here are the recordings from this past Friday’s Freedom Fridays.

I clearly still have bugs going on with my recording set-up. I had attempted switching from the USB connection for my headset to the direct line inputs. However, the sound for the game still buzzed and the recording program froze a few times. So, I’m going to have to do more prodding to try to perfect that. I also still don’t know why it split into two parts when I never stopped streaming. Oh wells.
Enjoy the “squeak”.
Well, it is Monday, so back to work for me. However, I had plenty of events that occurred over the weekend to speak of, so I might as well speak of them.
As I mentioned in a previous post, EVO occurred this past weekend here in Las Vegas, so I swung by to hang out with the guys. For the most part, I had fun. We conversed and had many laughs while hanging out there. Some attempted to convince me that a game called Dive Kick was great… I just didn’t see the appeal. It was much too bland for my tastes. However, those that got into it certainly had fun.
On Saturday, I woke up with a terrible headache due to dehydration, something that sometimes happens since I live in a desert. Thus, when I wasn’t able to park where I had planned to and had my way blocked to park in the alternative spot, I parked at the Palazzo, which was farther north than I had intended to be. Thanks to the distance, heat, and already dehydrated state that I was in, I quickly felt too flushed and exhausted to continue down to the Coke Store where I had intended to meet up with some guys for some more hanging out. So, I had to miss out on that.
However, I did not miss out on the dinner at Margarittaville, which was rather fun. Greg, Toshin, Will, Will’s girlfriend, and Toshin’s friend all joined me there, and we just chattered on for a good two hours while dining. It was a very fun time. I once again wish to thank Greg for treating us.
So, that’s basically what occurred at EVO, however, one other thing did occur this past weekend. I had hosted another Freedom Fridays stream last Friday, which went much smoother than the previous attempt. I still need to do some tweaking, for there were points in which the video froze up. I think it was mostly my computer or connection being a pain though. I also noticed that even though I don’t recall a drop in the connection, the saved stream is in two parts. So, either my cat walked over my keyboard or the connection did drop for a few seconds. I’ll continue to fiddle with the settings to perfect everything.
Anyway, for those who wish to see the result of last Friday’s stream:

Enjoy.
Yay, the weekend is basically here. I just need to survive a few hours of work, then I’ll have my blissful days off. Even better, I actually have a plan for the weekend.
You see, starting today, there is an event going on in Las Vegas called EVO. While I won’t be competing at all, I’ll still be heading over to hang out with a few people from Capcom Unity who have gone to Sin City to enjoy the show. We also plan to eat at Margarittaville tomorrow, which is one of my favorite spots.
So, tonight, after work, I’ll be swinging to the Caesar’s Palace to check out EVO and see what’s going on. I also do still plan on streaming tonight. However, I cannot say when I’ll be available to stream.
I’m definitely thinking of streaming something tomorrow. Now, I shall possibly poke Darius and the crew and see if they want to do a revived fight night stream. If not, perhaps I’ll do Borderlands with Malek. Maybe I’ll just do P3rd.
I should also try to figure out which night the EVO crew will be meeting up for dinner. If it’s Friday, I might have issues trying to work out the P3rd stream on Friday. I’ll figure it out. Mmmm-hmmm.
Well, I survived and didn’t faint or anything while doing my first ever live stream. I know my voice sucks and I’m not the greatest personality, but I think I did ok… minus the hour in which my voice wasn’t broadcasting due to an attempt to fix one technical glitch which caused another.
I am aware that there were lag issues throughout the stream, so I’m doing further research into my set-up in order to help improve on the recording. With luck, it’ll all sort out soon enough.
Also, I believe I said that I would stream every-other week. Well, I realized that in two weeks is EVO, so I may not be around to stream during that time. I’ll try to do a make-up stream on the 4th of July or something. I’ll figure it out.
To anyone reading this who watched the stream last night, thanks and sorry for the glitches. My first go through and I’m working out the bugs.
