Let’s start with what everyone knows. Seferia is peeved at the system that the game has set up for the war line-ups. The matchmaking needs some serious reviewing because there is much that does not line up with what is stated in the FAQ and whatnot. Anyway, onto the line-up, suggestions, videos, and then comparison.
Oh, and this time there is going to be a comparison!
Before I begin today, thank you to the members of USA Alliance for letting me know what bases were picked. If anyone wants to know how I know what to rant about, please look here:
Base #1

So, what does this base have to offer? a number of difficult defenses for a level 10 base. As such, a weaker team without full level 30s may have issues.
I went in from the right hand side so that I could just walk up to one mortar and take it out. I followed this with some messy slip-comboes around the other two mortars.
A flying team that one shots mortars will work best against the spread of this base.
So, to bring in something different, since I know our line-up. Let’s compare our first base:
This is a matter of needing to build up our bases in general, sure. However, it highlights the discrepancy between the two line-ups.
For the record, this rant is going to get ugly soon.
Base #2

Don’t do what I did and forget to send out your healer… *coughs*
Anyway, there is a nice AOE spot right at the laser beam. Use it if you want to.
Once again, our comparison base:
So, at this point, it looks pretty even, right? Nothing to be ranting about, huh?
Base #3

However, we should still review this base a bit.
So, the missile launcher is up front, a useful little thing to notice. This means you can just use a warrior to charge right in. Take it out with an attack like that or with Skywarp. Either option works.
The mortars and beams are spread out a bit, so you’ll need to be careful about how you take on this base. I went from the left so that I could face the weaker mortar first.
The good news is that this base does not have level 40+s yet. So, take your time and think out your attacks.
So… what are we offering?
Decent, but not even a close comparison between the two bases. Their third base is clearly a stronger base for my growing members to be facing up against.
Base #4

I modified my B team to get the optimal set-up. Unfortunately, I had a Skrapnel that loved skirting the edges, so it did not happen as cleanly as I wanted. Still, I needed to pull all my tricks out of the bag for this base.
EMP will be your friend for the bots. You will want to use it to keep them held down.
You will also want to one-shot the beams and launcher if you can.
Good luck everyone.
And our grand 4th base? Certainly it took from one of our level 12’s or 11’s with a missile launcher, right? Certainly the RNGÂ felt that having a base with strong defenses that match up to their 4th base would be fair, correct?
No, it did not! It picked a base that is by far not one of our top bases. It decided that our base should be one that is possibly weaker than the prior base, depending on the strength of the bots laying inside of the bunkers. It doesn’t matter much because our line-up is clearly lopsided in their favor. There is no questions about who is getting the better end of the deal.
This would not be a problem to me if not for one fact: I see this all of the time! Our matches are not fair on most circumstances and I cannot feel that this is simply a matter of that’s what Gold League has to offer. We have seen far closer matches in Gold many times over. The game just doesn’t provide equal matches one way or another.
Whenever we have a strong line-up, they have a weak one. When they have a strong line-up, ours is weak as well. I have rarely seen an equal standing in wars.
I understand that we need even stronger bases in general. However, a prior post that I posted up showed that we do have stronger bases. However, the game loves ignoring those stronger bases on multiple occasions. It is a maddening fact that the war system is not a fair system and needs some fine tuning.
Anyway, onto the commander:
Commander

I barely had to try for this one. Just went in from the right and took out the base. Treat it like the first base and you’ll be fine.
So, congrats to how many others can get past the middle two bases to get to the commander. At least I know that they will have a difficult fight while going against my base. So, there’s that much?
Also, another reason why I’m peeved at the system, let’s compare the two alliances that are considered to be fair matches:
vs
If you cannot guess by looking at these two alliances, there’s have many more heavy hitters than ours. So, we need a stronger defense than them to be able to pull off a war.
However, the game does not agree with what I see when looking at these two alliances. It instead decided we needed a weak defense to be a fair war.
….
Yes, I’m still peeved at the system.
