Freedom Fridays has come to an end

Sadly, my evening before streaming was restless, so I wasn’t the most energetic for my final Freedom Fridays stream as I had wanted to be. However, I did my best to have some fun and stream with as much energy and sanity as I could manage. I will admit, that I did indeed have fun as well. I just couldn’t come anywhere close to maintaining my usual momentum with the lack of sleep that I had.

However, I did have one sweet moment. I do not know if it was a glitch or what, but I managed to trap two monsters in one pitfall trap. It was glorious. It was also completely unexpected. I had never seen that occur. By the response in the chat, nor had anyone else who had viewed the stream.

Also, I so need to stop saying that staff members said they’d show and hunt. It seems to curse me. I swear they say it, but they do have lives and wind up being delayed at times.

Oh yes, and the Hauppauge sometimes does freak out. I was silly and forgot how I had managed to reset it from those times without a reboot. Hopefully next time it happens, I’ll remember that process properly.

Anyway, feel free to watch the finale here.

The season finale is approaching.

Freedom Fridays is quickly reaching the end of its life. As I had mentioned before, I have intentions of replacing my weekly Monster Hunter stream with a TriU-based stream. I’ve yet to pin down a name or day for this stream, so I’m open to suggestions.

Anyway, this past week’s Freedom Fridays was a complete success. It may have started off slow, but once it picked up, it was a blast. I also beat my prior records of nearing but not passing 9 hours of streaming. Yes, now my record stands firmly at a ten hour long non-stop stream.

The only sad thing about the stream was that at about hte half-way point, the frame rate became unstable. I’ll try to isolate the problem to determine if I can stream with music playing again or not. However, the music that I was playing at the start of the stream had to be killed off.

There was also a slight issue near the end with a person making comments that were not quite ones that I wanted to support in any way nor give any impression that I support. I do not enjoy having an entire group of people blanket-hated upon. I care not how one wants to term this hatred, it is not ok. Those that do come on the calls for my streams with such attitudes will be removed each and every time.

Anyway, if you think that you can make it, enjoy watching the recording of the stream.

The end is drawing near

Tri Ultimate is releasing this month, which means that the weekly stream for P3rd is likely going to conclude in two weeks or so. This doesn’t mean that I’m done with P3rd streaming nor weekly monster hunter streams. No, it just means that the P3rd stream will be replaced with a TriU stream.

I’d also probably be likely to move the date of the weekly stream to make it work out a bit better, maybe. I don’t know. I’ll see if Friday is still a desirable day. I have time to think on that matter.

P3rd streams will likely occur when I have the whim to go onto P3rd. However, Freedom Fridays will be set free.

Anyway, enough of that talk. I’m not even fully certain what my plans are yet.

Anyway, this past Friday, I did stream P3rd again and this time, I think that I have the audio working nearly perfectly with what I want. I might need some tweaks and such, but it sounded much more stable from what I’ve skimmed over.

Unfortunately, Xsplit did have a silly error near the start of the stream. However, that was just a random error that could not be planned for. Sadly, computer programs do occasionally do that.

Anyway, feel free to watch the recordings. I’m open to any feedback, especially on the audio quality.

A late Valentine’s for Monster Hunter

Well, yesterday, I once again had a successful stream for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.  This time around, there were no errors!  None!  Woot!

We had some fun debates at times as well.  Now, I won’t go into the details, because I’d rather let one find them and judge for their own on what side of the debate they’d rather be.  I also said my side quite extensively throughout the stream.  So, I’d rather not indulge even more on my opinons on the matter than I already have.

Also, please note that Seferia is a marathon streamer.  I start playing and I don’t quit until I’m literally dropping dead or out of participants.  So, this past stream lasted a good long time.  Just shy of nine hours.  I’m really tempted to try for a 24 hour stream one tme, but that will probably have to wait until a really good weekend or a vacation.  I don’t even know if I have it in me to stay up like I used to any longer.  So, it might just be a thought that will never be.

Anyway, enjoy the recording.

A night full of mic errors

Last night, I once again presented my weekly broadcast of Freedom Fridays, featuring Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. Unfortunately, there were a number of errors that were mostly out of my hands.

It started with an error that was in my hand, I had my mic boom positioned above my head. That was silly of me. However, that was only about ten or so minutes of the stream, and it was an easy fix of going “duh, Seferia, it’s up there!!” However, unfortunately, that was followed by other mic errors for the evening. Redstache unfortunately had a static that evening. I had mentioned it to him a few times, but I decided to go with it and just leave it be. So, I had a few problems understanding what he was saying. THen, later on, Shayla’s mic did a bit of echoing, that made things a bit strange. There was also the new guy, Scott_Popular, who I didn’t have on skype, only the PSN’s mic channel. So, sorry that I didn’t get you on skype, but next time around, perhaps?

Overall, though, the stream was fun. We had Canti show up for some hunts, and we actually got to teach Shayla some fun tips.

Feel free to enjoy the show.

Poor Deva has a long way to go

A very long way to go. Deva knows the basics of Monster Hunter, but Deva does have a great tendency to die. So, prepare to watch a recording full of death, destruction, sorrow, and drama. For that was what last night had.

Unofrunately, Seferia also died a few times last night as well. She cannot say that it was her best night. However, she got to use her Sexy Pirate armor. So, that much was a plus!

Feel free to watch the recording after the break below. Also, please ignore the momentary peak at Seferia’s desktop during the stream. You saw nothing!

Missed last night’s stream?

Well, Seferia is here to give the basic review and put up the video just to give you that chance to watch and comment on the stream.

First and foremost, I must appologize for the first bit of the stream. I made a silly mistake and did not properly adjust the volume. Also, the headset that I’ve been using for the last two days is a cheap Plantonics headset. This one is only being used while my good one is sent off for warranty repairs or replacement. My normal headset, a Sennheiser, had been creating static, wo I felt that it was best to send it in for warranty reparis.

Anyway, aside from that, I feel that the stream was an overall success. We had an active chat and happily conversed with the guests and chat participants. Though, I once again say my laptop was possessed when it banned Viride on it’s own. I swear, I was sitting there playing the game, there was no kitty near my laptop, and I don’t recall bumping it.. It was possessed!

The members of the Teamwork podcast hunted with Malek and I for four hours. We did various silly challenges and things like that. I used my Cat’s Paw for maximum damage. Yes, things worked out. Once they left, Malek and I continued to hunt. During that time, we had quite a few interesting hunts. Malek’s death by Jaggi was epic. Then, near the end, Greg Moore from Capcom once again joined my stream.

As I said, it was a success for the most part.

Campaign statement has been made

For a while, I’ve been saying that Godzilla music deserves to go with Monster Hunter. I’ve also been saying that if Capcom really wanted a star-power cross-over, they’d contact Toho and get a Godzilla crossover. I’ll continue to say that.

Now, the likelihood of my statements ever seeing the light a day are close to nil. Still, I shall continue to dream and have fun with the idea in my head.

For now, though, I can be a girl with the ability to stream. I can be a girl with a large Godzilla music collection. And I can be a girl who can play this music while streaming Monster Hunter.
